Stayed
one
night
for
a
Duran
Duran
concert
at
the
Amalie
Arena.
This
location
is
perfect.
You
can
access
the
JW
Marriott
across
the
street
via
the
bridge
that
connects
the
two
hotels.
This
comes
in
handy
if
it's
raining
and
you're
trying
to
get
to
your
room
from
the
restaurants
across
the
street.
Three
things
we
frowned
about,
but
it
didn't
ruin
our
overall
experience.
First,
they
gave
us
a
room
closest
to
the
elevator.
It
wasn't
horrible,
but
would
have
preferred
a
room
further
away.
We
did
not
request
a
room
near
the
elevator,
so
not
sure
why
we
were
assigned
one.
Second,
make
a
reservation
at
the
Anchor
and
Brine.
We
didn't
have
reservations
and
the
wait
time
for
two
people
was
about
an
hour.
The
bar
was
packed
and
it
didn't
look
like
anyone
was
in
a
hurry
to
leave.
I
asked
an
employee
at
the
restaurant
if
the
hotel
does
room
service.
She
said
she
didn't
know,
but
believed
they
didn't.
Well,
they
do!
So
we
ordered
room
service
and
got
our
food
in
about
30
minutes.
Lastly,
they
valet
your
car.
We
read
other
reviews
that
it
takes
about
an
hour
for
them
to
retrieve
your
car
and
yes,
we
waited
about
an
hour.
So
we
requested
our
car
while
we
packed
up.
30
minutes
later,
we
went
to
Starbucks,
got
breakfast,
ate,
then
went
outside
to
wait
for
our
car.
The
timing
worked
out
well.
Overall,
this
is
a
great
place
to
stay
if
you're
going
to
an
event
at
the
Amalie.
Walk
down
about
half
a
mile
to
other
restaurants
and
bars
and
to
the
aquarium.
We
would
stay
here
again.
