This hotel or shall I say motel is absolutely disgusting. Let’s start with the first red flag, there were a bunch of people hanging out outside of this motel doing god knows what. The inside was completely outdated and just looked all around trashy, we checked in and went to our room and it was disgusting. The ceiling had black moldy spots all over it and the floors were disgusting. There was a roach on the floor as soon as we walked in, not to mention we had 3 kids ages 5, 2, and 11 months. We also saw roaches on the walls and the toilet had black smudge marks all over it. The beds were hard as a rock and only had 1 pillow per bed. We also paid for 2 queen beds and there were actually 2 twin beds instead. The room reeked and it was just an all around bad experience. My 5 year old woke up with a huge rash all over her body and is now sick. Do not stay here, spend the extra $$$ and stay somewhere that’s worth it instead.

Rooms are disgusting, carpet in the room is dirty mold in the bathroom. Roaches in the room and the manager and his entire staff is rude. With the exception of the young lady that has a pleasant attitude and is a people person. Is truly charging 150.00 a night for a nasty room. Don't believe the hype about the rooms being renovated. You can only paint over mold so many times. Don't go here absolutely horrible. Wish I could give it zero stars.

This hotel is horrible, it's a pure shame Wyndham has its name associated with this place. I filed a complaint with Wyndham about the hotel not having hot water but they didn't say anything about it until I approached them about not having hot water. The hotel's response was the water heater guy supposedly fixed it but they weren't sure if it was fixed for all rooms or just some, they would contact the repair man and find out if it was fixed did they notify me about his response? No. Also I spoke to them and advised them that I was traveling to the hotel and wasn't sure of my arrival time, they advised me that everything was okay and they'll see me when I arrived. Once I got there they said they charged me a nights fee for being a no show because I arrived after 5am. They didn't advised me of this on the phone, also they cancel my other days of my reservation. So I had to rebook a new reservation and pay a $20 early check in fee because I was so exhausted and wanted to sleep so I did whatever it took so I could get some rest. It's also ridiculous that the smoking area was located right by the front entrance so everyone checking was greeted with a cloud of smoke and also there was a homeless man and in front as well drinking beer and making the property look like a homeless substance abuse facility. Only good thing about the hotel was the housekeepers and one of the front desk staff. Wyndham is telling me they don't have jurisdiction to correct the situation. I wish it was some justice that could happen because this is ridiculous

Everything about the place was ideal except for the staff that is the day staff sucked however the night crew was amazing especially the young man who fixed the issue with my room. The toilet continued to run onto the floor all night but the day staff did nothing to rectify the issue but the night staff moved me to another room without hesitation. Taken room had no issues

I can't help but express my disappointment as I recount my numerous grievances with this establishment. Sadly, I can already anticipate an insincere response from the owner, desperately attempting to salvage their reputation amidst the sea of negative reviews. The wear and tear on this place is painfully evident; a grim reminder of its age. It seems that every flaw has been carelessly concealed beneath hasty layers of paint, leaving an unmistakable air of negligence. The presence of rust on any metal surface only serves to further accentuate the neglect that permeates this establishment. In one harrowing moment, a colossal roach, grotesque and repugnant, fell from the bathroom fan, landing upon my father as he innocently went about his business. The shock and disgust that washed over us cannot be understated. And yet, this singular incident merely scratches the surface of the abysmal state within. Even upon entering the lobby, one is greeted by a myriad of unclean furniture, as if the concept of cleanliness had fled long ago. Furthermore, an eerie haze, akin to smoke, pervades the third-floor corridor due to the “air fresheners” and did little to conceal the stench of cigarettes. The elevator, a towering testament to negligence, stood as a stark reminder of the inadequacy of this establishment. Its outdated appearance, reminiscent of a time long forgotten, would be better suited in a dimly lit housing project than within these walls. And then, to add insult to injury, a putrid mound of excrement lay outside the side exit, a feast for swarms of flies that hovered mercilessly, disregarding boundaries and inflicting further disgust upon an already nauseating experience. I vow never to subject myself to another revolting La Quinta experience. This place, this so-called accommodation, is an abomination, a desecration to the definition of cleanliness and comfort. While I acknowledge that the customer service was tolerable, devoid of any explicit rudeness, and the breakfast, albeit mediocre, did warrant the addition of an extra star, however it does little to rectify the vile environment and the overall revulsion I associate with this establishment.

Father’s Day weekend stay was good. Rooms were clean and plenty of towels. Our ceiling had a huge water stain showing a leakage problem in the hotel. We were on the second floor. There is a charge for early check in, even though your room is ready. Continental Breakfast was great. Was told there was no Wi-Fi and no exercise room. Checkout was quick and easy.

for the price, this place is very nice. The rooms have hardwood floors, so no stinky carpets. The room had a nice clean smell. everything worked, the lights, the remote, the phone, etc. The bed was soft and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't great but being for free, it was fine.

The hotel is dated to say the least and I do not recommend! The ladies working at the front were nice. I cannot believe Wyndham is associated with this property. The ice machine is rusty, smoke filled hallways, marijuana, heavily used and can be smelled throughout the hallways, the smell of urine, the elevator is disgusting, and hotel in a horrible location. The photos on the website are very misleading as hotel does not look like this in person. We went and asked if we could be refunded and we were told no! The night we showed up. There were two officers in the hotel, asking questions and the girl bluntly said I have no information to help you. They stayed outside and kept going around the hotel for at least 30 minutes. We were afraid to go back out of the hotel to go get a few things at 9:30 PM. We decided to shower, and the water was lukewarm at best and the water pressure was lousy. When mentioned it to the front desk, the response was the hot water heater was worked on , seriously! The clientele that this hotel attracts is not good and is a safety concern. We decided to go for breakfast at Bob Evans and. We were greeted with six undercover officers canvassing the area. Well tell me it’s safe we don’t think so. We checked out Friday by 9AM because we couldn’t take anymore but had to pay till Sunday. Believe your company needs to take a good hard look at this property and think if you want your name to be part of it as well who would’ve thought this about Wyndham.

Nasty. Roaches, mattresses have all kinds of stains including blood, mold in bathroom and the room smells like an old building. I wish I would have checked the mattress before I slept on that nasty nasty bed. Lobby is a sure sign of what not to expect from this business. I had to ask for a clean shower curtain because the one that was already there was filthy. This hotel is a place I would never go to again ever. I have photos, but it's for the health department and code enforcement. I really wish I could share the photos, but they are disgusting. DON'T LET THE PICTURES FOOL YOU 😕🙁☹️😳

We were in town for my granddaughters 6th birthday party. We just needed a place to relax after a long drive. The hotel is undergoing renovation and what they have done so far is great. The halls were clean and the walls have been painted. The room was a nice size. Large desk which I used to wrap gifts. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and there was several things to choose from. The only things that need to be done is new window coverings. I had to use clothes pins to keep the curtain closed. The bath room was clean. It would have been easier if the toilet was higher up. It was very low like a kindergarten size. The door going to the hall has a gap . If there was a fire smoke would come very quickly into the room. Overall our stay was good. Staff was very friendly.

First night here there was a party a couple doors down and this is suppose to be a smoke-free establishment, but they hot boxed their room and flooded our side of the hotel with smoke. Those people got kicked out and police were involved. Third night someone else in the same vicinity was smoking and you could smell it out in the hall. I called the front desk and they said there was nothing that they can do but talk to them and they would get a penalty. And I won’t forget to mention that there were a couple roaches in our room the first night but none after. Won’t be staying here again and I would rather just pay the extra $30 for somewhere else.

This was one of the best hotels I ever stayed at with me and my kids. My kids enjoyed the pool so much, it was very clean. I loved the staff and the room. Very comfortable and clean. I’m usually hesitant about staying at hotels or usually uncomfortable staying in hotels. But this hotel made my family and I feel at home. Breakfast was so good and my kids enjoyed their hot waffles also. Would definitely bring my family there again!! The front desk staff was also very welcoming and kind to my family

Mike at the front desk was really great! He went out of his way on several occasions to provide service that was above and beyond standard responsibilities. Having him there was honestly the highlight. Great guy! Hallways smell of weed, side door constantly being propped open was a security concern. Nice continental breakfast. Place was full but reasonably quiet. Location was centrally located and near plenty of fun activities, but didn’t always feel the safest.

This hotel is simply an upscale motel 6. And as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I needed it for one night and it served it's purpose. Not as clean as I would of liked but clean enough for me to stay over night. The bathroom had some mold in the shower, the room doors could definitely use some painting. The best thing about it was the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. That's why I gave it 3 stars. If I'm in a bind I would probably stay here again, if I have time to plan my trip I would not stay here.

Roaches everywhere! You came here for a review. Look at what we’re all saying below because it’s true. I should have listened to the reviews. But I was a same day booking. So take heed and do not book this location unless you like sleeping with critters. For about $30-$40 bucks more a night you can stay 10mins away at way better hotels.

I had previously stayed here for a month, and I had a very positive experience. Super clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. I recently came back a few months later and my experience has been even better. Everything is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The bed is comfortable and it’s very quiet. Over a total of over a month staying here, I am very please with pretty much everything this hotel has to offer. It is also very fairly priced compared to other hotels in the area. I’d highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, I paid $268 for two nights, and stayed for 1 hour. The room was run down, but the SMELL, it was so bad I was gagging. It smelled like a portopotty. I literally ran out of the room and even left behind my charger and some clothes because I was about to vomit from the smell. I wouldn’t want me worst enemy to stay at this hotel. I’m disgusted, and upset that I was ROBBED of almost $300. I do NOT recommend.

If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and fun stay in Brandon, look no further than the La Quinta Inn & Suites. You're guaranteed to have an excellent experience from check-in to check-out. Excellent Employees Rocio, the general manager, is always present and ready to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Bri who works the front desk, always has a smile on her face and always helped me with the Wi-Fi when I couldn't remember how to add it to my devoices. She is also very friendly and helpful. Erik and Bri who are personal favorites of mine always greets you with a smile or something funny to say and quick to resolve any issues that may arise. Cant leave out Gerardo from Maintenance. He came morning , afternoon, or night if we needed assistance with anything at all in our room. The breakfast at La Quinta is top-notch. They offer a variety of options, including eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and waffles. The best part? It's all included in the price of your room. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, there's something for everyone. Excellent Prices One of the standout features of La Quinta is their excellent prices. They offer affordable rates on their rooms, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers. Additionally, they don't require a deposit, which is a huge plus for those who are looking to save money. ** We benefit from their weekly rate which is the lowest in town** Extremely Cold Air Conditioning One thing to note is that the air conditioning at La Quinta is extremely cold. There is nothing worse than spending money and time at a hotel that is stuffy and hot. Excellent feature to this hotel. Quietness at Night One of the best features of La Quinta is the quietness at night. The hotel is located in a relatively secluded area, which means there is minimal noise from the outside. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to get a good night's sleep. Cleanliness of the Rooms The rooms at La Quinta are clean and well-maintained. The pillow top beds are comfortable, and the linens are fresh and clean. The bathrooms are also clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. You're guaranteed to have a memorable experience. After leaving a different reservation at an unaffiliated hotel due to a slew of unacceptable issues we were in awe of this establishment. It's not a Hilton but it is clean with crisp WHITE linens. In our double room the bathroom came stocked with 4 towels and all the hygiene/cosmetic supplies we could possibly use. Not to mention they were all Dove brand. The front desk was quick, efficient whilst being friendly. My only negative thought is the unruly crowd that gathered outside as the sun was setting making it rather uncomfortable to walk my dog

Nice quiet hotel with excellent location. Front desk staff was very eager to help and was so knowledgeable. The nice lady with wavy red hair was so sweet and energetic. She even gave me recommendations for places to eat. Before helping me she was helping a foreign guest order a pizza. Who does that? She is awesome! It feels so great to encounter friendly and fun staff when checking into a hotel after a tough day. Room was cozy. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was nice. I will definitely be back!

This Hotel is one of the cleanest in the area! The rooms always have a fresh lavender smell and they always have their linen CRISPY WHITE! I’m a regular but this is just ridiculous all the bad reviews I see are all from people who probably don’t even stay the night! But this hotel is known for the front desk and housekeeping staff there so friendly and accommodating they solve any issues asap and that’s what is needed these days! I have some pics as well from the rooms I’ve been in and they always smell nd look as clean as they should I come for any family occasion or if I’m around nd I’m to tired to drive back home

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dozens of cigar butts just in front as you enter, hallway smelled of cigarettes. Room had dead bugs in window ledge. Never have I seen a hotel with zero carpet in a room before. Absolutely no place to walk or pee our dog. Thankfully, it was only for 1 night.

I really wanted to like this hotel because it's near PCHA, dog friendly, and affordable. The staff was nice, but the common areas were filthy.. the floors look like they hadn't been mopped or vacuumed in months. Our room was clean but there was a huge gash in my towel - part of it was missing. I think this location has a lot of corporate clients and just stopped trying. I think

Love their no hassle dog friendliness. Most staff are friendly, extra shout out to Rosia who runs a tight ship with service-oriented staff. Nice free breakfast. Despite an unfortunate incident (in another room) during our stay, the staff maintained their professionalism and never skipped a beat.

I would give a -10 for this location. The outside was a first sign. It was not very nice. Then go inside it looks even worse. The first room we got stinks so bad of mildew and smoke and very old. Spoke to the so call manager. He said “I don’t smell anything “. But finely changed our room with an “Attitude “. The second room was a little better but so old looking. The sheets, the one blanket and towels were so old and thin. We checked in on Thursday and on Saturday late morning, I asked at the front desk if they floor could mop the floor because my husband spilled lemonade and for fresh towels. Came back after 5pm and nothing was done. I ask the front desk and said don’t know if anyone is still here as is housekeeping. Then I ask for towels for now and the manager said need to bring the other towels. I told my husband and he goes to front desk which I didn’t go with him. He said the so call “manager” said that was not his job to go to the room and get the towels. And there was another individual at the front desk that he felt threatened. There is more to this but at the end, they called the sheriff and we were escorted off the premises. The “motel” is ghetto and very rundown. They claim it was newly renovated. I also called the Wyndam corporate and said they could not help us because the sheriff was called. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I was able to check-in using the Wyndham app but what use is that when I still have to go to the front desk to get my keys? The staff is friendly and helpful but the rooms need some maintenance. The floors were nice though. The tub felt like there was a hole in it that was covered by the non skid mat. The thermostat on the wall didn't work and the older style window/wall AC wasn't blowing cold. I had the temp down to 60 and the room wasn't unbearably warm but it wasn't anywhere close to 60. The desk in the room needs to be replaced, I don't know WHY they tried to "fix" it. I wouldn't even dare to lean against it. It's a cheap place and will give you a place to lay your head but don't expect much.

La Quinta inn is by no means a bad place to stay. But as customers we can never tell what type of service we will receive at our selected inn. It is an uncomfortable experience when we who PAY are challenged by Quinta staff. That will not stand. We can not pretend that it’s environmental conditioning to behave and talk back to customers. It is not ok on many levels. Economic studies explain that very thoroughly. The point of this review is to bring attention to a specific issue. Multiple individuals in and outside my family stay have had what i can consider a cook for breakfast at this hotel, rudely react to customers in need for either information or goods, on top of that when requesting to have the manager take action, shamefully we understood she had no control over who she managed. Then when we felt video evidence was necessary we captured the manager neglecting our requests. We could have helped by bringing this situation to the proper chain of command but the manager had pride in its decision making and we left with bad memories of this place. We would love to give this place a second chance someday but if ever there was a need to stay in this Quinta with this staff we would refuse and take our chances elsewhere. For anyone else who finds this review helpful, help and get this views and critically evaluated if it was wrong from the perspective of a paying customer. There is a better video as the complaintent took her self much closer but this is what I got. I encourage others to bravely come forward with their experiences, to better establish this hotel for a comfortable stay, on the next visit.
