SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS 😊Delicious, fast, and friendly place! Great breakfast brought out piping hot, with super large portions. I loved the flavors a lot. Creamy, buttery, and super cheesy grits. Gigantic, and crispy pancakes. The sausage was so delicious. Definitely would come back for their wonderful breakfast. Prices are fantastic as well 😊😊😊

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I saw one employee handle someone's food with their bare hands (the cooked meat from a sandwich had fallen out and they scooped it up and put it back in). That same employee was handling the money. I then saw another employee put raw chicken on the grill with gloves, then barely wipe their gloved hands on a cloth towel that was clearly going to be used multiple times and then put those same gloves into a bag of lettuce to give me salad. I cancelled my order and left. That's just too much unsanitary food handling for me to witness in such a short time. It's clearly the way they do normally operate.

1st time in and it was so delicious! Gives you that authentic homemade Cuban food comfort feeling. 🤤🥰 I had the Cafe con Leche and an Egg,Chorizo and Cheese on Cuban bread sandwich. The best! && prices are great. Definitely try it out if you love authentic Cuban food! As you can see I was digging into mine! The other half of Cuban bread from my sandwich is for dipping in my coffee!!! Staff was so sweet and helpful. Thank you! 🤩

Visiting from England with my Girlfriend who is originally from Miami, we're always looking for authentic Cuban food to enjoy. The empanada and Medianoche we had here were both perfect and the aromas from the other Cuban dishes were super tempting too, go and check it out!

Thought I'd grab lunch here since we're on break from jury duty selection; I assumed it would be better than the chain sandwich shop closer to the courthouse. I ordered a small Cuban sandwich, french fries, and deviled crab. Fries are okay. The Cuban sandwich was a generous size for a small, but very little pork. And, the deviled crab - something told me not to get it, but I did anyway since I thought the worse that could happen would be it having very little crab - I was wrong! Not the worse - I took one bite and spit it right out! It tasted spoiled/rotten/rancid/gross/no bueno! Makes me question the quality and freshness of the rest of their food, like the sandwich I ate. I'll post an update if I feel sick later. The one star is for the politeness of the 2 men there. * I don't like to do negative reviews since there's enough people that don't mind, but for food that tastes spoiled or rotten - all day! The least a restaurant could do is make sure the food they serve is not spoiled!

Had the pleasure of grabbing lunch on Monday at Cafe Perera on N Morgan just off E Twiggs, about a block from the Courthouse (I was the lucky recipient of a jury duty summons 🤦🏻‍♀️). There was a decent line to order and many tables were taken but we grabbed a free table and I made my way up the line. Ordered a BLT because I assumed it would be fast and we had limited time. My sandwich was actually very flavorful, considering the basic nature of a BLT. Bread was fresh and toasted just enough, LOTS of bacon, fresh tomato that actually tasted like tomato, crisp lettuce. What more could I ask for? Staff was pleasant. Poor guy behind the cash register was dealing with a bit of a crisis because the register stopped functioning, he couldn’t even get the cash drawer to open to make change. He very graciously offered me my sandwich gratis since I had to wait a while to pay. I declined, he’s running a business, not a charity, but I appreciated the offer. Fortunately for him, he got it fixed and only one out of three took him up on the freebie. If I’m in that neighborhood again I’d definitely go back. Not haute cuisine, but a solid lunch option.

Best breakfast I've had in awhile. Business has been there for 31 years. The owner, and staff are very friendly and hospitable. It's old school Tampa vibe.

Their selection of breakfast sandwiches is diverse; my go-to is the sausage, egg, and cheese on Cuban toast. Operating from early hours, they even offer a lunch menu.

The food was freaking amazing and it seems like the entire menu is delicious. It was very hard to pick just one item. Plus it's a great place to feed the whole family.

A cute little local breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Tampa. I enjoyed a bacon, egg and cheese Cubano and iced coffee. The sandwich was very well proportioned with bacon, egg and cheese in almost every bite! It looks small in the picture but it is b/c it is pressed like a panini. Spent about $13 w/tip. Would recommend

Busy spot for a quick lunch but they serve up fresh foods fast. I had the lunch bowl from the hot side customized how I wanted it. Delicious yellow rice and black beans with roasted pork with onions on top. A side of hot plantains for a treat. Food tasted great and was hot and fresh. Servers were friendly and fast.

The cafe con leche is perfection, just the thing to wake you up. They have a variety of breakfast sandwiches, I usually go for the sausage, egg and cheese on Cuban toast. The staff is always smiling and very courteous. This is a family run business and you do get the homey vibe here. They're open super early and have lunch menu as well.

I catered lunch for my employees today. The food was absolutely delicious! The Baked Chicken was so juicy and seasoned well. The Yellow Rice and Black Beans was very delicious. I will definitely cater from Cafe Perera’s again. I have also catered Breakfast and it was really good as well!

I come here 3 times per week because I'm addicted to Cafe Perera's mojo pork with black beans and rice. It's very reasonably priced with big portions.

Ate here both days for my Jury Duty lunch breaks. Short walk from the courthouse. The food was great. I guess it's a secret because there were never lines.
