Jacki at the front desk has really made this stay enjoyable. Been here for a month. Can't complain about the room because of the price for sure but customer service is something that will make or break any experience. Jacki holds it down at the front desk and will go out of her way to make my stay as comfortable as possible by being fully competent and caring. If you don't promote her to manager then there is something wrong with upper management! Cheers

After an extremely long horrible weekend of packing a house and then unpacking into a storage unit all I wanted to do was get into a room and get settled. From the moment I walked in the door, I started to feel better. First impressions and how you are greeted are extremely important. Tony (General Manager, I believe) was awesome. I think he could see how stressed I was just by my face and tone but by the time I left the office he had me laughing smiling and happy that I chose to come back to this location. He was extremely helpful kind and respectful. With the customer service I received and satisfaction overall my stay went from a night to a month with great rates! Thank you so much.

If I can give this place no star rating, I would. This is the worst place to stay starting from the roaches to the mold and lastly the incompitent staff including the manager (review picture for name) not only did he accuse me of not belonging there at the time of my reservation but at around 8am my door was opened without my permission while my wife and my kids were asleep and half dressed. (Remind you, check out at 11am) and then ask for my I.D. to be sure that I have "reservation." My question is if I "did not" have a reservation, then why would I have a key to my room if I didn't belong? Wouldn't that have been known at check-in? & then, on top of that, threatened me to call the police demanding that I give him my I.D. to "make sure I am who I am." I am beyond Pissed for how I was treated and most importantly how my family was embarrassed.

This hotel is equivalent to a ghetto type neighborhood. Partying and fighting until 2am, people smoking everywhere, incompetent and unprofessional staff, loud airplane and highway noise all day and night, piles of dog feces, mini alcohol bottles, and rat traps throughout the property, rooms are mediocre at best, and largely overpriced. Spoke to Manger Tony about a few concerns and he was completely disinterested in assisting to make our families stay more pleasant and rather rude about it. With all the options in the surrounding area, I can’t not recommend this unhealthy environment enough.

The hotel room was good. First we were give a room and when we checked it we noticed that the flush in the bathroom is not working properly. The help desk lady immeditately gave us an another room. I don't remember her name but she was so polite and welcoming. The reason I gave 3 stars is the soaps provided in the bathrooms were very cheap and no shampoo was provided. The to-go breakfast provided is very minimal and they will be out if you do not go early by 8am to the front desk. Otherthan these, there are no complaints. Overall it was a comfortable stay at this hotel.

This place is absolutely atrocious to simply put it. Stayed here for one night but left the next morning due to the inhumane living conditions. Roaches roam free in the rooms and infest small spaces they can find. The bathroom is also horrible where roaches roam free as well as the bathtub is a little dangerous to stand in with a small area that is actually flat. WOULD NOT recommend staying here! There are better hotels around Tampa International Airport than this ESA location (Tampa's ESA Spruce Street location based on reviews suggests to be better than this North Airport location).

This establishment is fine for pricing, however it has a bad roach/pest infestation problem that needs to be resolved. Walked into the room and immediately saw roaches running across the floor. Killed 8 of them before I fell asleep. Please close down the establishment, hire a reputable pest control company and have them properly assess the infestation and provide a remedy for it

This hotel has earned its nickname “roach motel”!! The roaches was everywhere once the lights were out. Also, the entire second floor reeked of an intense marijuana smoke. The staff was pleasant but the environment negated their efforts. I would never recommend this experience to anyone!!!

I was surprised nervous about showing up here after all the reviews I read online about bugs and cleaning. I must of got lucky because although things are kinda rusty in here the room still turned out great. The front lady was super nice and in a great mood. I have hot water and cold air. There was black hair in my bed but other than just a few strands it wasn’t nothing for me to be concerned about. The beds are wrap so I couldn’t find anything checking for bugs and the sheets smell good. Not a big fan of the room 3 doors down from me with a aggressive dog barking at me through the window as I got out of my car. The way the room set up I feel like I’m staying in my own little apartment which is a plus to me since I’ll be here for a few weeks. I also like the rooms doors take you outside. I don’t know if anyone above me or not, but I don’t hear no outside noise at all in my room or above me. Tv is bigger than most hotels I stay at. This is my first night here so far, but I’m pleased

We actually didn't stay the night, we left in the middle of tropical storm idalia. The room was gross. The frig had mold on it. The tub was cracked a lot and only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. The kitchen faucet wouldn't shut off and looked 20 years old. The floors were dirty. But worse of all, was the bedding. The sheets had dirt all over them, the blankets smelled. The mattress was in a plastic cover, but you could see the stains all over on the inside. We put towels on the bed but woke up itching. They also said we'd have a sofa and fullly stocked kitchen, there was neither. The only thing good was they took pets and the front desk woman was way too nice and helpful to work there. We didn't call the front desk because of the storm, I didn't want to go out in the storm or have the front desk come by. It was raining hard. We left at 2 am when the weather was a little quieter. We only arrived at 730 pm. We'd never stayed at one before and although we evacuated from the storm, staying home would have been better. I don't know who owns this chain, but definitely gives this hotel a bad name. Just because they allowed pets, which was great for a lot of people during hurricane season and without a huge surcharge that other places charge. The place should be cleaner. I didn't even want to leave our dog there. I came home and took a shower just to feel better. It's is a real shame that they don't take care of the hotel. It's a great place for pet's, there's a lot of trees and enough walking spaces. But definitely think about it before you stay there.

Front desk was unfriendly (wasn’t at the desk to start with; no apologizes for the wait; had their kid there). The room: awful; laminate coming up in bathroom; 2 of 4 kitchen drawers screwed shut; 1 kitchen draw has no bottom to it. Trash was overflowing at all locations with trash sitting outside doors also not picked up upon arrival or departure. Truly go somewhere else! Thankful I didn’t book this longer a night - I was going to rent a room here for 3 months!

I wish I didn't ignore most other reviews. The place was filthy, dirty, scary because I came after midnght. And the lobby is closed. You have to use the phone outside. I tried to get a refund. I stayed there for a nght. And had booked for 3nights . I couldn't stand the conditions. I would not recommend it to anybody.

Good price for what you get. Nice little hotel for a quick stay. Shower is really hot and it stays hot for a long time. Definitely needs thicker blankets and maybe 4 pillows instead of 3 .. it’s close to a few 24 hr food spots and the other restaurants stay open pretty late. It’s perfect for a weekend at Bush Gardens. The ladies at the front desk are nice.

My wife and I showed up late after the Billy Joel concert and we literally had to pick up a phone on the wall to call the front desk and we had to stand in the cold until other guests were checked in. Key didn’t work and there were roaches. Paid $300 for the room due to price gauging on top of it. Not to mention the guy at 6:15 am who was approaching us at our car in the dark. Scary as all get out

I enjoyed my stay there, the staff was very friendly, any issues I had they were addressed. A plus is the location it’s not far from food, gas and shopping. Chuck and Jennifer were terrific, made me feel like family. I enjoyed having conversations with them and the other guests that are staying there. The price is good and the bed is comfortable, never had a sleepless night. Thank u all for making my stay great. Happy new year.

Hi my name is Darren, and I currently reside at the Tampa Airport north location and I have received nothing but superb service from the front office staff but most of all the Manager Tony who has been extremely supportive and helpful with anything I need!.. He definitely should be recognized by the higher ups on the great job he is doing!!.. I really appreciate everything he has done/doing for me and my family. We enjoy staying here and don't have any issues or complaints!!.. Thank you, Darren

Jennifer at the front desk I'd thee worse.lets start with there was no hot water 4 days. She gave us keys 2 someone's room who was in the shower then we made a complaint of maintenance guy going in and out of rooms and she got nasty which wasn't the first time. She got mad at herself 4 being horrible at her job. By far thee worse experience everrrr. Corporate has yet 2 return my calls about no hot water n other violation.......

You know there are not many hotels that great concierge service but this one does. Everyone is so friendly and answers all your questions that you might have. I have my two superstars at this hotel. Chuck and Jacki. There are better looking hotels, but this is where I'd rather go because the service is great. Keep up the great work y'all, we do notice it!

I used to like this location I would come visit and it was nice and quiet. With the inflation my wife and I have been living here for the past 4 months and everything was fine at first now there's a lot of people hanging out drinking you see beer cans and beer bottles every where people smoking weed now it's almost 11pm and there's a bunch of guys outside by the grill area drinking and I never see workers walking around to make sure everything is ok they don't enforce any rules and the employee that works at night which is a Caucasian female is lazy and has very poor customer service it's safe to say we won't be here much longer and I don't recommend this hotel!!

Helpful staff, quiet location, I see comments complaining about nightlife, most people keep to themselves and I have not had any issues. Florida is a popular location for bugs, if you keep clean they wont come searching for food. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this hotel amongst others in the area, besides the airport and the sounds of take-off. I recommend extended stay and this location to friends and family, I feel comfortable staying long term. There have never been any problems with staff or neighbors. Shoutout Tony io

One of my best hotel experiences ever! Rooms are up to every standard one could expect to find, all appliances, electronics and utilities are 100% as advertised, as they should be, WiFi signal is strong, and bathrooms are surprisingly functional... Employees are conducting themselves professionally, and they are all kind and helpful.

This place is horrible I got room 319 when I entered the room smelled of mold there were pantiliners left on top of the ac, the worst part was the roaches dead roches in the refrigerator and crawling all over the kitchen and bathroom. I contacted the office and was never offered another room and she was not hospitable at all.

This is the worst extended stay i have ever experience in my life. I book a non smoking room due to my asthma. When i got there the front desk was awful bad attitude. As soon as i open the door the smell hit me, it was like i fell into an ash tray the room was disgusting. When i call the front desk to tell them they book me into the wrong room i was told no. I even told the guy at the front desk to go check the room he said no and proceed to tell me 'that is not his problem'. When all was said and done i was in the parking garage trying to figure out where i was going to stay. Then i found out i was charge twice. this place need to be shut down and put under new management. What a disgrace to the the brand. Just dont go to this place. zero star was not an option

The best extended stay we have experienced. The front office team and manager make us feel at home. The cleaning crew is always willing to provide what we need. If you need a place to call home while u need, come over!

My TV did not work and when I called the girl at the front desk she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I asked her to switch me to another room and her answer to me was, we can switch you tomorrow at 10am and then hung up on me.

I reserved a room, they charged the full amount, but when I arrived, there were no rooms available. They didn't even let me in the lobby. A woman shouted through the glass that there were no rooms without any explanation as to how this could happen. So I stayed with the child at night in a strange city on the street. We had to return to the airport as it is impossible to find a hotel at night. The customer service of this chain of hotels did not help. They resold the reserved and paid room and didn't even apologize for leaving me with the child on the street.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is at this hotel! 24 hours before I was to move into a house I’m renting, I learned of extensive repairs and had to find a place to stay for 3-4 weeks. Chuck, Jennifer, Maria, Brenda and countless others at this location made what could have been a nightmare actually quite the pleasant stay. They treat you like family here, definitely recommend if you’re ever in need of an extended stay or even a few nights!

I was surprised given the negative reviews. It was clean and well kept. No dishes like the old days so bring all lyour own kitchen ware. Reservations can be challenging. I think the phone people live in central China and India. Get them to send confirmation email. They get lots of things wrong and unless you get a confirmation from them repeating your instructions at check-in or you may be in for a surprise. Bring clothes hangers or go down the street to dollar general and get what you need super cheap. Enjoy!

Got to this location over an hour early, Maria checked us in early and was very quick, kind, and efficient to show us where to go to get to our rooms, as well as giving us all the morning/check in/check out information as well, so far the experience has been very welcoming and expectations have definitely been exceeded, the rooms were even better than the pictures! And thank you to Maria for letting us check in when we arrived!

Dirty room, cockroaches, stayed a week and two days never had cleaning service, they charge extra for that. They had no extra pillows until the last night there. They had no dish pack, coffee maker. Microwave had roaches in it. Exchange service for towels and didn't get back what we turned in because they were out.

This was the first place that I stayed at since moving here. The management and front desk staff is very nice and treats you with respect and concern. The manager Tony is awesome and is always willing to help. Chuckie and Mylinda are awesome. They really treat you like family and I'm grateful to have had the pleasure to meet them and be apart of the Extended Stay Family

I arrived with my family between 10:00 PM and midnight or so. There was a mix-up with our flights so we needed to rest. My mother and aunt are handicapped. My mother walks on a cane and my aunt is in a wheelchair. We just needed to freshen up, eat something, shower, and sleep for a few hours. We left at 5:00 AM for the airport our flight was scheduled for 7:11 AM. Now our party was over capacity. I gave the Lyft driver the address turns out we were supposed to be at Westshore. We were desperate and he was unable to take us to another location. There was 1 room left. We took it. I was only for a few hours of sleep. there were 8 of us. As I stated before, we were booked for Westshore and the Lyft driver drove us to the wrong location. That room had 2 double beds and a couch bed. The room at your location only had 2 double beds I do understand. We settled in to freshen up to find no dishes, the refrigerator would not open. We later found out. We chose the Extended Stay to shower, eat and get a few hours' sleep before we got up for our flight in a few hours. We bought food to cook but were unable to. Nothing to eat on or with. We go to the Seven-Eleven right up the street to get snacks. I go to the bathroom, to find roaches running around the bathroom floor. Several of them. I tell my kids to look at these roaches! They come in and see them. Another one of my children opens the kitchen cabinets again roaches! That explains why there were no dishes and the refrigerator did not open. Nobody would want to freshen up before their flight with roaches. We leave at about 5:00 AM and stop at the front desk to express our concerns. An apology would have been just enough. The lady at the desk tells us they spray immediately when there is a complaint admitting she is aware of the problem otherwise you would not know that they spray immediately. She then states they don't know because you cannot see them in the daytime. Realizing how she sounded she flips it on us there are only too many people for this room, and that excuses the roaches that we had in our room? My mother told her that was BS and had nothing to do with the roaches that were in the room. It was unacceptable and I did not want to hear those poor excuses. All she had to do is offer an apology and say they would tell maintenance immediately. She chose to make an excuse. Yes we were over capacity but our circumstances were dire and we needed food and shelter immediately. No, and 2 disabled people were not able to sleep at the airport. We were offered vouchers. Who was coming back to stay at the roach motel? She didn't like what my mother said. My mother walked out in was disgust. The lady at the desk proceeded to talk as my mother walked out behind my mother's back and that was when she got told off by all of her children. My mother was finished when she walked away and had nothing more to say. Perhaps you would want to bring your mother and handicapped aunt to sleep in a roach-infested Entended Stay with no dishes and a refrigerator that was unable to open. Poor poor, poor. I have stayed in some very nice and affordable Extended Stays and this one was not one of them!! Unless it was her family's hotel there was no need to make excuses just fix the problem!! Unfortunately, my mother is a radio personality, motivational speaker, and writer. I cannot wait to hear this review!

My traveling companion made a reservation for a room described in the emailed confirmation as "2 bedroom suite/1 king bed, 1 full bed, sofa sleeper". We arrived on 4/6 around 8:00pm after calling to make sure our reservation would be held. The office was locked and the phone next to the door did not work. Called their number which had an after hours recording. Sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot. Banged on the door for a while and someone finally showed up and checked us in. Room type was discussed and through broken English they said something along the lines of "we don't have that type of room" but checked us in and sent us to our room. We got to the very small single room that had...one bed...for 3 of us! It also smelled of smoke and did not seem very clean. Had to go back and check out and find another hotel in the area at the last minute. Needless to say, we will never use this company again... Complete FAIL. I am certain there will be a response to this review, like all the others, saying they will use this to improve their services. Hasn't happened yet and not likely to happen in the future! If you want to make it right, send us the extra $100 we had to spend on an alternative hotel.

We had to check into this motel due to plumbing being done at our home and I would've much rather take my chances at home during the construction. We had to move rooms three different times with no carts for our luggage. We had to share 1 room with a pull out couch that had NO mattress amongst 5 people and 2 dogs. We weren't provided any of the practical kitchen utensils and the employee at the front desk was not helpful or professional AT ALL. I wish it ended there but we came across a few roaches as well as having a phone that doesn't work. All in all, if I could give this motel a one-star rating, I would. We definitely will NOT be returning nor recommending this motel to anyone that we care about. Sincerely I guess you get what you pay for

Ms.Jenny has by far been the sweetest part about my stay here, from always handling my requests with an urgency and care or the interactions with me and dog that put a smile on both our face. She’s absolutely amazing. Also there’s a young lady I believe her name is Celine who is intelligent and has amazing social skills I felt extremely comfortable asking for help with the laundry and free breakfast schedule, these are two people who are by far more then employees but women who understand hospitality.

This hotel is disgusting. Non smoking rooms have definitely been smoked in. Everything I had with me in the room smelled awful after leaving. The room was also very dirty. Take 2 steps on the floor and the bottom of my feet would turn black. This is definitely a 1 star hotel. They need to gut the place and start over.

Hi, I am staying at the Extended stay at North Tampa Airport. I have been working long days. It’s so nice to stay in a place while working the road that feels almost like family. Jacki who works the overnight has been so helpful. Weather it was the laundry, keys, directions she is so patient and hard working. I would stay here again anytime. She is great!

Firstly, within 5 minutes of being there I killed a cockroach. Within 20 mins I saw 3 more Shower had hair a soap pieces in the drain. Room smelled like cheap cigarette smoke covered with cheap air spray. Location was fine for the area we were in but it is right next to the air port so you do have constant jets flying down or taking off.

There is a lady at the front desk name Jackie and she has the best hospitality ever. Whatever you need or whatever problem you have, she always has a solution. She is the best. She is the reason why I'm writing a review with 5 stars and I hope she gets a real nice raise! She truly deserves it. A great worker like her shouldn't go unnoticed.

My stay started off rough but with the help of Chuck switching my room, Extended Stay North Tampa became a much more comfortable stay! The first night I stayed in a room where the heat did not work which was terrible because temperatures dropped below 40 degrees that night and the refrigerator looked like had not been cleaned since the 1950s. After letting the staff know and walking down to the office with pictures Chuck was more than willing to accommodate me. I must say the second room was spacious and spotless, everything I could have asked for in hotel room! The hotel’s location is short distance from the airport and a few walkable options like Thorntons, CVS and Big-Lots. Also, the hotel conveniently pet-friendly (cats and dogs) which was a huge plus.

I don't have any bad thing to say about my stay. Very friendly staff went out of there way to check me in early and then made sure room was clean. Very good night sleep.

Very pricey, we called in and they gave us the run around and we called back and got in for a cost you wouldn't believe. The room was dated and had roaches in it. You can't set the hotel at all from any angle you're coming from. My partner got bit by something in his sleep, yeah it was pretty awful.

The man at the front desk A.Lovino (I may be spelling that wrong) is one of the best things about this place. He is kind, welcoming, and SO helpful. He helped my family and I get the best rate possible while staying between apartments which helped us enormously. The rooms are clean and nice, no burn holes or smoke smell in the room. Thank you so much “A” for all of your help and kindness during our stay!

Worst place to stay. I was there for 3 nights. Room was so stinky and had a strong pungent smell. Roaches running all around, toilet doesn't flush, bed bugs. Called and complained everyday and was told that maintenance will come and fix the toilet, housekeeping will clean the room and add air fresheners. Nothing was done. Didn't have chance to personally meet the manager since had to leave early in the morning and come back later in the day. Night shift front desk lady was by herself and wouldn't do anything since she didn't have any support. They couldn't even change my room. They denied to give any refund. Carpet was stinky as was the floor sticky and stinky with roaches all around the room. Will not consider picking this hotel in Tampa any more.
