We stayed here this President’s Day Weekend. Staff is nice, but not enough. If you need something you have to go get it yourself at the front desk. We had a weird smell coming out of the drain in the sink, like rotten eggs, complained about it, were promised they would fix it and nothing was done. Room cleaning is done every other day, which sucks, especially if we are paying 300+ a night. Not worth the stay. Room was smelly. Not a good experience.

Taylor at the front desk truly made the stay. The room was beautiful, but expensive. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast, but without the exceptional customer service provided by the first person you see, Taylor, it's just another nice hotel. Truly she made it exceptional. Thank you Taylor. I'll be back solely because of your high level of service.

Rooms are very nice. However they light up the outside of the hotel and the black out curtains do not block all of the lights. There are things close to the hotel but no good walkways to get there so you have to drive the 1/4 mile. One thing that did bother me was that the front desk staff always parked thier cars right in front making it a bit tight for you to load and unload at the door. Especially at night when the front desk staff parked right under the canopy.

We had to stay here after a last minute change in a sports meet and this was one of the closest spots still available. I was worried from some of the other reviews but honestly, this hotel was a lot nicer than I expected! The rooms were a great size and very clean with great AC (some hotels have super humid rooms but this room was not at all). The front desk staff was also friendly during check in. We also particularly liked the seperated bathroom from shower especially since we had kids and it was nice to not have it occupied at all times. My only "complaint" though it wasn't a big deal was there were hardly any towels for the pool, so the kids had to share one, but not a huge deal. The pool itself was nice and the kids enjoyed it!

This hotel is amazing, the staff is amazing I don't remember the staffs names I wish I did because I would have gave them a great rating also by name. My family and I was very comfortable here. The pool was very clean I highly recommend coming the prices are very fare and there breakfast was very good and different which I enjoyed very much. The manager here has done an outstanding job training his crew the manager is also very kind and very professional if I could give this hotel a 10 star 🌟 rating I would!!! The rooms are very modern, clean and the entire staff works very hard corporate should do something very special for this hard working crew!!

Room was clean but humid and warm when we checked in. Breakfast was less than par to most Springhill suites... a Marriott hotel. The parking lot was very dark when I arrived with young children and I did not feel comfortable in the parking lot.

My family and I stayed here for a week while my mom was in the hospital. I couldn't have asked for a better lodging experience as my family and I were going through such a difficult time. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Delores: thank you for your kindness during our stay. She made sure we were taken care of the entire week and was so friendly and compassionate. Rooms were very clean and the perfect set up for a family staying in a room together - 2 queens with a comfortable trundle sofa bed, desk, shower room, and separate toilet/sink room. It's in a location which is very quiet. Breakfast every morning was convenient and lobby area was nice to work from.

It was just okay? After I booked and read the reviews and I tried to have an open mind. Driving to the hotel, thought we got lost because it’s so deep in. The front desk associate checking us in, was a sweetheart. We were on the 5th floor..so we get in the elevator and it makes some strange sound when it stops. We open the room and it has a real off smell. I’m assuming it’s whatever they use to clean or the carpet is old. I wasn’t comfortable being there. Breakfast was okay too, saw someone eating a banana and I wanted one too but they were all gone. Eggs were BEYOND salty. I can’t complain much because breakfast is complementary after all. Overall the stay was just an okay stay.

We had a very nice stay, the room was clean and well stocked. The lady at checkin was not very friendly (I feel like she was annoyed the she had to stop eating her Doritos to check us in). The breakfast bar was very nice, clean and lots of choices. This location is kind of tucked in but there appeared to be some construction happening next door.

We were late arriving from Orlando and had gotten lost. We called the front desk and a gentleman gave me perfect directions to help us arrive to the hotel. Once we arrived (10pm) we were greeted by Doug. He was outstanding! We thanked him for the perfect directions and his hospitality. We ending up booking for 2 nights instead of just the one just because of Doug. He was that welcoming. Breakfast was included and it was a hot breakfast at that! Delicious. After a long day at Busch Gardens we soaked in the pool. It was perfect! Comfortable beds, great room layout and extremely clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Excellent location and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. If we could give it 10 stars we would.

Pro: The room was beautiful. The location is perfect. Con: The walls are so thin we heard a child, in the room above us, crying and vomiting at 3am. The floors in the halls need to be cleaned. There are stains everywhere. The pool is green, with low water and rust on the bars. High cost for all the work it needs.

No maintenance on premises, room heat not controllable, set for 90 degrees. Did manage to get a moderate amount of AC to help regulate it. There was no regular coffee at the breakfast. There was an egg bake that was not cooked fully. The potatoes were coldwere cold there were no waffles or pancakes either. Yes it's breakfast included yes included in the room cost. I'm with a Marriott Titanium member who is very disappointed in this Marriott.

Alba? Alva? Not sure what her name is but I didn’t appreciate how she was talking to inez? or ynez?, very sweet lady and you can tell she’s a hard worker. The way Alba spoke to inez in front of people was annoying! Alba asked Inez why she was doing the breakfast and not cleaning and you can tell inez does not speak very good English and was trying to tell alba that someone else told her to be there and Alba told her “I’m not talking about them I’m talking about YOU” really rude for no damn reason and it pissed me off. Alba seems like a bully and is very unprofessional. I see it all the time, a lot of people like alba talk down on people who can’t speak very good English, but there is not official language here in this country. It’s really disgusting. I’m pretty sure she speaks to her that way all the time!! The hotel and breakfast was very nice. Very clean. I feel like the staff like the front desk could smile a little more and be more inviting. But after the way alba was with inez I will not be back. People know who and who not to pick on.

General manager Tracy Polo was disrespectful, unprofessional and racist/prejudice. She was unwilling to help or assist. She lied making false statements, accusing her guests of a name calling, when she wasn't even present at the time of check-in. Tracy Polo displayed the utmost disrespectful attitude, towards myself and when my "white" female friend came to my defense, she smiled at her, meanwhile grimacing at me. She never asked me me for my interpretation of the encounter only that she believes everything her employees say. This was the worst encounter with a Marriott property I've ever had. This manager Tracy Polo should not hold a position overseeing a property, due to her blatant disrespectful attitude and willingness to Lie on her guests

WiFi is worse than a 3rd world country. Amenities aren't good. Free breakfast is barely passable as real food. The location isn't great. Thankfully the staff are very nice.

Clean room and very comfy. The sofa also is an extra bed! Like the bathrooms. One of the best hotels we have been to.

Great little hotel. Nothing fancy on the outside, but inside is very well kept and nicely outfitted. Plenty of space in the rooms. It’s also at the end if a road so zero traffic, very quiet. Would stay here again.

I was so pleased with the clean rooms, tasty free breakfast and pleasant helpful staff. Best price I have found for a hotel this nice in Tampa. Our family will definitely be back. We saved so much money.

I stayed here with my boyfriend, and cat for about 7 days & I have to say, this was the best stay I’ve ever had at a hotel. From the start, before even checking in and just calling to ask about early check in, they were so helpful and kind. I can’t remember the womans name who helped us, she is a tall dark skinned woman with short braids & I imagine she was the manager or something but WOW I loved her, so kind and fun to chat with and went above and beyond to help us out with some issues with our members account. Stay here if you want a clean, quiet stay! Oh and breakfast was on point 😋

Came here with my Mom and we really enjoyed our stay! I’ve never stayed somewhere with nicer staff, Dolores was especially amazing and made us feel welcomed. Also great breakfast and overall very clean. Would 100% stay here again!

It's really a nice place to stay! Rooms are very pretty and clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They offer nice assorted selections for breakfast, good coffee and creamers, juices, and, of course, milk. If given the chance, I would definitely stay here again!

Please make sure they don’t lie to you about cleaning services. When I checked in they tell you they will give you housekeeping well I stayed there for 3 nights and with 3 kids and no new towels, and no housekeeping was done. I complained in to Tracy the manager and she called me as a liar and that I never requested for anything. This is unbelievable. Yes I requested the use of the cameras because she called me a liar. She kept saying I was looking for compensation but I wasn’t but because we are another race they think we are always looking for it. So I am writing in my review because I want to make sure anyone who is from another country are be careful with this type of treatment. Don’t stay there if you want a good service.

I normally don't leave reviews on places but it felt necessary this time around. The bathrooms in the hotel room I stayed in were terrible. Starting with the obvious: the area with the toilet and the area with the shower are two separate rooms, a little inconvenient but I can deal with it. What made me the angriest though was the shower. The inner curtain was shorter than the outer curtain and went above the shower wall meaning when you shower water gets all over the floor. By the time I finished half the floor in the bathroom was flooded. The hotel itself is fine I guess but the shower made me angry.

Friendly front desk staff. The AC in the room did not get too cold despite being on low, but at least it wasn't completely broken. The room had a bit of a strange smell, reminiscent of clothes that were left sitting in the washer for too long. Very comfortable bed, though. Plenty of space in the room as well.

We have hosted our class for the National Indoor Air Quality Institute twice at this location. The sales manager, Kathy Zboray has provided us with exceptional service for our events and accommodations. Kathy goes over and beyond and is prompt and efficient with reservation and set processes and provides additional support when needed. All of the staff was accommodating, professional and polite. The guest rooms have always been very clean and comfortable. We cannot express enough our appreciation to Kathy and the staff at this Springhill Suites location. Thank you for providing us and our students with a pleasurable and valuable experience!

Arrived and waited for 20 minutes before we were able to check-in. None of my preferences were followed. We asked for foam pillows, and the person attending the front-desk said it would take some time but they would be delivered. No pillows were delivered. No hot water in our room, so we could only take a freezing cold shower. I guess the loyalty means nothing, as this continues to happen with Marriott. Really getting so frustrated with these bad experiences.

The staff at this hotel is incredible! Every person we met from the front desk staff, to the maintenance guy to the cleaning crew was friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Jet for being extra awesome! Overall the hotel itself is very nice and we are definitely more likely to stay here again due to the friendly atmosphere.

Stayed here while working in the area, it was a great stay. The decor is really amazing. Rooms are spacious & offer lots of storage space. Great location, close to the highways, all the shopping, dining in the area. Great staff service, breakfast offers A LOT OF CHOICES/OPTIONS from hot/cold cereals, yogurt with toppings, multiple types of breakfast sandwiches, breakfast shuffles, coffee, teas, juices & they even have soy milk option. Would definitely stay here again when in the area

I did not end up staying as I had to cancel my reservation. Unfortunately, Travelocity failed to process my cancellation. Naturally the hotel charged a no show fee. After squandering with Travelocity support, they told me they would call the hotel and explain it was their error the cancellation failed, so as to request a no show waiver. Travelocity did no such thing. Travelocity made no such attempt. Travelocity was dishonest and disrespectful. FORTUNATELY, I turned to the hotel directly (which I should have done from the start). They were a pleasure to deal with. The manager helped me almost immediately and, like a genuine professional, reviewed the facts and refunded the no show fee. Very impressed by the professionalism and courtesy displayed by SpringHill Tampa North.

Friendly staff, always greets us when we come or go. Two big negatives though: the elevator is slow and one is broken; the breakfast is sketchy at best (I went to get a bagel and it had a spot of mold on it, then I noticed several bagels did, after mentioning to the front desk nothing was done about this.) So highly recommend going to the CFA down the street, or just skipping breakfast all together.

I had booked three rooms arriving Wednesday July 20 and departing July 21. We called earlier attempting to cancel one of the rooms, but the lady at the front desk stated that she did not know how to do it and we had to follow up with a supervisor. We were at Busch Gardens, we came late and very tired. We were three adults and 5 kids all under 15. When we arrived to the hotel around 9:30 pm, the lady was not very welcoming. In reality she was extremely rude, first did offer me my gift for being a platinum member, then stated that one of my booking was a third party booking because I had used points and it was not the same as a regular booking. Told me that we were too many for two rooms (each room is up to 5 people), follow by if you make any noise and we receive a noise complaint you will have to leave because they had zero tolerance for noise. Everyone in our group had been quite at the time. When I asked if there was a warning first, I was told that the call was the warning. There was another couple and she failed to mentioned the noise, and zero tolerance. She gave us our key to the room, while walking towards the elevator, she screamed that the breakfast was till 9 am. We arrived at the rooms 406 and 408. The rooms were spacious, but there was no garbage can at the bathroom. When I call the front, the same lady said she did not know and while I was talking hang up the phone on me. We needed towels went downstairs and we were told that we needed to wait till 11 pm for the new worker to get towels. At the same a new family a couple with a teen came and there was no mentioning of the noise, the being kick out and zero tolerance. Finally the new worker came after 11, we finally got towels and she successfully canceled the third room. If I am not mistaken, her name was Benina. Thursday July 21, we woke up to go to breakfast, no complimentary buffet and hot breakfast. It was 8:15 and there was no oatmeal, no eggs, no potatos, no bacon, no pancakes, no waffles, no Nutella, but instead bagels and two items wrapped in plastic that were warm. Nothing like the pictures! I go to the front desk and I asked about the hot breakfast, a new lady states that it is what they served in every Marriott and there was no longer a hot breakfast. That everyone does it that way. Then she went on to said that the menu and rules came from corporate raising her voice. I said that it was only a question and there was no need for her to raise her voice and be defensive. I asked to speak to a manager, I was told her was in a meeting and a couple of minutes later came out. Jerry the manager was polite and apologetic and stated that he was going to provide s better training. However, I felt that I was treated differently, was it because I was Hispanic or because I was casually dressed from the parks. Why do I need to feel uncomfortable in a place where I am paying? Why was I treated differently? Why was I not immediately given towels? I was there when other people checked in and there were none of the same commentaries. Hotel pretty empty but no upgrades, view to parking lot. Not what they advertise as to buffet breakfast. I will not come back to hotel.

I booked for 6 nights and only stayed 4. I was traveling for work, but with my family. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly, ( no greetings or eye contact, disgruntled attitudes) unhelpful and didn't seem to care about my concerns regarding futon being dirty or not having enough towels for a family of 5. I had billing issues and every time I asked for information my total changed (nomatter what price you book for and agree to, it sky rockets on weekends, although weekends are chaos, loud, obnoxious and the place is TRASHED). This experience was Maximum effort on my behalf and less than enjoyable. House keeping was kind and friendly, the walking trails are nice but I wouldn't stay here again, not even as a last resort.

The rooms were very nice. We had a King suite that came with a refrigerator. I liked the fact that the shower was separate from the toilet and there were 2 sinks. Beds are super cozy

I wish I would have read the reviews before paying $309 for this room! It smelled AWFUL, as if someone had a BM and didn’t flush the toilet. It was clear that while the room “looked” clean it wasn’t very clean. The carpet felt questionable and the bed linens didn’t feel as though they underwent a deep wash. The noise from the shower kept me up most of the night-some sort of knocking noise that I still have not been able to pinpoint. Maybe the pipes. I have no idea! One elevator was broken and the hotel was packed with various youth sporting event guests. And shame on me for not doing my research but we were not aware that this is a pet friendly hotel. We’re in the hallway when out of nowhere an unleashed dog comes running at us. “He doesn’t bite!” the up in age owner yelled as he unsuccessfully chased rocket dog to the end of the hallway. Alrighty then. Woke up and was greeted by a bunch of tiny ants in the shower portion of the bathroom (there is a sink and toilet in one area; a sink with counter and shower in a separate area). I had to use the prepackaged makeup remover wipes to kill them. As I typed this review, many more ants had come out, possibly to recover the bodies of the fallen. Spoke with the Ops Manager. She immediately offered me a $40 discount, which was both laughable and predictable. We were booked under a group block with a rate of $269/night. I was told I couldn’t have the group rate when I cancelled one night of our reservation, thus the $309 rate. So my “discount” was essentially the group rate they initially refused to honor. What a joke. We will never, ever, ever stay here again!

Nice place, a little off the beaten path, but really liked the location. Room was nice. Had everything we needed. What I found odd was that the bathroom was separated. Not a bad odd, sort of indifferent. Had never seen it in a hotel before. The shower and sink were in one room and the toilet and small sink were in another room. Side by side. All in the same hotel room. I guess it helps if someone is in the shower and you really need to use the bathroom. Maybe they're on to something! It was very clean, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast was awesome!! Waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, cereals....the normal. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Not sure why this hotel has good reviews. I’m very upset and is still here at this hotel as I’m typing this review with no choice but to be here. I’ve gave it a two star because the staff are pretty nice and the room designs are great. I’ve moved to 3 rooms within 24 hours. Checked in at 11p. First room had a lot of white looking insects on the table that I’ve discovered that following morning. Moved rooms with no problems. Came back to the hotel and seen a cockroach by the microwave area and another big cockroach exactly outside my door on the wall. Moved rooms again but this time the walls where the sofa is, are soooooo filthy aka dirty. I want to move rooms again but I’m just so tired of moving. The rooms all have this muggy, stinky smell to them. It’s spring break and many hotels are sold out. Plus the rooms are higher booking same day. I would be spending lots of money until my refund came back from this hotel so I’ve decided to stay sadly. But like it said, rooms are sold out anyways. I wish I could add the videos of the walls and the tiny insects. Lets not forget we take the stairs up and down because only one elevator works and there be a long wait all day until late night. Positive note, the shower pressure is amazing and stays hot. Spoke with a manager, and I’m told they have to investigate the rooms to make sure I didn’t bring anything in. I’m basically being victim blamed and not helped. A cockroach or tiny insects isn’t going to up and come out because y’all are in there investigating. Many people come in and out these hotels. Nasty people at that. So yea you’ll see bugs around here or there. I was very cool and calm about the situation up until the manager made it seem it may be me who’s brining the issue. Ooh, I guess I’m the one who put the dirt stains all over the walls huh. He said people don’t complain about bugs and I’ve been to a 3rd room. That’s victim blaming. Just because someone see something, doesn’t mean they are going to say something. So just because you haven’t heard anyone say anything about critters running around in their rooms, doesn’t mean there’s no critters running around in their room. The front desk person lied and said he told me he could give me two free nights but that’s not what he told me. He told Expedia he could give me two free nights but I would have to be gone by the next morning. He personally didn’t tell me anything other than he would pass the information down to the GM Tracey whom I’ve talked to about the first room. I would have been left this hotel if rooms weren’t sold out. These issues aren’t my fault. If they were, I wouldn’t be complaining and moving rooms. Shame on Springhill manager for saying he couldn’t help me until investigation clears, even with evidence and knowledge that hotels have issues with pest as many people come in and out.
