Came to town to visit and was a awesome sports bar to chill and have a few drinks. Beth (the bartender) offered great recommendations and service. Definitely coming back when I’m in town again.

Best steak sandwich I've ever had. There are options for your peppers, from mild to OMG and OMG Hot.. Been here 4 times and only have had that, but other selections look good. Fries are very good too. Sports bar theme with TV's and nice outside deck. Servers are always cheerful and attentive. 8/30 update: still great, becoming a regular. Wait staff is awesome. Burgers are very good too! Mondays trivia night, Tuesdays half price steak sandwiches (the bomb) and killer steak fries for $2.

I haven't been to Charann's in a while, but I do remember the food there is delicious. Their steak sandwiches and steak fries are fantastic. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. I will be back.

Their sandwiches are surprisingly good. We'd rather eat here than many upscale restaurants in town. Not just because it's cheaper...it just tastes better.

Me and my best friend had a super fun time here on cinco de mayo! The mojitos and margaritas were one of the best I’ve had and the food was great as well. The best part was the karaoke they set up for the event! Will definitely be back 😊

I don't even know where to start with this place. My first indication should have been that there was maybe 30-40 people there to watch the first game of the Stanley cup finals of the Lightning playing but hey, they have a nice outdoor patio area and it was conveniently located, so gave it a shot. If that wasn't a big enough sign, the A/C seemed to not work properly. Kind of like it worked fine, but you're in a room of 150 people so it felt warm... but there wasn't that many people! Not sure if this had an effect on the beer cooler but the beer I ordered (amberboch) was not only flat, but warm. I figured because it's not a popular beer it might be an expired keg, but bartender assured me otherwise. Switched to yeungling and was fresh though. Sat outside on the patio and were the only ones sitting outside (myself and a friend) so nobody came to serve us. So i went to the bar to order everything and aside from the bartender bringing out my food I basically acted as our own server going back and forth to the bar all night. It wasn't until the game was over and the bar was closing that a server finally came out (to clear our table). Aside from that the TV's on the patio were so loud I had to yell to talk to my friend (again only two of us sitting outside. I mean volume on full blast) and I challenge you to find a table outside that isn't so wobbly it doesn't seem like it's about to literally fall over. I tried grabbing other tables to see if they weren't super wobbly, even maybe only slightly wobbly, but no, EXTREMELY wobbly. As someone whose worked in and managed a few restaurants, I just can't wrap my head around how bad this place was. It has the potential to be great. It's a sports bar. Fried food, beers, and TV's with sports. Shouldn't be that hard! so I can only imagine the owner of this place is intentionally running it poorly. The bartender was great and super friendly, and the food was OK. I liked that the steak sandwich had spice options for the peppers. Aside from that though this place was almost intentionally bad. I feel bad for the employees because whoever runs this place obviously doesn't care about it and just wants easy money off the backs of its likely overworked employees. I've never written a review like this but damn, I can't help it. Owner should be ashamed, this place could be awesome if they gave a damn or at least put some effort into the building and the staff.

As a long time customer since the 90's when Charrann's was a Tampa institution of sorts. I have traveled from New Port Richey to Charrann's through 3 locations. The recent down turn is sad. The bread has been changed, the peppers are inconsistent and the meat is a little more sparce . The French fry portion is really small and Catsup is rationed in small plastic cups. The cheese steak which previously I consider consistently to be the best I ever had. Is now less tasty than chains like Jersey Mike's and Certainly Capriottis. I hope you guys go back to the formula you purchased and not what you are serving today. On a brighter note the server was very good.

I wish you could order a big batch of pub chips, soooo good 😊. I had the mushroom swiss burger and thought it was great (though, I would've liked more mushrooms 😉).

Agree with others. They have lost the famous Charanns steak sandwich. Used to be the best all the way back to when they were on the causeway. Now the steak was dry and tasteless. Bun had a funky smell. I guess you can’t go back.

The food is pretty good. However , the bar is pretty rundown. Broken windows. Clutter in the corners. Temperature control issues. The venue itself is large inside. The outdoor patio has so much potential. It's in a convenient location to be a great neighborhood hangout yet is always dead. Better management could turn this place around

Went here Saturday night just before they closed which is at 12pm a Lil early for a bar but great hospitality and bartender was a doll

Our server was wonderful. It was quiet during the time we went. We ordered an appetizer. It wasn't as good as the last time we had it.

The wings I bought today, to go were not edible, basically I bit into skin and bones with a "pork rinds" texture! Had to throw them out what a waste of $ money. Should inspect the food next time, but, you know what? I shouldn't have to.. Makes me wonder what they do in the kitchen, hmm? They really don't care either of you come back or not! I know I won't!

Good food not expensive, I was expecting a better cheese steak but it was ok, the pig out fries were very good, awesome waitress and good service, you can go outside to be with the dogs and that is a plus.

Server was great but the sandwich was not. Had heard it was the “best ever” however we were very disappointed. Very little steak - seemed like it was all bread! Sorry but we were not impressed- probably will not be back.

I was visiting from out of town to watch my football teams game. The owner and staff were very accommodating, friendly and pleasant. My dad and I had a great time! We also enjoyed the food and prices! I Will definitely come back again if I am in town!

Not sure what those Shrimp Tacos are made of but they are inedible. The shrimp tails left on were the only indication it was some type of shrimp in a fried gnarly dough-ball. The patron next to me said she had them before and didn’t care for them either. Might want to rethink those.. I was charged full price for food I couldn’t eat. Lame
