I'm not one to write reviews but I have to do this. I am deployed in Tampa and upon arriving at this hotel and seeing from the outside the condition of this hotel is very depressing. When I'm walking down the hallway I had a musty smell that I couldn't stand. When I got to the room also had the same smell, the silverware and plates were dirty, one of the lamps in the room didn't even work, the TV in the bedroom didn't turn on and on top of that the breakfast was horrible. I was supposed to stay until January but I couldn't last one more day and left in 2 days. To be honest this is the worst hotel ever. If I could give them 0 stars I would without hesitation.

The sales manager, Jennifer, is phenomenal! She ensured my team was accommodated in every way possible. This place is clean at ALL times! Great location! The staff welcomes you every time you enter the door. Housekeeping and amenities are absolutely the best! I would recommend this location to anyone on the road for a brief or extended stay. It will definitely be my home away from home anytime I’m in the Tampa, Florida area. Thank you Jennifer and the entire staff for a great stay!

Very nice and clean suite. Two good breakfasts for our busload of 30 men at a conference at The River Church whose pastor was the very first pastor in American history arrested for holding services. Thanks Dr Rodney Howard-Browne for standing against COVID tyranny.

Oh my....please, please do not evven consider staing here. Lets start with the smell, oh the smell, of the entire place. I could not wait to leave and wash everything in HOT water to kill anything I may have crawling on me. Our room got changed three times to find one I would even stay in. I would not walk around barefoot or with socks on. I got out of the shower, dryed my foot, put a sock on and stepped into a shoe. If we had not driven 14 hours that day, I would have looked elsewhere. Still should have! I still haven't brought the suitcase into the house. Not sure what to do with it. On a positive note, the hotel desk clerk tried his very best to do everything he could to make us happy. I kind of felt bad for him. We watched people walk into this place, get their room card, and walk back down with their luggage time and time again. I bet they lose more customers than actually stay here.

We booked one night here. When arriving most the parking lot lights were out and seemed very dark. We checked into our room and the smell of mold/mildew was there but could tell it was being covered up. The walls had water staining on them. The room overall felt just dirty. Skin was crawling just sitting on the couch. We turned around and left for a hotel just down the street. Would highly recommend other properties in the area before booking here.

We had a wonderful experience. Staff and amenities were great. There was a full size lotion bottle near the sink and shampoo, conditioner and body wash (full size bottles) in the shower. Breakfast was great. Hilton waffles are always delicious. Great stay, thank you.

Staff was kind. The rooms were struggling. Furniture was beat up and appeared dirty. Beds were super uncomfortable. Checked out early due to uncomfortable beds. Not sure if all rooms have the same beds. Disappointing for a Hilton. We will not stay there again for this reason.

The room was a nice size, but the walls were very thin, so you could literally hear the people in the next room and my room was facing the highway, so I heard every single car/airplane, etc. the bathroom has what looked like a little spot of black mold on the ceiling and hair on the ceiling. The sheets were covered in lint. I asked for new linen and towels, I had to ask 3 times within 4 hours because nobody brought anything. Only good thing was it was close to a good bit of stores and restaurants for a quick bite.

The property is a non smoking one. Clean. Very acceptable . There was something disgusting smeared on the door handle of the room before I touched it. It wasn’t there when I left the room, but it was there as a man was cleaning the hallway windows. When I reentered the building he held the door for me, and as I pointed out what I noticed, he did quickly wipe it away. THAT was quite off-putting. Othering, gee experience was pleasant.

Probably one of the worse Hilton brand hotels I've stayed in. We had to stay here for a soccer tournament. Checked in, went to our room and it was awful so we called down to change it. No one answered. So we walked down and the front desk guy was sitting next to the phone chilling. We asked for 2 queens and were told there were none available. So I went on the app and showed the front desk guy I could book one right then for that night. He fumbled around and eventually found it (it was accessible but he should still not have been so adamant). This room is ok but pretty mediocre. It is noisy, both keys that we left in our room (so hadn't touched my phone or anything) deactivated (I had been using my digital key). We needed towels so called for some and no one answered. So we walked down and the front desk lady was sitting next to the phone chilling. Just a really poor hotel experience all round. The other Hiltons in the area are much nicer. Just stay at those. They are the same price.

The blankets on the bed are a little small and thin. So are the bathroom linens. The road leading to the hotel is gravely (which I understand the hotel cannot fix). Other than that, it's a very nice hotel.

Update: saw this in hallway. Its sad that guest have to buy own cleaning supplies. First impressions: conveniently located by shopping center (less then a mile) and was greated by friendly staff. Older hotel and visible by the outdated decor. AC set to hot 70°F and no way make it colder. However, there is a ceiling fan.

    1. The gym is very sub-par. Two of the four cardio machines didn't work; dumbbells only up to 30lbs, no floor space for calisthenics or stretching. Very different from most Hiltons. 2. General air of age about the building; sign on the front was only half lit; smell and carpet need updating. 3. Internet is difficult to sign in, and is slow in some places at the hotel. 4. Water pressure in shower was very poor, though water was plenty warm. Overall, not a horrible experience. Staff were nice. In addition, I'd like to say that I am a loyal Hilton rewards member and only stay at Hiltons, and am overall extremely happy with the brand. However, this Homewood Suites does not meet the standards I have come to expect from this brand at this price point.

A nice extended stay hotel in the area. I wanted a place I could cook some of my own meals and feel less cramped during my weeks of training. Tammie in sales offered a very competitive rate based on the number of nights I had booked and was very responsive when I contacted her. I was given a room on the corner of the 3rd floor which was very comfortable and quiet. The outdoor pool is a nice size, it is just big enough to actually swim, not just splash about. Only wish it was on the sunny side in the evening, but it was certainly warm enough anyway. They have 2 grills for customers use, unfortunately one has a broken striker, so bring a lighter if that’s your thing. Plenty of parking. Breakfast is a bit on the light side, but I’ve not stayed at a homewood suites before. It I’ve stayed at a lot of Hampton inns, and this would be similar, but still just a bit less. The Wednesday social offered some pretty tasty items, chicken egg rolls were good along with the artichoke dip, I would have not thought to offer those together, but it worked. If you are a frequent Hilton traveler and have difficulty with Wi-Fi, be sure to delete the old hhonors networks from your devices if you have trouble connecting. For some reason, my devices did not want to connect until I had done so,. Very pleased with the Wi-Fi in my corner room, often rooms at the end of the building can have poor signal, from my experience but that’s not been the case here.

Homewood Suites is a nice hotel in Brandon, Fl off Interstate 75. We have been here for nearly 9 weeks on a work assignment. Donna attends her facility and I work out of the room on our business. All the rooms from what I can tell has little kitchenettes with full size refrigerators. It's clean, the staff is very nice and has been very helpful during our 9 week work commute. They have a great breakfast set up every morning and on Wednesday at 5pm a nice social hour with beer, wine, music, and a little food. The social hour is just being brought back after the whole covid shutdown. The social hour has been fantastic. They have a nice lobby but the pool is rather small and not particularly noteworthy. It's been a pleasurable stay. We have one more week then off on another adventure. You can follow us on Instagram @tonyndonna

Worst first impression of a "Hilton" affiliated Hotel I have ever experienced. My wife Renee, my 3 young children and I drove 15 hours to arrive at your hotel at 12:15am on 9/8/2023 to visit my Grandmother who was given a very short time to live. We arrived and waited in the lobby for 45mins before being checked in. I saw a "we will return soon" sign on the counter. When My wife walked in at 12:15am the man behind the counter looked at her as he went back into an office. He walked out at 12:50am and was talking with someone and never even greeted or even acknowledged us. My patience was thinning but I waited and politely asked the man behind the counter if he was someone who could check us in. I asked bc he was wearing what looked like a sweat shirt and had food stuck on his face and around his mouth. This young man would not look me in the eye and was very rude when he said "yes but you need to come to the front desk!". I was standing about 5ft from the counter. I told him that we had been standing here over 30 mins and we cant even get a hello from a employee. Again in a very rude tone he interrupted me and said he does not greet people in the lobby. I attempted to informed him that I have stayed at Hilton's before and never realized that the guest is required to greet the staff for service. As I was trying say this he interrupted me multiple times saying "ok, how can I help you?" He was rudely talking over me and I couldn't get a word out. I have never had an interaction like this in my life from a customer service representative. It was mind blowing. I even tried to inform him that he had food stuck on his face and he ignored me. I'm not sure as a GM or a manager I'd ever dream of having an employee like this facing my customers much less representing me, my team or my company. I spent a lot of my hard eared money on this stay to be with my grandmother in less than ideal times. I'm extremely disappointed in this interaction and my wife will never allow us to stay in a Hilton affiliated hotel again. I have always been a fan based on the customer service expectations I have read in multiple Lee Cockrell books about Hilton and their customer service. NEVER AGAIN!

There was mold all over the pillows and the around ac vents. I had breathing problems all night and when I woke up in the morning I turned my pillows over to see the mold. When I spoke to the manager, Justin, he spoke with attitude and snark just repeatedly saying “Mhmm. Mhmm. Mhmm.” including in the middle of my sentences. He replied with a snappy “What do you want me to do about it?” I had to evacuate my apartment because of mold and then where I go to stay thinking it would be a nice hotel, considering it was $180 a night, ends up having even more mold. Terrible hotel and service.

Our stays at Homewood Suites never disappoint. We have been Hilton Honors members for over 20 years. We appreciate the friendly and clean service. This was our first time staying in Tampa and we were not disappointed. It’s truly a home away from home.

Best hotel I have ever stayed at. Employees all around were great. Food was great, rooms were clean. I had to stay while my home was getting renovated and they made me not miss home so much by how good they were. Thanks guys 😊

The room was very nice, even had a small kitchen where we could prepare meals if we wanted to. The pool was well maintained, and in a nice location. The only problem we ran into was the guest laundry which only accepted coins. Other than that, it was an excellent stay.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Close to the highway. Lots of places to eat in the area. The room was nice. Small kitchenette with a two burner stove, full size fridge, small microwave and equipped with your everyday utensils/pans/glassware. A cutting board was provided. One dish towel and a small bottle of dish soap. Full bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body gel provided in the shower. Pull out couch in the den. Overall, it was a nice pet friendly hotel. The breakfast was good and they have a social event on Wednesday’s evening with free food and drinks.

Elizabeth at the front desk was amazing! Very helpful and personable with the patience of a kindergarten teacher (as were all the front desk staff) as the weekend we were there, the hotel seemed full with lots of kids running around from morning until late at night. The location was perfect for the sporting event that we attended with the fields and dining close by. Downtown Tampa was also close. Our 2B, 2 BR suite was perfect for the four of us. We did have some trouble with 2 of the TVs (didn't try the 3rd) where some channels would show on one but not the other along with one of the TV's flashing on and off randomly. I tried disconnecting the cable line and reconnecting it on one of the TV's and that seemed to help a little. The sofa and chair could by updated or at the very least, have a very deep clean. They looked old & dated. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Plenty of coffee, yogurt, banana's, muffins, etc. Not a fan of eggs, bacon, etc. but they had that too along with a few other things. Took a quick look in the pantry and everything in there seemed way overpriced and I didn't buy anything. They had a nice pool area, BBQ area with grills for the guests to use, tables with umbrellas and a half-court basketball hoop area. Overall, if we have to make another trip to Tampa for the same sporting event, we would stay there again.
