This was my first experience with an escape room so I have nothing to compare it to - but we had a BLAST! The room was very clean and the challenge was real! Very creative! We did the open heart surgery room. We had a team of 6 -thankfully the others were experienced in this sort of thing and I learned from them, but now I can’t wait to go back and try another room!

Leo and Shane made the party so incredibly memorable. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. Leo hosted the escape room and made it super engaging and exciting for the young party guests. We will 10000000% be back. I can’t say enough good things about The Great Escape! Thank you for making my daughters birthday party come to life!

Poker at Presidents Bunker was aight. Decent puzzle, good variety, little easier, prob little short (could have used another room), maybe a little more theme/ environment building. Best president bunker done thus far, but Great Escape has a few better rooms, def better than Infirmary, but def no torch (pun intended) to Collosieum, but about same or a little less engaging than Seance, Mountain Top prob second to Collosiuem. Still have to Bros for Life and smaller Sherlock scavenger hunt (prob an in-between or 2nd one to tack on with a room). Overall decent, but def not with smaller kiddos and / or prob more than 4-5 people. Nice night out, though. It's worth adding to a list of once to cross off the list and do all ones there.

We had a great time! We did 2 escape rooms. Bros for life was hard but the surgical one was pretty easy! Robbie and Leo did an amazing job helping us out! I definitely recommend this place!

We planned the great escape room for a team building experience. We could not have planned a better event. We all had the best time and will do it again. Leo was great explaining everything to get us started and also giving us our final times at the end. He and Alley made a great team for hosting our experience. Boom Shaka Laka

We escaped last night! They were able to accommodate our large party into two rooms at the same time to add to the competition of getting out! Leo and Shane were fantastic and engaging! Everyone had a great time

UPDATE #2: 5 stars for experience and customer service. After having an issue the second time we went, we came back for a third time and the experience was amazing (again)!! Nick was a fantastic guide and helped us a lot through our room, without making anything too obvious of course. He really made the experience that much better! Original Review: This was our first time at an escape room and this one was great! Shelby was our host and she helped us throughout the colosseum escape room. It was detailed, themed perfectly and had such intricate puzzles. Though we ran out of time on one puzzle, we were still able to continue to the next ones to finish the other rooms. That was really cool!! The one downside is that there wasn't a timer available so you couldn't actively see how much time left you had in each room. (I'm not sure if that is specific to the colosseum room or if that's the case with every room). They have a lot of different options here which is great, definitely a good time! UPDATE!! Your experience greatly depends on which room you go to and which employee you get to help you during your escape!! We had gone back to do a second escape challenge here and got a new employee working our room and it wasn't as good. Definitely keep in mind your experience can differ per room.

Our family did a post Christmas escape room at The Great Escape Room Tampa with all the kids home during the break! We did Poker Night at the President's Bunker and had a blast. There were lots of challenges, puzzles, scavenger hunts, clues, deduction and research to be done and there was something for everyone to contribute to. This is a quality escape room with great challenges and a fun, inviting atmosphere. This particular room is perfect for all ages and abilities and we highly recommend it!! We will be back to try the other rooms too!

Super nice with the location being downtown along with nearby parking spots. The staff was awesome and clearly love their job, made a great addition to my girlfriend’s birthday. Went home and couldn’t stop talking about the next time we can go back!

Always have such a great time doing these escape rooms with my family. The staff is so friendly and make the experience so much fun. Ryan and Shane explained our rooms and did a great job getting into character and setting the scene. Leo was very helpful making sure the game ran smoothly for us. We've done a few rooms here now and have not been disappointed by any of them. They give a nice challenge without being punishingly difficult. The waiting area is clean and has lots of fun things to do while you wait and they'll even take a picture for you when you finish. 10/10 on service and game rooms.

Absolutely amazing! We did the President’s Bunker. We used our student discount (super helpful for us college kids). The game master was through video & audio (my favorite way to play). They even told us ahead of time on the website that it would be that way. The clues were a perfect mix of hard & easy. We’re a little tired, so we had some extra clues we probably could have figured out. But it was so fun! Even when our game master (I think Ali) gave us clues, she did it in such a way that we still had to think, so we still had the fun of “solving it” And then the host who led us to our room (Leo, I believe) was SO friendly and funny to interact with, super helpful with taking photos for us at the end & made some fun comments that just felt like he was a real guy, not just putting up a nice personality. 10/10 - will be returning with my family!

What a great experience! I've been to a few and can safely say this one stands out and I will be returning! The room we did was rooted in actual history and very well decorated. The puzzles were excellent and very well made. The staff was outstanding especially when one of the puzzles malfunctioned. Our time was adjusted for the trouble and the staff reacted swiftly to help us get back to gaming asap.

Great way to spend an afternoon with the family and beat the summer heat. We did the Mountain Cabin room. It was fun and very challenging. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They are available to offer hints if needed, and I'm not too big to admit we needed a few hints with this room! Overall a great experience!

The experience we had was amazing! Our group constantly was looking for fun but hard to find clues. One of the best escape rooms I have done. There was a twist at every turn and made this such a great group outing/activity. Shoutout to Maddie, Nicole and Leo who were so great!!

We were in Tampa for a surprise birthday event and had some extra time beforehand. Booked The Great Escape at the very last minute and so glad we did! It was my 2nd experience in an escape room but my husband, daughter, and son-in-law had never done one. We had a great time in the Infirmary! We needed a few hints, but still felt very accomplished when we finished with minutes to spare! Staff was great too. They even gave us suggestions for a yummy dinner location.

This was my first escape room and it was so much fun! Staff was so friendly! I love the vibe of this place. The waiting room had some comfortable seating and some games We did the Murder on the Mountain scenario. It was so much fun to just get lost in the game and solve the mystery! I can’t wait to visit again!

We had such a good time! We did The Last Seance room, and we managed to escape with just a few minutes to spare. It was just two of us, but it would definitely work with more. The ambiance of the room was incredible, and it was just the right level of challenging. The staff was also very kind, and one of the staff members gave us some good advice for other activities in Tampa. Overall, it was a great experience, and one of the most fun hours (and a bit) that I've had in a while.

Came for a business event a week back or so. Staff were super accommodating especially since it was some of our first times at the escape room. Ryan and Robby were welcoming and funny to have around. Will definitely be returning with my encore tickets!

We have done several escape rooms and this one was great. There were multiple puzzles that different members of the group could work on simultaneously. Robbie was awesome! Thank you so much for allowing us to book a room on super short notice!

We did the presidents bunker with our entire family-kids 20,10, 9 & 7; and everyone loved it! There were puzzles that everyone could participate with and we got out with 10mins to spare. I’ve done about 40 rooms and this wasn’t the most difficult but with the kids who are just starting their escape room passion, it was perfect. We would definitely return to do other rooms- Ali and Leo were great!

Very fun!!! My boyfriend and I escaped Poker Night at the Presidents Bunker by ourselves with 3 minute to spare! Nicole was a lifesaver with the clues and Leo made the experience memorable by being so welcoming!!!

This was our first meeting as a team and we could not have had a better time. The Great Escape Room and especially Leo, Elijah and Luke made our time together so memorable and fun! This was my first time at an escape room and it was awesome! We attended for a team building adventure for work. We had so much fun and a lot of clever challenges. Leo, Elijah, and Luke were so helpful and funny!

Edit to add: Our fourth and final time at The Great Escape Room! We have now escaped from every room they have! Thanks again to Leo and Ally for doing such a great job making sure we had fun! Very highly recommend and you’ve got to do all the rooms! Edit to add: Our third time at The Great Escape Room did not disappoint! We escaped from two rooms and made the top of the leaderboard for one room! We forgot to take pictures, but we’ll be back in a few weeks to finish up the rest of the rooms and we’ll take pics then! Very highly recommend. What a great time!!! We escaped! What a great time. Well thought out and staged. We do lots of escape rooms and this was a really good one. The Escape room we did was heart surgery and it was fantastic!! It was mind boggling yet exciting to place the clue together in our attempt to solve it! We escaped with 3 minutes to spare and the staff was super accommodating.

Great experience! I booked for a group of 30 and the group ended up being quite a bit smaller and they were very nice and provided lots of information to us. Definitely will be going back. Robyn helped us in our room and we couldn’t ask for a better employee. She was very nice and explained everything very well. Thank you for a great time!

We booked a private party room here for my son's 11th birthday. The kids seemed to have a great experience even though they were not able to make their way out of the escape room. Parent's stayed in the party room while the kids were in the escape room, it would be awesome if they put up tv's for the parent's to watch the kids while you wait is my only feedback. :)

This place was great! Did the Colosseum and Escaped! It was very immersive and lots of unique puzzles. Our host Calvin and Ryan (the God of Games) were awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Four of us got together to celebrate birthdays - we decided to go with The Great Escape Room in Tampa based off of reviews & it didn't disappoint. We had the best time! Staff is friendly & kept things super fun and light and the room was great - challenging + super cute theme. We will definitely go back! Location is great, too.

The Great Escape Room was tons of fun. Booked as a team building event, and did not disappoint. Price is decent for what you get, and very close (walking distance) to a few different eateries. Would recommend!

Took my wife and three kids here on Mother's Day. This was one of the best family experiences we've ever had. The staff is so friendly, the room was so fun. Every member of the family contributed in a meaningful way to escape the room. Highly recommend.

This was a blast! We took the kids and they had fun with our party of adults. David and Rachel were professional and very friendly, definitely enhancing our experience.. we will be back for sure!

We had a ton of fun. The puzzles were varied and the right amount of challenge for us to finish with 7 minutes to spare. Highly recommended. David and Ali were great.

We had a blast trying to figure out the Sherlock Holmes room. Our party had 2 separate groups in different rooms so it added a little challenge to the competition to see which group would finish and I'm happy to day it was our team. Our host Leo was great, very helpful and made things fun by playing the part and dressing up from the moment we stepped in the door at greeting us, all the way to the end when we left. While we waited there was a room of activities to do so we were entertained waiting for our turn which was pretty neat. I would definitely recommend doing this activity! I will be coming back to try another room!

A group of us did the Mountaintop Murders room - it was so much fun! They got us in very quickly and were super chill with us. The room itself was awesome - I can’t spoil the whole scenario obviously. We all had lots of laughs and a few little scares. We completed a few of their rooms last year and came back this year for some more, so I definitely recommend going back to experience all of their rooms.

Me, my wife, and kids did the Murder Mystery Room on July 4th and it was awesome!! We’ve done a lot of escape rooms and this place is one of our favorites! It definitely gave us a run for our money lol. My wife loved the historic building and the way everything was set up was so thought out! We had a blast. The staff was amazing, so nice, and helpful! ;) we are looking very forward to going back to try their other rooms!!

We had a wonderful team event and it was so much. We did the Poker Room and we actually made it out! Highly recommend if you are looking to bond with your team or just looking for something new to do for date night.

David and Luke were great! Good spot for family fun. We did the mountain top murder room and had a great time. Not the most difficult room they offered, but still very fun. Will return soon!

Ali and Leo were amazing! We did the Colosseum Room with 4 ½ people (2 adults, 2 kids and a toddler). The room was challenging but not overwhelming. We had a great time.

We did the Bros for Life room and it was amazing. All the puzzles were clean and well designed. On their site the mentioned the room was heavy on mechanical puzzles and light on scavenger hunting, which I very much wanted and it was exactly that. A tiny but of hunting but clues pointing the right direction each time. The puzzles included a lot of tactile feedback and some great and creative twists. Overall an excellent room, great staff and good experience. Disability note: There was a crawl through but an alternate door was available to unlock once a team member entered the room. Well thought out.

We had a really great time! We did the Murder Mountain room which was fun and difficult but we were only a few clues away from finishing! If I’m ever back in Tampa I will definitely come back. Also, the staff was really wonderful and the waiting room was awesome as well.
