As
a
black
American
when
I
enter
any
building
people
are
just
on
alert....fact
of
life.
I
am
well
spoken
and
well
dressed.
I
always
make
sure
my
energy
is
good.
On
my
way
to
Orlando
I
stopped
my
Krispy
Kreme
on
Kennedy
Blvd.
As
I
entered
the
store
there
were
three
black
employees.
Two
black
females
and
one
male.
The
energy
was
really
poor
and
not
inviting.
I
felt
like
I
was
a
bother.
I
was
the
only
one
in
the
store.
The
first
female--facing
me--
did
not
acknowledge
me.
No
hello.
No
how
can
I
help
you?
The
second
female
approached
with
a
what
do
you
want
kind
of
vibe.
Keep
in
mind
this
was
a
little
after
1:00pm
on
Sunday.
The
donuts
in
the
display
case
did
not
look
fresh.
What
happened
to
putting
your
best
foot
forward?
First
impressions?
I
asked
for
8
creamed
filled
chocolate
donuts
and
two
blueberry
and
two
pumpkin
spiced
cake
donuts.
She
said,
we
have
no
cake
donuts.
Her
response
was
short
and
unpleasant.
She
just
seemed
so
agitated.
I
remained
calm
throughout
this
uncomfortable
visit.
I
went
ahead
and
got
a
dozen
of
the
creamed
filled
chocolate
iced
donuts.
Monday
morning
for
breakfast--in
Orlando--the
three
donuts
I
ate
were
not
fresh.
To
my
surprise
all
the
donuts
where
not
fresh.
To
make
matters
worse
the
bothered
and/or
lack
of
training
employee
placed
6
custard
filled
donuts
in
my
box.
I
was
very
very
unhappy.
I
spent
$15.99
for
poor
service
and
poor
management.
A
well
run
store
can
operate
without
the
manager
present.
Looking
back
I
will
never
forget
these
two
employees.
I
understand
people
are
going
through
life.
But
for
God
sakes
you
have
a
job.
When
you
got
the
job
you
fooled
someone.
Life
is
what
you
make
it.
I
will
never
go
back
to
this
location.
