Mixed
Experience
at
Hampton
Inn,
Ybor
City:
Rude
Front
Desk,
Exceptional
Housekeeping
and
Breakfast
Crew
My
recent
stay
at
Hampton
Inn
in
Ybor
City
was
a
mix
of
positive
and
negative
experiences
that
I
would
like
to
share.
While
the
hotel
itself
offered
decent
amenities,
including
a
friendly
breakfast
crew
and
efficient
housekeeping
staff,
I
was
disappointed
by
the
rude
and
condescending
attitude
displayed
by
the
ladies
at
the
check-in
and
checkout
counters.
From
the
moment
I
arrived,
the
check-in
process
was
marred
by
the
unprofessional
behavior
of
the
ladies
at
the
front
desk.
Instead
of
greeting
me
with
a
warm
welcome,
their
demeanor
was
cold
and
unwelcoming.
They
seemed
disinterested
in
addressing
my
queries
and
lacked
basic
customer
service
skills.
Their
dismissive
attitude
left
a
sour
taste
in
my
mouth
and
set
the
tone
for
my
stay.
Fortunately,
amidst
this
disappointing
experience,
there
were
a
few
individuals
who
stood
out
for
their
exceptional
service.
Firstly,
the
housekeeping
staff
deserves
praise
for
their
friendliness
and
dedication.
They
consistently
ensured
that
my
room
was
clean,
well-stocked,
and
comfortable
throughout
my
stay.
Their
professionalism
and
attention
to
detail
were
commendable.
Additionally,
the
breakfast
crew
was
a
breath
of
fresh
air.
They
greeted
guests
with
warm
smiles
and
were
always
ready
to
assist.
Their
positive
energy
and
willingness
to
accommodate
dietary
preferences
made
the
breakfast
experience
enjoyable.
I
appreciate
their
efforts
in
providing
a
pleasant
start
to
the
day.
Lastly,
I
must
acknowledge
a
gentleman
who
I
believe
was
the
manager.
He
was
a
shining
example
of
excellent
customer
service.
He
was
genuinely
friendly,
always
ready
to
assist
guests,
and
seemed
to
go
above
and
beyond
to
ensure
everyone's
satisfaction.
His
approachability
and
dedication
were
evident,
and
he
was
quick
to
address
any
concerns
or
issues
that
arose.
However,
it
is
disheartening
to
note
that
the
check-in
and
checkout
ladies
were
consistently
rude
and
condescending,
not
only
to
me
but
also
to
other
guests
in
my
company.
Their
lack
of
professionalism
and
courtesy
left
us
feeling
unwelcome
and
undervalued
as
guests.
In
conclusion,
my
stay
at
Hampton
Inn,
Ybor
City
was
a
mixture
of
positive
and
negative
experiences.
While
I
applaud
the
efforts
of
the
housekeeping
staff,
breakfast
crew,
and
the
friendly
gentleman
who
appeared
to
be
the
manager,
the
behavior
of
the
check-in
and
checkout
ladies
was
disappointing.
I
hope
the
hotel
management
takes
this
feedback
seriously
and
addresses
the
need
for
improved
customer
service,
ensuring
a
more
consistent
and
pleasant
experience
for
all
guests.
