This was a real joy to discover. While the food was quite nice, this place is all about the location and views. Oddly, there are very few restaurants on the water and this one is perfectly situated for Sunset vista viewings. The food is well prepared, tasty and the service was all without issue but don’t expect a spectacular gastronomic experience, you will be satisfied but doubtfully over the moon. But book for Sunset and just sit back and enjoy.

Love this place. Shrimps are fantastic. Atmosphere, service on point. Good to have upper class places in the area. Christmas brunch was so warm and memorable. It seems like this is the first place I think of when any special occasion is coming …

Always have loved the food and the atmosphere but Only a couple servers wore masks and no one had on gloves when carryingthe food out! Our server did not wear any mask? and no gloves. CDC guidelines for restaurants to reopen are to wear face coverings when feasible! It is very feasible when serving and preparing food and drinks to wear a level 2 or 3 mask!!! Doesn't need to be an N95 and gloves should be on the runners who bring out the food. We'll be back to check soon. If I see masks I will change my review. I had the virus and it is very scary! You Don't want to get it!!!! The least food servers can do is to cover their mouths when delivering or preparing food or drinks. I watched the servers holding the plates of food while talking over the plate to another server---this cannot happen!!

This place is the real deal; all the atmosphere coupled with prime (mainly fresh seafood) cuisine. The wait staff provide good cheer and more than adequate service. Even the piano player walks around and takes requests... The sunset over the bay was timed perfectly with the end of our meal, punctuating the evening with a cathartic visual exclamation. Dessert and coffee added the proverbial cherry on top. This is a 5 star experience. Highly recommended.

Delightful evening celebrating! We had the Lobster. Stone Crab Claws were delicious! Black Grouper Mediterranean style. Salmon and potato pancakes was amazing!! Sunset was beautiful from the dock. Great service, our waiter was from Hungary.

Superb dining experience! The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is open, elegant, and the ceiling to floor waterfront views are so beautiful.

Nice Gulfside cafe adjacent to hotel, too windy to sit outside, bar and table seating areas inside. Birthday celebration, Mom didn’t like the steak but she never does anywhere. Special seafood sold out by 2:00, snapper dish ok thought breading preparation was odd, other diners had burger and beef. Key lime pie dessert was good. Server was very knowledgeable and “Garçon” professional. Accessibility was odd, had to have staff unlock the outdoor sliding door to avoid steps vs auto open and a key operated small lift to avoid 3 steps to rest area. 90’s vibe.

Really enjoyed catching the sunset on the deck. They have a nice outdoor bar nearby and the service was quick and friendly. Didn't get a chance to grab dinner, but the restaurant looked very nice. I liked how, after sunset, the deck was illuminated, very cool looking.

Extremely Amazing Location, right on the water! Parking is not easy, I would suggest using their Valet. Reservations are recommended. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and outdoor and indoor bars. My wife and I ate around sunset time which had amazing views over the water. Service was decent, I felt our server was very busy and rushed to keep on top of all his tables which we respect but at the same time everything we asked made it feel like a burden. Atmosphere is "old school" with white tablecloths and we felt a bit packed in like cattle where we sat. Food was awesome! No complaints at all, the escargot was very fresh, Lamb was cooked perfect, and my wife's scallops were amazing. Cocktails were so so, I am not a fan of the overly muddled old fashioned so all I got was chunks of cheap red cherries and orange pulp every sip. Overall it was worth the visit.

I've been going to this restaurant for many years and always received excellent service with good food but this may be my last visit. The prices have sky rocketed and food is just okay. Tonight the service was unaccepatable. The waiter seemed too busy to serve us. When he was at our table he continuously rushed us to order. Then when it was time to pay, he handed the machine to us with no itemized bill and asked to sign. When we questioned the 20 percent gratuity he said we could change it but the machine defaults to 20 percent. The entire time he stands over us waiting for us to sign. So intimidating and wrong that the machine defaults to 20 percent for awful service.

An unlikely place for a.5 Star in Dunedin, but the food is impeccable, the service consistent and totally appropriate, the dining rooms are wonderfully Inviting and comfortable, great value and few places Can only equal the view. This restaurant juts out of a finger of land into a Bay of the Gulf, so after sitting here for 15 minutes, your mood mellows, and you are ready for the great dining choices to come. Well done mixed drinks also. Just go there and you too will be a fan.

Caden was wonderful at making our New Years dinner a special one to remember. We had the best seats you could ask for right on the water and able to watch the sunset. Each course was absolutely delicious we couldn't have picked a better place the ambiance was very romantic and I can't wait to spend many more special occasions here!

Bon Appétit has been our family Christmas tradition for several years. This seaside setting is a relaxing and beautiful setting for any special occasion. While a bit pricey, the food and service are always top notch. Unlike some high end restaurants, portions here are sure to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites.

Our Fiftieth Anniversary was a very special occasion to us. Many years previously, we had dined here with exceptional food and fantastic service! Since my husband had selected a specific area to be seated in and told the person ahead of time it was our Golden Anniversary, we thought we would be treated accordingly. For the amount of money spent, we could have had a better rack of lamb elsewhere and the service wasn't up to their standards. My husband is a generous tipper regardless of service. Both of us left disappointed and won't be back. The Gulfside view wasn't worth the tradeoff of the food or service!

Great service! Attentive waiter! Since we came as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday we were placed in the back where there were many more groups that were way too loud. The mixed drinks were awful. They tasted more like soda. Stick to the wine list. The food was great!

A beautiful ocean side atmosphere with exceptional seafood. The sole was cooked to perfection and was de boned table side. The coconut cream pie was light and textured with coconut shavings…I will be back!

It’s the ideal spot to enjoy scenic views of the sunset or stroll through their exclusive guest pier. We had a great dinner, and we enjoyed the Lobster Bisque, Lazy Man’s Lobster, and chicken Caesar salad. For dessert, we had coconut cream pie with a cappuccino which was a delectable combination. The great food and picturesque view made our dinner a memorable one.

It is a great local place right on the Intercoastal Waterway that has an atmosphere worth another visit. The scenery is amazing. The service is very friendly & professional. Grace was an absolutely great server! Very attentive & kind! I'd say the only thing that needs a little bit of improvement is the food. It's not horrible, and I don't have an answer to exactly what it is to improve. However, it's just missing something. I still highly recommend this location for anyone!

Had the most incredible dining experience at Bon Appetit in Dunedin last night! The views are breathtaking from every table, and the service was impeccable (thank you, Michael, for taking care of our party of 8!). We started with the Seafood Tower and it was a huge crowd pleaser. I started with an apple martini and it was perfectly balanced and delicious (not overly sweet like some places!). For my main course I had the beef tenderloin tips and a Caesar salad. I ate every bite, it was that good! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone--it will not disappoint!

Bon Appetit Restaurant is an oceanfront restaurant located in Dunedin, Florida that boasts a breathtaking view. It's no surprise that it was voted the best waterfront restaurant in Tampa Bay. Established in 1976, this restaurant has been providing fine French cuisine for over four decades. The restaurant's name is literally translated to "Enjoy your food," and we certainly did. My wife ordered the dover sole, which was sautéed lightly in lemon butter and deboned tableside. My wife thoroughly enjoyed it. I opted for my favorite French dish, the Bouillabaisse, which was one of the best presentations of this dish that I have ever seen. The mixed seafood, including shrimp, mussels, scallops, and Florida grouper, was cooked in a saffron & garlic fumet with a French baguette & saffron aioli. The dish was beautifully presented and had a wonderful taste. The only minor criticism I have is that there were slightly more diced potatoes than I expected. To complement the dish, I enjoyed a glass of chilled, crispy, and full-bodied Chardonnay. Our evening at Bon Appetit was truly memorable, and the service was great, thanks to a friendly waiter from Hungary who reminded me of some of my Hungary colleagues and friends. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and company of our good old friends. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience with a stunning view, Bon Appetit Restaurant and Bar is definitely worth a visit.

What an epic eatery!!! Bon Appetit-TINA meets greets and seats you! Then Vanessa brings you cocktails and a scrumptious menu to choose from. Between the foodgasms and the sunset this place has it all. Free parking in their lot too. Definitely recommend this place for all your foodgasm needs :)

Went here for dinner, beautiful location in the harbor, had the best French onion soup I ever had. Crab cakes, tuna sushi all were tremendous. Very professional and friendly staff. Can easily have a nice meal by sharing several apps. Also had a perfect Tito’s martini and creme brûlée to finish a great dinner.

Fantastic restaurant that we just chose off the map while driving around. Absolutely first-rate cuisine. Different dining options depending on your mood. More casual dining outside of More formal table settings and atmosphere inside. A definite must if you're in Dunedin and looking for a top quality menu.

My wife and I plus another couple had dinner here. For me, the food is 4 star. However, my friend says it was the best grouper he has ever eaten. I had duck, 1 of us had a seafood stir fry, my friend had the scallops. So all in all it was good, but my duck was a little overson done.

Beautiful sunset after an amazing dinner. Our server was Alberto and I don’t think we’ve had anyone better anywhere! He recommended the grouper and we also had the 8 oz filet. Everything was cooked to perfection. Order the cucumber salad if it doesn’t come with your meal, it’s delicious. Will definitely go back next time we’re in Dunedin.

You can never go wrong choosing this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal the food is excellent and the service is impeccable. You have a beautiful view of the water and you can watch the sun go down on the dock or at your seat. If you want to impress that certain someone this the place. The dress code is smart casual. All though there are some people that dress like Neanderthals.

We are spending a month in the area so we have visited Dunedin a couple of times yet never had the chance to eat at this restaurant. However it is an establishment we wanted to visit as it is right on the water with a nice covered outdoor patio and with a refined ambiance. Today we finally had the chance to eat here. We were very fortunate that we arrived right before the sunset, which is a busy time, and were able to be seated immediately at a perfect seat in their covered outdoor patio with the best view of the water and of the sunset. The restaurant is large inside, and it looked a little more serious ambiance in there. Our server was Billy, who was funny and attentive. We started with some wine. They have a select wine list yet limited options by the glass. My husband ordered the three course special with the grilled salmon. He decided on the house salad instead of the soup, and it was a good sized salad with nice fresh mixed greens. The salmon was cooked perfectly, juicy, tender and flavorful. He ordered the mini key lime pie for dessert which was nothing memorable. I ordered the bouillabaisse, which was well prepared, with a nice variety of seafood and a good amount of it. The broth was full of flavor yet light, perfect to enjoy with the miniature baguette that comes with this dish. We will gladly come back to try other dishes, especially that they have the best location with a refined but not stuffy ambiance

Love this restaurant! One of the best if not thee best place to catch a sunset while u eat on Florida’s west coast. The main lobster roll is always fresh and delicious. I always get the octopus is soft and tender and very tasty. Cocktails are great and usually there is live music on the weekends. They have a separate bar just off the outside tables that is usually full. u can get food there too. If the restaurant is full. You can usually catch some dolphins in the bay. It’s really gorgeous.

My wife and I were in town for a concert and decided to try Bon Appetit for dinner. It was way better than we expected! The pictures don’t do it justice. Our server, Cameron, was outstanding. She was personable, professional, and experienced. We started with the Escargot. After delicious house salads, we both had the 8 oz. Lobsters. It was fabulous! After dinner treats were the little desserts in the shot glasses. Love those! Oh, did I mention the live piano music, and the table for two on the water with the beautiful sunset?!! We look forward to visiting again soon.

I live in the area and a friend suggested eating there on this gorgeous Saturday afternoon. DO NOT waste your money. Extremely pricey. We had a rude waiter that wasn’t aware of how the meat was cooked (medium—rare- well done). Never came to table to refill water glasses during whole meal. Manager offered us free wine or dessert. We declined. Can’t believe no offer to discount our improperly cooked meals was made. A bird kept swooping down on my table grabbing food off my plate. Miserable experience. There are great places like the Palm Pavilion in Clearwater Beach overlooking the gulf. Less pricey, great service, and good food. I’ll never take my out of town guests here EVER!!!! I’d rate a minus five if there was that option. I’ve never written a bad review before in my life. But this was upsetting

Yes, one star. Was this the worst dining experience I've ever had? No. Was it awful in its own right? Absolutely. From the over cooked lamb to the flavorless bouillabaisse. The dinner rolls should have been the dead give away as they were premade frozen rolls from a bag. The waitress was never around, forgot everything, and while apologetic, did little to make up for the numerous mistakes made. The french onion soup was really good , honestly one of the best I've had in a while but the over cooked lamb was shocking. I can't in good conscience recommend this place. Maybe I went on a bad night but I've been to places like this before during good times and I'm fairly sure that the only reason this place is rated so well is location and the illusion of fancy. Save your time and money by going somewhere else. Your stomach, and your wallet, will thank you.

Fantastic views and great food in a dated seventies restaurant environment. It is inside a Best Western Hotel and the devote reflects it. It seems to be heated toward hosting weddings. Still the food is great and the views can't be beat. I recommend trying and if the fresh seafood.

This restaurant has a split personality, which is not a bad thing! Inside is classic continental cuisine with white tablecloths and attentive service. The food is always good, drinks always a full pour, service spot on. Outside is basically a waterside bar/ bistro. Gorgeous sunsets, full bar (again, generous pour), better than average food options, and one of the nicest casual waterfront settings in the area. It's an easy walk to the shops of Downtown Dunedin. Highly recommend.

I called the restaurant a month in advance and stated I was proposing on NYE. They went above and beyond. We arrived early but the made special accommodations for my finance and I by not having new patrons on the deck. Slowly we were the only ones left. Between the fireworks over the water, the lights on the deck, and ocean breeze everything was perfect. The food was great and our server Courtney was the best! This was recommended to me from a friend in Oregon and I live in Virginia. Thank you Bon Appetit for everything and making our night special! You are the best!

We waited 20 minutes at the bar before they took our drink order. We ordered our second (and last) drink and they never brought it to us. It was almost comical. Everyone around us was very disappointed by their service. Really poor! Amazing views, great location.

Service and good are top drawer. I appreciate the safety measures being taken seriously. We ate on the beautiful deck at sunset. Delightful.

I went to the restaurant twice . First at lunch to check out the place, and the view , Rob the manager and Kadon our server won us over . Then for dinner , We had the MVP of servers , Megan! She was attentive , made awesome recommendations , and delivered in personality and service . She made the night that much enjoyable . Thank you Rob for allowing us to eat on the deck. It was like having a private party right on the water .

My 93 year old mothers favorite spot. It never dissapoints! We had a table outside and had amazing service and wonderful food. Shrimp and salmon/crab appetizers were a favorite amongst 7 of us. Great ambience and they had live music that was very good.

I feel you pay for the view. Went their for lunch today and both mine and my friends food left much to be desired. Although they recooked mine it was not worth the effort to resend it back. I could have spent my money on a much better option of restaurants.

The food was amazing. The oysters were unbelievably good. And as you can see nothing beats the view. You must make a reservation and outdoor is on a first come basis. Get there 30 mins earlier because of parking and traffic.

Delicious food, yummy drinks, impeccable views, and great service. They also had pictures of their entire menu which made the selection exciting and easy. I wish more places did that. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and will be back.

It’s a nice place, the interior is out dated.. I was disappointed in how small the menu was, also the cook didn’t understand medium rare.. my steak came out with a pulse. The oysters were good, but when you served bread and butter, the butter shouldn’t be cold at a 5 star restaurant. Also the bread sucked. My husband’s beef tips looked like cat food. 3 stars for our awesome server and the piano man.

Had the Ahi Tuna. This was amazing, just a touch on the grill and served with Avocado. Hudson Valley Foie Gras was cooked perfectly. The steam muscles came with a delicious sauce. The snails were decent, not the best we have had. The Bouillabaisse was absolutely delicious. We sat in a glass corner with full water views - amazing. Our server, who has been there 33 years, was very nice and a top-level server. Very enjoyable experience.

We were delighted to receive a gift certificate. Service by Sher was exceptional. Food was incredible. The table side deboning of the Dover Sole was perfection. Special thanks to Sher for being so accommodating to my father who is extremely hard of hearing. Best dinner in town!

Excellent fine dining experience out on the covered dock overlooking the marina and open water. Excellent service. The French onion soup was excellent. It was one of the best I've had in a while. We tried the escargot, and it was very good. It was prepared differently, but very good. The Cobb salad was fresh and delicious. The fish was deboned and served tableside. Great experience.

A wonderful restaurant for a fancier and more elegant atmosphere. If you like seafood you will really enjoy it here. The view is beautiful and the crab cakes are a must!!! Also, they have a nice selection of mocktails and alcohol free wine for those that prefer not to drink.

Absolutely spectacular. The views are pristine, the food was incredible and the service as well. I had the duck and my wife had the grouper. She shared some oysters with a glass of wine as appetizer as well. Highly recommend.

The service was impeccable. Kevin really cared for us. His recommendations were spot on. The cauliflower piccata was divine. The chicken in wine was so tender and flavorful. But my favorite was a side of sweet potato cake! We enjoyed the private sunset! I am sure it was just for us.
