Great drinks, great prices, even better people. I would recommend this location for anyone looking to try something new. Lastly a special shoutout to Brandi, the all-star of Steep Station.

They had a good selection of tea, it just wasn't too my liking. There one staff member that was there was helpful, but only after he finished his full conversation with another patron. He made the tea really well, but I was a bit hesitant to ask for more sugar- nothing is out for self serve, so you have to ask for more packets or more honey if you'd like it. Also, beware the booth tables- they're very thin and flimsy!!

The barrister's customer service skills are severely lacking. When I visited last night, I was met with some of the worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered a simple tea with steamed milk and a double karatom drink. Throughout the entire process, I could hear mumbling and a complete lack of care from the person behind the bar. It was as if I was interrupting their day. As the person was trying to pour hot water, they burned themselves. I could sense their discomfort and asked if they were okay. To my utter disgust, I was met with a sarcastic and disgruntled "yes!" The person then turned their head and ignored me. As a nurse and a human being, I understand that they were in pain, and I was genuinely concerned. However, to be treated as a nuisance rather than a customer was unacceptable. Additionally, the double karatom drink that I ordered was ungodly thick and undrinkable, making my experience even more unsatisfactory. Truly Disappointing!

A great kava/kratom place. Lot of options and teas are brewed very nicely. Nothing beats happy hour teas. The staff is friendly and any first time users can get all the info they need. A pretty cool cafe to hangout at. Its better than most places in tampa and the prices what you would expect.

This place is a vibe. Happy Hour deals daily starting at 2pm! More apothecary-esque than other local kava spots. Would definitely go back

Very chill place to grab something to drink! Very cheap compared to many other places in Tampa but quality is superb! All staff is super friendly and welcoming and the whole place feels like a close group of friends. Definitely my new hang out spot. Only wish was more games and stuff! Pool table would be excellent! Update 2/8/22 Decor has been greatly updated, new lighting and wall decor. Excellent place to hang out, very laid back place. Quiet enough to do remote work if you need to.

It's a must stop when we make a trip across the bridge to Tampa!! Especially if Brandi is working!! She's amazing and always makes us feel like family and outstanding service! We love Cesar too!

I got severely sick after drinking Kratom here. Threw up 8 times and have never felt so close to death. I wish the establishment would list a warning bc I had no idea these are the side effects. Furthermore I was given a “double” (large) on my second order and wasn’t even asked if I wanted a small. Pls be aware, this was one of the most traumatic experiences. “The most common side effects of kratom are: Aggression. Altered mental status. Anxiety and irritability. Constipation. Delusion and hallucination. Drowsiness and sedation. Dry mouth. Frequent urination. Itching. Nausea and vomiting. Tongue numbness. Other serious kratom side effects include: Cardiac issues, such as heart attack, abnormal heart rhythms and high blood pressure. Encephalopathy (brain disease). Hallucination. Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Insomnia. Liver damage and liver failure. Rhabdomyolysis (A condition that leads to kidney damage when muscles disintegrate and release a protein into the blood). Respiratory depression (difficulty breathing). Seizure.”

I love Steep Station. Since I moved to the Carrollwood area, this place has become synonymous with comfort for me. There is a sense of community here that feels palpable. All of the staff are extremely passionate about their work and always are knowledgeable about teas, kratom, kava, etc. I wish I could take it with me as I prepare to move away from Tampa. Do visit, it is a great place.

I've been drinking kratom for well over a year now. But this was my first experience visiting a kratom/kava establishment. Awesome sense of community and acceptance here. Friendly staff and a really cool place to enjoy kratom and hang with friends!

Quality tea, great service, plenty of seating and chargers for electronics. Update, 2nd trip: the grainiest kratom I’ve ever had. It was like drinking sand water. Had to throw it away after 2 sips. Everybody else’s drinks looked the same. They should really strain their kratom like all other bars do.

This wa my first time here ana I stayed all day here working and chilling. I love the vibe and ambiance. Drinks are great and will most likely be my office to work and enjoy.

It had been a while and the yellow tea is still the best I’ve found in the Bay Area. Also, Melanie provided great service and awesome conversation.

The atmosphere is very chill, which is fitting for a kava bar. But the standout here is the service. Really awesome people working at this place. Very welcoming and knowledgable/informative about botanicals of all kinds. I highly recommend you check out Steep Station.

Hmm. Needed local kratom to help w/covid pain and tried here. The bartender/manager was knowledgeable and really helpful, and his info lined up with the independent objective research I'd done. We came here because I needed to control dosage, and they let you order by the gram. The yellow kratom lemonade I got, by the end of the 3G custom bev, had taken a little pain away, made my formerly irritated throat feel warm and very slightly magical 🤷🏾‍♀️... So we got 30G of powder to take home. (Though my drink was quite bitter! And gritty.) We'll, I've tried the white, green, and yellow at home and they've had little to no effect. AND THERE'S SUCH A *HUGE* bitter taste. When I had a white maeng da single at Grassroots, there was no grittiness, only a SLIGHT bitter taste, and an hour later, I felt like I could run 30 laps around the train tracks while grinning like a Cheshire cat. Their singles have 4.5g. When taking this white maeng da from Steep... I got nothin at a similar gram level. This kratom is literally unbearable to drink with milk and sweetener. It's only "tolerable" to drink with lemonade. And not only is there almost zero effect between the 3 strains we tried, it makes me feel slightly strange after. Also, I don't prefer when places ring you up for numerous items, then just show you the total to pay. This happened here, and the total was several dollars more when initially quoted than when I viewed the breakdown on the receipt. I assume he tried to factor in an automatic tip or something similar without telling us... which is not a nice way to manage transactions. We ended up tipping anyway - actually a little more than what he'd have gotten with the "stealth" tip - because he was helpful, considerate, and informative with our questions. We enjoyed him and really appreciated his help. But as I reflected on the experience, team members attempting stealth tips (which would easily lead to inadvertent double tipping) is actually one of the few times it's justified not to leave one at all.

Went in for the first time tonight. Great atmosphere. Helpful and chill Staff. The Kava is on point. You can’t beat the prices. They have all you need from Tea, kava, Kratom, coffee, CBD and açaí bowls. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you check it out.

This is one of the coolest places. Brandi is such a joy to talk with. I recommend this place for coffee, tea and more. Better than starbucks.

I needed somewhere to hang out while waiting on my mechanic and found this little gem! It’s so adorable. It has hanging swings with glitter pillows ! Then a beautiful bar with all the espresso! Kratom & Kava you could ever desire ! Loved the vibe & the service is phenomenal. He helped me pick a drink & they had a charger & of course that saved my whole day! I totally recommend 10 out of 10!

A real hidden gem 💎! I needed somewhere to wait while my mechanic fixed my car & this place has the best vibe ever! The bar is so nice & they have the best espresso ☕️ ever ! I totally enjoyed the place 100%!
