I stayed here because the pricing was affordable and it was close to the area I was in town to visit. The staff was helpful and friendly. However, they are going through renovations and much of the hotel has construction going on which detracts from the atmosphere and can be noisy if you're looking to sleep in. Furniture and fixtures felt outdated but the bed was comfortable. Air conditioning unit worked a little too well as it never seemed to shut off and I actually had to turn it off because the room dropped to frigid temperatures even with the thermostat set to 78. If you don't mind a place that is a work in progress and affordable for the room space this is a good option. If you're looking for more quiet or luxury you're better off looking at other options in the area.

Where to begin, first of all beware the pictures online are not correct the facility does not look as good in person as it does online. The room was very dirty and the cabinet where the TV was on was broken they tried to fix it but it was not fixed completely or right. The tub was dirty the floors were dirty I did not feel comfortable. I tried to change rooms but was told I couldn’t. I booked my reservation per comments and pictures online, I wish I hadn’t I was very disappointed. Had their continental breakfast and I opened four different packages of plain bagels and they all had mold on them, because of that I didn’t eat anything else wasn’t sure if anything offered was good or safe. To say something nice, The staff: the front desk personnel and the handyman were nice and helpful. Refrigerator in my room was cold to the point were both water put into the freezer part and fridge part were frozen. If I hadn’t already pre-paid I would have gone to a different hotel. Again I did not have a good experience, I was so worried about catching something.

The staff at the front desk was amazing, does not deserve to be in that nasty place. The room was booked over a month in advance on a booking site that claimed it was a 3 1/2 star hotel..... they lied! The first room smelled like a nasty wet dog, barely got past the door, the second room had pot and cigarette smoke coming thru the walls, beard trimming in the sink, bug guts smeared on the wall and what we think was a bed bug on the mattress. The wonderful young person who was extremely helpful and did a lot to try to make it work was understanding when I told him we could not stay there and did his part to get me a refund before the booking agency had even made contact. I hope that sweet soul gets a job in a much better place!

Once you get past the musty smell, the ripped carpet, the guests, the rusting of the bathrooms, the old 1980s hotel/motel modeling. This hotel isn't all that bad, front desk was actually the best part. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair to watch the nightly drug dealings in the parking lot. Also you might need one for your room because when I sat in one of the hotel provided chairs I almost broke my back. The hotel consists of 3 floors with stairs and elevator access, but I recommend the elevator due to the nostalgic rusted broken down feel of the elevator when going up or down. Overall my 20 minute experience within this establishment was the best experience I've ever had in my entire life. I completely recommend this to any friends and/or family looking to book a room at this hotel.

Absolutely the best staff from the front desk to housekeeping. I love the high ceilings. We stayed for 2 months and it was without a doubt the best hotel we've stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of places the past 9 months. What a relief that it was the only place that had no roaches.

I did notice the costmer service was lot better then it was a few years ago. The room I had smelled really good. And I over heard someone say that were going to upgrade the breakfast area. If So that would be great!

The sign needs immediate attention. The service was great and more than made up for the dried blood on the carpet in my room. There was an over compensating smell of cleaning products and a dirty waste basket left in the hall for the weekend. They did their best, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

After staying here a few weeks now, I felt the need and desire to give an update of my Brandon Center Hotel Experience. For me times have been rough however the staff have been very understanding, patient, and accommodating with my current situation. I have experienced and noticed they try to go above and beyond to satisfy and/or improve their guests stay I'm comparison to other hotels I've stayed where the only concern the staff seemed to care or put any extra effort into was collecting money by checkout. I have now gradually upgraded into their king suite, throughout my stay in the double, to the king, SC then the king suite, I haven't experienced any major issues, rooms were clean, as well as refrigerator and microwave, (which get forgotten about more often than not). Anytime I have needed to exchange towels/linens staff was immediately accommodating. I'am also be to the area so they have also been a major help regarding questions I've had about certain locations and things I've personally needed to address in Brandon. Of course, as with any and every hotel, I have seen a few guests bring concerns or personal issues to staffs/management's attention, and they responded quickly, respectfully and thoroughly to rectify the problem. So with all of this being said, I plan on extending my stay here and will most certainly periodically update my experience to enlighten others about a hotel that is definitely worth a stay in my opinion.

Not a horrible hotel in terms of cleanliness or customer service. But you get what you pay for. We arrived early and the rooms given to us were not clean and we walked by (no joke) people doing brujería (witchcraft) and cops dealing with something in that area. We changed rooms to another floor that reeked of weed. Carpet looks like it needs some deep cleaning or it could be the color. Needless to say, we aren’t coming back ever again. BUT, it was relatively safe and in a quiet part of the town. Front desk has good customer service and quick at fixing issues or providing more supplies. If you have sensitive noses be aware that cleaning staff uses Clorox so there will be a strong odor when they’re done cleaning.

This place needs a major upgrade and very very deep clean. Smells entirely like cigarettes (even inside the room). Walking down the hallway you see the baseboards are chipped, rotten and falling apart. Before coming into the room, the door gets stuck to the paint and you have to force/push yourself in. Room is super outdated. Bathroom is small and disturbing. Bathtub is chipped. Bathtub tools are rusted. A/C unit in the room makes a lot of noise turning off and on.

Avoid avoid avoid. The only good things I will say about this stay was that the front desk people were very nice. Our room smelled overwhelmingly of Guinea pig that I dropped my bags and immediately went to the closest store to get Lysol and room air fresheners. Disinfecting everything was the only thing that made me feel more comfortable staying here since my stay was nonrefundable.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Leon at the front desk is the epitome of professionalism. So many Thanks to Nicole, Alex, Joe, and Tim thank you for making it such a wonderful stay. The rooms are really nice and the surrounding area is a convenient location.

I came in and was greeted by Joeseph. He was super nice, welcoming, and accomedated me perfectly. Then Leon also went above and beyond to help me out and make sure my stay was wonderful. You rarely see this type of service with a smile very often. The Hotel was very clean and I enjoyed my stay there. These guys deserve a huge shout out for their professionalism. I highly recommend staying there.

This hotel was not as it was described. It started with the check-in. We believe the individual was high or drunk. The room was in poor condition, bathroom dirty, vent fan in bathroom did not work, drawers for storage would not close, lights not working - in very poor condition. Had it not been for having already paid in full we would have left.

What they call breakfast is not healthy food. Elevator and stairway smells weed. Ladies at front desk not welcoming except the african American guy he is nice and professional. Its not worth the price and 21/2 stars may be that is too much. They have a fitness room and its molding can’t stay in 10 minutes.

Rooms were a bit dated but clean. the location is ok...there were two 18-wheelers parked out front that made getting out a bit interesting. They invite you to join them for breakfast but there wasn't any...I mean there was some cereal but that's it, best bet is Bob Evans right across from it. All in all it served our purpose.

I booked this hotel through dayuse. To rest and relax for the day after our cruise before our 6pm flight. The pictures online made it seem like it was a decent hotel to spend the day and maybe get in the pool and just relax. Upon entry, the lobby was filthy with carpet so stained and dirty I feel like I need to clean my shoes. Then we walked to our room and the hallways were disgusting and doesn’t appear to be vacuumed in a long time. Once we arrived to the room. There was an overwhelming smell. Moldy, musty, wet, damp wash cloth smell. The sheets and comforter had hair, crumbs, black specks, and yellow stains on them. I put a bunch of towels in the chair to try to make do and not be “those people” but after an hour I just couldn’t take it anymore. The hotel staff took us to other rooms and they all smelled bad and I checked the sheets and there was still hair on sheets and crumbs on the floor in the other rooms too. They were very nice, but I just felt gross. Never made it to check out the pool so can’t rate that. Because I booked through dayuse, they couldn’t give me a refund so I’m not sure if I will get one or not… but at this point, I don’t care. I just wanted to get out of there.

The most DISGUSTING Excuse for a hotel. The carpets were stinking and filthy. The rooms were Nasty and Musty. There was a filthy tub that I thought was gonna fall through to the first floor. We Found hair in the beds between the sheets. The floors were sticky, The worst part was the DIRTY MENS Underwear on the open shelf under the sink. My husband went to the car about 1000 pm, and witnessed some suspicious activities. The Breakfast was a COMPLETE joke. This is the worst place EVER.

Great hotel. Very clean and top standard. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were in good shape. Location was good. Staff was also accommodating. Will stay here again when we are back in the area.

I was looking forward to booking at minimum a 3 1/2.* hotel on Hotwire and I was sent to the Brandon Center Hotel. Unfortunately, this is a ZERO star hotel and not a 3 1/2 star hotel, as it is being portrayed. The room smelled horrible (like urine mixed with Clorox bleach) and the carpets were filthy dirty, in the hallway, and in the room, as well as this chair. The carpet has not been vacuumed in weeks. The girl at the front desk Alex B…. Was very nice in helping me to refund my money. We ended up leaving with a headache and going to the Tampa Hilton, which was fabulous. What an upgrade. Something has to be done. Americans should not be defrauded with undesirable smelly hotel rooms like this one.

Totally disappointed. The hallways stink of mold, marijuana. Rooms are cleaned by appointment only. The room was dirty, mirror dirty, the bathtub was disgusting. There were cockroaches crawling all over the bathroom, coming out of the sink while I was brushing my teeth, I never imagined going through this situation. And now the worst thing that happened: there were bed bugs, my body was full of red lumps and I was scratching myself. It was the worst moment of my trip, of my day. The worst choice I made was this hotel.

What a lovely surprise we had on a stopover en route to Key West. The bed, a true marvel of ergonomic engineering ( or maybe it had just seen better days) offers an unexpected roller-coaster experience. Who needs a good night's sleep when you can have an impromptu journey to the center of the mattress. Good sized room and breakfast.

This hotel came to our rescue during our evacuation for Hurricane Idalia. After making reservations at the Red roof in at the Tampa fairgrounds and seeing that our room was infested with roaches, stuff on the walls, and things on the mattresses, we made a last effort to find a place to stay and the Brandon Central Hotel stepped in and gave us a room at the last minute with no issues at all. Very pleasant experience with the staff of the hotel and they communicated well with not only my family and I in making sure we were comfortable, but they also communicated well as a staff with each other. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone over what we were dealing with at Red roof inn and will be using them for any future evacuations God Forbid as the first line of making sure my family and I have somewhere to go. Cannot thank the staff enough for making a stressful time and circumstances no one should have to deal with as pleasant as possible.
