Food was delicious. We started off with the brushetta and then ordered the medallions with shrimp and my wife ordered the sirloin. The only reason I can't rate our experience higher is it took an hour to bring out the food that we cook. I didn't understand why it would take so long to bring out since we are cooking it. However the food was delicious as I mentioned, and we enjoyed the experience we had. I do recommend coming to try the stone cooking.

Nice bar! We stopped for a quick meal. The service was a little slow (kitchen). The server was attentive though. The drinks and the food (when it finally made to our table) were enjoyable! We had the Ghost pepper burger, which was surprisingly hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We also had the fish and chips. The fish was crispy/crunchy on the outside and nice n tender on the inside. Ooohh!! The truffle fries were fabulous!! We finished our meal with their popular brownie and it did not disappoint!! We plan to revisit, the restaurant seems to have some very interesting grilled options. We're intrigued!

This was my birthday dinner. My birthday was earlier in January but due to having Covid my dinner celebration was postponed. We were at our table for almost 10 minutes before our server, Lexi, came over. She took our drink order then my husband immediately explained we were celebrating my birthday late due to Covid and he wanted to make sure we could get the Volcano dessert. Lexi said we could. She wanted our entire order right then, not an issue. Another 5-8 minutes before our soda and bottle of Heineken arrived. All of our food (appetizers and entrees) arrived at the same time, not a big deal. Lexi checks in 3 times while we are eating. I requested to go boxes and ramekins for my sauce. “We’re out of ramekins, that’s why we are closing early” was the response I received. Not a problem, I figured that out. She then drops the check and disappears for 20 minutes. When she finally reappears my husband immediately asked about our dessert. Lexi stated “the kitchen is closed”. Mind you we watched another table receive dessert 30 seconds before Lexi came to our table. I was upset and pointed out the fact that someone else literally just got one and we had requested it during our first interaction with her. She was clearly annoyed and said she “would check”. While she was checking another dessert came out of the kitchen. Def not closed. We did finally get our dessert but Lexi made the experience less than good. The food was delicious but if I would have rather waited an hour for a table than to be sat in her section. Even given the bad service my husband tipped her $30 on a $105 bill.

So, went for date night. Had gotten mixed reviews from family and friends. But we like to make up our own minds. Thursday night was pretty slow. The idea of cook your steak the way you like it seemed interesting. It made me thing of Melting Pot. Which we like, but model based on cooking your own food. Overall experience alright. Nothing exciting. We had French onion soup, blue cheese salad and felit with coconut shrimp and the black rock cut sirloin. Everything was alright. Nothing exciting. If I was to choose this or Melting Pot. I would lean for Melting Pot. Not sure we would go back for the price... It leaves you a little short on experience and quality.

Great experience to cook your own steak. A great variety of different cuts of steak and sizes. The meat is really tender like angus beef. Amazing volcano dessert free on your birthday. Great cocktails and beers. Great service too.

One of a kind! The food is sooo good and fresh! Definitely go before 6pm, drinks are only $4! I have nothing bad to say about this place! The lobster dip was great! Jumbo shrimp we cooked at our table. House salad, freshhhh! Clam chowder fresh and creamy! Ribs were sweet and tender! Filet medalions cooked ourselves at the table and were so tender that it was softer than crab meat🤤😩!

The thing I love about Black Rock is it is just a unique dining experience. Cooking on the lava stone (which is the only way to cook the entrées there) is wonderful. We even cooked our rock lobster tails on it. Everything comes with this delicious Herb butter to cook it in, and there are flavorful sauces a-plenty. We were there on New Year's Eve and the one thing I have to say that I was not happy about is the fact that at 5:15 they were already out of crab legs. Granted they have a really good deal on crab legs but it was New Year's Eve. They said it was a supply chain issue and that's probably true, however for New Year's Eve you would think they would have marked the menus or let people know that it was not available. The crab legs dinner was $30 but they had a 1/2 pound add-on for $10.99 which 3 of our table members had ordered. I do truly appreciate how they handled it, they allowed us to purchas. e the Lobster tails instead as an add-on item. We were there early enough to take advantage of the $8.99 appetizers and had the lobster dip with pita and it was delicious. Also, I definitely recommend the sip flight. I had the chili the lobster best and the French onion soup and all of it was delicious My 80 Year old father who is the grill master of the universe, absolutely loved It, as we all did.

Came here on Veterans Day and they gave me a free steak dinner. Staff was very friendly and polite. Food was excellent, I got to cook my own steak on a sizzling hot rock! And they have a good selection of beers on tap as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent Anniversary dinner. Brisk was a great server. She was attentive to our needs and explained the unique lava stone cooking process. Delicious steaks all around. We'll definitely be back when we're visiting.

Oh my goodness! This is the example that all restaurant Bar & Grills should follow. It's more of an upscale Bar & Grill. Ashley was exceptional. I recommend this place and Ashley. She represents as if she is an owner of this place. Very friendly and professional. The food and portion sizes are phenomenal! The prices are quite reasonable. I love the food taste. We tried each other's food because it was that enticing. Bring your appetite, and try the Volcano Dessert! You won't be disappointed! 😋 Note: they gladly support our first responders and military personnel. 9/17/2023 O-M-Goodness! Brisk Jai was our server. She is phenomenal and enhanced our dining experience. The food is still great! The serving sizes are really good and the prices are reasonable. The Black Rock experience is great. I recommend!!!

You know you may be in trouble when the sign in front asks you to be patient with staff. Steaks are completely unseasoned.. just a hunk of meat and hot stone. Stir fry was not really a stir fry; unseasoned steak, soggy steamed veggies, rice that had the texture of soggy oatmeal and bland flavorless brown watery "sauce.". The worst part of the visit was seeing a waitress using the restroom, then leaving without washing her hands. That is just nasty!!! The bathroom was dirty. If the waitress doesn't have to wash her hands, can you imagine what the kitchen is like???

Jimmy the Kitchen Mgr saved the day! I was ready to walk out bc we were told that multiple items were unavailable- even though our server Katelyn was really great and tried her best to accommodate us. Then came Jimmy… He created items that didn’t exist, found missing items that had just come in, and came back to our table multiple times just to make sure we were happy. I’ve never had a kitchen manager go so far above & beyond to be helpful! Thanks Jimmy for being a great guy and having such an incredible attitude.

The experience was nice. Went and ordered a 24oz steak and it was fun to cook it. But i kept getting burned from flying butter or whatever. Still was my first time so i enjoyed it. The person i went with had a good quality sirloin steak. I am giving this 5 stars since the manager was super friendly and apologized that my meat was spoiled or something. Things happen and it is not their fault because a employee messed up or left something out at room temperature before freezing it. Overall the experience was great and called for a good night.

Good food. I really enjoyed the lobster bisque (my only pic) when I’m starving I always forget to take my foodie photos 🤦🏽‍♀️ however the restaurant is a little small/compacted for me. The waitress was very friendly and helpful for the most part. I certainly would not visit weekends again, maybe a week night. Too many people in small restaurant during weekend.

Food was great. We didn't get a picture but the soup "flight" was fun and they all tasted great. Service was on point and we never waited for our waitress to bring us anything. Like most places in the Tampa area, if you can make reservations, Do It! During normal business hours this place is busy busy so either come early or make a reservation!

I had never been to this place before and my girlfriend mentioned that someone from her work told her to check it out. We came over and got a table, she had a Filet 8oz cut and I got the ribeye 16oz cut. You cook it on a 700 degree volcanic rock and it really makes for a great experience. But what REALLY puts it over the top, great service. We had Tiffany as a server and she was the life of the party!! Great personality, patient with questions, fun for conversation and yet still managed not to hover or be overbearing. Hands down, service makes the experience at this place and she is the center of the great service!! If you go, ask for Tiffany. You won't be disappointed! Also try the creamed corn. It's not crushed corn, it's whole kernel and cooked with bacon, it's awesome!

Pretty good! I’m pescatarian but they have plenty of fish options and salads to choose from as well as the impossible burger. Also the volcano dessert was awesome in person.

Loved the concept of the black rock experience. It was a fun experience cooking my own steak. The pasta is great a I wish the tables were a little larger though because it can get crowded with all the dishes on the table.

It is always perfect. Tiffany was awesome. We had a party of 14. She rocked it. My best friend married his best girl.
