I visited the place for the first time. The place is quite beautiful, but the quality of the food is lower than normal, and the service provided is okay. I ordered a good brisket, but the bread was tough. I ordered a delicious mushroom burger, but the sauce was very salty.

Tampa Bay Restaurant Week. American Social. Located on Harbor Island, this place has a bar vibe and casual dinner vibe combined. A huge and crowded indoor bar as well as a huge outdoor bar and dining area with a waterfront view. Prix-Fixe menu $35 for a 3 course meal. The food surprised me because it was so good. The Loaded Guac, had great textures and flavors. The Seared Scallops were superb, amazing flavor and the rice bed they rested on was complex, textured and had a divine carrot puree hidden beneath. Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter offered up a happy ending. The toughest part is getting in and out in that busy and often chaotic environment. The staff are not much help as it seems they can only give out one piece of information per visit or call. Here is what you need to know. The restaurant offers free validated parking. As soon as you arrive enter the underground parking area. Try to park near the spiral staircase as it is very close to where you need to be. Take your parking ticket to the restaurant for validation. When leaving, scan your ticket before going to your car. That's it.

We stopped here several times for drinks and meals during our stay in the adjacent hotel. Other than very slow / almost non-existent service for our last meal, we enjoyed each stop. The bar and beer selection, both inside and outside, were impressive (see pictures) and the process were in line with other places in the area. We had the Chicken Quesadillas (see picture) one evening and really liked them - especially after asking for salsa. The homemade salsa they brought was delicious and I would highly recommend that you ask for it with your meal. The next day, my wife enjoyed Taco Tuesday (see player picture with one of each available taco on it) while I went with the chicken wings (see picture) and we both really enjoyed our selections. This was the day the service was very slow though. Not only was our original order slow in coming, but the requested additional tacos (all you can eat) and the wait to request our check were also very slow. They did have at least one large party for graduation there at the time, so possibly that was the reason, but our server didn't seem to be waiting on them. Overall, the food was very good and the pricing was reasonable, so we returned several times and I would recommend it as a stop. Visited on Father’s Day 2022 with a small group of friends and family, with reservations. The door staff were a bit disorganized. They gave us a tour of the facility, searching for our table, before dropping us off outside to wait. I then had to remind them we were still on hold. The ribs were delicious. The tuna tower could’ve been a bit more chilled. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the food. The Old Fashioned was perfect. A very good overall experience.

I came here a few weeks ago for a football game and we had Kendall as our waitress. She provided exceptional service and made sure to check in with our table in a timely manner and continue to show how great the servers are here. I came back with a group of 9 tonight and we had Taya as our server and once again was happily welcomed and once again treated with great service. Highly recommend for large parties and a GREAT environment.

If you are looking for a sports pub, New York club, American traditional feel with food that has the same taste as Applebee’s Mediocrity, the. American Social is your place. What a strange place. The vibe is sooooo strange. Music so loud you can ignore your date in peace. They claim to be a sports bar… yay! I mean this is true because they have a ton of flat screens all around. With sports. Yay sports. The decor is all American. With framed pictures of Life magazine. The wait staff are kind. I wish I could have heard them. Ha. In all seriousness, the price point is decent for pub food. Reminded me of Applebee’s. Meh. I’ll never go back, but I wish them well.

The setting and service make American Social so special. The combination of the sports bar format with the monitors everywhere plus a live DJ is an original concept. We were a large group and thankfully we made reservations because that place was packed. It was brunch time. Noisy atmosphere but enjoyable. The service was on point; our server was great and so patient with the difficult members of the group. And the food looked great. Mine was delicious; I had the Wide Awake Steak and Eggs. Highly recommended.

This past weekend I hosted my engagement party at AMSO. Bella and Nicole made my booking and planning experience wonderful. They were always available for questions I had up until our event took place. The night of the event, Josh was the event manager on site and was a big help! He even assisted us clean up our decor at the end of the night. The bartender we had was quick to make drinks and cleanup tables and hightops we had out. Our food was awesome! We had the shrimp cakes, sassy pigs in a blanket, sliders & goat cheese balls. The whole team made our event a blast and run super smooth. Thank you AMSO team!!! I totally recommend AMSO for events large or small :)

I stopped into American Social for lunch one day. The staff was fun and very helpful when it came to suggesting their favorite food and drinks. The restaurant layout is sprawling and there is indoor and outdoor seating available. I’ll definitely be returning next time in town.

The seating in the host was fantastic. The service okay. I've had better service at more busy locations. Every time I wanted a beer they conveniently didn't happen to have it. The server didn't even know what was on tap as well. Interesting for a server not to know what's on tap. They suggest that you utilize the Q R code if you want to see what's currently on tap. I prefer not to utilize the QR code. All in all okay their shrimp cakes were very good shredded beef tacos were also very good. Prices are typical for the area.

If I could rate the food a zero I would. Ordered a pizza and it was so greasy and soggy that I could not eat it. If anything it was the worse pizza that I’ve had in a really long time. On a good note, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere seemed good for a Friday night. Also, if you are parking in the garage, recommend showing the parking ticket to the waitress to get the parking fee waived. Learned the hard way by paying the parking fee…just wish the waitress would had mentioned it when we sat on the table to eat.

We went on a Friday night. Unbeknownst to us, American Social is very much an "after-work bar-restaurant atmosphere," i.e., loud. Still, my wife enjoyed her Mango Margarita and we enjoyed the Spinach & Artichoke Dip appetizer. The Crispy Truffleshroom Burger was a little too well done (as the server did not ask to what level of doneness we wanted the burger). The Wagyu Truffle Melt was very tasty, hitting all desired flavor notes. The house salad was generous in size and what one would expect in a house salad. I would recommend American Social to people interested in a restaurant with a nice harbor view and decent food, but would caution that one should not expect a quiet atmosphere on Friday nights. We will try weekend lunch and/or dinner next time.

This was our first dinner in Tampa, and man it didn't disappoint. This place was recommended by my niece and nephew who spoke highly of it. It was a Saturday night and immediately the environment and presence was felt. Multiple bars within the restaurant are located inside and outside. UFC, sports, and boxing PPV fights on all TVs. The restaurant sits right on the water and gives a great view of the bay. Servers were friendly and offered suggestions to the food and drink menu's, with a large drink menu they offer something for everyone. We wanted seafood, so I ordered the sea food tacos with fried shrimp. It came with 3 tacos that were loaded with large shrimp. On the side, I ordered the ranch wedges, which are highly recommended! My girlfriend ordered the Mahi Mahi burger blackened, which was dripping in juices and packed with flavors! My niece and nephew went with the cheese pizza, which they said "was very cheesy and gooey." Also pictured is the smash burger and goat cheese salad. This place was a great atmosphere and food was delicious. Definitely recommended!

We had the pleasure of visiting American Social - Tampa with friends and family and had a pleasant experience. We did not have to wait long when when we walked in, and as we walked to our table, we did not notice any slip or trip hazards. Dominique was our server, and she provided exceptional customer service. She kept our lemomades, teas, and other drinks coming to the table and had our appetizers and our main meals out quickly. She kept coming by our table to ensure we did not need anything, and if there seemed to be an issue, she solved it. I would recommend American Social - Tampa and ask for Dominique to be your server. "Our Purpose Is Your Blessing"

My first time going here. I had been trying to get here for the longest but they are usually very busy which is never a bad sign. Today was burger Monday and I personally ordered the Social Smash Burger. It was perfect they way they made it. The other food that my party ordered was just as good and healthier options. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed the atmosphere minus the pigeons flying through from time to time but hey they were hungry too. It was too hot for alcohol for me this go round, however I am definitely looking forward to coming back for brunch. Thank you to our amazing server for making it a pleasure to eat here. We ended up enjoying our food. However- we were t greeter or brought water for quite some time. Then we just felt like we were pushed off in our server. Has to ask twice for salt- took forever/ the place is BUSY- covered in people so they’re not especially concerned with your dining experience. That said the goat cheese salad and omelette were both good.

Food was tasty. Views were great! Went during happy hour type of hours it was somewhat busy. We waited 30 mins or so for a table, which is reasonable. Waitress was busy.

10/10 for this views. If there's a review for the view: 10/10. I absolutely wish the food matched it. Had fish tacos, they were dry. And the food tasted bland. Server was wonderful.

While on vacation in Tampa a couple of weeks ago, we stopped in at the American Social. It has a nice ambiance and is on the water with an awesome view of Tampa Bay. It is more of a chic casual place with a younger crowd looking to meet up. But there are all ages mixed in. It is like a sports bar with the giant TVs but it is not necessarily all about that. Plenty of older adults were there celebrating different events. We got to sit out on the deck and see the view by night which was beautiful. We ordered the Wagyu Steak sandwich, which was a disappointment. The steak had fat and grizzle in it. Really? The fries tasted weird like wet flour so our server brought us another basket, which was better. Our server was attentive and friendly. It was super loud there between the piped-in music, the TVs and the crowd. Impossible to hold much of a conversation. We didn't stay long. Parking was a hassle. They do have valet.

Stopped in for apps before dinner. Sat at the bar with Gracie. She was excellent offered great service and was very prompt. She Suggested the side hustle drink from their signature cocktails and it was amazing! So fresh and light and beautiful garnish. Also got some spinach and artichoke dip on her recommendation which I would highly recommend!! Will be back for sure.

Very great experience with server PJ! Margaritas 🍹 were definitely spicy. I love the B.l.a.t chicken sandwich with black truffle fries. Will visit again parking garage is below restaurant.

This is our go-to place before the hockey games. We love the atmosphere and the food is always good. Nice outdoor patio when the weather is nice, and inside has a cool upscale (but not stuffy) vibe. As far as food, the Chicken Quesadilla is probably our fave so far! Chicken sandwich and burgers are always a good choice here. And their garlic Parmesan fries with truffle aioli are definitely worth getting, if you like garlic and/or truffles.

Whitney is awesome. The grilled octopus and pork belly tacos are the best I've ever had. Highly recommend when you're in town.

I love this place, I would be a rich man if this place didn’t exist. Ric flair is here all the time but is kind of a creep. I always get the Amso burger and I ask for it in a tortilla wrap. Amso is comfort food for degenerates like me <3

Enjoyed several apps with friends; the deviled eggs & meatball sliders were a crowd favorite! Also enjoyed the Rhiskey Pineapple and Maui Mimosa - both were well made and paired well with our samplings. Ended the meal with a slice of cake large enough to feed 4! Great experience and highly recommend for groups!

I would highly suggest to reserve a table for Friday and Saturday nights; unless you want to stand up at the bar. I reserved a table and received the vip treatment! The table was overlooking the water and you can plus you can see the whole area inside as well. Maybe ask for the patio because it’s decent atmosphere and you can hear the music as well. I would also suggest that you get the fish tacos; big chunks of mahi mahi but I wasn’t a big fan of the coleslaw so maybe tell them not to put it on there or get it on the side and also always ask for sour cream on the side. Drinks were pretty decent, service was great! Oh on another note , use the restrooms outside of the establishment. Way better, clean and always stocked. Also, shoutout to Jason Thompson (Senior Manager)… good experience overall I’m just not fired up about the food but I would definitely recommend for the experience and the atmosphere! Thanks again.

Grace was amazing!! She was prompt, attentive, and so nice. The drinks were really good. We did the Tiki Rita and Grey Line. The wings and chicken quesadillas were delicious. We came in late but still got good service and hot food. Will definitely be back for sure. Thank you Grace for the amazing service.

Great place. Music was kinda loud so we couldn't hear all our conversations ( group of 11) great ambiance regardless. Waitress was nice. Food came pretty quickly. Just a FYI, the smoked salmon Benedict meal, the salmon is cold and barely smoked. We switched it for the shrimp salad and it was good.

American Social is a must stop for us, no matter what city we are in. From Miami, ft Lauderdale boca and Tampa, their brand consistently is perfect. Always great people, great atmosphere, & great food. Tampa is awesome for game days with full audio/visual set up. And the view of the tampa bay is just breath taking.

We stopped here after a conference for a dinner. We sat outside on the water. There was a section closed for a private event but seating was plentiful. Our server was very friendly and service was quick. We ended up getting appetizers and they were phenomenal. The goat cheese croquettes were creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The portion was large enough for two. The hummus platter is mostly pita and a very large portion. We didn't finish it. The soft pretzels were absolutely delicious with a flavorful honey mustard dip and a cheese dip I didn't really eat. Prices were okay and we had such a lovely meal we ended up going back the next night.

If you dont like it loud then this is not the place for you. There is music pumping through the speakers and the bar makes great drinks that are photo worthy. I will give the food a 5/10, but the fresh oyster was heaven.

The food was pretty good especially the chicken quesadilla! Oh so yummy! Wings was perfect just how I like it and the burger was on POINT! Great waitresses, courteous and helpful. There is an option to dine in or on the patio over looking Tampa Bay’s beautiful waters views. The music is vibrant. Great bar and seatings. I’ve been to American social a few times and it’s becoming my favorite spot.

American Social is a sports bar & grill located on Harbour Island, across the bridge from Downtown Tampa. The vibe is very loud, with games playing on the TVs, a DJ playing music, and a guitar player in outdoor areas. The staff was very nice, and took care of all our needs. The food was good. The pretzels were delicious, the chicken sandwich was okay, the fries were cooked to perfection, and the goat cheese balls were good. Overall, would come here with large parties.

It was a gorgeous day for a late lunch! Was on the weekend so it was quite a bit of a wait but they called us in sooner than the time they initially mentioned. I did like my tacos but the fish seemed a bit dry. My friend loved their order of ribs. And I definitely loved the fries and broccoli (called something similar on the menu) The drinks were great and not weak at all. Overall loved the vibe here!

I often come to this place for drinks, but today was my first time eating here. We sat at an outdoor table with an amazing view of the channel. The live music playing was great too. The service was fast and attentive. I chose a pinot noir to drink, and it had a fantastic flavor. However, I was a bit disappointed with my burger because I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, but it was cooked medium well. The fries, on the other hand, were really tasty with their well-seasoned seasoning. The next time I come back, I'll try something different from the menu.
