Super cool museum for kids. Ideal for toddlers, ages 2 and up. Lots of interactive things for them to do. Lots of learning tools for early engineers, musicians, artists, farmers, ambulance drivers, doctors and more. Very affordable option for you to enjoy with your family and children.

Super fun place to visit for little ones but can get a bit pricey at $18 a person. Super fun, 3 stories with all kinds of interactive play. (Shopping center, Dr &Vet, Fire, water and sand play, dance party etc). They also lost the field trip forecast on their social media which is helpful to look up before you go.

My little ones absolutely love this children’s museum. From the 0-3 newborn/toddler area to the waterways exhibit and from the arts & crafts corner to the play pizza making area, and more, there is something for everyone. We especially appreciate the rotating exhibit space which keeps things fresh and the little cafe which provides several options to feed one’s hungry tykes. The place is kept very clean w/ hand sanitizing stations in front of every play section. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And we love how at the end of the day, a staff member leads the kids in attendance for the day on a mini parade through the museum. If you either live in the Tampa area or are just visiting, we highly recommend this place for families, especially those with little ones.

This place is so awesome. We have been twice. The first time was a few years back and it looked so much different! This time we went, we noticed that a lot of exhibits were closed I’m assuming due to renovations, but we still had a blast. We parked in the Poe garage, and it was about $7 for 4 hours I believe.

My 6 yr old, 4 year old loved it!! So much to do. We went on a Saturday in April it was pretty busy but we never had to wait for anything. They had little activities throughout the day and it's stroller friendly. Even had a small area that my baby could enjoy. It's just two floors so it's smaller than ones I've gone to but so much fun.

Very Fun place for kids to have fun and learn at the same time. Clean and nice location if you decided to explore out door with its beautiful Scenery and boat ride on the side. Kids can enjoy to get wet also playing those water fountain outside. Fee is reasonable. I just hope they will have more variety of Food to purchase available inside.

This kids museum is clean and has a lot of things for kids to do! The employees were very interactive with the kids. They offer a craft and a story time. The upstairs is more for older kids, but they do have a small down stairs area for babies to play. The upstairs area for the older kids has a fire station area, little Publix, a mock living room to build forts, an ice cream shop, pizza place, a disco and an area to put on plays. They offered more but those are the one I can remember. I really enjoyed the large windows as well that overlooked the park next door to the museum. It makes the place sunny and bright! This place is well worth the 25 minute drive and I will be coming back. You do have to pay for parking. Either find parking on the street or in the parking garage next door. It is pay by the hour.

The Glazer Children's Museum is a fantastic destination for families with children between the ages of 2-12. Located in downtown Tampa, the museum features a wide range of interactive exhibits and activities that are designed to engage and educate young minds. Upon entering the museum, you'll be greeted by a friendly staff and a colorful, kid-friendly environment. The exhibits are divided into different sections, each with its own theme and activities. There's a science and engineering area, a music and art studio, a health and wellness section, and much more. One of the highlights of the museum is the "Gadget Garage," where kids can experiment with various tools and gadgets to learn about mechanics, engineering, and more. There's also a "Central Bank," where kids can learn about money and finance through fun, interactive games. Another popular exhibit is the "Kid-sized City," which is designed to resemble a miniature town with its own grocery store, bank, and post office. Kids can role-play and explore this tiny world, which is a great way to encourage creativity and socialization. Overall, the Glazer Children's Museum is a must-visit destination for families with kids between the ages of 2-12. With its engaging exhibits, interactive activities, and welcoming atmosphere, it's sure to be a hit with children and adults alike

Great place to visit in Tampa, specially on a rainy day. It was quite busy today, probably a combination of rain and spring break. Lots of fun things for kids to do, learn and explore. We were there for about two hours. Our daughter had a lot of fun. We loved all the great information about water and conservation.

This place was super awesome! I have 4 kids ranging from 1 years old to 6 years old. They all loved it and there was something there for each of them. There is 3 floors, start at the top floor and work down is the best way. We spent about 4 hours here and definitely could’ve spent another hour. All the workers were super kind and were great with the kids. It was clean and all around a great place to stop with the kids if you’re passing through or in the area. The second floor is FULL of different super hands on things for your kiddos. We came on a Sunday around 12pm and it was not super busy which was great! We will definitely be coming back as this was our first time here. We live on the East coast and visited here for the day. If you’re thinking about making a trip here it’s worth it! If you have EBT or WIC be sure to use the discounts they offer as well.

What sets Glazier children’s museum apart from the rest is their “museums for all“ policy. Low income families can come for a greatly reduced price. They frequently offer multi cultural events and monthly sensory sensitive days. This type of care for various populations in our community really sets the bar! I would have given the museum a five star rating, but there were a number of exhibits that were “down“ and in need of repair. Some were just a few parts of an existing exhibit, others were the entire exhibits. (The place has been well loved.) also cleanliness was an issue in some exhibits. But in spite of that, our family had an amazing time and I had to literally pry my youngest daughter away. Highlights of the day were the water feature on the first floor with balls running down bridges and rain coming from the sky, as well as the public shopping area, the vet and the Saint Joe’s medical unit. There is a café downstairs, but it has limited offerings and is a bit on the pricey side. We packed a lunch and ate at Chris Hickman park next-door.

I brought my 1 year old here, and was a little disappointed with the lack of activities, but if you have an older kid they would love it here. I thought it would be more educational but it’s basically a giant play area for kids. On the third floor, however, they have a very interactive and educational exhibit about Big John the triceratops. I hope they get more educational materials in the future but overall the place looks very fun for kids. You also get a huge discount if you have food stamps!

Great place for kiddos. Well staffed, plenty of kids activities and all hands on exhibits. Our girls got a kick out of the stage and the weights and measurement activities. This is aimed at younger kids.

We love our membership. Offers us an indoor place we can go have fun. I have 4 kids from, now, 2-12 and all have fun. We arrive when they open, play until done, bring lunch or a snack for after to eat on site then head home for nap. It's great.

My review could be an entire page long if I'm not careful! My kiddos (8&6) had an amazing time!!! We played for 6 hours with a 30 minute stop for lunch. From crafts, mini Publix, fire station, Big John the dinosaur, there is SO much to see and do! We learned about Glazer from an episode of Blippi, I had my doubts going into this but we had an amazing experience. Now if your child is not the "imagination" type, this is probably not the place for them. This is the place to flex those imagination muscles and explore. I can see how an 8 year old that isn't into imaginative play could be bored and not have a good time. There are a few things throughout the museum that are being worked on. Coming off a busy summer season, it's expected. Thousands of kids came through the museum over the summer, kids are hard on things. Now cost, we have been to a LOT of museums around the country. This one is slightly higher than some but not terrible. The adult price can definitely be lower, seeing as we just get to walk around and supervise. Parking, we drive a dually and I was slightly nervous about the parking garage. We made it fine but it was close. There was plenty of parking in the garage on a Friday.

Awesome for kids. Basically a kid playground that is packed of things to learn. All hands on and my toddlers love it. Only a single (but big) elevator and 3 floors to explore. The Dino coming to life on screen was the highlight. There is public parking lots but a short walk from a few of the big hotels. Walked with a stroller which seemed easier than driving in traffic.

My 7-year-old granddaughter enjoyed everything! The bottom floor had a water feature she played with for over an hour. "Big John," a fossilized Triceratops skeleton exhibit, (largest known Triceratops skeleton) on the third floor had interactive features. Tickets are required to view it at a specific time. There was a "grocery store," a fire station pole," and a "pizza restaurant," among other things.

•topic dialogue Serving at the Museum since October 2022 until March 15, 2023. Has been a great honor. Here is my #backstory to not only just #serving, #working & #playing at the direct GLAZIER Children Museum in general. When I had arrived to be hired at the GLAZIER Children Museum last year October I was honored knowing where I was just coming from a background of specializing in the field of #mentalhealth as a BHT which is Behavioral Health Technician entry level position. As I was able to bring those skills to the museum & add them along with many other great professional skills that too aided me along this journey of this full experience of the museum. I was able to apply them all! I applied the skills set that I had gained from working with the company YMCA as an youth care after school counselor in this Playogolist position that I was hired working at the GLAZIER Children Museum. I was able to apply even too the Customer Courtesy Service position skills set too that I applied within this position working at the GLAZIER Children Museum. I was able to even apply being a natural Dad as you see I'm a Dad to these two beautiful children in general while they got to experience enjoying the GLAZIER Children Museum in general too as I was working there & many occasions they got to witness the professional work ethic that was exactly displayed. They enjoyed the good service that I was able to serve unto them & even still customers too encouraging them to keep enjoying these rare moments to add so much value to their family memories. As I had got my Dietician Nutritional certification I was able to apply that within this position able to deliver great high performance even displaying the natural talents & gift's within me to even ingrate with the experiences I had encountered at the museum overall. In this moment today as I went to serve/work/play I was directly let go in general surprised very much so with No! Inform. I'm sharing this post because, as today I had experienced being "release & let go". I've been waiting to share not just an post about recommendations of going to this place. I'm sharing this because, just as I served & worked in the Mental-Health field beforehand coming & getting hired for the museum in general. I was able to share the services unto so many customer's about being an guide into deep pre'meditation unto meditation aiding them to connect to the infinite everlasting eternal Creator for me I call the Creator the Most High YAH. I was able to also share healthy nutritional facts with families even into guiding with encouraging to eat daily value nutritional meals as I practice this with my family & all. I even shared this too with co-workers. I was able to even perform just naturally supporting families to encourage their children to read in story-time along with applying the Infinite Creator the Most High YAH natural talents & gift's in me. I witness children complimenting me. I witness families laughs, smiles & also too their inner'beingness/inner'child coming out of them to just be enjoying deeply the moment. As also an trauma informed specialist I was able to detect symptoms of behaviors of direct children behaviors & was able to curve their behavior aiding the families through many transitions especially within a museums unto the next exhibits. So yes in all these direct encounterings & now added more skills I'm very grateful in the position I was able to serve directly in. Last towards all the direct equipment within each exhibit the one on the first floor name "Color Cloud" I believe was one of the many great experiences along with apply much joyfulness to doing the too end of the day parade. In the Color cloud I applied to guide so many soul's within their direct bodies to truly connect with such deep sensations within themselves in such melody playful ways that it was just honest amazing to see in general. This is fun Children's museum with lots of area to explore! Of our family favorites is to climb up the enclosed tree and leaf area. Something that was a surprise after seeing "Big John" the triceratops, they have this impressive screen that creates a dinosaur the way you or your child has colored it, it was impressive! Bring a change of clothes as there is a fountain our front our family wanted to run through.

Great place to bring younger children. There are tons of activities to keep them busy, engaged, and learning about the world around them. We got to take part in story time and the children participated in a yoga lesson while the book was being read. Will definitely be taking our grandson back.

I’ve never been to the children’s museum or was aware that there was nearby in downtown Tampa. Best parking is the garage next door, William Poe Parking. They charge via app or by your license plate. Parking was tight and full even though we arrived 10 minutes before opening. It’s also parking for the art museum next door and the library. I would advise to come early for a good parking spot. Upon entrance, you’ll notice the self serve food area and the first attraction is the water play area. There’s also a climbing area but the steps were too steep for small children so we passed. Second floor had the stores, farms, and all you can think of. Third floor was closed so we didn’t get to see the other attractions that were there. I don’t know if it’s always been that way or if they’re remodeling but it was off limits. It was very busy, even going as they opened up but it was fun and there was plenty to do. I would definitely go again!

The glazer children's museum is a wonderful place for kids to play and use their imagination. I would recommend coming here for the whole day but it gets boring for adults pretty easily I wish they had more snack options for adults and maybe have a adult hang out area were adults can just sit. Not enough benches. Some areas were closed notvaure what that was about. Highly recommended for kids

My son had a very fun time here.. visited because of Blippi's videos. Plenty to do to keep your little ones excited. It was jam pack when we visited though with 5 school bus field trips fill of kids. We went back later in the afternoon when all the bus left and it was a much better experience.

Had an awesome time! Our son is 2 and there was plenty for him to do. A water play section where you can play with boats on the bottom floor and a huge pretend store, fire truck, play area on the second floor. The staff is very nice and the place felt clean and safe to let him run around and play. I do not know when all it happens, but when we were there a bunch of activities and food trucks were outside as well. It made it extra fun for all of us and we had a great time all around. PLEASE NOTE: The actual doors to the building can be overlooked pretty easy. They are not open or marked or anything. If you are standing on the sidewalk facing the building though, the doors are on the left side of the building halfway down.

Interactive fun for the whole family- This place is absolutely amazing! My family and I have gone to about 5 exhibits already within the last 2 years. It's aimed for young children and fun for the whole family. Both my four-year-old and two-year-old (as well as my husband) look forward to our adventures at Glaziers. They also participate in the "Museum's for All" program and have teacher discounts. This leaves for plenty of opportunity to attend no matter what your price range is.

Took my 18 month old son and he had a blast! I love the farm, farmers market, Publix, Vet, Doctors office, Piano... the list goes on. They had hand sanitizer at each area so you could sanitize your child’s hands as well as your own. Definitely one of the best children’s museums I’ve been to in terms of offering plenty of fun & interactive things for them to do. Overall great day at the Glazer Children’s Museum.

Took my 2 littles (4 & 6) for the first time on 02/06/2024. We all had a blast! My dino loving 6yr old was psyched about seeing Big John. His favorite part of his whole day was touching the skull! My 4yr old was in heaven having free range to play with all the things. His favorite part was the Publix grocery store play area. There's so much to do, that we were there for 3 hours & still didn't do everything! Can't wait to go back!

I went with my family and my coworker's family on a Wednesday afternoon. It was a little crowded due to summer children's groups out but otherwise it was nice. My 2 year old fell in love with the water area and didn't want to leave! I also thought that it was convenient that they had a nursing room there! My newborn was not dealing well with the noises but the room helped him feed in comfort. The Big John exhibit was pretty cool. It was a sight to see while there! I love how it has interactive activities to encourage the young mind to think and explore. I would definitely recommend for younger kids who want to learn how the world works. I also loved the Publix supermarket area and all the little dress up things they had there too!

Awesome, fun day for my grandchildren ages 3,5 & 7. The climbing structure was the absolute favorite. Second came the building areas. The youngest loved the grocery store. The water area was a little weak because it had non-floating boats and a weak current. It takes up a lot of area and has a ton of potential. (For an example, look at the water area of the Portland, Maine Children's Museum. My granddaughter loved the craft area and interacting with staff member, Bri, who was very good with her. $18 each to enter, adults and kids. We were there for 5.5 hours.

Some exhibits/activities were a little roughed up as you can imagine with thousands of kid visitors per day, but overall a ton of fun and safe for the kiddos (2 and 5)… lots of different topics for activities and learning.

Absolutely wonderful experience for my almost 3 year old granddaughter. Engaging activities and easy to identify which ones were age appropriate. Unfortunately there were THREE county summer programs the morning we visited. The summer program staff (not Glazer personnel) were not supervising know kids and there were multiple safety issues. I brought the issues to the attention of Glazer staff and they attempted to work with summer program staff (all independent of Glazer). I also asked for the names of the programs (all County programs) and have emailed those programs. Our experience would have been 5 stars if not for the summer program issues. I suggest calling Glazer in advance and evaluate if you want to visit on a day there are multiple summer programs.

It's a museum but more like a large play zone, with alot of different activities. But the noise factor is too much when you have a bunch of kids. It says for ages 0-10, not alot for the toddlers, the noise is a factor for them. It was an experience I'm glad we did

This review is based on our experience during a visit. We’ve been to other Children’s Museums across the country, and decided to pay a visit to Glazer while in the Tampa area. I think is still a great place to go with kids. However, pick the right time. Our fault was visiting it during the Holiday season close to lunch time. It was packed! Super hard for children to play with a jamming place. On top of that, it felt overstimulating, especially for the little ones who have a hard time to focus on activities. The museum has two floors, accessible via stairs and elevators. There’s water activities, so bring a pair of extra tops and bottoms along. If you plan on staying for lunch, there’s a small cafeteria on the ground floor. Drivers, park your car at the public parking lot on the edge of the museum with a maximum of three hours per parking.

We visited for the first time and used EBT for a discounted price. There is three levels I think, filled with different themes of play and discovery. I came with my 5 and 12 year old. Perfect for young children. The dinosaur advertised as ‘Big John’ was a little disappointing. It’s cool, but for how much they emphasize it, the floor where it’s located was loud and underwhelming. Overall it’s a great spot to visit. Check the website for discounts and free days!

We came on a Monday during June. It seems like THE place to go for Summer kids camps, so be prepared for crowds of relatively ordered chaos, and it worked well for our 5 y/o's. I don't know that I'd bring much older kids here. Pros: TONS of hands-on play spaces encouraging both open ended and progress related play. STEM, Arts, Crafts, & Agriculture. Outside, there are two fountains kids can play in (you run through them) and a large park adjacent to the museum and the canal to picnic or run in as well. Cons: gosh it was loud. They don't have a designated "quiet zone" yet, so we went up to the third level and took a break on a couch in the museum office.

Good for toddlers and kids up to age 10-11 in my opinion. We spent 3 hours there and then headed to a pizza place to eat, the went to the splash pad and played a bit. It was a good day.

  • 4/5 Hallie G. 1 year ago on Google
The kids had a great time! Pack clothes to play in the fountains outside. My only critique would be that the place could use more staff to oversee the exhibits; replenish toys, interact with the kids, facilitate, etc. It was VERY busy, and crowded-- so I'd avoid Saturdays ;) Lots of restaurants to walk to nearby, as well.

Great place for the little one to explore and burn through some of that endless energy. Lots of themed play areas and activities that leave the kids crying that they don't want to leave.

We had a good time at this museum. My little guy really enjoyed the first floor with all of the water fun. Upstairs he enjoyed the various exhibits including the miniature Publix and the fire station. I feel like kids up to 10 would like this place. I’ve come as a paid patron and also on the free first Tuesday of the month. If you don’t like crowds, I suggest not coming as a free guest.
