No frills hotel rooms. Was pretty noisy from doors slamming shut and kids running in the halls. For one night it was tolerable but barely. There are many other options nearby to try, if you can use this place only if you don't want to spend a lot but know what you're walking in to.

This hotel allows after midnight check ins. A plus. The staff great. The room looks nice and spacious. Beds great. But when I stayed, they had a small roach problem. I killed 4. Had me up most of the night. Would not stay again.

Our room was nice and big with plenty of space and tall ceilings. The beds were comfortable. The ac was cold. The coffee maker was in the bathroom which was weird because there's a wet bar in the room too but the wet bar looked new and didn't have outlets. The breakfast was served from 7:30 to 9:30. You have a selection of pastries, cereals, bagel and breads, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeals and waffles. It was decent for a free breakfast but not good enough for it to be your only reason to book here. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I got there, the room wasn't ready as they were full the night before so they let us check our bags so we could do whatever we had to. Location is a little to be desired but overall, it was a nice stay.

The rooms were very clean as well as the lobby and eating areas. The rooms had high ceilings, nice beds and crisp sheets. The TV's were adequate. The employees were very helpful and accommodating during our hurricane evacuation. The hotel had a nice pool, a nice workout area, and a small but very clean laundry area. The breakfast however rivaled any hotel we've ever been to. It was super clean, constantly attended to, and had a great variety of juice, fruits, breads, eggs and sausage, and two waffle makers that everyone enjoyed making their own waffles with. Coffee was good and available all day. We will definitely return if we have to evaluate again. Well... We are back again and very comfortable. Looking forward to tomorrow's breakfast.

If I could give this place a zero or a negative review I would. It is horrible nothing like the pictures. It said "sitting area" that consisted of a nasty dirty chair in the corner. The temperature at the time was at night in the forties and the room had no heat. When I called the front desk I was told they were doing renovations and didn't have heat. I had to go to the store and purchase a heater to get warm. When I complained I was told I could talk to the manager in the morning. The room is old the carpet is nasty and dirty. This has ruined my time in Florida and will never return to this place.

I'm a Best Western kind of guy. I'm impressed with this one on South Dale Mabry hwy. It is a older hotel BUT the remodeling was done well. The room is very nice and I would be comfortable staying here for long periods of time. Breakfast was plentiful and as good as any other Best Western except that there was no biscuit and gravy. Of course I'm not in South Carolina (Lexington BW). My two concerns is getting out of the parking lot and onto Dale Mabry hwy and the rooms shower. I would say that if your BMI is greater than 30 you might have a problem. Would I come back? I sure would

My room had dirty tissues in one of the drawers. I accidentally left 3 articles of clothing behind hanging in the closet. I was told that they did not want to disturb the new guest and asked me to call the following day. They then said that no clothes were found left behind and that housekeeping goes through each room thoroughly and anything left in the closet or drawers would have been found. That was clearly untrue given what I had found in the drawer.

Your night Auditor, Anthony is absolutely fantastic. Sorry to say that he is so great and was so accommodating that I am going to try to recruit him away to work for one of my hotels. =) everyone here was so great. The morning breakfast was more than sufficient, the rooms were clean, the AC was cold, the location is excellent. I would definitely stay here again!!

Service and the people were nice but they need to work on the cleanest of the rooms. I believe they never vacuum the rooms because since I arrived I found some food or snacks on the carpet and I spent 4 days and they were still there. Disgusting yes. Also the 2nd floor hallways smell very bad.

I had an awesome stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants and attractions. The hotel was updated, quiet, and one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. Thank you for an awesome 2 nights. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Tampa!!!

Absolutely disgusting. Tried 3 different rooms and all were gross. Hair in the bathroom, makeup on towels, urine on toilet dusty, vomit down side of the bed and something gross spilled on the carpet. Food crumbs, popcorn kernels on the floor. Last guests food still in mini fridge. We left and went somewhere else. Front desk employee was very nice. Manager was an absolute jerk. And then when you leave an honest review (on Trip Advisor), Best Western "bans" you from their hotel for "misconduct" Real professional.

Very clean, very spacious, but no coffee pot in the room. (Though there is one in the lobby for coffee and tea and water with lemon.) No views to speak of. It was close to where we were going and had a hot breakfast which was ok. Would come here again. The price was great and the staff real nice!

Got into Tampa earlier than expected with my family after a cruise and booked hotel because of convenience and location to airport. Front desk clerk was extremely friendly. We got to get an early check in with the help of her and a gentlemen (I think he was manager) because even though we got done with a vacation cruise, we were exhausted and needed relaxation before flying home the following day. Thankful for that. Very accommodating and hospitable.

We stayed here before our cruise and after since our cruise got in late and didnt want to drive home at night. The location was great close to ihop was convenient since we walked over plus it is opened 24 hours. The hotel itself is good although we didn't have hot water in our shower on the second time we stood there. Breakfast is good and convenient with many options. The rooms were clean and the price was good for our budget so no complains there. Beds and pillow comfortable. Free parking was also important for us so big points there.

Good place to stay if you are staying for a few days or just one week for a decent price. Location is alright as you can drive to downtown Tampa in just ten minutes, but S Dale Mabry Hwy can get a bit congested and noisy at times. Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Small pool and deck chairs and continental breakfast are what you'd expect. Rooms come with fridge, microwave, television, but no safe. Bathroom was clean except for a few pieces of hair scattered here and there. Beds were tidied up each day and air conditioner left on at a slightly cold temperature. Overall: good stay, good price.

Had an amazing time in Tampa and my room was just as nice. Everything was in its place and clean. The maid was excellent. The desk clerk’s were pleasant and the overnight clerk was very helpful. The pool was absolutely wonderful and breakfast each morning was more than donuts and coffee. Full breakfast. That was a great way to start each day. I recommend Best Western especially in Tampa. You get your money’s worth.

If you look at my photos you will see some areas of concern. Lighting in shower. Air vent; either needs filter or cleaning. Shower head was loose and about came off I tried to tighten didn’t have my tools. Bath tub doesn’t drain correctly/installed wrong. Water left in it over night. Bath tub hot and cold handle installed incorrectly. Bathroom shelf’s both broken. Booger/poop on wall pictured. Outdoor area pictured trash all over place. Air and fridge in room did work.

We recently booked a room and our experience was below average. When we returned to the hotel later in the evening we were unable to park in the hotel lot due to 2 patron cars poorly parked, lack of parking spots and the staff not enforcing 1 car per reservation policy. So we were instructed by the front desk employee to park at the IHOP across the street but we ended up parking on the grass along a public road. We were hoping to bring it to the attention of the hotel GM in the morning but he was not on the hotel premise at the time as he was at Starbucks according to the employee. The staff does not enforce the policies (flyer stating 1 car per room) as we were asked to write down the make and model of our vehicle upon check in but was told patrons were not following policy according to the night shift employee.

Very very posh posh. I felt we were staying a Hilton etc... All the team members were on point. I must give outstanding customer service to Anastasia at the front desk. She always wore a smile she always took care of all our needs that we requested and within a timeframe of 5 minutes or so. That kind of service is unheard-of today. I hope they will promoter within. Anything she is striving to accomplish. Thank Y'all Best Western For highering such a great employee John A Mackey

I cannot express enough how incredible Anastasiia is. Her constant smile and willingness to assist with anything make her the most outstanding front desk representative I have ever come across. Having stayed in various hotels worldwide, I can confidently say that she surpasses them all.

We were here for weekend Family Reuion. We're very close to the venue at cousin's condo and the Bayshore Baptist Church for Sunday. Decent prices and really good continental breakfast. They worked with us for late check out after church service. Good desk managers made it a good stay !

We travel to Tampa twice a year and over the years have stayed at many different hotels. Best Western has been our preferred hotel for price, cleanliness, comfort, friendly front desk personnel and a delicious breakfast. They make traveling a breeze😊

staff was great, rooms and beds small. Way over priced. Could of stayed at a better place for this price. The rooms are very outdated. Would not recommend.

Clean and comfortable. They offer a great breakfast variety and they had great coffee. The lemon water at the lobby was a nice touch. It's close to everything but making a left out of the property is like playing Frogger.

We stayed just the 1 night visiting family in the area. The hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful. Our room was well furnished and the bathroom was large. It was easy access on and off the highway with many restaurants in the area. The breakfast was hot and plentiful.

Not an amazing stay but they did let me check out later than usual. They also give a courtesy call at check out. The shower head was a bit dirty though and the carpet seemed a bit old. Parking was tight.

Cute little quaint place. Plenty of eatery and shopping. But I have never ever experienced such a small bathroom. Me and my guest had to squeeze past the bathroom countertop every time we went to the bathroom. Sadly the parking lot was one way in an one way out into busy traffic.

Very clean, helpful, friendly staff, stayed 2 nights, 2 rooms for girls weekend with my daughter who flew in from out of state. Nice proximity to airport, shopping, restaurants and beaches. Going back next month with grandsons, another 2 rooms for 2 nights. Breakfast is good, served free downstairs. Parking is free. Hope they will give us our rewards points from last visit, because I didn't remember password and reservations were in my name and rewards are in my husband's...weird. (hello 1950's? Women can travel without their husband's LOL) BTW, it's in a nice area, close to everything

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. My family and I always stay at Best Western wherever we go and always have a very nice stay. The overnight front desk George went above and beyond to help with any issue we had. Very comfortable place.

BUGS in room 219. I wasn’t going to write a review but felt it was necessary after talking with the manager George. I checked in for a 1 day trip for my nephews graduation. Upon checking in everything appeared to clean. We took a short nap 1-2 hours and left for graduation at the Tampa Bay Rays stadium. Upon returning after graduation and dinner we noticed tiny bugs on the tables, behind TV and on our luggage. We immediately called the front desk to let them know and told them to please come look at the room. They said no need to come look at the room(which I found weird) but they told the manger and my money would be refunded. Fast forward to today I was told I am not being refunded because their was no bugs. When asked did you look at the room George the Manager said there is no reason to because he knows there is no bugs. Then got offended about the situation saying “your acting like I don’t know what I am doing”. Totally shocked me that someone in the “hospitality” business and a manager would act like this with a customer. I will never stay a a brat western and will be filling a complaint on record with corporate about him and their hotel conditions. Upon talking with someone at another location they said that it could be sugar ants which is common in that area. Either way we didn’t feel comfortable staying. I wish I could give it no stars because they way the Manager handled the situation they deserve it.

I stayed in February and had a problem with one of my rooms, but they were quick to accommodate me to switch rooms and a free night. The rooms are very clean and the beds are made nicely. The hotel is in the heart of soho close to many restaurants and activities (traffic is a bust). The staff were wonderful and always alert and helpful. The manager was the one that hooked me up with a free stay and made sure my stay was pleasant. The breakfast bar is great and has everything you need and the breakfast attendant was very helpful. Thank you Best Western Tampa, I will be back.

My experience was not good. I asked why I was charged twice for the night. Lady behind the desk said I should contact my bank. Bank had nothing to do with it. She had charged both my cards for one night. She was very rude. And said we had to leave. Also the filters for the air conditioner were very dirty. And the place smelt like mildew. I woukd not recommend this hotel.

  • 1/5 Brittany A. 1 year ago on Google
It was really dirty. Our blankets had stains, the bathroom door was really dirty, every countertop and even the desk was greasy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, the shower looked gross. Tried calling the front desk from the room phone and no one answered but I called on my cell phone and the front lady picked up right away. I asked for a late checkout, she was rude but she said at noon but clearly she didn’t tell the housekeepers that who came knocking at 11 am anyway. They called our room at noon as we were packing up our stuff and they shut the water off to the room when it was only 10 min past noon. This place is just so ghetto and even on our way out we received dirty looks from the front desk ladies. The whole thing was weird, I still don’t understand the animosity but I’ve stayed at some really nice Best Westerns and this is not one of them. Also, my boyfriend’s ear got bit by something in his sleep and judging by other reviews that had issues with bugs here, it’s safe to say they have bug problems. Gross.

I definitely would not recommend anyone to stay in this Best Western. There was a problem with energy in the whole hotel and they don't even have emergency lights on the stairs. We had to get to our rooms using our cellphones lanterns like we were on a cave. Next morning when we try to speak to the manager they told us he wasn’t working and was imposible to reach. Front desk old lady wouldn't give us a chance to talk about the problem and treat us horribly. Anyway, this is by far my worst experience as a guest and i hope the old lady gets fired.

I am a rewards member with Best Western and I have stayed in some of their hotels that have been less than favorable. We were working at our house in an area stricken by Hurricane Ian. When we finished on the last day we wanted to stay without power and air conditioning, it was late and we had a 3 hour drive to Tampa. It was hard to find availability anywhere but they had a room. We were tired, dirt, and hungry. We spent 5 nights in that room. It was centrally located and had wifi so we could deal with phone calls and internet conversations with insurance companies. If I had any negative, I would say the staff could be more personable. They did everything I needed but really didn't talk much. Other than that, great stay. We would recommend and stay again.

Hotel was pretty clean and decent overall. I didn’t eat the the breakfast but the hot options were scrambled eggs waffles and bacon. The bath tubs don’t have stoppers so you have to use a wash cloth if you want to take a bath. Also the beds are hard as a rock so if you have a bad back it’s not very enjoyable. For the price though not a bad place to lay your head for a couple hours.

  • 5/5 Danny 2 years ago on Google
Check-in was phenomenal. They ladies were both professional and knowledgeable. The room had a peculiar smell when we first walked in, probably from the carpet or stale air in the room. The water has hot and warm water but I could not seem to get cold water though. There was one area on the wall that needs to be addressed but other than that room looked clean and ready to use. The shower water pressure was decent.

Great location for a game at Raymond James Stadium as well as the New York Yankees Spring Training. Bed was great. Loved the microwave, coffee maker and the refrigerator option. The only complaint was the bathroom door. It had to all but be closed to allow full use of the sink and hair dryer.
