The table side Guacamole is a must. So fresh and absolutely delicious! On Sunday that had a bottomless mimosa or bloody mary option that was worth it for $14. The tacos were amazing. The food speaks for itself here. The service is just okay. They get very very busy on the weekends and like everywhere now, they need more staff. The servers were trying and were friendly, but you could tell they were struggling. The experience was great and plan to wait a while for a table if you don't make a reservation early on the weekends.

First time visiting this place. It was great! The nacho appetizer was a great size for a group to share and tasty. My dish was a bowl of chicken, beef and shrimps in sauce with tortillas that I shared with my boyfriend that was delicious! (wish I remembered the name of the dish) I definitely recommend it to anyone! Oh, and let's not forget the fantastic tasting strawberry margarita! Yes, definitely going again soon to try other things.

So the atmosphere is always great to me. I LOVE that Tampa city feel and this area, International area always gives me life. I would almost always swear by Roccos until recently 😩 😫. Which I'm accrediting to late hours and it being taco Tuesday. Because normally drinks are great, not watered down. Servers are normally energetic and always there to serve with a smile. FOOD is normally amazingly delicious especially the fresh made Guac! I hope that's the experience others have

I really wanted to love this place, the atmosphere was great with lavish decor. Many beautiful chandeliers and lamp features. The two bar areas were unique in style and large, the indoor seating is large and has a comfortable feel, also the outdoor seating is large and well decorated, however, this was were the charm ended, the staff at the front desk seemed put off we didn’t want to go to the bar to order and wanted to be out on the waitlist for a table. After a short 10 minutes wait, we got a table and ordered the table side guacamole $15, and the waitress gave a smirk and bad vibe after that. It was an awkward and unpleasant experience when she was making the guacamole especially when we told her no onions. The taste of the guacamole was good, however, it was blended so much it was smooth with no chunks of avocado left, not ideal for guacamole. I order the two beef taco with rice and refried beans, one soft and one hard shell. My food was well plated and look delicious, however, not the case. When I picked up the tacos every thing fell out of the bottom because it was so soggy, the refried beans were more of a soup and even served in a bowl with not one bean in it, and the rice was dry. I’ve been to enough Mexican style restaurants and this is one I would skip and I would not return too even with the beautiful atmosphere, customer service is key and unfortunately this place is lacking that in many levels.

Pleasant staff, even though there was a long wait (hour an fifteen minutes) which was explained prior to seating. We sat at the bar with no waiting and we’re served quickly, the Jalapeño margaritas were delicious. When we were sat, Chelsea explained that they were short staffed and the kitchen was slow (which is understandable with the current situation on labor) However our food came out quickly and was very good.

Yes a million times. Came during lunch and it was busy so we had to wait 20 min, but so worth it! Server was quick and attentive! The chips and queso were some of the best I’ve had! The queso was so flavorful!! I got the chorizo taco and pollo taco + made it a platter! Great price for all you get! The watermelon margarita (with the better tequila) was tasty and refreshing! By far my fav spot for tacos / Mexican food! A little on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality of food!

I frequently visit international plaza mall and this is one of my favorite places to visit there. Very trendy crowd of diverse group and always busy albeit service is really good including their menu options and delicious food. Place is always clean even with larger crowds. Interesting tidbit is restroom has screens which play movies :). Recommend this place for get together, fun with great service and food.

I honestly would have given 5 stars, but it was a bittersweet experience. The food was absolutely AMAZING! But service was poor. Our table wasn't ready when they said it would be and I cannot make this part up, but we actually NEVER was assigned to a server. Someone came to apologize, took our order, brought the food out and never returned 🤦🏾‍♀️... The plus though was that when we asked for the bill they said don't worry about it since you were never waited on. So, we just ultimately ended up leaving a tip for the buss boy. Cups were SUPER dirty. I do not recommend drinking from the cups. Several people around us was also asking for cleaner cups. The cups were dusty. They changed them out, But still dirty. Also, I'd recommend going in the day time when its less crowded because night time seems extremely packed and easy to get looked over if you have a party with 2 or less. Overall, food was delicious and I would either recommend you eat here in the day time or order "to go".

Cool atmosphere and decor. Our server (Jason) was awesome - he had lots of recommendations! The food was not so impressive. We ordered the Queso Fundido as an appetizer and it was ok, but a little on the salty side. It's served with flour tortillas which we didn't want so we got chips instead. We also ordered a variety of tacos to try with rice and black beans. Our food came out within minutes of ordering it which let me know that nothing was freshly made but more so just thrown together quickly and it tasted just like that!! Rice had no flavor to it, not even a grain of salt was put into it. Beans tasted like they were fresh out of a can! And the tacos were dry to the point where I couldn't tell what kind of meat I was eating. Such a disappointment!

I was really excited to try this place but I ended up being a bit disappointed. I got the Birria tacos and they were just not as good as I expected; they were really oily and the shells were a bit too crunchy. They also just didn’t have that much meat inside. It also only came with 3 tiny tacos which I felt were not that filling or that much food for the price they were. My sister got the nachos with chicken which was a lot better so if I went again I just wouldn’t order the birria tacos. They have all you can eat tacos on Tuesday for $28 which seems like a pretty good deal. Other than that the restaurant was pretty nice; the workers were attentive and we got our food pretty quickly. It is definitely a lively atmosphere the music in there is really loud and it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night.

This place was really good. Very unique food and unique flavors. Definitely not the typical flavors you would think from a taco place. I did think the food was well made they make everything made to order and fresh in house is what they told us and it seemed very true because the food came out super fresh and hot. The amount of food you get for the price is not totally worth it. It seemed like little food for a high price. The place is well kept and clean. The service there is alright the hosts weren’t super attentive. Other than that it was pretty great I loved this place I would recommend you come here for some great food and a unique experience.

Street corn is absolutely amazing, as well as steak tacos. I would highly recommend this place, super close to the airport as well. The service was quick for our large group and I think the ambiance of this place is sweet. Very unique with the Star Wars decor and more.

The guacamole was great!! My husband had the Birria Taco, he was not pleased. My sister had the fish taco and could not eat it. My food was not bad. My brother in law ordered the steak and that looked really good. My Mom enjoyed the chicken quesadilla.

Incredible drinks, great atmosphere. Kat is the best waitress ever. Queso is a little watery but guac is delish as are tacos. The staff went above and beyond for our group as well as several dietary restrictions.

Had the greatest time with my family. Our server, Kat, was absolutely the best. Extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. We will certainly be back very soon!

When I first walked in to restaurant the hostess was a bit out of it. I was not taken care promptly, she was unprofessional, and she pretty much looked confused on what her shift was supposed to look like with her servers on shift. My waiter on the other hand was friendly, informative, and kind. The atmosphere at restaurant is absolutely stunning, food prices are a bit high for Mexican food, but the flavor was absolutely delicious. I will give Rocco's Tacos another try, but I better get it impressed with good customer service, or I will never come back and will be disappointed once again.

Rocco’s definitely won me over for the music that was playing the night i decided to drop in and get a bite to eat. We sat at the bar, our waitress/bartender was good. Nothing exceptional but not disappointing like a lot of other bartenders especially when you aren’t a drinker…. But I always tip heavy because I don’t drink. The pulled chicken nachos were fantastic. Now let’s talk about tacos, I had the two tacos, steak and blackened fish. Both were the size of my fist, pretty bland and way overpriced. They should think about renaming their restaurant to Rocco’s Nacho & Tequila bar. Let Taco Bell claim the tacos. I’ll try again but I’ll stay away from tacos!

Mex-fusion at its best. Every visit is consistently good, food, service and atmosphere. The overall experience is a great choice for the area. Table-side prepared guacamole is a must, and so is the tres leches dessert. Plenty of interesting dishes make it a challenge to choose just one.

This place is really cool!!! Fantastic decoration. They have Star Wars movies in the bathrooms 😍 The food is ok! I found the portion sizes small for the price. Tacos in my case, which was the dish I chose. Friendly staff and were very quick with our orders.

Awesome restaurant! Yummy Margherita choices (I went for the Strawberry Basil 🍓🌱 Yummm!!!) We sat at the bar this time, busy Saturday afternoon. Really cool atmosphere & decor. Service was top notch & the nachos were delish, just what I needed!

When I initially walked in to this restaurant there was an asian lady who was supposed to seat us instead she decided to seat a white family behind us first and gave me an attitude when I bought it to her attention. I was very upset and was not going to dine here but my friend convinced me otherwise and I am glad she did. Our waitress Chloe was super friendly and went above and beyond to cater to us. She really turned my experience around and I appreciated that. I recommend that woman in the front seating people take a remedial training course in customer service and cultural diversity.

We had a great experience here! We were in town for a Taylor Swift concert—the place was very busy—but they seemed very well prepared. Located within the International Plaza, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Portion sizes were HUGE. We ordered an appetizer of the table-made guacamole and a steak quesadilla to share and we still brought food back to our AirBnb. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Only complaint was the bee 🐝 situation outside was AWFUL. I prefer Al fresco dining and don’t typically mind the bugs but it was not great. The staff were aware and were trying to get it contained. Would probably consider dining indoors next time! Overall, one of the best quesadillas I’ve ever had! Highly recommend! 🌮🍻

Nice place buzzing with people and a great atmosphere but the food is not great. Wings and tacos were just ok. Drinks were not that great either. It took the bartenders a long time to take our order and even check up on us.

Visit 2 March 2023 for dinner, party of 3, our last night of business trip. Ate on outdoor patio. I had the Mexican Cobb Salad, glass of wine. Our waitress, bless her heart was kind, professional and helpful with our dish selections. We sat outside to eat and the place was busy. However their rules for the happy hour drinks was something to be questioned and we did not appreciate the girl in the inside blaming our waitress for something they don’t have clearly displayed or that the bartender inside didn’t tell us. We came inside for a drink & to wait for a table; before our drinks came, a gentleman got news that his guests weren’t coming & invited us to his table because we want outside seating. He offered to leave us with his table. So we took our drinks outside with us. One of our co-workers went inside to get two more beers. Then our waitress had to tell us that the happy hour prices were only for those sitting at the bar on the inside. That was a first for us to hear, & we travel for business all over, so we apologize to our server. The food was good but I have had better, our server was great, location nice & safe since it is located in mall, food section. Although everything went well, it is not a place I would seek out again. Another reason is the tables are close, the couple next to us had a dog with them, he was on the chair at times, dirty butt in chair and I have allergies to pet dander & don’t prefer to sit in chairs where people have their pets’ dirty parts. So when in the area, I will not be back to this place. Plenty of other options in same location.

Great location at International mall in Tampa, Florida. The location is nice, dining outdoors was a nice experience, The staff and waitress are super friendly. The food was delicious, fresh, & great quality. I certainly recommend the fish tacos, I also enjoyed the unlimited tacos for $27. The margaritas I highly recommend as well. Overall I had a great time .

I’m not sure this is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but I always have a great time when I go here! The service is good and they atmosphere is a lot of fun. If it’s nice, try to sit outside and do some people watching.

Three crispy fish tacos and two pollo tacos with corn on the side served us well and made for a great evening dining out. Make sure to ask for sauce to spice things up, as it really helps to bring out the flavor in the food. Overall, I would recommend eating at Rocco's as I love the interior design with the bamboo lamps hovering over the tables outside.

Really fun place! Wonderful outdoor bar, great selection of beers and cocktails, really great food. Waitress are super busy, and work their tails off, but we're really nice and helpful. Fun decor. Lots to look at, all around a great atmosphere. But really busy, pretty crowded, sometimes hard to catch the waitress. I think they are understaffed. I will be back, really enjoyed it.

I had a wonderful first time visit to Rocco's Tacos. It was a great meal after shopping on a Saturday morning at International Plaza. This restaurant is very popular. We waited 35 minutes for a table at 1pm for lunch. The time went by fast. We were still able to walk around Bay Street while waiting for the text notifying us that the table is ready. They send a link that keeps you updated on the movement of the wait list. It was all very organized. I do love the décor and atmosphere. It had a very modern "Dia de los Muertos" vibe with fabulous light fixtures throughout the restaurant. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar seating. The booth seating is very comfortable. Gina was our server, and she got everything started right away with a bottle of water and took our drink orders. We also ordered the chips and salsa which has a trio of salsas. The salsas were very tasty, but none of them were spicy hot. Just keep that in mind if you like hot salsa. The chips were seasoned and fresh. We did see others getting the table side guacamole. So, chips and guac is also another option. The skirt steak was calling my name. They serve it 2 different ways, and one is a GF option which comes with avocado and sweet potato. I went with "al Carbon" which comes with rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. The steak was marinated and tender. It was also cooked perfectly to order. It was delicious! If I had to say anything negative it would be that the skirt steak was a thinner cut than others I've had. That may have been just me wishing that I had more steak. I certainly didn't need it because everything else on the plate was filling and equally as good. The rice was more of a converted rice. But, I must say that the combination of the rice, black beans, white cheese, sour cream, and chopped onion totally put that thought way towards the back of my mind. The sweet plantains were perfect. My friend also enjoyed her steak tacos which also comes with the rice and black beans. She kept commenting on how good it was as well. She had been there once before and reminded me to try the sangria next time. She said it's one of the best sangrias she has ever had at a restaurant. I'll keep that in mind for date night with the hubby. I had a great experience! The service was fantastic. I didn't get to try the tacos. They have an AYCE Taco Tuesday that I want to try one day. I'm also curious about the molcajetes served in the lava rock. That looks so delicious! My friend also said that the flautas are very good. So that's something else that I'm eager to try next time. I can't wait to go back.
