First time customer, I ask if they could make a Heart Shaped Cake for my Daughter’s Birthday and after asking a Manager, I was told yes no problem. When I showed up 3 days later to pick it up only then was I informed that the Cake Decorator did not have time to fulfill my request. I reluctantly paid for the cake because the party was in two hours. Not only was my Daughter disappointed, the cake was flat and lopsided, did not look like a double layer cake. It literally fell apart/melted into a blob when we tried to cut it! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it tasted better than it looked.

Wonderful shop! Not just sweets! (The Red Velvet was excellent) They have great coffee, wonderful bagels and sandwiches. The service was great and they were very welcoming. Will be back!

Wide variety of sweets. The hospitality was great, we felt very welcomed as soon as we came in. It was our first time and they were very helpful. We ordered the red velvet cake cup and it was moist with a DELICIOUS icing. The lemon bar melted in our mouths it was creamy and soft. We can’t wait to come back 🧁

Visited here on Sunday July 30. I am not sure where the pictures of the lobster tails come from on all the reviews because the one I got does not look remotely similar. I would like to try the Sfogliatelle because it looks good but unfortunately there were none available. The display case had an eclair that had fallen and was crushed against the glass which was unappetizing. The cappuccino was nothing spectacular. Nothing was handed to me, the workers just leave it on the counter and don’t even tell you your order is ready. This place looked very promising, but going inside was a completely different experience.

I ordered an apple tart. The apple tart wa s not overly sweet which is a good thing. The size of the tart was a little small to me for the price. It tasted fresh and the crust was okay. The store was very clean and the people serving were very nice. Update - Went in again and ordered a Lobster Tail. The Lobster Tail was nice and flaky and the cream was nice.

Walked In at random for a tastey treat and were pleasantly surprised by the options. They even had my favorite thumbprint cookies. James at the counter was super informative, not only with his own opinion but gave us feedback from previous customers which helped us pick the best treats. Definitely looking forward to returning for more of the classic Italian desserts I grew up on.

Watched people come and go as I waited for my order. Watched the staff put on kitty ears and snap pics for social as I waited for my order. That's because nobody bothered to put in my order. Manager gave me a free cookie for my inconvenience. Don't know what it was but it wasn't very good. The kicker was the girl who took my order (and didn't put it in) was the one who finally gave me my food and made no apology for her f - up. First and last visit. Won't be back.

LOVE this place! Authentic Italian sweets, freshly prepared savory items, excellent espresso and iced coffees that come in a variety of flavors and milk choices. Atmosphere is on point, in the middle of Hyde Park with fast and friendly customer service! P.S. they even leave water filled dog bowls outside for all the pups in the hot floridan sun :)

Very fast and friendly service. I've stopped in for iced oat milk lattes here 1-2x per month for a while now and have never waited longer than 1-2 minutes. They always greet me with a smile. I keep meaning to try the food, so I can't speak to that but it looks yummy!

We are originally from NY and know good food. This was our first time visiting this bakery and WOW, we were impressed from beginning to end. The person who took our order was extremely nice and made us feel welcomed. He recommended the hazelnut iced coffee which was a 10/10, out of this world. Haven't had iced coffee this good in over a decade and the almond croissants are perfection. This place is AMAZING and our new favorite authentic Italian bakery.

There are not a lot of Italian bakery out here in Florida but I drove an hour and 34 minutes just to try this bakery I’ll order the cookies which taste very delicious and the cannolis were very good. And they croissants were absolutely delicious. I will be back soon. The only thing is the parking around There is horrible. Should do a parking spot just for people that come to pick up from the bakery and go.

Picked up some of their shot glass desserts last night. I purchased 4 different flavors to try out. The whipped cream in them tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for over a week. Just awful aftertaste. And the custard in the vanilla one was rancid. (Threw them out immediately). The iced earl grey tea they made me was pretty good though.

Stopped in on the way to the movie theater. Wanted something light and quick. The staff, Jordan and Joy, were absolutely delightful! They have the best energy I’ve encountered in customer service. I modified my sandwich and Jordan made it beautifully. They are the true treasure here, really. It’s so hard to come across staff that actually enjoys their job and engages with the customers. Thank you both and best to your future endeavors! Absolutely a delight…

This is truly an Italian authentic bakery. The coffee is amazing. Best in Hyde Park. Pastries are old world Italian with a touch of NY flavor. Their food menu is absolutely amazing. Reasonably priced, with a great size portions. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert, this is the best spot in Hyde Park.

Great coffee and pastries and done forget the gelato my wife loved it. We sampled the carrot cake and lemon bar. The carrot cake was a bit too spicy for our liking and the lemon bar was classic. Their Italian style cookies are real good. I have bit tried their lunch options but plan on it.

Went out for a late night treat, was hungry per usual, and happened upon this little bakery tucked out of sight in Hyde Park Village. Got the Funfetti and Carrot Cake shots, as well as the cream filled Lobster Tail pastry. The icing with the funfetti cake was delicious, the cake itself light and fluffy. The carrot cake was a little more dense with a thick cream cheese frosting. Both were delicious, and I almost wish they sold bigger containers instead of the little shots. The cream in the Lobster Tail pretty much blew my mind, it was the best of the three in my opinion. I would've been happy just eating a bowl full of that yummy filling, so so good 🀀. The service was on point, the women working there courteous and patiently waiting for my indecisive butt to choose something 😁. Highly recommend!

Lol good food all these negative reviews are entitled south tampa dorks who get mad when someone cant crawl on their knees and praise them every 5 minutes. A few of the bad reviews was a lady who literally made 4 fake accounts LOL. Good food good service good place. Go here and enjoy it. They work hard and make a good product. End of story.

Bad atmosphere! They wouldn't budge on charging me $3.99 for a cup of milk for my toddler. It's disappointing they insisted on that price, even after I politely asked twice if I could pay a dollar instead. I explained that I wasn't comfortable paying that much since I wasn't purchasing a larger carton of milk. Their response was, "I'm not the one setting the price." Never again!

This cake far exceeded my expectations! She combined Christmas and Thanksgiving for the perfect β€œthanksmas” cake. It looks to good to cut into it.

Authentic and quaint little Italian bakery! The staff was as sweet as the cookies! I tried a pignoli cookie and it was fantastic. The texture was spot on and it had a delicious flavor. I had never tried that kind Of cookie before and I loved it. The cannolis were amazing as well! The filling was made perfectly. We enjoyed iced coffee and a yummy blueberry pomegranate iced tea while we sat outside and enjoyed the fountain area in Hyde Park. We will definitely be back!

UPDATED REVIEW! We decided to visit this place. Extra small, there is almost nothing available (no, no Napoleon cake either). We ordered 3 things, one of them was sooo dry, we were surprised how selling this was possible??? And about the chocolate croissant…? Wow… They just missed the chocolate filling… Absolutely disappointing. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” OLD REVIEW: Ordering from here???? No way again!!!! I ordered 3 Napoleon Cake and 2 other items. They called me up and told me they don’t have the requested item. THEY ASKED ME to cancel. But they kept the money. I called them and they said they can not give back my money, I have to call UBER EATS. I did. UBER EATS said since I canceled the order, they won’t refund, because of a β€œsorrow fee”, towards the restaurant. I called Sorrento Sweets again but the woman who answered the phone (same who called me and told me they don’t have the requested items), she was hilarious. Never ever again!!!!!!! Stay away from this thiefs!

Yummy 🀀 yummy is all I have to say. I was in Tampa at an appointment and wanted Italian cookies. I search on google and this place popped up. The cookies are nice and fresh, the employees are nice and I was able to tell that the locals in the area knows all the workers by name. You order the cookies by pounds. I ordered a pound of the shell dipped cookies, half a pound of the raspberry thumbprints, half pound of the powdered shells, 2 funfetti cake cup, 2 cookies and cream cup and lol last a giant πŸͺ. I wish I didn’t have to drive so far for hood food and sweets but this place is worth it.

My favorite spot in Tampa for coffee for over three years. The food and beverages are great, but it's the staff that make this place exceptional - it has a small town feel where they always remember you and your family. That personal feeling isn't easily found anymore.

I have been dying for sfogliatella and found out this bakery sells them. I was very disappointed in the quality. I was expecting a light pastry cream or custard, like I have gotten from other Italian bakeries, but ended up with a dense, almost marzipan-like filling inside. The pastry looked beautiful, just didn’t taste great.

Drove over from Lakeland just for a lobster tail and have to say it was not good. Very sweet and the filling was very lite. The pastry was very good without the filling. Coffee was good and strong and very good location with nice restaurants in the area. I would go back just not for a lobster tail.
