Yummy food! I do wish the service was a little better but overall it was good. The mini cake is huge to be for a kid. The hudcake was literally the size of the whole plate (see pics). Food was cooked well. Taste wise: the cheese grits were seasoned well, sausage gravy n biscuit was great, hash wasn't that great, pancakes were just ok, the bacon was bomb, the eggs and sausage were great. Overall worth the stop but be prepared to fight for parking if it's busy and potentially a long wait for a table. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up 😃

My kids took me for mother's day, very nice little restaurant, extremely busy. Service was good, sure they are probably more attentive when it's not a holiday like mother's day, took a while to get refills but for being so packed it was pretty good. Food is not too pricey, very good however the meat loaf was not that great. Four adults and one child our bill totaled$79,was pretty reasonable.Will go again.

Our group ordered the meatloaf, mac n cheese, steak quesadilla, and pulled pork. Everyone enjoyed their food. Took key lime and peanut butter pie slices to go. The service was good, great variety on menu, and clean bathrooms. Our group is planning to return to try other i items.

Decided to try Trip's out before our excursion to ZooTampa's Creatures of the Night. Quaint little diner with an extensive menu. Whatever you are in the mood for, pretty sure they may have it! We ordered the loaded fries as an appetizer. Was good, but not the best. I ordered the chicken biscuits with gravy and white cheese grits. My wife ordered a Cuban sandwich and fries. The entrees we're MUCH better than the appetizer. Was seated immediately when we entered and had our food within 30 minutes. Great place and great staff. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back!

Currently on vacation and went here just because it was pretty close and had good reviews. Great decision. The food was delicious. I had the meat loaf, mash potatoes, collard greens and cornbread. The other person that accompanied me had the shrimp and grits. He enjoyed it so much he went back the next day. Highly recommended. Staff was engaging and very nice.

Very scrumptious! The meatloaf melt was so big, juicy, and delicious! It was PERFECTION! My husband's breakfast burrito was huge, yummy, and the picture does not do it justice. The wait was very long on a Saturday around 1pm. Well worth it. The parking was small and tight. *My mouth is watering thinking about that meatloaf, so good!

We had a wonderful breakfast here! We stopped on our way home after staying downtown for the first time. They were busy, but the wait wasn't terribly long. We sat outside and had a great time. We had the breakfast Cuban sandwich and the corned beef hash. We shared a hubcake as well. Very good.

Service was great. The waiter was extremely nice and handled the area great. The food was below average. We were advised that the most popular dish served was shrimp and grits. It was far below average. Shrimp were overcooked, grits weren't creamy and the dish lacked flavor overall. The French onion soup was good. The wings should be removed from the menu because they were disgusting. My husband ordered a burger and they cooked it a perfect medium rare but it wasn't seasoned. I would not recommend if you're looking to go to flavor town.

Best grits I've ever had! Killer breakfast and great service. My wife and I ate there twice before leaving this review. We tried 6 meals and loved them all. Highly recommend the chicken biscuit with cheese grits. But the lunch and dinner was also very good.

I would not recommend going here. Our waitress was not rude but was not enthusiastic and made us seem like a bother. We came in at 8pm, closing is at 9pm. We quickly ordered within 5-10 mins. A soup, quesadilla, and a burger with fries. All items took 45 minutes to come out. No updates from our waitress, just kept walking by us. While serving us the food, our waitress then began cleanup and moving chairs around. Conversation? Forget about it. Too loud. She was sweeping by our table WITH food on it and us eating. We asked for boxes to go after taking one bite. Mind you, we were served with no napkins or utensils. Food was hot and good. No complaints there but sweeping near our table??? Ignoring us with no eye contact. Disgusting. Go elsewhere. See picture of sweeping near our food.

Food was amazing and great priced. Got a large order of cheese fries, Shrimp Alfredo, a Giant Pancake for less than 25 dollars!! Our server Callie was amazing and was patient with us since we haven’t been here before.

Really great, ample portions for this establishment. Nice and friendly waitstaff. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, since the place is popular for breakfast, and their parking lot is on the small side.

I love diners and Trip's is very good one. We've been more than a few times, always leave happy. Usually we go for breakfast, this was our first evening visit. Club sandwich better than most. Our niece was happy with her loaded fries and my wife liked her salad.

Great quality food. Big portions. Clean, new feeling dining room. Excellent service. Excellent price/value. Only downside was the dining room was a little warm, but not horribly so.

Trips Diner rocks. Super clean inside and out (great patio). If most diners are dirt rockers, Trip's is preppy and that's okay. 😉 It works well for them and it'll work well for your hungry a**. Excellent lunch and breakfast options. Desserts in a case. Excellent service. A few bar seats that face the open kitchen. Aspiring American idol singing loudly from behind the counter. You can get crab Benedict or a chicken salad sandwich melt w seasoned fries. ☕️ Also, great for kids!!

Dinner at the Diner. What could be bad? Quick and casual comfort food at extremely fair prices. This is the closest place I have found here that resembles a diner up north. And I am happy it exists.

So there a place called Trip's Diner on north Fla Ave. So let me start by saying. If you want some good food and the price is right on. Myself and my wife and my daughter eat there the service was awesome and the food is very delicious and very clean place to bring the family day and night we had the pleasure of having a great waitress name Belinda she was amazing and it was no time we waited for our food and the experience was amazing. Number one place to go now thank guys and kitchen staff awesome job on some really amazing food💯👀

We were looking for a breakfast place around us for Saturday morning and I searched around me. I came across Trip's Diner and we decided to have breakfast at Trip's Dinner. When we reached we were greeted by our server Miranda and we were seated on the table with menu and water. After browsing the menu we decided to order Hot Tea, Coffee, Quesadilla Veggie, Chicken Sandwich and Blackened Pasta. Our server first bought hot tea and coffee. The tea and coffee was hot and freshly prepared. Then we got our breakfast. We first started with chicken sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and we loved the chicken patty which was delicious and tasty. After that we had our veggie quesadilla. It was freshly prepared and had all the veggies which we loved. One of the best quesadilla we had. Then we had blackened pasta. Loved the pasta. One of the amazing and delicious diner to try in Tampa.

Cute little spot, been passing it for years and finally visited this delicious place! The grits are the BEST I've ever tasted! I had the Mr. Crab which was an omlete with cheese, spinach and crabmeat. My brother said their country fried steak was super juicy

Visited on Friday with my family. We wanted to dine outside, so I went in to get a table while the rest of my family waited out by the patio. The hostess, I'm not sure of her name, was very friendly and welcoming...however, the server named Rachelle however was not. When she was told it was her turn in rotation, she very rudely refused to take a table outside and said to find someone else who would be more than happy to do it. This didn't give me high hopes, but I don't base my opinions of an entire establishment based on one employee. Will ended up being our server and I'm glad he was. He was friendly, attentive, and efficient. He was knowledgeable about items and answered questions about meals as some of us had never visited before. He kept up with refills, and made sure to check on us. He definitely saved the dining experience after a not so great first impression. Kudos to Will. The food was amazing! I got the biscuits and gravy breakfast with bacon and eggs, and it was delicious, and a large portion! Be sure to come hungry!

Was driving to this area of Tampa from Orlando and we craved a diner a real diner boyy this place was perfect. What a great large menu of great selections. WE SAT AT TABLE #60 AND Lynda was our excellent waitress she was awesome and was a really nice caring person. We all enjoyed our meals I highly recommend this diner. The chili was awesome strawberry milkshake hamburger. Breakfasts Cuban sandwich all delicious. TRISTAN WAS ALSO HELPFUL WE LOVED TRIPS

I love Trip’s! My husband and I have visited multiple times and I am never disappointed by the food or the service. The staff makes you feel like family and is incredibly friendly. I wish I took photos of my food because it was delish! Their fried green tomatoes are amazing & the burger I got really hit the spot! They have a little bit of everything and no matter what food you like, you’ll find something here that you love.

Came here while on a quick trip in Tampa , walking distance from our Airbnb and what lovely diner. Fast and friendly service. A lot of food with great prices, my husband and I couldn’t even finish our plates. Would definitely be back

Ordered MEDIUM RARE burgers for pick up…. 2:30pm (not rush hour) and ended up WITH TWO WELL DONE HOCKEY PUCKS TO CHOKE DOWN!!!! (This is NOT the first time!) Called to voice my disappointment and the girl that answered the phone (“claimed to be the manager” LIE) I then asked for the owner….. “Not there”! She offered to make us new…. BUT ITS TAKE OUT!!! When we get the food home, it’s time to eat I SHOULDNT HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER TRIP OVER - BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKE!!! ITS A HAMBURGER!!!! HAMBURGER!!! HIRE A REAL COOK FOR GODS SAKE!!!!! Not fair to your customers!!!!!! Bad business, will never again order take out from TRIPPS - and will be hard pressed to even have breakfast there again.

I always enjoy myself as well as my family.. We had breakfast and there was ample enough food on each of our meals.. One pancake can fill two people up.. We love this place! We have come for breakfast for the last 5 days - food is great, service is great, staff are really friendly! All the food we ate was delicious. A great spot to head to before going to Busch Gardens which is just 10mins away. Pancakes are huge and the fried chicken is amazing!

*FIRST TIMER* I’ve heard so many good things about ‘TRIPS DINER’ I decided to tried it out after scrolling through all their delicious food pics, social media & reading rave reviews.. WELL THIS HOW IT TURNED OUT. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! Burnt my finger trying to remove gravy from potatoes.. Cashier Replace gravy lids and corn bread. I get home and tries food & it ALL taste old. Could not even eat my meal gave it to my dog... Just terrible. Looking for dinner? Better off going else where. Hesitate to go back and try breakfast

Our server Rachel was warm, amicable, and knowledgeable about the menu. It was a quiet night at Trip's but a steady flow of customers. I ordered from their extensive menu the French Onion soup and the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs over easy, wheat toast, and a side of thick bacon. The only thing that was slightly over cooked was the two over easy eggs but I probably needed to say to make it loose. Otherwise, it was a fabulous meal! I would recommend coming to Trip's if you are in the area or just want to take a ride to enjoy diner food!

A very good traditional American diner. Plan for a 40 minute wait on Sunday at noon, but all-in-all, worth the wait. The place was packed but our server was excellent and highly attentive with a very positive attitude. Thick cut bacon and thick sourdough toast. Best were the home fries... seriously some of the best I've ever had. The only improvement I'd recommend is that the coffee was mediocre (over roasted) but I'm nit-picking. Surprisingly, the prices were very economical. Highly recommended. Will go back again.

The grouper was very tasty! We have t to wait for about 30 mins to be seated but it was worth it. Our server was very hospitable and friendly! The crowd was diverse and the menu gave us many options! There is notice sides available but I like rice so I had to mention that! Otherwise, everything was great! We say outside!
