The pros were : check in process was great. The person at front desk is definitely a great person, very knowledgeable. The pool is nice and so are the facilities. Breakfast was great as well, it is available at a cost to you.. Person working that area was very friendly. Cons: the bed is the hardest bed I've ever slept on, the door seemed to have paint chipped off on outside..as if some tried to pry it open. The chair in room can use updating.

Tuesday evening, sometimes between 6-7 PM on 11/14/23. I needed to use the women's restroom in the hotel lobby, and when I came out, there were two short Spanish men standing in front of one of the two sinks with the hotel's shirt on. The descriptions of the men: both men were wearing dark color(black or dark blue) hotel's shirts with name tags on their shirts with black pants. Heights 5'2"-5'4". Both men have short dark hair; mid 30s and mid 40s. I asked the two men, "You don't knock before you enter the women's restroom", and the reply I got was 'no', and one of the two men walked out of the restroom. While I was watching my hands, I watched what the other Spanish man was attempting to pull something from under one of the faucets. I didn't get a chance to see what the guy pulled out under the sink faucet since the guy quickly left. I didn't hear them enter the restroom either. They must have entered very quietly because the door didn't make a sound at all. The sink faucets didn't appear broken when I entered the women's restroom. I am skeptical about the two men who entered into the women's restroom while I was using the toilet. Since they did not make any announcement, they have entered into the restroom and practically tried to be quiet about what they were doing.... Who knows what exactly they were doing?! I DO NOT recommend this hotel for women to stay. I don't think it's a safe place for women. #TampaPoliceNeedToInvestigate this hotel #Police #Tampa #Florida #Investigate

I used to guide myself by the brand name Hilton for quality. That’s out the window with this place. Needs update badly! The employees try, but they work with what they’ve got, and that’s an old looking hotel that needs update. Our pillows were worn out. The bed squeaked and the mattress was depressed in the middle. Our TV remote didn’t work. No breakfast included…That’s extra.

Dated hotel that needs updates PDQ..as in Pretty D...Quick? Had to request additional bedding because there was no mattress protector/cover.. therefore, no comfortable sleeping. Had to open bathroom door prop against closet door, because no fan in bathroom to clear fog after showering. Also, need additional lights outside for security reasons..

This hotel is in a beautiful area. The people at the front desk were so nice and had great customer service skills. My room was great I got the king suite with whirlpool. It was so nice after a long day just to relax. Yes it a old hotel and you can tell. But as long as your not a Karen you will be ok. My only issue was the bed I kept hitting my legs on the wood frame. Also the lady that cleaned our room was really polite and did her job right! I highly recommend the king suite with the whirlpool. Thanks for making my stay feel like I was at home but more like a princess.

Our first floor room was outdated, in disrepair, dingy and had a lousy bed. If only the bed was better then it would have been fine for the night. But given the cost, the nice exterior and very nice location, I was expecting a better room. We arrived late and went to the front desk for two more pillows but could only get one because it was the last pillow in the entire hotel. Lastly, the breakfast was your typical self serve breakfast that you would expect for free but after I piled up my plate I was told about a fee. The cost of the room could have easily included the breakfast.

This hotel is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in! The staff was kind, the room and the pool were clean, the facilities were extraordinary, the terrace garden was amazing! It was relaxing just to sit back at the terrace in the middle of green trees and flowers. It makes you feel like you're blending in the nature and escaping from modern life chaos a little bit. The hotel and the rooms smell great from the cleaning but my linen had a blood stain on it. I worked in the hotel business for some time and I know that it's impossible for some stains to come off, but at least they could have replaced it or put the stained side to the foot level, not the face level. Again, I am sure that it was cleaned because of the great smell, that's why I am still giving 5 stars. It was a great stay for reasonable price. Thank you to hotel staff!

I wanted to love this hotel but it was a terrible experience. Front desk staff was nice and restaurant staff was stressed, but there was pee in the elevator 2 out of 3 days and the walls are PAPER thin. If the room next door has their TV on or is talking, you can hear every word. I was woken up by a woman in the hallway screaming and crying at 2AM for an hour, a man yelling at her, and then the couple in the room next to me was having an intense discussion until 5AM that I could hear and kept me up. Interesting crowd of guests at this hotel but I absolutely did not feel safe at night.

Great clean nice cool relaxing room definitely the only place to stay if you have a concert at the mid Florida amphitheatre! All other hotel's horrible reviews and Hard Rock usually 500 plus a night. To me the Hard Rock isn't worth that high price!

What an experience. The staff was quite rude. The bathrooms on the first floor are nowhere near the lobby. The men's room has been consistently disgusting. Urine all over the floor. Feces smothered over the toilet seat. Neither stall locks. If I didn't have to be here I wouldn't have come.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful, they were the best part of the stay. Also very conveniently located to where we needed to travel. I was very disappointed in the condition of the hotel itself. It was clean, but very outdated & seems in need of maintenance. I intentionally chose a Hilton at a slightly higher price then nearby hotels for the expectation of more appealing accommodations but I could’ve visited another option for cheaper if I knew the inside of this hotel would look like a motel/inn that has not been updated since the 90s.

We wanted to like it more than we did. The size of the room was awesome! The water pressure leaves a lot to be desired. The room had the largest and yet dimmest bathroom I've seen in a hotel. The bed was squeaky and the curtains were not dark. Coffee machine in our room leaked and what was in the cup was not drinkable. The large guy cleaning up the breakfast buffet had zero empathy when we were simply hoping for a cup of coffee 30 mins past breakfast time but still before check out. The young man at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The woman at the bar was great and the burgers at the restaurant were fantastic

I stayed for a night for a little weekend vacation. The staff was very kind and attentive! The rooms were very comfortable and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. A minor inconvenience is that I went with my exclusively-spanish speaking family and the TV didn't offer any Spanish language or channels (not even Telemundo which is usually a go-to). The bathroom also lacked ventilation. The hotel's location is also a bit disconnected from everything else so almost nothing is at walking distance.

I'm a Diamond member and repeat guest here. It is true that the hotel is dated but I've never received a room that was not thoroughly clean, and that's what matters to me since I'm usually here on business and not looking for anything fancy. No funky "old room" odor, ac/heat always works. Bathrooms are partially updated so there are no unsightly signs of age. Front desk staff is always pleasant and efficient. Restaurant staff leaves nothing to be desired- great service and food every time. The chef did a superb job with my omelette this morning. Price for the stay falls right in line with the value I expect and receive.

Rooms are very dated for what they’re charging here. Listed online that there’s room service, you have to call to pick up an order. No biggie until you realize you have to go to the restaurant to view a menu. I reserved a king bed online and got downgraded to a double bed but still paid the ridiculous price they charge here. The AC in the room did work but sounds like a train running through your room. No fan in the bathroom so everything steams up. Every wall outlet in this room is unusable as anything you plug into it just falls out because they are so worn out. If sleeping on the floor is your thing you’ll love the bed here. It’s as hard as a brick. The only interaction I had with the staff was the front desk and she was very friendly. I’d suggest you stay somewhere else. I’ve stayed at nicer motels than this.

This hotel was just okay for us. It wasn't terrible, but there are some things that could have been better. For example, the bathrooms desperately need fans to air out the fog when you shower and the soap left an oily residue on my body that I didn't appreciate. Also they charge for every little thing, even water in the room! Breakfast is also an upcharge but relatively cheap. For the price, overall, I'd say it's reasonable for what you get.

Please beware of this hotel. It is unsafe and unfriendly. I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst Hilton experience I’ve had thus far. Elevators are well past inspection date and need maintenance (one of the buttons is constantly punched in as well). Front desk is unfriendly. Told me to call the manager’s number— the line is disconnected. Beds have bugs and they have construction without warning on site. Made it impossible to present in meetings and sleep. And if you ask when it will be finished or if it will continue the next day, they “don’t know.”

Older hotel, but rooms were clean. About 3 miles from amphitheater. No hot water for shower, just lukewarm. Not sure the point of an app check-in/pick your room because I was put in a different room. Other than those small issues, I’d stay here again. In need of renovation, but again, it was clean.

The location is perfect and I felt safe during my entire stay. The bar and restaurant is right there in the hotel and that made things easy when it came to options. The staff was friendly and if you report an issue they try their best to resolve your issue. I wish more was done for Hilton honors members but aside from that my experience at this hotel was a good one.

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tampa East/Brandon was exceptional. We utilized the hotel for a room block. for our wedding we hosted in the area. The sales manager was absolutely top notch; timely, professional, kind, and accommodating with every question and request we threw at them. No ask was too much. Having many friends and family travel here from across the country, we would not have been able to have such a smooth event without the help of the staff there. 11/10 would recommend to anyone looking to use their services. Thanks again Hilton Garden Inn team!!! Y’all rock!

My family stayed during Hurricane Ian. We personally rate this hotel a 20! Every single employee we had interaction with was surberb! Every employee had a smile on their face& if there was anything you needed, it was instantly taken care of. The food was delicious, the cleanliness of the rooms was spot on. The employees were constantly working and helping out. The grounds was kept beautiful. The management was outstanding. My first contact was with Roxanne and with her attitude of helpfulness she made it eady for me to make this our hotel. I was truly blessed finding this hotel and amazing staff. They all deserve a raise & to be recognize highly by the owners. Thank you so much everyone for making this our hotel!❤️

Rooms were clean, and the staff were great. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and stay shut but only stayed one night, and they said they would fix it. Other than that, everything else was nice. Staff should wander the halls every once in a while, though. People were constantly smoking in the halls even though it was supposed to be non-smoking.

I wanted so much to give this hotel 5 stars. The location is very convenient - right off the highway. The surroundings were beautiful and quiet with large shady trees to help with those hot days. We stayed in room 402 and it was like a small apartment with a living area separated from the bedroom. I'd like to add that I love that we were able to stay on a higher floor. Many hotels will have accessible rooms only on the first floor. The room was VERY spacious and roomy. There is a TV in the "living" area and in the bedroom as well. There's a large desk there. There's a really large counter space with a long mirror as a back drop which was very convenient for me being in wheelchair! The counter has a sink close to the coffee machine so yo don't have to go to the bathroom to get the water to carry it back. That was helpful. Some things were almost out of my reach. But I was able to make do with a little effort. The only reason I couldn't give it a 5 star is that I made sure to reserve an "accessible" room. When I checked in, they even confirmed the type of room I reserved. However, there were no grab bars around the toilet and only 1 for the tub. The shampoo & conditioner is mounted on the wall (and not removable) at the back of the tub about half-way UP the wall. If you are disabled and you're sitting in the tub, you will NOT be able to reach it. Since it can't be removed you can't put it within your reach either. I suppose when they said "accessible" they meant there's room for a wheelchair to maneuver in the room. They are right about that. The room was very spacious. However, when I'm thinking accessible, I'm hoping for the room to be user friendly to the person in the wheelchair as well. SO, I had a lot of difficulties using the bathroom. But I had my husband there to help me. If you are a person travelling alone, you'll want to make sure you get a room that is actually accommodating to you & not just your wheelchair. With that being said -they may have had other rooms with bars around the toilet and possibly roll in showers. I'll have to make sure I pick a better room next time. But all in all, this hotel is amazing. We loved everything about it and the staff was phenomenal. They are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again given the chance.

Last weekend was the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. One of the worst Hilton properties we’ve stayed at. The beds are awful - hard and bowed in. Toiletries are as cheap as it gets. Not the typical Garden Inn Neutrogena stuff. We’re talking truck stop motel bar soap. No lotion in room. The breakfast is confusing because it looks like table service but the server is posted up at the bar and you need to walk up to order. The hotel also sent out a message to my Hilton app several days before check in, letting us know to message with any questions. We had a question so we asked right away. Heard nothing back from the hotel. What was the point of sending the initial message then? Positives: good location and nice trees/landscaping.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. We needed 3 rooms for one night. They saw I was a Gold member and upgraded one of our rooms to the biggest 1 bedroom king suite with a jacuzzi. I asked if they could get 2 of the rooms close and they were right across from one another. Kids loved the pool. Being right off the interstates I thought we would hear noise all night, didn't hear anything with the Ac's going. Everything was amazing. Aaron and Brandon both deserve raises... their customer service is top notch, and they answered all my questions before and after my stay with professionalism and kindness. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is quite dated, and while that may be out of the owner's control, you would think they would make up for it with the service. The lack of service at this location is quite unfortunate. You can't even get a hello from the staff. They want to sit down and not be bothered. When you go to a hotel, you don't expect to sleep on a 5-star mattress, but the mattress at this location was akin to sleeping on the ground. While this hotel is quite old, it also is not kept up in terms of cleanliness. The hotel carpets are littered with debris, and they attempt to mask any odor with some ungodly deodorizer. I would not recommend this hotel. It is quite evident whoever owns this hotel is cheap and doesn't want to spend a nickel on any improvements.

The Good: The room was clean, and bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. The grounds around the hotel were well maintained. The wi-fi always connected. The hotel was quiet. Also, the hotel's location was exceptional being right next to a major freeway interchange and relatively easy to get in and out of. There's also plenty of parking, but you may have to park in the back of the hotel as the front fills up fairly quickly. The Bad: My window would not close all the way, nor would it lock. There was a dead stop, which prevented it being opened all the way, and I was on the 5th floor, so I wasn't concerned about the security of the room, but was concerned about the level of actual insolation against the outside elements. The room was dated, and you could tell they needed to get those renovations under way. The water pressure in the shower was pretty low as well, but there was enough to get the job done, just don't expect to enjoy a strong shower. The food in the restaurant is "just okay." I didn't eat anything other than breakfast a couple times, but ended up eating elsewhere for the rest of the week. The Ugly: Had to kill a jumping spider in my room. Not sure how dangerous they are in Florida, but didn't want to take any chances of being bitten in the middle of the night. Again, I was on the 5th floor, so not sure how he got in other then through the bent window screen and un-sealable window. The room was not dark at all. There was light bleed under the door, around the curtains, and from the microwave timer and smoke alarm. I was able to deal with the microwave easily enough, and mitigate the light from the door by opening both the bathroom and closet doors which did a fair job of "covering" the room door enough to reduce the light bleed from the hallway. There is an announcement that they are going to be renovating soon, so hopefully many of these issues will be dealt with eventually. I currently don't have any travel plans that will bring me back to Tampa, at least through the end of the year, but if I do stay in the area, I'll likely be staying elsewhere.

Great location, very quiet area but not far from main roads. Very nice property and the front desk employees were very welcoming. Rooms were nice only complaint is the ac unit had no display to see temp and was hard to get a comfortable temperature in the room. The bathroom sink had alot of small ants hanging out when I woke up next morning but I would stay here again

We had two company meetings of 60 persons each day. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, the meeting went well, place is nice, the food and service were really good. I think I can speak for everybody when I say we were all very pleased.

When we arrived at our room, the bedsheets had an odor; it smelt like a construction worker had lied there. We had a lizard in our room and we’ve never had that experience at any hotel. There was a leak coming from the sink dripping onto our floor. The breakfast was mid; only liked the hash browns and eggs. There was a dog in the eating area with its owner, the staff tried telling him he couldn’t have a dog near the food but the guy didnt listen. So, I think they should enforce stricter rules for dog owners. The hotel needs a huge renovation because there was a pipe that bursts that caused the water pressure to be low; we couldn’t flush the toilet, brush our teeth, or take a shower if we wanted to. The only nice staff was Janice, Rose, and the lady that works at the bar for breakfast.

Wow ok well i personally have always had a great experience at the Hilton establishments but this time was a bit less than great to say the least. So apparently they no longer give those awesome cookies at check-in. There was an extremely rude family on our floor with adults and children making loud noises speaking loud, yelling, running through the hallway and slamming doors late at night. Made it very hard for my mother to sleep. Its not exactly located in a very inviting neighborhood. Not any decent places to eat nearby. Oh you can order from the bar like i did after the concert at the amphitheater that we were attending except i wouldn't expect the order to be right. The burger was overcooked and i substituted the fries for a salad because i cant eat fries because i am currently experiencing kidney failure, undergoing dialysis and cannot eat thing with a lot of potassium. Yeah they totally gave me fries with the meal instead of the salad i requested. Not a good experience this time at this Hilton. The employees are super nice though.

This place has a bug problem. The first night I arrived, I took a shower with three tiny black bugs around the soap dish. My fiancé took a shower after me and he didn't see anything. But while he was in the shower, I noticed a few tiny red ants on the window sill. He thinks I'm a little bouji when it comes to hotels, so I tried to deal. After all, I was only there for work and would only need to sleep and shower there. But every night got worse. They seemed to be everywhere. One morning, one crawled across my foot while I was in the bathroom. While I was away, my fiancé found a huge spider that he disposed of. After the second night, he was even like "this is pretty bad." I didn't have the time to switch rooms or hotels. I just couldn't wait to get home and immediately put everything in the wash. I would not recommend. I did report it upon checkout and showed the young lady the video. She apologized and asked what she could do to make it right. She offered breakfast, but I wasn't interested in eating there. Then she offered 5000 Hilton points. I don't travel like I used to, so I'll probably never use them. But something is better than nothing I guess.

The overall condition of this location was terrible. I am a frequent user of Hilton brand hotels and there is a certain quality I expect when I stay at these hotels. This hotel was grossly under par from my expectations. The exterior is old with sidewalks that need to power washed and chipped paint on signs. The overall decor is old and dingey. When we went to the room, initially we could not get over how dark the room was. There was virtually no lighting. The lights there were, were extremely dim. The bathroom lighting was so dim in fact, that we took off the light cover to see if the bulbs were out. They weren’t. The shower was dirty with terrible water pressure. The door to the bathroom did not shut flush. It was partially open at all times which is uncomfortable when using the restroom. The places where there was decent counter space offered no mirror. The bathroom had no counter space. The air conditioner in the living room portion did not turn off so it was freezing. We ended up turning off that unit and using solely the bedroom unit. Halfway through our stay we needed fresh towels and called down multiple times with no answer. Finally someone answered and they then never brought us the towels we were promised. The room has no usb outlets, probably because of how outdated this hotel is. When I spoke with “Tammy” at the front desk, she stated they were out of them (for sale.) I then asked if there were any in lost and found we could borrow, and she went on and on about how people steal them from lost and found and refused to check for me. As a sworn law enforcement officer, I was offended that she would imply that I, too, would steal from lost and found. The one day we had slated to lay by the pool, it was closed for some reason. Overall, the worst experience I’ve ever had with staff and accommodations through Hilton. Routinely there was no one at the front desk to answer calls or my questions in person. I rate this Hilton location a 1 star and would give them a zero if possible.

This is absolutely the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in! This hotel needs a serious update. The phone in my room did not work. There was a huge hole behind the bed where the phone is supposed to plug into the floors had a musty wet, feel to it constantly. To control the channels on the TV You have to download an app to make it easy which is a huge inconvenience. Breakfast was nothing Special for the price. It’s cheaper and better to order delivery or just go out. The pillows had drool stains on them. There were no pillow covers only pillowcases. The comforter had stains on them. The bathroom vent was full of dust. No real ventilation in the bathrooms. The sofa bed had no sheets available. The window AC was rattling very loudly, and while working at the desk, blows cold air onto your neck, no matter where you sit in the room I had to make it really warm in the room so the AC would turn off while I’m working and sitting on the sofa. The tub had rust stains on it. The coffee in the room is horrible and unlike other Hilton hotels I have stayed at they are quick to take the coffee away downstairs. The beds are not updated. I would avoid this place. The Hilton Garden Inn in Riverview is much better. This was the second room I requested after the first room had pizza or other red stains on the sheets and the room had a moldy smell. Never again.

Definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I've seen Army barroks nicer than these rooms. The cleanliness of the hotel was so concerning its difficult to describe. Piles of hair on the bathroom floor upon check in, the shower floor was so gross I can't even imagine putting my bare foot on the floor. And stains all over the curtains. I couldn't begin to get comfortable in the room. I travel constantly for work but never again will I stay here.
