Hotel is good location if you're needing to be by the airport but a bit run down. Smelled of mold and visible mold in the lobby (and air ducts). Hallways were extremely warm and AC in room could not keep up. Faucet in room was also loose, to the point of falling over. Only stayed one night and four times within an hour, housekeeping knocked on the door, tried to enter the room, and called the room asking when we were leaving. This was all after they tried to enter at 9am (without knocking) and we told them we had already gotten late check out (noon). Obviously we felt rushed out. Additionally, breakfast was supposed to be included in our reservation but we were told it was not. We were also double charged for parking (once on room bill and again at the pay station). Pool was nice with view of the bay but unfortunately industrial exhaust fans blow right next to the cafe/pool so it's extremely loud. Made it impossible to enjoy the pool/bar/view. Only bright spot was that check in process was easy. Absolutely would not return.

Choice this location despite the many negative reviews, hoping that they ( reviewers) were somehow in the older section of the hotel and just had a bad experience. It would only be for 1 night before moving downtown to the Embassy Suites. Driving up, you can quickly see that there is nothing near the hotel as far as restaurants or activity. It looks like you're driving through an office park. Upon driving further you can see that the location is beautifully situated on the river. That's where the good stuff ends. This hotel looks dated from the exterior, and it gets worse once you enter. The lobby area is sad, dirty and dated. The desk clerk seemed to be put out by me checking in. There was no line whatsoever. But she appeared to change her tune after finding out that I was a Hilton diamond member. She immediately upgraded us to a room with a sunset view. I felt hopeful that my wife would somehow be okay with my hotel pick. I should have stopped here because the lobby had that old smell to it. After getting the luggage and heading inside to our room, I could see the sour look on her face. After getting into a dirty elevator, the look got worse. Upon reaching our floor we were greeted by a dark hallway and dingy carpeting. We had to weave our way around the two housekeeping carts to get to our door..mind you..this is probably 6pm. Upon getting inside the room, we immediately knew we couldn't stay. It was dark, old, dated and smelled musty. We didn't touch anything and immediately went down stairs to checkout and request our Hilton points back. It took us an hour or two to find somewhere to lay our heads that night. We ended up at a very nice Marriott property a few miles away. No issues thankfully.

Front desk and housekeeping ONLY-were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy-pool was nice-beautiful view. Now the reason for 2 stars-pool bar service were complete losers. Didnā€™t know to make a simple margarita! Not quick to serve and huge worthless attitude. Any shift-any day. Drinks were way overpriced. Cafe breakfast was par however-the staff was marginal at best. I spilled orange juice all over the table and floor accidentally-and I was the one who cleaned it up after three attempts to get staff help -then he finally came out with a dry hand towel and lightly brushed over the floor-the sticky table got nothing!! Lunch n dinner menu was marginal and the food was horrible with ā€œcanā€™t be botheredā€ service. A complete joke for a restaurant. The room-beds uncomfortable and the noise of the a/c was extremely loud. The carpet was soaking wet in one corner: the solution was to bring a giant fan? That sounded like we were in an airport hanger cranking up a jet engine. Why they couldnā€™t have moved us is beyond me. The soap in the packaged supplies was like a plastic disc that never lathered up -I wasnā€™t sure if I was getting soap or not when I washed my hands.

The good first. Nice views and pool. Great fitness room. Pretty lobby, warm cookies upon check-in. Decent location with short ride to restaurants and airport. The not so good. Very over priced room that was renovated and updated but with a toilet that is loud and takes a long time to fill, tub that doesnā€™t drain (so youā€™re standing in 6-8 inches of water), door that wouldnā€™t lock without slamming it. I did tell maintenance of the issues upon checkout, so hopefully they will be addressed before next person stays there. Other reviewers mentioned some of these same things. Maybe itā€™s just the age of the building. Parking is $18 per night which is pretty steep considering itā€™s not a resort. None of the issues were bad enough for me to complain or want to change hotels like others. Pillows and mattress were pretty good. Getting a good nightā€™s sleep is most important to me when Iā€™m staying in a hotel.

To be honest, the visit to your property was a disaster from the moment we arrived. We had requested 3 rooms during our stay. Only 1 of the rooms was ready when our party arrived. Apparently, a guest had not vacated their room and outright refused to leave their room. Not a huge issue, but inconvenient and not what we were anticipating. Now onto the rooms and their condition. The room that was "ready" for us had no towels, no shampoo, 1 bar of soap, and a set of dirty glasses next to the coffee maker. After a call to the front desk, we received 2 towels and a single shampoo container. Understand not wanting to overstock rooms, but rationing items for a room with three people in it seems petulant. Asked a second time for more towels and received 2 more towels. All weekend we were having to call the front desk to obtain new towels, toiletries, and/or tissues. The cleaning staff were non-existent and to my knowledge, had not entered our room the entire time. While I understand we were not the only guests there, and that the hotel does quite a bit of business with the airline industry, the parking of the hotel shuttles in front of the doorway ALL THE TIME is ridiculous. We experienced no less than a 10 minute wait for the shuttle driver to move his vehicle so that we could get someone in a wheel chair up to the front door. Never mind trying to negotiate the small circle driveway with the parked shuttles clogging the lanes preventing anyone from driving up to the doorway, driving up to the parking lot gate was hampered by a shuttle that was continuously parked right at the edge of the gate arm. Needless to say, this was the biggest annoyance of the weekend as we were using your property for a central location to our events in Tampa. Lastly on the driveway issue, while it would seem that the proper travel pathway would be to enter on the right, circle around the driveway, and exit on the left (Counterclockwise) as nearly 99.9% of guest did, one of your drivers took it upon himself to attempt to traverse the driveway in the opposite direction (Clockwise). He even waited on two vehicles that were trying to get to the front door and check in to back up out of his way so that he could go to wherever he was going. It would seem that someone who has been trusted with a company vehicle would be aware of the hazards of driving in the wrong direction and the potential issues surrounding that. Finally, the night before checkout we had asked for a late checkout (an hour extra, so 12pm). The person we had spoken to at the desk told us that would not be a problem. However, if we stayed beyond that we would be ā€œbilledā€ at $25/hour. The next morning (at 8:45am), one of the cleaning staff (who hadnā€™t been in our room from the time we arrived) decided to just open the door to our room. My wife had to announce rather loudly to the person that we were still in the room and they closed the door. At 10:30, the same housekeeper attempted to enter the room again, to which my son had to announce that we were still in the room. At this time, we were told that ā€œcheckout was at 11amā€ by the housekeeper. My wife went to speak to the front desk about the extra hour that we had agreed upon. The Guest Services representative informed her that no such agreement would be honored and that whoever told her this did not understand her request and misspoke. When she asked to speak to the manager, she was told that the manager was not there and that she was the only person to discuss matters with at this time. I find it ironic that when we arrived (4:30pm on Thursday) we were told that one of our rooms was not ready due to it being occupied by someone. However, when we were proactive and asked for an additional hour for late checkout we were treated rudely and unprofessional. I am a Hilton Honors member and always choose Hilton properties when I travel. Based on this experience, I would have to seriously consider whether or not to continue using your properties (specifically Double Tree) as it really was an undesirable place to stay.

i accidentally booked a hotel room for the evening before our actual stay on accident while my daughter was in an emergency surgery. the following day we came to check and weā€™re informed we accidentally booked it for the day prior so we asked if there was any we could drop the charge since we would be staying and buying another room for this evening and we never checked in yesterday. the man at the front desk was incredibly rude about the whole situation. then when asked to speak to the manager he said ā€œ i am the managerā€ so then we proceeded to our room because he was not willing to help us in any way or form. on the way to our room we noticed all of the walls were filthy. looked like someone spilled something all over every single wall. entering our room it smelled terrible and had a gigantic stain on the carpet. very disappointed in this place. we are dedicated Hilton honor members and we will not be returning. will also consider canceling our membership.

Just stayed in this hotel and had a great experience. The location is great, right on the water and 7 minutes from the hotel to Tampa airport rental car return (really helpful when you have an early flight and don't want to spend much time getting to the airport). When I checked in, Rubin was very nice and was able to get me into a room with an amazing view (although I'm sure all of the rooms have great views, the bay views really are nice though), really grateful for that though. The room was spacious, stayed cool, and most importantly was extremely quiet. The elevators were smooth and quick, hotel was clean, pool was nice. Overall, this hotel was great and if traveling to the Tampa area, especially flying through Tampa airport, I highly recommend staying here.

I don't see how this hotel has such high ratings. My room was so hot and wouldn't cool off, even with the ac on 65Ā°. There was a two inch gap at the bottom of the door to my room. The hallway was so hot, and all that hot air traveled freely into my room. The beds were horrible and the pillows felt like paper bags. My comforter was stained yellow from so much use. Upon checkout I noticed BLACK MOLD on an old vent. Disgusting. The restaurant was subpar. The ceiling was dripping all over the bar area and there were a group of fruit flies by the bar, by the long for water and drinks . The pool was left a mess from the night before well into the morning. Just an awful stay. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

Great service, I was immediately upgraded with Hilton honors to a King suite with an amazing view! First time I have stayed somewhere since Covid and have had an outstanding experience. For a ā€œ3-starā€ hotel it definitely acts like a 4.5 star, very clean comfortable and easy all around. I do wish they had in room dining, that would be my only request! Loved it and if I come back to the area Iā€™ll definitely stay again. šŸ’•

Room not cleaned for 3 days when we requested it. So no towels,no coffee to be made. Front desk not much help. Restaurant over-priced food and not enough help. Pool large, but too many bugs and leaves in there. Without a car, no place to eat near by. Mass chaos and rules of this hotel changes frequently. Nice view of the bay, though.

So - So Here for a two day business meeting and had some good and some bad. Good - I was accommodated for a very early check-in which was great. I had an early flight and got to the hotel 5 hours before check-in. Lunches were good a most of the staff friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Bad - The air conditioning was SO LOUD that it would disrupt sleep. It was however very capable of chilling down the room. Torn shower curtain. One bartender was very unfriendly. Our meeting room had broken A/C and we had to be moved. Read the other reviews and see if you want to give it a shot.

I will say I am a little disappointed over the last couple of years with DoubleTree hotels. It used to be my favorite but as a whole they have fallen out of my list. The staff is great. Very professional and personable. Quick check in and helpful. However, once I got in the room, it instantly smelled wet. The humidity just hits you. At one point I had the AC on and then left my room for a couple hours. When I came back the switch was flipped from Cool to Heat. I canā€™t prove anything because nothing was moved or taken, but it was very weird. The bed was comfy, but there were small stains on a couple pillows. There was hair on the bed. So it felt very gross to sleep on it. The furniture was outdated, but I will say the TV was very nice. A very quick responsive TV so thereā€™s no waiting after every button press. In my bathroom the only thing I would complain about is the not so hot water and the tub is very slow to drain. I felt as if after my shower I could just lay in the tub and the water would be at bath height. Also the attached picture Iā€™m assuming is water damage. But you can clearly see that just sitting on the toilet underneath the sink. Overall, Iā€™d probably not recommend it here. If they poured as much money into the rooms as they did with the lobby then it might be better.

Upon entering the hotel, I heard my family member honking her horn behind me, as she had just dropped us off. When I turned around I noticed that the hotel transporter had almost backed into her car, several times. Which resulted in a lot of rude comments Upon check in, I did not feel we received a warm welcome. Our room although some aspects were updated with newer furniture, weā€™re in need of maintenance. After calling the front desk to let them know, I did not receive an apology or anything, the front desk clerk just said ā€œ we will have someone fix it when you leaveā€ I felt for the price of the hotelā€¦ the service was lacking. Although I have stayed at other locations and had a way better experience then this location The pool and restaurant is nice and has a great view. That is the only positive comment I can make. I never complain but I really felt this needed to be shared

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend for a dance competition we had over 20 kids with us and this hotel had absolutely nothing for kids to do. On check out day we found that at least 5 of us were charged an extra $225.87 to our cards. Some went to the front desk because the charges showed up instantly on their card others had to call because the charges showed up later in the day after we had left. But we were all told the same thing that they don't know what the charges were for. they were even charged my spouse's card and it wasn't even used to pay for the room. So while on the phone with customer support we find out that they have a completely different email than the one used at registration. ATP I'm starting to believe this place has a thief working in their organization and is trying to steal money from guest. I will never stay in one of their hotels again. The breakfast was pure trash especially at $18 per person. I didn't get my cookies when I arrived and I almost forgot that we found bed bugs in 1 out of our 20 rooms. The location is not good for tourists.

I checked into a room on Saturday a little after 4 pm. Upon settling in the room, I noticed a wet spot on the carpet before the entrance to the bathroom. I threw a towel over the wet spot and this towel ruined some nice photos I took with my girlfriend as we got ready for a concert. The toilet drained and filled constantly indicating there was a general lack of care for the condition of the rooms. The air conditioning incessantly clicked on and off as to almost compliment the noisy toilet.

When we arrived here the service was not the greatest and when we got into our room the first thing we noticed was blood staining on the bathroom wall and ceiling and the toilet didnā€™t flush. We pulled out our couch bed to see mold covering the wall and the bottom of the bed: The smell was absolutely horrible and there is no way someone could have missed this if the room was being properly cleaned. The shower drain had clearly not been cleaned recently as there was tons of product buildup causing the water to not drain for hours. We have been very dissatisfied with our stay, We urge other customers to check their rooms for mold in the couch and kitchen area.

I spend a lot of time at this hotel. A week at a time. So as one would assume I bring my water, sodas, and even my scotch. Well, I poured myself a drink and went down to the restaurant. I had finished eating my meal and the bartender told me it was ā€œillegalā€ for me to be bringing down my drink to the restaurant. He told me I had to drink it quickly. I asked him if they had any cork fees, and he said no they did not. Frankly, I am not sure if he even knew what that meant. I was a little annoyed since I had been to this hotel four times before and this had never happened. I ask the front desk to speak to a manager. I was told one was not available but one would call my room. The finally called my room. She identifies herself as Sally she said that indeed I was not allowed to bring my drinks from my room. I proceeded the ask her if the same applied to me making my coffee in my room and taking it downstairs and she said that was not allowed. I asked if I could drink my scotch or coffee in the lobby and was told I could not. First, is there a law? I have no idea, but the fact I am spending an entire week at a hotel, where I bring my products and be told I cannot consume them on the property is silly and somewhat not very customer friendly. Needless to say, this will be the last time I spend my week-long stay here. As far as I am concerned, Hilton is no longer a property I will use.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, TV was awesome, and the view was fantastic! Also, inside the hotel was well decorated and very comfortable. The swimming pool area was beautiful, and the firepits and sitting areas was well done. Only thing was that we did not receive or offered a cookie at any time. Not sure if we were supposed to ask, but there were no signs seen. Also, the person checking us in appeared sick, which may have contributed to us not feeling welcome. Other than that, it was an outstanding experience!! Thanks!!

This was an amazing experience!! Rubin at the front desk went above and beyond which I truly admire working in this industry. The whole staff here from the restaurant to housekeeping was so friendly. Debra, Michael, Will, and Sandy went above and beyond and serve some good food. Our room had the BEST view of Tampa Bay and the pool. The room that Rubin upgraded us to had so much space for our family! Next time we are in Tampa, I know where Iā€™m staying!! We will be back to see my friend Rubin!

Wow!! This location is so perfect. Close to airport and Bucs stadium. Beautiful water surrounds the property. A wonderful park next door for a peaceful walk. Great bar on the bay beach across the street! We will come back!!

The walking path is nice. Not many food choices around the hotel. The food at the hotel was not very good. Mahi sandwich was overcooked and no flavor. Nothing. Dry. I asked for side of cooked veggies. It was steamed with no seasoning, no sauce. Just really bland. I expected sautƩ or something. Surprisingly lacking. I was there on Monday.

Good hotel on waterfront. Views are great. Rooms can use some love as I had some cosmetic issues but was still manageable. When I entered my room it had a stale smell to it. I travel with candles for that reason. Staff is great on site restaurant is convenient. The lake nearby on the property has a business to rent jet ski's as well.

It was unfortunate I had to give this 3 out of 5 stars. Location and view is great. Unfortunately the lids on the to go coffee cups don't fit. I burned my hands. Told the front desk and even spilled on the floor there. I cleaned that up myself. Food was terrible in their bluefin restaurant. I got the salmon. It was slimey and the vegetables had no seasoning...that's all I got and the bill was $50. I had no drink. There was hair and mold in the shower. I had to go to the front desk twice about having no conditioner before someone refilled it. I had to call 3 times to actually get the right folio sent. They kept sending me the Gatorade receipt I got from the little market there when I asked for the room and tax folio. At check in, the front desk agent didn't give me back the dates I was staying, verify my info, nothing. I have a hospitality business degree and that is not the proper procedure or etiquette when checking someone in. Pool was nice though and the views are great. I have to come down for business one week out of the month and was really hoping this was going to be my hotel. Think I'll stick with the Marriott moving forward.

The check-in was nice and all, but while staying in the room, there was a big cockroach walking around in the room that we stayed in. When we brought this up to the front desk with video evidence that I took myself, they did not even apologize for the inconvenience. Rather, all they said was ā€œthis was normalā€ as the hotel is near the water. Working in the customer service industry, I believe that this is an unacceptable response given cockroaches are a sign of uncleanliness and are unpleasant in the sight of lodging and food.

Overall a very nice hotel, clean & comfortable adjacent to the bay so you may get a nice view. The doors slam super loudly waking you up at nights. They charge $19 bucks just to park on top of your room. Driving in there's a big sign that reads park at your own risk. What the heck? Really?

  • 1/5 Cheryl P. 7 months ago on Google
I would not recommend this hotel. Other than the pool area being nice the rooms are filthy. We checked into a room where the bedding was never changed. Our room was then changed to another room that was also dirty with stained curtains and was not stocked with linens to take a shower or even bags in the garbage. Do not be fooled by the online photos and choose another hotel that is clean for your family.

Nice hotel great location. The staff is helping for the most part. The tub in my room did not drain properly. My biggest issue is they charged me an extra $400 dollars after I already checked in and paid for my stay. I havenā€™t changed any incidentals to my room. The front desk manager cannot tell me why and the audit office is closed until Monday. This is inconvenience and potentially fraudulent activity. Iā€™ll stay at the Westin or Hyatt Grand time. Very disappointed

Third time staying here and each stay was disappointed with lack of attention to details. Twice my room key did not work on checkin. Apparently this is a known issue but not fixed. Printer in lobby never has ink in it. Front desk staff indifferent at best. Bartender in restaurant friendly and helpful. When not required to stay here for business I go elsewhere.

Amazing location, rooms were clean but could be renovated soon. Only a few staff members were helpful, look for Rubin and the front desk and George at the bar, they are the best. The girls at the front desk have a negative attitude and got mad when I asked if they had a water bottle filling station and also just general questions about local attractions. For the price itā€™s a fine place to stay.

This is a great location to really enjoy the views Tampa offers. Bring greeted by Veronica and Debra made the stay here easy. They were very helpful in answering questions and resolving problems with the room. Sandy is the breakfast supervisor and ensures everything is where it belongs, making it easier to get a warm meal in your belly to start off the day. Nights are a great place to kick back by the pool overlooking the water. We were able to catch glimpses of dolphins swimming near the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for families with a vehicle. There's a lot to do and see!

First impressions pulling up to a large waterfront hotel were high. Work scheduled my stay, so I arrived relatively blind. The entry straight into a paid lot is jaring, but thats quickly overcome by a large, spacious and modern lobby. Unfortunately, it went downhill again from there. The 7:00 pm night crew was about as friendly as a wet cat, highlighted by the moment the man swiped my card for me without even telling me what the charge was. When pressed for some detail first, he proceeded to tell me to worry about it on checkout. Charming. No direction of where the room or elevator was. Just key and concluded conversation that I could pick up with someone else hours later. (The reviews here about bad staff attitudes are SPOT on) Anyhow. The 6th floor sounded nice so I let it roll off, at least until the elevator doors opened to peeling wallpaper, water stains, and dark hallways. Seriously, it was a bad look that had me checking everything. The room at this point - much to my surprise - wasn't bad, though I was more annoyed by curtains that didn't want to stay closed and an awkwardly flat and puddling shower than I really should have been. (Other reviews note these, the shower in particular, as well.) Oh. You'll be charged for local calls on the hotel phone, too. Am I using the phone? No. Never. It's 2023. But it's weird and I don't like it. No breakfast, and they seem annoyed if you ask. Hostess also had personality of a 15 year old teenage girl who was just interrupted from a phone call. Because I wasnt on some list, she suggested the $20 buffet of, you guessed it, muffins and fruit, at which point I started writing this. To complete my stay, the two much friendlier gentlemen at the desk took my room key. Upon a brief FYI of the experience, they discovered the hotel hadn't removed several fees they should have - namely parking. That's right: on top of all that, the check in guy that didn't want to give me a receipt until checkout had overcharged me. I came in expecting a Hilton. Or at least a holiday in. This is at best a sketchily run motel 6 without evidence of roaches. Though honestly I think they just dress them up as staff and employ them. Avoid.

The hotel is not the very modern and also the interior is outdated. Rather dark and non-welcoming. The location is nice. There are some bars around you can walk to and it is super close to the airport. the personal is friendly and supportive. Price for value is acceptable

I purchased this room through Priceline. After my flight was cancelled I contacted the hotel to inform them I would not be able to use this trip and asked for a cancellation and refund. This hotel refused to cancel and refused to refund - they stated it was in the policy. Nice way of saying "you aren't important". I will not ever use Priceline services again, nor will I stay at any Hilton again.

I donā€™t even know where to begin to thank Paul and Mark for everything they did! We had our venue cancel on us and we had to find a last minute venue. When I say Paul and Mark (F&an Managers ) where a God send, they were amazing! Every little thing I needed they were there. I will absolutely be using this space again just because of them too and their Superb customer service! So amazing to have people care about you and your guest. Thank you Paul and Mark! Loved this hotel. The staff is so cordial, the bar is cool & laid back, and the location is ideal. Love the pool and the river that flows behind it..where you can catch dolphin sightings daily. Front desk staff and the shuttle drivers (Claude and Paul) are.so welcoming, friendly and extremely hospitable. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a few days to attend a wedding in the area. Nice room. Patio and pool area are very nice. We felt very safe and secure. Staff is professional, attentive, and friendly. Kinda pricey, but nice location.

Service and cleanliness are things to be desired at this Doubletree. Over 30 rooms were booked (many for 3-4 nights) for a wedding over this last weekend. Many of the party were forced to check out of their rooms mid-stay, wait until check-in time, and check into a new room. This wasnā€™t a last minute add on for anyone in the party, as this has been planned for a very long time. Personally I can attest that the first room I was placed in had air vents covered in mold, and the second smelled extremely strongly of mildew as well as having a tub that didnā€™t drain. The housekeeping service also decided that just past 8am is appropriate to come knock on your door, leave to knock on others, and make you yell down the hallway to see what they wanted. There is zero communication between the front desk staff and housekeeping staff, and that means if you stay here youā€™ll get an extremely unapologetic wake up call at 8am even if you never asked for it. I am currently still waiting on a call back from some kind of manager or supervisor to talk about any of these issues, and itā€™s starting to seem like I will never be contacted. Which is concerning considering I am still checked into the hotel, as the front desk attendant at check out said he would leave me checked in so a manager could assist with the charges for the room at least the final night since we couldnā€™t even take a clean shower. Save yourself the grief and stay anywhere else but here.

Really beautiful hotel. My AC unit in my room sounded like a rocket ship was taking off everytime it turned on but other than that it was a great stay. Love that it's right on the water

We stayed here for a wedding. Positive: Place is clean, spacious rooms, they have a bar / restaurant where you can have some drinks and food. Not bad. Negative: I shouldā€™ve taken pictures but was preoccupied with other things, but although the room was clean, things were old. Hair dryer was falling apart, I thought it was going to spark on me. The comforter was so old that most of the stuffing was on the sides and you could feel itā€¦ it was annoying. Bathroom smell musty and you can hear when the room next door flushed their toilet or turn on their shower. I would not stay there again.

I would have given this place 5 āļø But the parking was messed up! We had to buzz in to lift the gate each time we entered or left the parking lot. However, the staff was very friendly and professional. Our key wasnā€™t activated properly when we first arrived and when we went downstairs to report it, we were escorted back up with the activated key to confirm it was working properly. Attached are pictures of our room. We were pleased with our unit. I would stay here at this location again. They have a pool, a restaurant and little snack shop on the premises. Very clean and peaceful.

Very nice entry and pool area. Rooms have been renovated and updated quite nicely. Jay at the front desk was excellent, we informed him our room was having problem with air conditioning he promptly found us a comparable if not better substitute. Cookies are always nice and such a beautiful view.

The overall experience with hotel was good. You could see that it is an old hotel with recent renovation. Due to recent storm the room had water stain on the ceiling, and that's why room are rated 4/5. Breakfast experience was good, for about 19$ per person. It has regular breakfast food with good quality. Location is in the middle of everything attraction wise. Everything is about 30 minutes out, which isn't bad for a big city.

Great place! Went for business trip with my group. Great location. Nice rooms. We were there during Hurricane Nicole. Was a bit scary but all ended well. The staff was extremely accommodating during our two day meetings. Nice meeting rooms too!

Loved the hotel itself. No shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Pool is great. Room was great. The reception was not great but I still really liked this hotel

Great hotel right on the water. I have stayed here roughly 10 times and itā€™s because nit only is it perfectly located for me and business but everything is super nice, the staff is great and the views are really good. For me itā€™s so nice to come here after working the area and to just sit on the patio and stare off at the water. If your coming to the Tampa Bay Area I highly recommend this hotel.

We only stayed for one night and unfortunately the weather wasnā€™t the greatest. So we only got to enjoy the pool for maybe 5 minutes. But it was a great view and a nice sitting area. The downstairs restaurant was also nice and super convenient. We only had lunch and a few drinks. Itā€™s a little pricey though. The rooms are somewhat renovated but the carpet needs to be replaced and the ac is very loud and if you want it cold it kicks on and off all night. But it worked out for a quick trip to visit family. And the staff was great!

Old hotel in need of refreshing. Service was good at check-in, dinner and breakfast the next morning. Rooms were clean, but old and dated. Good location and very convenient for trip to airport.

Very convenient to airport yet feels like you're on your private island! Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Good food at restaurant. Nice outdoor seating area. Make sure to get a room with a bay view!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this property!!!! While itā€™s probably time for some internal renovations- such as the bar of BluFin Waterfront Grille, and the maybe some fresh paint and flooring in the rooms-the service and overall experience youā€™ll have here will KEEP YOU COMING BACK!!! The front desk staff are all very sweet and awesome; however, RUBIN is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! We stay here yearly, if not twice a year, and when we arrived this time, on a Friday night, the desk was busy, busy, busy!! The hotel is the number one choice for Delta, American, and Southwest Crew Members, so a group of them had arrived to the hotel. Thereā€™s a nicely stocked snack bar beside the front desk, so there was a couple of people waiting to purchase their goods (even though thereā€™s a SELF-Checkout- they didnā€™t know this, at that time), there was the Shuttle Driver on the phone expressing how he couldnā€™t find one of the guests that he was looking to pick up from the airport, and then there was ME and RUBIN!! Rubin was working this desk, single-handedly, like a PRO! He was helping me, answering the questions of the ā€œsnack purchasers,ā€ making sure the flight attendants and pilots were getting signed in for their pre-made room keys, AND trying to guide and calm the Shuttle Driver, on the phone!! Rubin was POISED, FRIENDLY, PERSONABLE, and ATTENTIVE to EVERYONE in one way or another, and it was QUITE impressive!!! He was PATIENT and stayed really calm, and again poised, throughout each touch point with each of us at that desk AND the driver on the phone!!! Heā€™s been so accommodating our ENTIRE stay!!! He goes above and beyond to make sure we and the other guests are taking care of, and I am IMPRESSED by that and appreciative!! I want his management AND future guests to know that RUBIN is here, and while the hotel is AWESOME, his SERVICE will ASSURE you will be TRULY ACCOMMODATED!!!!

Stunning location, stunning service, amazing food and their staff are top notch. They really care. I recently visited the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Rocky Point Waterfront property part of a hospitality event and they really set the stage of what hospitality is all about. Even people with decades of experience in hospitality in the group were impressed with the food and service. I would like to thank Brian C. and his team on behalf of Skal for the amazing event at your venue. Keep up the good work!

Great experience and the rooms on the first floor offer patios that lead straight out to the pool. Amazing and great accommodations. Also the complimentary hygiene products offered smell amazing.

The room was a bit small for two beds, and the location was in the middle of everything close to the beaches, airport, downtown, and Clearwater. The staff was nice, I didn't appreciate the parking fee, but Alyssa, the front desk supervisor, offered us a free complimentary breakfast for two. I would recommend this hotel.
