The hotel is a 7-minute drive to the airport. There are many food options within walking and a large mall within a short drive or long walk. The football stadium is also just a short drive as well. The staff was kind and got us checked in quickly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable as were the linens. The bathroom was clean as well with a shower and tub combo. Other Amenities: - Free WiFi - Outdoor pool and spa - Mini fridge and microwave - Fitness room - Laundry room -Business center - Hot continental breakfast - Eggs tasted a bit fake but they also had cereal, and bagels. The hotel had a mask policy in place while in the hotel but could be removed while eating and drinking. All the the amenities were open during my stay.

Two words, Bed Bugs. My family and I were already exhausted enough from moving. We booked here for a nights stay. The room we were in on the 2nd floor was bed bug infested. I only noticed because I went to plug in my charger then noticed something crawling on my pillow. Then I jumped off the bed quick and saw multiple bed bugs on my pillow. Then as we inspected the bed more we noticed bed bugs crawling on different spots of the bed. There had to be at least 20 we spotted. I immediately called down to the front desk. They apologized and then moved us upstairs to a different room. They allowed us to inspect this room before agreeing to sleep in it for the night. We inspected every inch of that new room by the beds, floor and headboard. The hotel staff were friendly and responsive so that’s why I didn’t give this a 1 star. But my goodness bedbugs are a nightmare, and they can travel home with you easily, and cost thousands to get rid of from your home!

If you want your complimentary bottle of water, better ask for it at check in. None in the room and when I asked later, response was “it’s a bit late for that now”, “we’re not a full service hotel like the Marriott across the street”. I don’t consider a bottle of water even close to full service.. I seek out hotels with waffle stations for breakfast. This place had them, out and on but both mornings had no waffle batter available - so it was a cruel tease. I asked and they said they had no more… Some folks got them, but I guess the early bird gets the waffles… I was there well before end of breakfast hours. Turkey sausage was downright awful on first day. Pork sausage was much better the next day. Eggs were not great, and downright cold the second day. Fruit selection was pretty much gone and “they had no more”… This location is on my do not return list. Marriott seems to be sliding overall a bit (always been my top choice and usually have been rewarded for my loyalty, no perks here at all despite “elite” status), but this location set the low bar for any stays in recent years. Marriott - if you want to contact me, call me - you have all my details and history. Don’t respond to this post with a number to call.

Absolutely the kindest, wonderful staff we've ever had. We stayed prior to a cruise and after checking in received word of a death in our immediate family. We had to cancel the cruise and leave and the Marriott staff were so compassionate and did everything they could for us. We love this property and look forward to returning!! Thank you all

Nice hotel in a very convenient location. You're in Westshore and close to downtown Tampa or a quick hop on the interstate to St Pete. Lots of retail and food/restaurants around. Hotel was clean and up to date, outside, in the lobby and rooms. The rooms were laid out nicely. My king room had a very nice West Elm couch that pulls out. The shower and toilet shut with a door. There is a vanity mirror and sink separate. The breakfast was typical and did the job in a pinch. There's plenty of close options if you have a budget. Would stay here again. Felt safe, clean, modern and comfortable.

I wish Google would let me rate 0 stars, because if I could, I would rate this Springhill 0/5. Upon entering, the staff was extremely rude. Evita and staff were not accommodating and were citing all sorts of false information regarding Tampa law. They told us to leave and stay at another Mariott when we tried to ask for the manager, Sandy Hill. They canceled our reservation while we were talking to them because of “bad behavior” and told us to leave. We had to speak to Corporate Mariott. It was hideous on the outside anyways so I probably wouldn’t even bother if you were considering staying here. Don’t waste your time.

Had the pleasure of staying here. John was delightful at checking making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. John also gave us a map of the dining availability in our area and shared with us the local hot spots. Our continental breakfast was delicious both mornings, hot and fresh. Our room was clean and comfortable. Tried a couple items from the market for a late night snack, was not disappointed. Even had the opportunity to louge poolside which including the hot tub, was a plus!

I loved the room. I had a few small issues, but they were rectified. I would definitely stay here again.

Spent the night to be close to surgery center for next morning. Very cold AC, nice large room, comfortable bed. 95° temps and pool was filthy, we could not use it.

Would love an in house restaurant/bar. Even something small. Great room, friendly check in person. Breakfast was average.

I stayed here for 5 days for business. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff at the front desk always greeted me as I came and went no matter the time of day. Even when returning around lunchtime, housekeeping greeted me in the hallway by my room. Most of the time, the staff was out of sight and out of mind. Very pleasant experience. Lost 1 star in the room because the one trash can in the room is very small, and since housekeeping is only done every other day on multi-day visits, the can got full pretty quickly. Also the TV's HDMI input for personal devices is actually on the "cable box" (I don't know - maybe it's satellite) which is mounted behind the TV stand and very hard to reach. But once I found it, I was able to play games on my Switch and get it online with no problems. ... Minor issues for sure. The location lost a star because the driveway is only enterable from one direction. If coming from the other direction, it's hard to figure out where to u-turn if you didn't find the back entrance yet and hopefully that gate is open. ... Also very minor issue, but that's about it. Oh, the free continental breakfast every morning is good. Eggs, sausage links or patties, a few different cereals, a few yogurt flavors, juice, coffee, bagels, muffins, waffles every other day, mostly the usual. Was always good and hot.

Both day and night staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, good internet, built-in USB chargers in lamps, decent offerings for the comp breakfast, 10-20 min walking distance to several dining options, Westshore Plaza is an 8 min walk. Snack store on the corner. Never used the pool nor gym but looked good. Would stay again 👍🏻.

got stuck in tampa after a cancelled flight and stayed at this hotel near the airport. the staff was super friendly and helpful. the airport shuttle was easy to book. we all enjoyed the free breakfast and pool. only docked one star because the rooms are teeny tiny and the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. aside from that, great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stay near the tampa airport.

Great location for visiting for a Buccs game. Rooms are great, facilities such as the gym, pool and hot tub are amazing. I can say the staff do their job here and police noise complaint rules... because they made me shut my music off ha ha. Great experience overall.

Remember to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! Had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from. Front desk staff was extremely accommodating with flight cancellations they extended our checkout. They booked us a shuttle to the airport and stored our luggage for the day. Pool was great. Would come back.

This place looks OLD inside. It has furniture in front of the elevators that doesn’t belong and makes it look odd. The breakfast is so so. That being said, the room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfortable. Note, the double beds were two full beds (not queens). Staff was very pleasant!

My experience was excellent! Since I arrive to front desk and I was assisted by a sweet woman, and also when i took my breakfast I was assisted by Mr. Eli Carlos.

Front desk staff excellent! John and Evita very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast attendant very hardworking, kept everything full and clean. Hotel a bit dated but clean and comfortable. A/C unit in room pretty noisy but all in all good stay and would return.

I did like staying in the hotel. Was my first time and it wasn't a bad experience. The front desk team are courteous and know what to do. About location, it is really close to some activities like nice restaurants, movie theater and a mall. Nothing really out of the ordinary. The downside is that the breakfast is not that great. Have had better breakfast in other hotels. Overall great experience, clean hotel and nice design. Recommended for a budget friendly and kids stay.

While the rooms are clean and relatively nice, they are rather dark (though, that seems to be a Springhill Suites thing in general). What really stood out about this one is their breakfast, and not in a good way. Both times I've been here, I think it's been the worst hotel breakfast that I've had. The selection is very small, and the scrambled eggs are way more plastic-y than I would have thought possible. The hotel staff was all very friendly and courteous, but man, that breakfast is bad enough I think I'll be looking for somewhere else to stay next time I'm in Tampa.

Told at check-in - they unequivocally will not service my room if I stay 2 nights in the same room (I asked twice) but they will charge the same both nights. No discount for lessor service but added rudeness & indifference is free. Moving hotels in the AM. Now they lose 100% of the revenue & are not sold out either night. Wonder why? I will never be back. Suggest you stay away.

Good hotel overall, rooms all have air conditioning and you also get morning breakfast and a gym and pool to use with utilities in each room and a working wifi connection. But you can't change the A/C temperature for whatever reason.

Stayed there for a night to catch a flight the next day. Hotel was looking pretty beat up and old. We were given a room on the first floor and it had some bugs. Bathroom and room was clean otherwise. Hotel needs an upgrade.

Staff was awesome, we came from Canada our flight got changed from morning to night, their shuttle bus came back to the airport to get us and they gave our room back to us until 6pm. The rooms and hotel was very clean. Thank you so much Sandy and staff.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. I travel for work and by far this is the best place I’ve stayed in a while. John at the front desk was sooo helpful and nice the whole stay. My room was super clean and anything I needed they were right there to help. I’m so grateful to have such a great stay here. 15/10 recommend this place. No complaints about anything ! Y’all did amazing thank you again !

Everyone we spoke with was personable and welcoming. They remembered our names and some of our kids! The convenience of being so close to the airport and the shuttle provided for free, allowed us to save money on our rental car. The room was clean, and the pool was refreshing. The food was as you would expect for a continental breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when we are back in Tampa.

The front desk staff is awesome. They're incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and everything was in good shape. The AC is cold and there was plenty of coffee in the room.

Visited from Seattle, the beds were super comfortable. Really cool trundle bed couch. Free parking is nice. Pool and hot tub. Only issue was the shower curtain was too short and water sprayed all over the floor, which is tile and very slippery if wet.

Very poor customer service. I have Been a very loyal guest staying 6-8 nights per month for past six months. Will find another hotel that appreciates my business

Some aspects of the hotel were slightly dated but, all-in-all, it was a pleasant stay. The front desk staff were welcoming and it is a pretty convenient and easy location. On a less busy side street with a well lit parking lot.

I was here from 28 Nov 21 to 27 Feb 22. It was an unacceptable stay. I was here on military orders and was booked here. When the new year started, the hotel system overcharged me hundreds of dollars and I had to be credited back. It would constantly overcharge me throughout my stay. This causes issues when it comes to reimbursement from the military. The hotel did not know that my room did not have a phone line and it took them 2 months to tell me. The laundry machines constantly malfunctioned or ate my quarters. The ice machines were broken for 7+ weeks and the front desk didn't even know until I told them and every time I asked for an update, they were surprised it was broken. They didn't even know that multiple ice machines were broken. The maids accidentally turned my fridge temp dial while cleaning and approx $120 worth of food and drinks spoiled when thawed out or exploded. The maids then lost some of my clothes when they cleaned my bed sheets. One constant factor in all this was that none of the staff was communicating with each other with anything and only after all this did they say that they held a meeting to communicate more. I don't think it should take all this to do something that you should already be doing. I haven't been compensated/reimbursed for my lost food or clothes. Quite frankly, I'm going to recommend to the government travel office to not book anymore travelling service members in this hotel.
