Beware
if
you
look
younger
and
are
from
out
of
state.
The
bartender
working
on
Saturday
night
(09/09/2023)
does
not
know
how
to
properly
read
a
NJ
driver's
license.
My
girlfriend,
some
friends,
and
I
wanted
to
grab
some
drinks
and
hang
out
for
a
little
bit
after
a
late
dinner.
Wexford's
was
nearby
and
we
wanted
to
check
the
place
out
since
we
had
never
been
before.
When
we
entered
we
were
courteously
greeted
by
the
bartender,
everything
was
going
smoothly.
After
ordering
drinks,
we
were
asked
to
produce
identification
(as
expected).
When
the
bartender
got
to
my
out-of-state
girlfriend's
ID,
she
refused
it
claiming
it
was
fake.
The
bartender
then
started
to
be
rude
and
rather
defensive/aggressive
towards
our
group.
My
girlfriend
was
willing
to
produce
a
secondary
and
third
form
of
identification
but
that
is
when
the
individual
behind
the
bar
threatened
with
calling
the
police.
This
is
when
we
decided
it
was
not
worth
the
hassle
and
we
decided
to
go
to
a
different
bar
in
the
vicinity
that
was
more
than
happy
to
accept
our
business
(and
knew
how
to
read
IDs).
This
establishment
and
management
need
to
train
their
bartenders
and
waitstaff
on
how
to
properly
ID
out-of-state
patrons
due
to
the
fact
that
driver's
licenses
are
slightly
different
from
state
to
state.
This
is
the
first
time
that
I
have
ever
experienced
something
like
this
and
unfortunately
did
put
a
damper
on
an
otherwise
pleasant
Saturday
evening.
