Nestled
just
outside
downtown
in
a
quiet
neighborhood,
Gram's
Place
is
may
be
as
unique
of
a
hostel
as
they
come.
Mix
your
average
neighborhood
home
with
a
tree
house,
and
a
few
courtyards
and
you
get
a
good
feel
for
the
place.
Colorful,
classic,
and
eclectic
decor
is
found
throughout
this
place.
All
of
the
staff
is
very
friendly,
helpful,
and
wonderful
host
during
our
2
days
here.
If
you
can
catch
the
manager
Rhonda,
when
the
mood
hits
her
just
right,
you
may
find
her
in
the
kitchen
baking
a
fresh
batch
of
cookies.
Have
a
seat
at
the
kitchen
table
or
the
livingroom,
pick
up
a
guitar
to
strum,
make
a
fresh
pot
of
coffee,
and
you
may
can
snag
a
cookie
for
yourself
;)
They
have
laundry
on
site,
a
soaking
pool,
a
few
courtyards,
private
and
mixed
dorm
rooms,
a
byob
bar,
outside
bathroom
&
shower,
and
a
couple
of
treetop
lookouts
to
relax
at.
Also,
BREAKFAST
is
included:
eggs,
coffee,
some
fruit,
bread,
pancake
mix,
and
a
few
jams
and
peanut
butters.
We
visited
in
July
and
stayed
in
Amsterdam,
a
6-bed
mixed-dorm
room.
The
beds
were
more
on
the
springy
side,
good
length
if
you're
under
6
ft
tall,
without
any
privacy
curtains,
and
we
slept
okay.
My
mate
had
a
bit
more
trouble
sleeping
than
I
did.
It
was
pretty
humid
while
there,
and
the
first
night
I
woke
up
and
had
to
ask
for
an
extra
fan
for
the
room
-
this
made
a
huge
difference
in
the
overall
room
temp
(we
were
sleeping
in
the
middle
of
the
upper
room).
We
just
needed
a
crash
spot
for
a
few
days,
and
I'm
glad
we
chose
to
stay
here!
Good
experience
:)
***Extra
Tips***
•Temperature:
a
private
room
may
be
a
better
option
with
it
having
it's
own
cooling
unit
if
you're
worried
about
temperatures.
•Mosquito's:
we
had
no
issues
or
problems
with
them
despite
other
recent
reviews.
