At first arrival-less than stellar direction from staff. Very little customer service "feel good" from the front desk- but it's a race track not Starbucks. First race was great! Super fast, almost scary fast for my 12 y/o son. Still very little organization after the first race from the troop of 16-18 y/o employees running the show and 1 guy over 40. Second race wasn't a race since it started raining inside the track in 3 places. Not dripping but small waterfalls inside. Obviously, they slow the cars down electronically so no one gets killed, but then they also simultaneously post signs that say they don't guarantee "full speed racing" and there are no refunds. Third race was the same except 5 places leaking onto the track now. They needed to rent hovercraft or boats at this point since the slick tires just spin out everywhere. The owners of this business should literally be ashamed that they still charge full price for you to cruise half speed. $148 dollars for 3 people for 3 races (really 1 race and 2 paced practice runs). Save your money and go to a business with a functional roof on a rainy day. Not impressed.

We really loved zooming around in those electric go-karts! But trust me, you need a good amount of muscle and energy to drive these things. It's a super fun thing to do with a group!

We enjoyed our ride but the staff is very withdrawn. Young people who seem to hate they jobs. No instruction give if you don't ask. It was our first time, so we would have loved some help instructions or directions. Overall fun spot.

Took my son as a surprise 9th birthday gift and he did two rounds 12 laps each and wanted to stay. The staff the guys directing my son and explaining everything to him were the best. I got the membership for him. Looking forward to taking him often. I walk-in right after when they were opening so my son was the only one driving.

My sons attended a birthday party at Tampa Grand Prix. The staff seemed ill prepared to handle the birthday party, and the cars were dying frequently during laps. Fortunately, my sons and I had a great time despite these issues. Fundamentally, it is a great time for the kids. Hopefully, the staff and management will improve so the kids can continue to enjoy the races.

So I would have given a 5 star except for a couple of things. First, if you pay for the 3 race package you have to wait between races instead of being able to complete all 3 races back to back. It stretches out the time you have to be at the place. Although there are two pool tables there in the lounge area, the cues are not good quality, the tables have some of the balls go into the place where the cue goes. Second, the cars are hard to steer making it more like a workout than a race.

Let the good times roll! Fantastic afternoon of fun and competition during winter break. Professional, friendly, and attentive staff. Plus, clean facility and restrooms. Ample parking too. A win all the way around.

Took my children here while on vacation in Tampa. The front desk staff could not have been less helpful. Barely acknowledge us as we approach the desk, could not hear a word one of them was saying, I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. And ALL of them were on their phones, the entire 2 hours we were there. If I were the owner of this place I would be embarrassed by this behavior. The back staff, the ones running the cars were all wonderful. They were helpful and accommodating. They made this whole experience a 4 star. Thank you for the great time you gave my kids.

We had a great time racing on July 4th. They have racing available for kids as well . There is a small cafeteria inside where you can grab pizza, burgers, fries and drink. A race includes 16 laps and takes around 10-12 minutes to complete. It would be more fun if you go in a big group 🙂

Great time, friendly staff. Only problem was that on one of the races my car wasn't fully charged and I ended up driving slower than everyone else.

K1 racing in Tampa was great. We went on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded. First come first serve. We purchased 2 races and it was six of us. They had 2 tracks so as each group went they would alternate so people aren't waiting. The staff was amazing and so nice especially because it was our first time there. If 2 races cost 47.00 (rounding off) and then you pay 8.00 (rounding off) for the membership which includes the head over mask which you have to have to wear under the helmet for hygienic reasons and also includes a free race on your birthday. Each race is 12 laps or so. If you purchase multiple races they will have you complete one then wait while other racers in the Que are called to keep things fair. Then when that group is done (depending how busy) your called back up for your next race. It was awesome and being that it was my first time in an indoor race track, I had the time of my life beating my husband in the track and drifting even though technically your not supposed to but it just happened that way...lol I highly recommend to take the family or just the kids. A++ all the way for High Octane fun!!?

This was so much fun! We went for a birthday and had a blast. It was nice to be fully indoors just in case of rain. They had a snack bar and some games to play as you wait. The line was not long to wait and the lunch price was great. The pit crew was friendly and do ask you follow the posted rules. We watched other parties doing what they wanted to do and the pit crew had to keep turning the cars on slow mode and fixing spin outs. Please be mindful as they want you to enjoy your experience. You put yourself in slowing down and loosing those laps once you want to act foolish. It messes up your score card. The cars are so fun and FAST!! 🔥 The only thing I suggest is using slower kid cars on the smaller track as the adult cars go so fast that they will make your back and hand muscles hurt afterwards. Overall, this is a great time for an hour or two.

Really cool place!! Fast cars!! Although I didn't like that I noticed they turn up and down the speed depending on how many people are on the track and who. Buy my kids had a great time anyway!!

We held an incredible celebration for our employees at the Tampa Bay Grand Prix. I spoke with Jose a couple months and he was helpful and organized in getting us setup for the event. We opted to rent the entire location. I am telling you all, incredible. We had about 50 people at the event, mostly employees with family and friends as well. Everyone had a wonderful time whether racing or not. We played pool, danced about, ate, and most importantly we raced like crazy. The pit crew was fantastic. Will and Lukas ran the show and there were several others out on the tracks making sure we had a blast and stayed safe. Everyone working made us feel welcome and ready to help us have fun all the while having fun themselves! These karts are wicked fast and everyone who wanted to race had their fix of racing. Highly recommend and I hope this becomes an annual event for us!!!! Thank you Tampa Bay Grand Prix <3

Fun date night spot! Clean space and friendly staff. The tracks were good too and I liked how they printed your stats after for your. My boyfriend smoked me but I did pretty dang good. We will be back. Only complaint is getting signed in at the front desk took longer than I thought it should.

It was great. The staff was on point with all their directions, and the process went smoothly. My brother wanted to try it because it has been years. Wish the wheel could extend closer to the driver. I'm 6'1, so my legs were in the way when it came to turning the wheel. 😂😂😂😂😂 the experience was very exciting 👍🏾👍🏾 DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE CAMERA OPTION TO RECORD THE RACE!!!! BEST FEATURE FOR COMPETITIVE RACING.

My brother decided to take us here for a good time. We were not aware that reservations could be made, so we were considered “walk-in”. We were told 11/2- 2 hour wait. We ended up waiting 30 minutes. The one thing I would say was an issue was…we did not know we needed to be in the race area once our names were seen on the screen in the sign in area. This was not told to us. The gentleman in the track stated that they were about to forfeit our race because we were not in the race track area while they were calling us ( you can not hear them calling you in the checkin area) so be aware of that. Other than that, our party of 6 had an amazing time!

We had very great experience here. My son was first time rider for go carting and was scared to do it. Lucas at the Grand Prix persuaded him and he did it and we are thankful for his empathy and support for helping my son and our family.👍

Company rented out the track for our Christmas party. We had a blast! Carts are no joke, super fast, evenly matched. Track is well laid out with opportunities to pass and top speed straights. Gas, brake, gas, brake, concentrate, concentrate. Raced until I was blue in the face and worn out. This place really has a winning formula! Hand made pizza was surprisingly very good! Staff was very friendly and our race director, Michael I think was his name, was awesome! (Good luck with your new baby!) Will definitely be gathering up some of my driver friends for some real competition! This is real cart racing!!!

Fast electric cars in 2 tracks, one of which accommodates 8 drivers and the other 7 drivers. Might have to wait a long time if you do not have reservation. The cars though fast are a little hard to control. Plenty of parking outside and this place gets overwhelmed on the weekends. You can play pool or have a go on the arcade machines while you wait for your time to drive. Giving it 4 stars because you have to spend $19 for a single race which just lasts around 8-10 min.

Went here for a birthday party, great attendance. It is a really cool place for any race car fan. While you are waiting, you can play arcade games or pool. Wonderful place for both kids and adults to hang out. Highly recommended.

This isn't an easy one to review. While we had a great time during our 1 race session during our workday, we could tell that this was probably an exception to the norm. Many reviews mention the below standard level of customer service. To which, I would say is spot on. The young man working the front counter had zero care or concern and zero customer service skills. Our safety presenter did an excellent job and her added bits of humor were nice. Equipment and track seemed to be ok, but it wasn't raining while we were there. I can see where this location would be a challenge on a busy weekend afternoon or evening. If we go back, it would be during a mid-day work break for a quick race. Can't see attempting multiple races during peak periods.

An incredible experience! Carts were extremely fast and challenging. Not your average go kart experience! At the end of each race a printed analysis of the metrics of the race are made available to you. That part was really cool.

Prepaying and choosing a time to run is a waste of time if you have the notion that will get you on the track. Arriving at 10:30 got us in line at the door, but inside, there was great confusion as to what line to get into. The young lady stared at the computer screen like it was something she had never seen before. Our grandson was fifth in line and it took over an hour for him to be told that he had to register for an account first. After that, he stood for another hour to get back in line. Sadly, three adults left to go register in front of him and then came back to their children who never left the line. Other employees came to assist, but it was still slow going. After we finally got inside, the employees who ran the track were terrific! However, it was 3:40 when our grandson finished and as we hadn't had lunch, eating took priority over our other plans. As much fun as he had racing, he told us he never wanted to come back again and told me we should have read other reviews first, so we would have known about the poor customer experience.

Tampa Bay Grand Prix is an absolute blast! The karts are lightning fast, the track is challenging and well-designed, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you're an experienced racer or a first-timer, you're sure to have a great time at this go-kart track. I can't recommend it enough!

Went for the first time in years and while it was fun there are no instructions/directions. When asking the front desk girls they sent us to the tablets but were no help whatsoever and very rude. Even as teens, you don’t like your job then leave. The guys in the back were nice and helped out when my husband asked if my kid and himself can go together.

Amazing go kart racing, fast karts, friendly staff, an amazing time. Everything was quick, not much waiting around, quick and easy to get racing. Super fun time, definitely recommend.

Great time I believe it says 40 min but that's total time to get your gear, wait, and drive. It's roughly 15-20 min & you get like 14 laps I think...go karts are fast and you need strength to steer, I wouldn't recommend a child under 10 if you are planning on going here!!!

Had an amazing time. This place is well worth the 💰. If you are new here, I recommend purchasing the three race ticket. By the time you get to the third race, you will feel comfortable with this experience. This is a place you will want to come back to.

Keep out if you have any plans or don't like feel like a garbage. Staff absolutely sure they are have no any responsibility to talk to you and lying to you about waiting time. They are promising me a 50 minutes waiting and I am already 2 hours waiting. They are turn music extremely loud and keep three yards away, than ignored you. No matter if they got a carts ready to race they are waste your time.

I cannot begin to express my disappointment in what we experienced tonight. We booked a birthday party with a private room for my son. We paid a deposit over a week ago. When we arrived there was a ton of people already at the faculty that were waiting to ride. They had been waiting for 3-4 hours, and many were upset and complaining. The front staff assured us that we would not have to wait as we booked a party in advance. We waited almost 1 hour for our ride, and the staff could not figure out who our party was. So we had to go out there 2 more times before they issued us the ride cards. The manager told us there was be a significant wait, but the front desk woman said we would have a 5-10 minute wait. It was beyond disorganized. There was no party host in the room at all, and I finally complained again, and they said we would be next. We finally got in the carts at 4:50. 1 hour and 50 minutes after we got there. Once the kids were in the carts, the owner of the faculty and staff decided it was a good time to close the track to do some repairs to the AC system. They told us our kids would be in sitting the cars for 3-30 minutes as they did repairs. I got upset, and told them we wanted to leave and get a refund. They decided to let us continue the ride instead of waiting for the repairs, but the fact that they thought that was acceptable is beyond me. By that point, the whole crowd of people on the sidelines was upset and telling them they wanted refunds, and they said no refunds, but they would give them credit for next time they come back. Keep in mind these people had waited 3 plus hours at this point. We initially paid for party with 3 rides, but could only do two rides since we got on the track so late. The front staff was unorganized, and the go cart staff was great but they were stressed and stuck in the middle. The go cart tracks were fun once they got to ride, but I can never recommend this place for a party after what happened to us. I would suggest if you choose to go to this facility to be prepared for extremely long wait times and employees that are not organized at all. Be prepared for no refunds if your wait is longer than they quote you.

Karts were really fun! Place was cool, they had upstairs party rooms and a concession stand. Very Central Florida-esque. Bathroom didn’t have toilet paper or paper towels though.

My 11 year old and I did the 2 races together. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our first race went well. Our second race we were out with a bunch of teenagers that were repeatedly bumping us on purpose. I got hot from the rear so bad I got a instant headache and my 11 year old was scared the whole time. Not sure why they weren't made to get off the track.

Clean venue with friendly staff. Great job of effectively running junior races with little time between sessions. One area of improvement would be minimizing the variability between the junior karts. One session had lap times in the 28s, followed by the 23s, and then followed by the 25s, without traffic and with little discernible difference other than the karts themselves. Nonetheless, we had a great time and will be back. Thanks! Went back last week and Greg did a great job sharing his pedal and line tips.
