Great venue! Amazing food. Great cause! Great community of supportive people who all have the same goals. Parking is the only difficulty we had, but that is to be expected in Tampa. If you haven’t been to an open mic night or just stopped by to get some good coffee this a place you should definitely try out!

I was walking past this place when I began to smell the aroma of food and coffee, it was a cool morning and I was itching to find a spot to sit and eat after a rough time in traffic. I was greated with warm “hellos” and soft introductions. This location was brand new and the staff talked me through how being a subsidary of the church. This non-profit coffee shop contibutes greatly to the homeless in Tampa. I was shocked, I felt special to know that this truly organic cafe with caring staff worked so hard selflessly. This location has multiple meetings spaces you can rent for less to nothing, gift items for friends or family, and of course amazing coffee and food. Check out my photos I uploaded as they are undervalued if described. This place is gorgeous, clean, and well taken care of. The staff(pictured)will have you feeling like family and you will almost always leave with a smile. I highly recommend from the bottom of my heart to any coffee drinker, businessman, doctor, or passerby in this area.

I like how they give the homeless and others an opportunity at work and resetting life. There's a nice little coffee shop + occasional community events

So glad that I saw the sign and decided to check out this business. All I was looking for was a coffee and some breakfast, what I got was delicious, fresh food, top notch flavor full coffee, service with a smile, care, courtesy, and lovely conversation, and these are only a few of the things that made this a feel good visit that l haven't been able to stop talking or thinking about! Adorable decor, great amenities, easy and plentiful parking, the nicest, most courteous staff and customers, it was as if I was visiting with old friends. And the fact that this brilliant and worthwhile cause is bringing so much joy and benefit to the community, is just icing on the cake. Bravo!!!!! I am duly impressed and will absolutely be back and send others! Keep doing what you're doing with that positive, kind, and infectious goodness!!

What a beautiful venue! Portico is located at the northern outskirts of downtown so the parking is not that difficult.

Wonderful Cafe with great atmosphere right in downtown Tampa! Jerome or others in charge will fix you up with their specialities of choice and will make you feel right at home. Try it! You'll like it too!

This upscale "coffee shop" is the place to go close to downtown Tampa for a light breakfast or lunch. The employees are some of the nicest people in the service industry. This is a walk up and order kind of place however the seating in the Cafe is modern and very comfortable. Make sure you add the house made Pimento Cheese Spread to your Turkey Club, for a limited time.

Very impressed with the place. Just walked in last Sunday, this is a one of a kind. First church I have been involved with in 53 years UPDATE: retired to this church several times was not only ignored but felt unwelcomed and received no help whatsoever. It takes more than painting homeless people's names on a wall to make a difference clearly you don't go the extra mile. I hope people aren't giving you money to help homeless people.

After catching a great instagram photo of the Tampa postcard mural, I recommend that you walk around the N Florida Ave area. There you can find other colourful murals, old church sites and an impressive bronze sculpture of Homeless Jesus. After sightseeing, you may wish to recharge with a refreshing snack and coffee. For that I suggest you treat yourself at The Portico cafe. The Portico cafe has good food, tasty coffee and friendly staff. This community centre has the spirit of giving hope to those who may need it the most. If you like my reviews, photos or videos then support the community by helping others, you may find it more rewarding than you could have ever imagined.

Portico Cafe exceeded all my expectations for the lunch on Christmas day 2022. I arrived 40 minutes early After I signed in and used the mens room , it was immaculate. I was allowed to wait in the dining room until the lunch is served. The food was brought to the table and I was able to get a second plate after asking nicely. I will eat here again.

Awesome place! Even the local rif-raf is cordial but hygiene challenged. Something should be done ..I don't know maybe a shower station and porto-potties.

The Portico is one of the best things happening in Downtown Tampa. Delicious food, great coffee, dynamic event venue, a beautifully refurbished old church chapel that's used for weddings and quiet time for meditation and reflection during the week. Proceeds from the cafe and event space rental guess into projects to fight homelessness. Go today for a great experience and a great cause!

Great food reasonable priced food ...small menu.... Interesting part about this Cafe is that a supports the homeless and people with addiction. People are friendly seems like a very good cause they have at church attached right to the cafe. I would recommend stopping in for a light fare food... Just a couple of items but they have a bacon cheese hash brown egg wrap that was delicious
