When I arrived at your Hotel in Tampa, I wore an expensive sports coat and button down shirt which I hung in the closet for a ceremony I didn’t have until the weekend. When I went to check out, I forgot to check the closet, and left without the clothing items. Knowing I did this, I immediately called the front desk after I hit the check out button on your mobile app to ensure they could secure my coat since I had just checked out minutes before. I even told them I could be back later that same day to secure my items. They told me they’d look for my items and call me as soon as they found them, and I thought that the issue would be resolved rather easily. Hours went by, and I did not receive word of them finding anything, which I found strange considering the promptness of my call after check out. I called a second time, asking if they had found my items, and they said they were still looking. It was at this moment that I knew I should check for myself. I drove over to your hotel, and asked the front desk for a third time if they’d found my items I’d left. They said they would check. The front desk worker went up to the room Id been in, came back down and said the room had been cleaned already and the items were gone- roughly 5 hours after I’d checked out. Obviously the room was going to be cleaned, and in this case, emptied, by then. They then told me to wait 20 minutes until the housekeeping staff ended their rounds to see if they’d picked anything up on their carts. I told them I couldn’t wait, and if they found my items after the housekeeping staff came down, to call me immediately. An hour passed, and I did not receive a call. I called back, a fourth time, and they said they'd not found anything. The point is, I arrived at your establishment, and on the first day, I hung my clothes and didn’t touch them during the duration of my stay. They were in that room the day I left, and when I returned to retrieve them, they were gone. I do not want to point fingers- this is not the reason for this rating. Customer service goes a long way in this business, and I believe your establishment did not meet expectations to secure my items after I’d called immediately. I’m not numb to your situation- I understand your hotel is probably short staffed and over worked. But to take 30 seconds to go up an elevator to a room to grab clothes after my first initial call wouldn’t have taken much effort- about a minute in my estimation. For the sake of other patrons staying at your establishment, please ensure you have their trust in your best interest, because you have lost mine, and I will not be returning.

So, I stayed at this hotel on 1/21, because I was in the state on a business trip and need a hotel for the night. I waited in line for about 15 minute while the front desk person assisted another customer. When she finished with that customer, I walked up to the counter to check in, and the desk person looked to the complete opposite side of me and attempted to help another customer who was a white male. I then stated, I am next, and she continued looking at the white customer to assist him and ignored me. He then stated, “he is next”. She looked at me with a frustrated affect and begin to check me in. In an attempt to calm this front desk person’s frustration, I stated, “you can help him first”. After helping the white customer, she went back into checking me in. When I asked her why she performed this way, she threw up her hands and stated, “I am not trying to argue”. Shocked at this employee’s behavior, I didn’t say anything else. Clearly, she didn’t want to serve me because of my race. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Friendly staff, great full buffet breakfast, clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent location with other hotels situated nearby. "World of Beer" a few feet away for drinks and food. Free parking and no wait when asked for extra towels. Better than expected.

The hotel was very nice. Clean, comfortable, modern. The rooms were well designed, making good use of the space. The front desk receptionist Denise was so nice and informative, and providing a much kinder experience than the clerk the evening before. The location is perfect for any stay in Tampa, from the travel to destinations to the amenities nearby. It's about a 5 minute Lyft ride to Raymond James Stadium, 8-10 min drive to the heart of downtown and close to the highways providing a perfect getaway to the beaches. Add in the free breakfast and parking, and you got a hotel well worth the stay.

I wouldn't choose to stay at this property again. The beds are super uncomfortable, there were no drawers to speak of in the room for storing clothes, no safe to keep valuables - and most of all No Housekeeping!!! When we are paying over $200 a night I think that they can come in and make the beds and give us fresh towels. I stayed at an actual Hilton property in January and they did that - no questions. This shouldn't be by request. Breakfast was great. Hotel was clean and seemed recently remodeled. Surface Parking was limited - otherwise you were in a parking garage. It was okay.

One of the nicest stays I have had in awhile. Super nice people work here, very friendly and helpful to out-of-towners. Big room with nice desk for work. Pretty good fitness center, although there was some broken equipment-there was still other equipment to use. Very nice breakfast. Quiet, even though it is close to the airport. Very convenient location for air travelers, both in and out. So would I stay here again? Definitely.

Traveling with a 1yr old and arrive to broken glass across the bathroom floor and just outside the bathroom. Arrived close to 10pm. Requested someone to come vacuum but was told it wasn't possible...so I got the vacuum and did it myself only to discover a comb next to the bed and even more filth on the floor. Can't recall the last time I was in such a dirty hotel room. There are plenty of options around in the area. Choose something other than this hotel. Karla at the front desk was excellent. The GM couldn't be bothered from his weekend to make a 5 minute call to a customer to right the wrong. The hotel may reply to this saying that we were compensated. And yes, they took about $100 off one night of that one room. Laughably insufficient considering what would have happened had my kid gotten hurt by the glass. But the GM is laughing all the way to the bank because we rented 3 rooms for 2 nights and paid full price for the rest.

Our flight got in late but we were able to call the hotel for a ride from the hotels shuttle service. We only stayed the one night but the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. The property was very nice with an outdoor pool and a fire pit.

Housekeeping needed to be requested each day but we preferred that. It was a nice, clean hotel. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom / shower were excellent. Really good location as well. Close to airport but sounds of it weren’t distracting. Sunset from hotel was nice.

Minutes from the airport, close to expressways. This place was impressively clean. Every staff member I encountered during my week long stay was friendly. They have free parking in a garage on-site. Pool, fitness center and free breakfast were all good.

We were here for the fishing in Tampa Bay and to spend time with family. The staff was gracious. The rooms were clean. Location was perfect. We enjoyed our breakfast together each morning. Will definitely return.

UNSAFE I would give zero stars of I could. I've stayed here four other times but this was the worst and last time. The service has gone down tremendously. I checked in using the app and received a digital key. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist states they stop giving out bottled water to Hilton Honors members eventhough it was 95 degrees. More problematic, she said someone had already checked into the room I had a digital key for (safety issue #1). If I would've went straight to the room, I would've walked in on other guests. Although the "manager on duty" sign had a name, she wasn't there. Nicole said she was going to call me when a manager arrived but she didn't. And she wasn't concerned about safety issues. The breakfast is terrible. The potatoes looked they were raw. And then guests were using the utensils for meat to get their eggs and potatoes so if guests were vegetarian that was an issue. I was traveling with someone who got locked out of the room. The front desk gave her the room number without calling me or verifying her ID. She wasn't on the room either (safety issue #2). Then the room doors were difficult to close (safety issue #3). There was only a lamp in the room, which made it difficult to see. The bathroom sink was stopped up.

Denise and Nicole were so awesome and pleasant! This was definitely added to my favorite hotel stays. Everything was great, rooms were big, clean and comfortable. The only thing I have to say is that the bed skirts need to be changed and second the tub is very slippery even though there was a mat to place in the tub it was still very slippery I recommend larger mats that cover more because someone can really get hurt. Otherwise this is my go to hotel when I’m in Tampa!!!

On arrival, I noticed that the 2nd floor hallway had new carpet, but it had a lot of debris (grass, paper pieces, and the little covers to seal liquid toiletries). I chalked it up to being mid-day and possibly busy. However, my room carpet (old carpet) was NOT clean, either, and I found a lot of food particles throughout the room. I put in a request at the front desk to have my room vacuumed the next day. The next day, my room was NOT vacuumed nor was the hallway. In the hallway, a deodorant cover and a razor safety cover joined the debris in the hallway. Housekeeping never vacuumed the hallway the entire week (obvious evidence with the larger debris). My room was semi-vacuumed on my 3rd day there; though, food particles still resided along all the furniture pieces and bed. That was my biggest issue. However, there is more. My room floor appeared to have a long crater along the window wall and near the AC. I could feel the springs in the bed. The bed had a large stain on it, as if someone sat on the end of the bed and had a bodily accident. The room often smelled of urine. There wasn't a microwave in the room. The TV remote was gunky! I would also say the front desk personnel were not always friendly. There was a lady on the 1st day that was great, but the rest of the time, not super friendly or welcoming. The good: Even though I had neighbors beside and above me, it was fairly quiet. I did sleep well, despite being able to feel the bed springs. The bathroom appeared fairly clean - no mold in the shower or any janky construction. The hot breakfast was sufficient, though I did want some yogurt (maybe I missed it). The refrigerator worked well. The location to the airport couldn't have been any better. The location to the highway junctures was also great.

Wonderful hotel right by the airport. Offers complimentary airport shuttle that runs 24/7 for your convenience. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the front desk team went above and beyond to assist us. They even held our luggage for us before our room was ready, so that we could visit the beach while waiting. We stayed two separate nights, before and after our cruise. I would definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again!

We had an early morning flight and stayed one night. No plane noise, we slept well. Shuttle service from / to airport ( as well pick up from car rental return when you inform reception) There is one good restaurant "world of beer" in walking distance (200 meter)

We stayed here the night before a very early morning flight from Tampa International airport. Carlos answered all of our questions at check-in, including how to catch the free shuttle to the airport and where to find food within walking distance. The rooms were clean and nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was very clean Staff was super helpful Parking was awful I am a huge fan of Hampton Inns for my business travels. I normally stay at another location, but this was near my meetings. The service by the staff was phenomenal and the lobby and the rooms were spotless, which is always a plus. Getting the extra goodies fir rewards members, without asking for it, was nice too. But there is a major flaw, at least for me it was a big flaw (it might not be for you). That flaw is ingress and egress, you have to navigate the parking lots for three other buildings before you arrive at HI at the back of the property. And be careful where you turn around as one wrong turn and you are back on the highway, having to a long loop around the block to find your way back. It is simply not an easy venture. The second thing is parking, there is very limited parking near the hotel, although there is a parking garage between the four buildings. It is not up close, but it is fairly convenient. But what I find unforgivable is only one handicap spot, yes just one. Three spots for diamond members (I am a Diamond rewards member) but only one for people with disabilities. They did make accommodations for me, but I had to ask and it was very frustrating parking two blocks away, lugging my luggage only to be told later, what the accommodations were. I am very thankful the staff cared about my well being and politely and professionally made it right for me. I could tell it had been brought up by other guests. I also had a really hard time connecting to Wi-Fi, which was important to prepare for my meetings. I finally got it yo work, but it took several tries of entering the same data.

This was an excellent choice for my near-airport stay. easy access from TPA airport, and very clean on my visit. Room was spacious, clean, and had the normal amenities such as coffee and tea. Check-in was super smooth and fast. They have the little snack/drink concession by the desk. Although there was the free breakfast, I didn't eat anything. From my glance as I walked past, it looked good. I plan on staying here on my next trip through Tampa. Plus, for the beer lovers, there is a World of Beer immediately next door. A 2 minute walk from your room.

I stayed here with a traveling work group and the hotel was very accommodating of all our requests, receiving packages, making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and the rooms are clean. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant and professional. There's very little parking by the hotel but the garage is right there and it's free so not a problem.

The room was clean but old food was left in refrigerator that left a bad smell. Breakfast was consistently finished by 9:30 and the attendant in the breakfast area didn’t seem to care and pretty much ignored everyone when they expressed their concern. Some of the front desk staff were nice and welcoming, some did not acknowledge you.

Selecting this hotel was an excellent last-minute decision! The building exterior design and grounds are visually appealing, the lobby is very open, clean and comfortable, the hallways are wide with plush carpeting that helps buffer sound and my room was immaculately clean and more spacious than the average standard king room. It was especially nice having a top floor corner room facing north to watch the airplanes take off on the runway! Every staff member was warm and friendly but Mandy was, by far the most amazing front desk professional I’ve encountered in my experiences across several hotel brands. As a seasoned business and leisure traveler and Hilton Honors member, I highly recommend this hotel for those who value a true high quality hospitality experience.

Spacious & clean room. Nice dining area for breakfast. Please note: parking was difficult to find upon arrival & was frustrated driving around trying to find a spot (only a few spots in the hotel parking lot). Had to go inside to ask and learned top levels of parking garage (past level 2) are available for hotel guests.

A pleasant stay, with decent, clean rooms. Good location to access Tampa. However, they did not have EV charging (it doesn't count when the EV Chargers are in the parking lot of another hotel, 3 hotels away - yes when I inquired this is where I was directed). Desk staff were very courteous and polite. The breakfast was surprisingly varied, plentiful and tasty. Overall very happy with my stay. Just keep in mind if you are looking for EV charging it will be a 5 minute walk back from the hotel that actually has it (2 - Charge Point - Stage 2 chargers/240volt).

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night after flying into Tampa airport. We loved that they had a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and we just had to call when we landed for them to pick us up. All the staff, from the shuttle driver to the front desk workers were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet, we didn’t hear anyone or any planes taking off and our the window in our room was facing the airport, so that was great! The breakfast in the morning had a large variety. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 1 night on business. Room was clean, I had a king size bed with a view of the pool. Had a great breakfast. The smoked sausage and potatoes were delicious. They have the option to make fresh waffles along with having bagles, muffins, and toast.

From the moment the decision was made to travel, I knew I needed a hotel for overnight stay that had shuttle service and would be close to the airport. I found the perfect hotel. I'm a Hilton Honors member and this is always my go to when looking for accommodations while traveling. I checked the web and was offered a good variety of hotels. I needed one that was close to the Tampa airport. The information on the Hampton Inn & Suites website had all the informational details. The pictures were very clear with a bonus picture of their suite. The best thing was the suite was also available. You don't know how many times I've called the various Hilton Honors locations over the years only to be told the suite is unavailable. So this alone was the decision maker for me. And they didn't disappoint. The check in was seamless, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean for our group of four. The view from the room at night was amazing as well.

I was double charged for the room. When I asked the front desk about he said he couldn’t do anything about it. It would just come off the next day. The ac sounded like a plane was landing in the room. Front desk said sorry no one here to fix. Lol. I am a gold member and ask for the water and snack and was told sorry it’s after midnight. Long black hairs in the bathtub and on the floor. Ewww. The next morning the front desk lady removed the charge she was very helpful. I stay in Hampton Inns monthly for several days at a time and have had an experience like this.

Everyone I encountered that worked here was very nice and helpful. There is free breakfast, and it is not just a continental selection. Pool has good hours, and the gym was better than I expected. Parking is limited if you don't use the garage. Rooms are good sized and the shower was great!

Nice hotel. Very clean. Good breakfast. Room 201: The bed was really hard and uncomfortable and the pillows went flat. Tossed and turned all night. What's the point of making everything look nice but missing the most important part? Maybe it was just our bed but man, at $250 a night...

  • 5/5 Karyn M. 1 year ago on Google
Not sure why this isn’t rated higher. Biggest thing is cleanliness- it’s got that. Then every person I encountered at the front desk was super sweet. My room literally looked out to the airport and airport parking garage. We got this hotel because of an early morning flight- 6 minute drive to the departures at Tampa airport. Can’t beat that. Great breakfast. Parking could be a little better. Free parking garage is great unless you are in anything over 7 feet. My van didn’t fit so had to hunt for parking and it didn’t really exist except for the garage. But I won’t take a star off for that as most vehicles will fit.

We ended up on the wrong shuttle and found ourselves at the wrong Hampton Inn. Even though ours was a block or so away and it was our fault, they paid for a taxi to take us to the right place. The rooms were clean and very nice. The customer service was great. In addition, we met some family at their Hampton Inn before boarding our cruise ship, and they offered to hold our luggage for us. I highly recommend any of these Hampton Inns!

The location, cleanliness, staff, decor, safety and ambiance. Breakfast was limited but clean and practical. Coffee always hot and plentiful. I loved everything except: the awful whistling sound coming from the hallway vent. Honestly I couldn’t identify precisely where the sound was coming from but it was not from the windows. Sounds like air was being forced through an open vent in the air duct or from the roof. It was truly unbearable. I really wish I had changed my room once I found it to be disturbing me. It had nothing to do with the hurricane as it was happening from day of arrival. I at first thought it was the AC system but after it was turned off and the sound continued I was assured it was something else. I notified FD at departure but personally should have addressed before then. My fault on that one. Would stay again but not in #305

Great Hilton Hotel- fabulous location right next to the Tampa International Airport. Free shuttle is on time and quick to the airport. Free breakfast was typical of hotel fare - nothing to write home about but you get full at the buffet if you want. We stayed in the King Suite. Huge room with plenty of room also included a sleeper sofa and “wet bar” kitchen area at the entrance of the room with a small fridge, microwave, sink and coffee maker. We were moving out of St Petersburg to Denver Colorado and stayed here for two nights of just relaxing. One of the nicer Hampton Inns that I have been in. Close to restaurants and the mall.

Only Positive is the free breakfast other than that do not recommend. There is no parking, my room was dirty and when i asked for another room, the new room was dirty as well. The tub still had hairs from the other guests, the nightstand had food residue from the previous night, and the toilet was not cleaned. If you want to stay in this area I recommend staying at home2suites.

Nice hotel. Helpful front desk staff. Good breakfast buffet. A filling meal. Easy pick up and drop off with the airport shuttle. Pool was neglected but going in a Monday that was slightly cool..i am sure ut just got pushed to the bottom of the list. I would stay again!

Best place we have stayed in a while. Even though it is by the airport you didn't really hear them. One of the cleanest hotels. Always saw someone cleaning something and sanitizing others. You could smell the clean. Definitely will be coming back to this location. Felt very safe here, have to have a key card to get anywhere in the building.
