My wife and I have been to the Village Center location in Carrollwood several times, and the overall experience has been exceptional. The atmosphere is a mix of cozy and lively. The outdoor patio is covered with plenty of seating. The food is really good, and you can tell it is made with love with a decent beer and alcohol selection. The service is consistently great every time no matter what server is available. Don't forget to sign up for the mobile application for rewards.

We stopped here for dinner. The ambiance was great. We sat at the bar and ordered a Long Island ice tea. The bartender made it decent. For an appetizer we ordered the spicy shrimp, they weren’t too good but we were so hungry we ate them anyway. For our meal, we had the fish tacos, they were gross so we sent them back and ordered a burger instead. The burger was better than the tacos. I wasn’t too happy with any of the food. The employees were friendly and the restaurant was clean though. I would come here for drinks but not the food

A beautiful place with indoor and outdoor dining. Went for Tampa Bay Burger Week and had the Sunny Day Burger. It was very good. A burst of flavor from the onion straws and Carolina mustard bbq sauce. They regained the lost star due to bad service. Today the service was great and the food great. The menu has something for everyone. Full bar, very clean and dimly lit. I do recommend the place.

I was looking forward to my French Onion soup with house made croutons. What a disappointment. It came watered down (end of night so they stretched it by adding water ????) that arrived in a wierd entree pasta bowl and no gratineed cheese....or any cheese....3 croutons. I did not realize that "our own twist" which is how the server described it meant robbing me of the best part. The gooey yummy cheese.. The hummus plate was quite yummy. My brothers plate must have been pretty good as he finished all of it....as did Jo with her plate. I wasn't as happy with my Seared Ahi salad. Thed tuna's texture indicated it had been seared...yesterday (?) and served today. That mealy texture........ Anyway, we still enjoyed our visit and will go back. Marlowes is a favorite.

EDIT November 2022: I reviewed the Marlow's Carrollwood location a while back and it was a less than savory review. Here is how this one turned out. Keep in mind, I'm a pretty tough critic. Marlow's Tavern Oktoberfest Burger. $10 special benefiting Feeding Tampa Bay for Tampa Bay Burger Week. Overall -7.5/10 Food 8/10 Service -6.5/10 Ambiance - 8/10 Food - Burger topped with melted swiss (I subbed provolone), black forest ham, whole grain mustard, & caramelized onion on a toasted pretzel bun. The server asked, "what side would you like?" said, "what's your favorite?" She recommended the asparagus fries so went with that. I like the addition of the ham so much that I may start doing that at home instead of bacon! The pretzel bun was PERFECT!!! Soft, salty, chewy... perfect bun choice. The aioli for the asparagus fries was CRAZY amazing. My only critiques: 1. Check those asparagus bottoms. Some were a little woody. 2. A little too heavy handed with the whole grain mustard. If you order this, suggest getting the mustard on the side & adding your own. Would have been 9.5 if there was a lighter smear of that mustard & no woody stems. Service: They are not promoting this burger at all. Nothing is on their social media, menu, daily specials handout, & the server didn't say anything. I had to ask about it and was told, "you have to have heard about it to get it." Why? It's for charity. Strange marketing concept. Also, the server didn't tell me the side she recommended was $2 more (though still would have ordered it if she did) &| didn't find out until the bill came. Also, it took a while to get the check. Ambiance: ALWAYS a plus when a restaurant has outdoor, covered seating with fans! Parking can be rough as this is a busy shopping center. PRO TIP: park towards Fletcher. TONS of parking & no traffic jams. Minimal walk. Nice lunch with a great friend. be back, for sure, but ask more questions. EDIT June 2022: The email management asked me to write to bounced. 🤷🏼‍♀️😕 First, I want to preface by saying that I have been here in person and dined on the patio. It was a much better experience than this review... I ordered here because Google Maps stated this restaurant had curbside, but I had to go in to pick up my order. That is not curbside. I ordered three burgers. My son wanted no tomato bacon jam, my youngest wanted no onions or tomato bacon jam, and I wanted it all. The website ordering system did not have a place for notes so I had to call and ask for the onions and bacon jam to be on the side for all burgers to make things easier. I checked the bag at pickup and there was 1 container with all the onion (fine) and no tomato bacon jam on the burgers (good) or on the side. I had to wait an extra 5 minutes to get the jam and was told that when you order the Tavern Burger with cheese, the tomato bacon jam does not come with the burger. It says nothing about that on their menu 🤔 They should definitely update that, create a whole different menu item, or include it on the burger like the menu suggests. Their pickles (house made, I believe) lack in flavor. I am a huge pickles fan but NOT a fan of these 😕 And, finally, word to the wise, never order fries to-go from a restaurant. I'm disappointed every single time. I can't fault them for that though... I should have known better. The flavor was ok. When I dined at the restaurant, I got a French dip and it was pretty darn good. Service was really good as well when I dined in but this was several years ago and pre-COVID. I will likely try this place again but only dine in.

Fave! Awesome place, the food is fantastic. Make sure to order the fried okra, the prime rib dip was amazing as well. They have cold beer, cold cold, the other menu items are awesome like the shrimp and grits totally worth it. We love this place.

Stopped by to try out this place and to get some food. Sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic. Highly recommend from that alone. Food was also good. Please check it out and let me know about deserts. I didn't get to try any.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marlows Tavern and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. From the moment we sat at the bar and were greeted by Jason, we knew we were in for a treat. Jason was incredibly welcoming and took the time to explain the menus and make recommendations. I decided to go for the Black and Blue burger with fries and I was not disappointed. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy and flavorful patty that was complemented perfectly by the tangy blue cheese. But let's talk about the fries - they were out of this world! It was evident that they were made in-house from fresh potatoes, as they were perfectly seasoned and had a delightful crunch. My husband opted for the Chicken and Egg waffles from the brunch menu and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The chicken was tender, juicy, and breaded to perfection. The waffle was fluffy and light, creating the perfect combination of savory and sweet. And to top it all off, the maple pecan syrup that accompanied the dish was absolutely incredible. I can honestly say it was the best chicken and waffles I have ever tasted. To make our experience even more memorable, a kind gentleman from the kitchen came out while we were waiting for our entrees. He introduced himself (I wish I could remember his name because he was truly awesome) and informed us that as first-time diners, we would be receiving a complimentary appetizer. He surprised us with the kettle chip nachos topped with Gorgonzola dressing, and they were absolutely amazing. Overall, my visit to Marlows Tavern was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm and friendly service provided by Jason, to the delicious and perfectly cooked food, everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be returning for more incredible dining experiences.

this is genuinely one of my favorite places to take myself and my service dog out to dinner. they have a wonderful menu and amazing staff! i’ve always had amazing experiences when i attend :) i would recommend trying their citrus aioli, it pairs well with many things on the menu! my service dog gets grilled chicken breast on special occasions! they have doggie bowls as well which is very wonderful!

Great place for lunch/dinner. Good food, reasonably priced, with some great unusual items such as fried asparagus. We had that for an appetizer, and the grilled chicken sandwich and grouper sandwich - all very good. Pamela was a great, attentive waitress. Only thing I'd recommend is a tad more lighting - I like a low-light atmosphere, but it's a bit too dark. Minor issue though, great place to eat!

Thursday night we stopped in for dinner as we were in the area. And very happy we did. Our server Ian was very attentive and presented the night's specials to us. I ordered the Chicken with Vodka Sauce and my husband ordered a burger. I also ordered the drink special - some kind of old fashioned (I cannot remember the name). It was delicious. Our food arrived and both of our dishes were very good. I had a lot of sauce left and joked with the server that some garlic bread would be perfect to eat up the rest. He came back and had said he made the suggestion to a manager and next thing out comes some garlic bread :-) We live a little far to come back frequently but we are definitely keeping Marlow's on our list of go-tos.

I’ve heard so many great things about this place, so what else was I to do but come try it out for myself? First thing we ordered was the Tavern Wings. The wings were cooked perfectly with just enough crisp to them that paired very well with their gorgonzola dipping sauce (I couldn't stop licking my fingers it was so good.) While we were still stuffing our faces with our wings, the manager brought over a complimentary plate of their JT’s Kettle Chips that was outstanding! Can’t wait to eat those again! For my entree, I ordered their Shrimp and Grits…and WOW!!! There was a party in my mouth with all those flavors- and unfortunately, it was the only picture I took because we were too busy enjoying our meal.☺️ I would have ordered dessert, but jeez Louise we were so stuffed! Marlow’s Tavern is such a cozy, fun place. A great addition to the Carrollwood neighborhood that offers a variety of delicious menu items. And lastly, let’s not forget their excellent service! A big thank you to our server Evan who really made our experience a memorable one. I highly recommend this place. So..:like Arnold Schwarzenegger says: “I’ll be bahhhck”.

Great place going there for years. Please, take care of your employees. Offer some help so they can take care of their dental needs. A server with no teeth is not good for a restaurant. Call a dental office nearby and ask if they offer a discount if you send your employees there, and make a deal so your employees not only can take advantage of the deal but they will look great for your customers.

Stumbled upon this place because where I wanted to go was not open. Great variety on the menu and the place seems quite for lunch crowd. I'm told it can get loud Friday and Saturday night. I think I may have to come back and try some more items but the appetizers and drinks are good and the steak was done right! Update: this place never disappoints... even the Ahi Tuna salad is delicious!

Will return for the food Thought their service is slow in early afternoon. We waited at front for their hostess, who, as it happens, was sitting right by the front, doing paperwork (?) I’ve $50 credit for winning a small tennis 🎾 tournament. So we’re here -:) before losing it. French Open qualifying round has started this Monday. One of the screens is showing a men’s singles on red clay: GoNet Geneva Open. At 3:30 Thursday, it’s pretty packed. Perhaps due to the ice cold cold cold beer 🍺 ? My Chardonnay is good too. Salmon and chix stack are really good - def will return for them. Their ‘classic’ cream brûlée isn’t good - dead! The server did say that she’ll take it out from the freezer herself when I wanted to add it. It’s a bar Irene! I get it.

Family night out with my wife and kids. Good food and fun, even with the lady 3 tables away, that evidently want everyone in the tavern to be part of her conversation... she was so loud. That is the 4-star atmosphere rating. It would be nice if staff/management would recognize this and maybe politely mention something to those individuals. If it was occasional, I get it, but it was constant over our entire dining experience.

We had a fantastic meal here last night 🥰 the atmosphere was great, the restaurant is dog friendly! We did have to ask about one of our plates that came out later than the rest but the staff was amazing in correcting the situation and making sure everything was delicious. We got fish tacos, tortilla salad, and a grouper sandwich and it was all perfect. Definitely recommend!

The first time we came here, Dylin gave us excellent service and tasty food. He is a happy person. Also he is friendly, knowledgeable about menu and cares about customers. We have become regular customers. Every meal we have ordered the food has been delicious. And the chef has prepared it in a unique way. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Everything that came out here was fantastic. Our drinks were fresh and tasty and our food was wonderful. The server that attended us was extremely knowledgeable (forgot her name but she was from Georgia originally) and she was very personable as well. Great experience here!

We just googled a place to eat while we were out shopping. Went here and wow. Very nice atmosphere. Great service… but the food. I got the prime rib dip sandwich and truly the best sandwich I ever had. Got a Long Island and it was perfect. New favorite spot on date night.

Very convenient location with plenty of parking. The staff is warm and welcoming and if it's your first time there management gives you an appetizer on the house. The food is above average for pub food and the ambience is just right for the type of restaurant. The price point for the menu is affordable for the average person. I will be back very soon.

First timer. Many menu choices. I had blue cheese sirloin tip salad. Steak cooked EXACTLY as I requested, good sized portions, and great sweet tea as well as very friendly staff. Patio seating extremely large and faced a quieter portion of shopping. Large interior as well. I will be visiting again.

This visit was very disappointing. We were celebrating a birthday. The reservation was for 5:30 (which staff knew nothing about). That wasn't a problem as there was ample seating. However, I couldn't understand how something so staple as salmon could have been run out of so early. And that a prime rib sandwich was also unavailable. And that I had to wait as long as I did for a side of steamed broccoli to go with my entree. The only saving grace was our server Scottie. He was pleasant and apologetic.

Awesome appetizers and drinks. Asparagus fries and hummus were excellent. For old fashioned fans, don't be swayed by the banana in their house new fashioned. Give it a shot. It was actually pretty good.

I absolutely love this venue. It is always very clean, the staff is very friendly and courteous, and the food is absolutely fantastic. My personal favorites for brunch are the chicken and waffles or the shrimp and grits.

There was no one at the hosttess station when we got there but they were pretty busy within the restaurant & so it took awhile for someone to see us standing to get seated, and then to place our order...but the food was delicious and our waitress was kind. You have the option of eating inside or outside. The music is good and pleasant. Not too quiet and not too loud (unlike some places where you can't hear what the person across from you is saying). The place has nice big booths that feel very private compared to some restaurants. Overall it was a nice place to eat if you're in the area.

Our first time here. Got right in at 8 on Saturday. Our waiter , Marc Anthony, was friendly, efficient and attentive. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Food was very good. The spinach fondue appetizer was perfect. I had the French dip…very tasty. Wife had the crispy grouper which she said was done just right…perfectly seasoned. We’ll be back soon.
