I read some reviews about Clearwater Beach Hotel before I booked. Mostly good, but a few oddball complaints about a few things. Don’t listen!! The hotel was great!! The room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping made up our bed and tidied every day. Bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby. We were right by the pool and you can’t hear what people are doing out there, just the lovely hum of the air conditioner which worked great. We were able to store our luggage before and after check out and use the pool until our pick up for the airport. Well … our flight was cancelled. I was ready to start crying and the man working the desk said” No tears tonight. We have room if you need it” Also, he looked for car rental phone numbers for us. We ended up getting a car and driving home. If your looking for a clean, comfy, friendly place to stay while your at Clearwater Beach look no further. We will be back.

We stayed in the 2 level building, in one of their 1 bedroom suites. Staff was friendly, room was pretty clean but very dated. This hotel very badly needs new light fixtures, furniture, and beds. Shower was pretty gross as well. Pretty decent location but as they say, you get what you pay for. We prob won't stay here again.

If you plan on getting any sleep at all, this is not the hotel for you. The beds were so uncomfortable and hard as a rock! The pillows were not even pillows as they were so flat it's like they had been used for the past 25 years already. Invest in some new pillows already! The noise from the street all night long only added to the lack of sleep. Place was clean but that's it. Location decent. I will never stay here again. Needs basic upgrades at a minimum.

This place is very clean, well maintained, and a great price for the location. The staff was very cordial, and one of the desk clerks was very welcoming and funny I don't know his name, but he said he was from Kansas. I would definitely return!

Absolutely amazing place to stay at Clearwater. Great location to everything, amazing and friendly staff, yes as some of the reviews state the rooms are dated however they are absolutely so clean. I’m the kind of person who checks books , crannies etc when I book a room. I don’t like surprise bugs or gross and this hotel proved to be very pristine. The view is so beautiful from either pool and most rooms. Walking is easy to anywhere. The ice cream shop on site was so yummy which was great for my 2 girls and well me too lol. The pools are super clean and the best part I have to say is that you would think it would be noisy for the location and it was not. We slept very well. Of course the beds were not your “ home” beds but they were still comfortable after a long day beaching and walking. Perks were that they provide dishes and silverware so no need for paper plates and stuff for snacks or cereal etc. cute little kitchen, nice area out your door to sit with your coffee. We had a pool side upper floor and was amazing in the eves. We will absolutely stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Thank you to the staff who were all so nice.

This hotel has a good location and I would have to say their bedding is very clean. AC works fine. The problem is it just doesn’t feel clean at all. The floors could use a good mopping and the bathroom already had hairs everywhere before using it. The drain looks old and rusty. The staff were helpful to provide more towels as requested which was nice of them. But these towels I found there is a stain on it. There was no fan in washroom and stains on the couches and chairs. Very old. Overall it was an okay stay and next time I hope to have more money to stay somewhere nicer.

Simply awful. Making the reservation on the phone with a younger guy overnight was the best part. The guy that goes by "tall tim" is a rude person. Rude from the beginning to the end. After spending an hour booking the room next door to family, it was all changed around. Rooms were very outdated and nasty, honestly. Pool closes early. Even has mold growing on the window will bright lights coming in at night! Air conditioning is also disgusting.

This hotel is really close to everything, a short walk to the beach. Our room was supposed to be a gulf view room, but they were overbooked, so we ended up with a king suite room. The room was nice and clean it has a large window for lots of natural light. It has a small kitchen with a fridge, coffee pot and microwave. There is a hidden safe to keep your precious stuff in and a table to sit at, too. The pool is nice but chilly this time of year. There is an ice cream shop attached to the building with delicious ice cream flavors! The bathroom is a bit small, and the way the door opens almost hits the toilet and hides the shower. They are building on a lot next door, so it's a little loud on and off, or I would have given 5 stars. The room could have a bit more color or decor . It's very plain and boring. The bigger space needs to feel more welcoming.

Stayed with the wife and our 2 year old for our 5th year wedding anniversary from April 17-21. Paid about $1000 for the 4 night stay with the harbor view on the 5th floor (room 503). Pros: Great location, just 2 minutes walk to the beach. Harbor view from the room was good When full service was done, the room was cleaned nicely. Housekeeping and maintenance staff did a good job. Cons: Very cold front desk staff. Nobody at the front is welcoming or smiles at you. Garrett at the front has a very mean look and doesn't go above or beyond for service and everyone is borderline rude. Hotel has a 80's look and so are the rooms. The pillows are a joke and need a serious upgrade. No complimentary breakfast. The spoons and the napkins provided as condiments are very thin and flimsy. You have to request for a full service, otherwise the room is only half cleaned with the bed/carpets not cleaned and folded. We didn't have a car, but many guests were surprised they had to pay $10/night for parking. No private balconies, lots of people smoking from other rooms smoking. Very difficult to be outside to enjoy the harbor view with the toddler with other people smoking most of the times. Cramped room, water flows out of the bathroom area every time after shower. We didn't have a car, and wanted a location very close and walkable to the beach, especially with the toddler. Will go for a better hotel when we visit Clearwater next time!

I'm always scared of places my husband picks but this was a definite winner!! The room was spacious, clean and the AC was cold!! The pool area was very nice. The housekeeping staff was the bomb!! We would leave in the morning to head to the beach and come back to fresh towels, a cleaned room and beds made. Central location to the beach access and restaurants are within a short walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Older hotel but I would highly recommend...we stayed in the two story building.

Ideal location, walking distance to bars/restaurants and of course the beach (5min walk) Pier 60 is a mile away. Hotel itself is nice, rooms are spacious, big bathroom. Overall clean. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Pool area is nice and has views of the bay. Friendly staff.

Perfect hotel for a great price! Stayed for a week. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is a block away from the beach and walking distance to pretty much everything on the strip! We stayed on the side by the ice cream shop and honestly it couldn’t have been more perfect. The pools are salt water and clean! Room service came by everyday to clean the rooms. I really don’t have any complaints ! Definitely recommend for your next getaway!

Let me start by say I was having a bad day and was not in the mood to talk to anyone but we had to get a room because out power was out due to the storm. The representative Jacob was amazing! We went above and beyond and our stay great! Thank you Jacob for everything. We will definitely be visiting again.

We came out out town to visit Florida. We stayed at this hotel thinking it would be reasonable and nice. We got into our room and the bed was so hard. We found roaches in our room. The customer service is horrible. Another family member got a separate room and their room was roach INFESTED. There was roaches crawling in their bags. They had roaches coming from everywhere. We counted 7 roaches at one time. I definitely do not recommend.

I rented 3 rooms! 2 of them, the ac wouldn’t get cool so we had to buy fans. 1 of the rooms they left us a plunger, because the toilet wouldn’t flush The bathroom sink drain was stuck down so the sink would over flow! Rooms were not to clean, bathrooms either and shower was very small! The towels were so crisp it hurt to dry off And they charge you for a room, and than they charge you to park at the hotel you just rented a room from??? Would not recommend this hotel

Great location and prices! Service was good too, always someone around. Electrical outlets didn’t work to charge devices. Shower curtain was too short, always flooded the floor. Outside door handle was so loose we could not get in most of the time. Room phone didn’t work. Definitely needs updated, crooked light fixtures. But hey, the price was right compared to luxury hoteling.

The hotel itself is in a really good spot. It is walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. The price for a room is pretty good too especially for Clearwater beach area. But the issue is the hotel itself. Management really needs to step up. The walls and door are very thin. You can hear everything outside the walls. You can hear the cars on the road and the construction in the area. The mattress is okay but the pillows are very thin. We stacked 2-3 pillows on top of each other. The only outlet we were able to use to charge our phones was the one in the bathroom. The key cards don’t work. We would be standing outside for 5 minutes trying to open the door. We went by to the pool but noticed that the water wasn’t clear.. looked dirty so we didn’t even want to go to the pool.. Lastly, the cleaning ladies haven’t cleaned our room during our stay. We went up to them asking if they can clean our room but they speak little to no English. We didn’t even have our do not disturb card in the door. The cleaning lady on the second day of our 5 day stay, handed us our bedsheets, towels and toilet paper…. And for the rest of the days we threw out our garbage and just asked for towels and toilet paper each time. If you want to sleep in good luck.. all the cleaning ladies do is walk around with their loud cleaning carts doing laps all day long. This was very disappointing. I hope management reads this review so that they can fix these issues and speak to their staff so that they can do their jobs properly.

Great location near the beach, rooms were nothing special but it was lodging. Bathroom was hardwood floors whilst bedroom was tiled which I thought was odd but overall clean and quality experience.

It's an older, average hotel but they work to keep it decent and clean; also my rating takes into consideration the lower price compared to others in the area. It's only a block to the beach. My five star rating is mostly for fantastic service from everyone we encountered.

Great location. There are 2 hotels across the street from each other under same name. You can use both pools. Very short walk to the best beach I've ever been to, Clearwater Beach, and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The hotel room was very nice and clean. Inexpensive by comparison to hotels in the area. The pool was actually quite warm like a bath. I guess they Don't have chillers in Florida. Would definitely go back.

I did not stay at this hotel but wanted to leave a review. I was scheduled to stay here but my flight was cancelled less than 24 hours before my arrival. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to rebook with my new flight dates no additional charge. For a 2nd time, my flight was cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled arrival. The staff was once again great at cancelling everything for me on such short notice. I will definitely stay here when I am able to reschedule this trip! Thank you so much for all of your help!

Nice location.. nothing they can do about rooms as they as kind of small. Hotel is close to the beach and restaurants hardly in the room so it doesn't matter.. updated inside.. found a medium size roach on last stay, never saw any the previous 4 days. we have stayed here the past 4 years and no issues. Told the front desk they should spray rm 101. Will definitely stay here again BUT will keep an eye out for bugs.

Checked into this hotel and they put us in a room across the street from the main building. It was an older two level building, not the four level pictured online. Then my room key wouldn’t work. I went to the desk five times for the staff to “fix” my key so we could access our room. The second time of the key not working, housekeeping let us in. Big Mistake!!! Our belongings got locked in the room. The front desk staff tried to unlock door with cards and key and it wouldn’t work. Then they had maintenance come and try to get into our room. He had to go through the joining room and cut through two doors to finally open our door. They moved our room and wouldn’t credit our bill. Mind you we were locked out for about 5 hours. The hotel is down the strip away from all the activities! Beach access is across the street. The pool on our side of the street was freezing cold. We never went to the other pool to see if it was heated. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . You can definitely tell this is not one of the nicer hotels hence the low price. There was an ice cream shop right beside us, which was nice. We have stayed in much nicer hotels in this area. We will not be back to this hotel.

Hotel was decent. The bathroom was large but room was small. Sheets were damp when we got in. Clean and easy access to rest of Clearwater I suppose. Bed was smaller than expected but AC worked and there were no pests. We had a pretty nice view.

This hotel was just perfect for me, a clean room, big bed, comfortable bathroom, big shower, fridge, microwave, plenty of room for my clothes. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful (only one person never smiled), there was free coffee available, the wifi was good, the location is perfect, right in the middle of Clearwater Beach, easy walking distance to everything, and they had a computer and printer free to use so I could sort my boarding pass before I left for the airport. If I have one criticism it is that there weren't many places to hang damp towels when I came in off the beach. I would certainly book again. A great stay for the price.

So check in was super easy. The pictures on line are super deceiving at least the room we had. Our room was super small it was clean. You couldn't adjust water temp in shower. We were only booked for 1 night. That would be my max staying there at least in our room. Close walk to some great food. It is on a very busy road. Plus we had to pay extra for parking I don't think it said that when we booked so beware. It was 10$ for a parking pass.

Visited for the weekend for my friends birthday. There was no refrigerator in the room, plug in receptacles in the lamp were loose plug would not stay in receptacle, only coffee was a half working kurig in the office. Front desk reception was very nice and helpful. No blankets for the bed, pillows were so old the cotton had rolled into pea size inside the pillows. Needs a serious upgrade.

We stayed in one of the suites, they are across from the main hotel. What I can say about them is. I checked every hotel from Anna Maria Island all the way up to Clearwater. And this hotel was the cheapest for my family. We had two beds and a pull out couch And we stayed for five nights. Rooms were cleaned everyday and it was perfect for what we use it for. Honestly the best bang for your buck in the area.

The bed is a brick and was extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were super thin. Oddly there was tile in the “bedroom” area and wood in the bathroom. Parking can be tricky especially if the lot is full. Parking was $10.. even for guests. The room was clean and actually had a view of the harbor.. which is why I have it 2 stars.

  • 5/5 Stacie D. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful experience. I had made an error in our reservation, but the manager was so graciously accommodating. Rooms are no frills, but are super clean and comfortable. Pool is lovely. Location was close to the gorgeous beach and fun restaurants. A perfect stay in our opinion.

  • 3/5 Jordan P. 11 months ago on Google
This is one of those "you get what you pay for" situations. The parking location is fantastic, the pool is great and has an 8.5ft deep end, the rooms are decent. It feels like one of those hotels you go to for Spring Break in college. I wouldn't say the rooms are high quality because they certainly are not but for the price point, the location and the parking you can't really go wrong. Solid 3 stars.

Almost everything about the hotel were nice. I loved how comfortable the bed was and the nice shower. The bathroom was a little small and the bathroom mirror and toilet sorta looked outdated and could use some fixing, but wasn’t a big of a deal. Didn’t like how there was only 2 dining tables for 4 people. The TV was good. I reccomend.

Rooms are clean with plenty of space to move around . Rooms are a little out dated with some small cosmetic issues, but barley noticeable. Air conditioning worked fine including all of the other electrical appliances. swimming pool was clean. Overall very decent for the price. So if you want convenience to the beach and a relaxing decent hotel and you're not trying to impress anyone by swiping your card for $500 a night for an over priced and overrated room like some of the other hotels ,then you'll do fine here. Rooms are much cheaper so you will save a lot of money at this location . It's about 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. One free parking spot with the room. And they offer military and AAA discount when possible. You must call or go to front desk and ask for that. I've Stayed here multiple times with no serious issues to call and complain about. Agian, this hotel may not impress some of your karen friends or family members but they will be comfortable here and it will save you a lot of money so you're not in debt when you check out. I will stay here again.

Just returned from July 4- Pros: location to beach - walk able to nearby locations Cons: Small parking lot - limited spaces - uncomfortable - old beds - ROACHES .. another review noted this and unfortunately I did not see it in advance. Customer service is lacking Very dated - small - old decor but again roaches Ground floor restrooms were not working Smoking outside rooms .. so the window ac units takes that in … Elevator seldom worked confidently Note your check in time .. if you arrive early as we did .. you’re in a jam It’s also a very noisy intersection - cars honking a lot There’s several nearby places Hampton Inn etc even if there’s a higher fee it’s worth it Nearby : ice cream shop across the street - opposite side restaurant offers a great breakfast Simply it’s a budget hotel - no frills of any kind with noise and roaches

We stayed here one night on June, 19, 2023. The walls are very thin. We could hear the family talking next door. The beds mattresses were thin. My daughter found a tiny round white colored bug in her bed in the morning. She has since developed several small bug bite circles on her legs. I showed the dead bug to the day staff and he said it was NOT a bed bug and it was Florida’s gnat or No-see-ems. We checked out early. Clear Water was not what I expected. It had high rise buildings everywhere. The beach was about 2 big blocks away but we could not see it from our hotel. The beach was very full of people. Very Big City feel to Clear Water. Not for us…

Beautiful view of the harbor and we saw dolphins playing out there from our room. Very clean and friendly service. Jolley Trolley stop within a block and the beach was a 10 minute walk. We will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean but needed serious updating. Walls are thin and you can hear everything, including street noise. Except for Jacob, who was awesome, reception staff were disinterested and borderline rude. Housekeeping staff were really good, too. The shower was like spraying needles and could not be adjusted. If you won’t be in your room much and can sleep through anything, the price is good. Clearwater Beach is overbuilt, to the point you can’t see the beach at all. There are much nicer beaches on the Gulf. If I wasn’t from here and visiting family, I wouldn’t return.

Very dated and photos are deceiving and old. Staff was horrible. Asked for a non-smoking room but definitely smelled of smoke. TV didn't work. Contacted front desk and was supposed to send maintenance...never showed for the two days we were there. We were told we should have brought the remote to the front desk. Unfortunately not able to stay at another hotel due to season and the races held on the weekend. Walls are paper thin. Furniture is torn, busted. Purchased Lysol just to somewhat air the room. Never would recommend. The only positive was we were within walking distance to the races I participated in.
