Been here twice and never like their hamburgers. It’s always dry and tasteless. They won’t cook any other way. If you like your hamburger rare or medium rare, you can forget about it. Only well done. Reservation is a joke. We made a reservation for 11:30am and didn’t get table until 11:55am. They kept seating party of 2 and 4 and these were walked in customers. They kept telling us it will be 10 minutes and after almost half an hour later we had a talk with a manager and they finally sat us down for party of 8. I only come here because some of my family members like eating here. Maybe I’ll try something different next time but not the hamburgers. Twice is enough for me. Or maybe just skip this place. BTW. Skip the double patties burger. They’re are the same size as the single patty burger. Ridiculous. Wish I had taken the pic of the double patties burger side by side with the single patty. Basically, single patty burger slice In half and they called double. Of course, they charged you more. Other reviews also mentioned about this double patties burger.

I ordered the "Goody Goody Burger"with a double Patty and I regret it. I would recommend getting a single Patty. The burger had almost no taste and the special sauce tastes almost like honey. The honey-like special sauce was a weird sensation on an otherwise tasteless burger. The seasoned fries had way too much seasoning and ketchup did little to revive them. If I had to recommend a burger from here I would say give the "Hyde Park Burger"a try. That has no special sauce and also has lettuce. But beware another person at my table ordered the Hyde Park Burger and they said it was way too vinegary. But then also said that that burger isn't usually like that. Hopefully yours isn't vinegary and you have a better taste experience with the Hyde Park Burger. The old time diner atmosphere is pleasant though. The staff is friendly and inviting though. Overall I would not recommend coming here if you crave a tasty burger and fries.

I took one star off only because of the wait times for seating five people at 1PM on a Saturday (as well as some other items noted below). Not their fault that the restaurant is in high demand, but be aware that you may have to wait a while. There were also a number of tables that were open, so I think perhaps it was a staff shortage that contributed to the seating delay. Is this place worth a 45 minute wait? Not if you are really hungry or have someone who would find it difficult standing around that long. I can say this is a nice looking restaurant. A couple items on the walls, some odd cages around the ceiling fans to keep them from escaping (what sordid secrets they must know), and comfortable seating. Staff was friendly , but you can tell their goal is to rush you out. I was being asked if I wanted dessert halfway through my meal (twice), and then plates were taken while we were still picking. Also, a $7 milkshake? Vincent Vega would be rolling over in his grave (I know, inflation, but it wasn't no $7 milkshake). But I must say, the burger with the special sauce was delightful and different. French fries were top notch. I loved the crushed ice they use in their drinks. Salad looked even better than the burgers (I would get that next time). Kids ate all of their food (giant pancakes, burgers) which is rare. An order of onion rings is more than enough friend onions for one person. So in the end, is it worth a 45 minute wait when I have a life to live? Probably not. This doesn't mean I can't learn a lesson and try to come back at a less busy time. The food was certainly enjoyable enough to warrant round two at some point in the future.

Burger is cooked until some of it is crispy. I didn’t like that. Fries were very good. They are seasoned. Pie has a weird consistency. Hot chocolate was fine.

First time there. Goody Goody is a Tampa institution, and now I see why! The food was wonderful and so was the service. I had a corned beef sandwich (see picture) that was very delicious! Best French fries I've had in a long time, hot and crispy 😋

Food below average. Burger tastes like meatloaf. The service was awful. The lady that waited on me is miserable. Needs to find another job get out of the service business. Besides that after waiting for 15 min for them to get their computers back up so we could pay. I finally got my bill and paid it with the QR code as I was leaving she came out and pretty much accused me of not paying my bill. I explained to her it was paid for by the code and she asked me 3 times if it turned green? I think if your gonna offer this service don’t make people feel like they are stealing!

This diner is exactly what this diner always has been and should be. A place to grab an old fashion hamburger or cheeseburger made exactly how your great grandpa and great grandma would remember. The fries are great as well. And don't forget the shake! Eeyore did not make this visit.... Maybe next time ol' donkey.

Parking was an issue, well visited, beautiful location in Tampa, surrounded by other eateries and shops. Wasn't the best burger or meal, yet I thank Jonathan for his service. Staff very friendly and helpful

Great Diner experience. The menu has a good variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites. The important thing to me is they accommodate you if you're on a special diet (Gluten-Free, etc)... Ask for Emily! She has a sweet disposition and is ready to suggest options if you need to alter the menu a bit.

This has to be one of our favorite restaurants in Tampa. Great value, excellent service, tasty food, and fast and attentive service. What else can you ask for. We love their pancakes and burgess, but all their menu items are great. The location of this place is also ideal. To sum up Goodie Goodies in Tampa's Hyde Park is a brunch haven! 🍳 Indulge in their must-try dishes like the Insta-worthy Avocado Toast Tower or the OMG-worthy Red Velvet Pancakes. 🥞 Located in the trendy Hyde Park district, it's the perfect spot to snap pics for your foodie feed. 📸 Fun fact: Goodie Goodies crafts their signature Bloody Mary with a secret spice blend, adding a spicy twist to your brunch experience. ✨ Chic vibes, flavorful bites – your brunch dreams come true at Goodie Goodies! 😋 #BrunchGoals

Nice upscale diner joint located in the center of the hip Hyde Park area. Had the buttermilk chicken sandwich and coleslaw, crispy and juicy. They were very busy even at 3:30pm in the afternoon! Good place to grab a bite that doesn’t break your bank compared to other pricey restaurants in the area.

I order the POX burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake. POX is their signature burger with pickles anions and their secret sauce. The secret sauce tastes like pickled beets, was icky i was expecting an aioli based sauce. The fries were thick cut and the milkshake had a funky taste. I won’t be back. Made me mourn my decision to give this a try over the plethora of restaurant options in Tampa.

Sooo Goody Goody Burgers is indeed a good spot for those seeking a decent burger joint. The decor is a mix of old and new diner styles, which gives it a unique vibe. However, I found the service to be a bit slow, even though the restaurant was not too busy. The food was good, but it didn't stand out as exceptional. We ordered the Loaded French Fries, which were okay, and the Hyde Park Cheeseburger, which did the job. If you're looking for a casual spot to grab a bite with family or friends, this could be the place for you. Overall, Sooo Goody Goody Burgers is a decent option for a burger fix, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Food was delicious, hot and fast. Service was a little less than perfect. Our waitress never refilled my water and took a about 15 minutes to get our drink order. Aside from that, the food and atmosphere was great!

I had the shrimp basket and the food was good other than some of the sauces which tasted off so I didn’t eat much of them. Service was fine .. however almost directly after eating there , We both had to use the restroom.. and had stomach pain.. I threw up later that night and this morning. I have been feeling sick all day and my stomach hasn’t settled as of yet. I would say maybe check on your sanitation practices.. it’s been over 24 hours since I ate there and I am still having stomach pains. This was our first and probably last time there.

If you have not been to Goody Goody Burger, you are missing out on one fantastic experience. This place is a true landmark, and the food and team are absolutely awesome. Try the limited edition Strawberry pie while they still have it on the menu. And for easy access, park across the street in the FREE garage

Nestled in the heart of town, Goody Goody Burger is a delightful throwback to the golden era of drive-in burger joints. Stepping through the doors feels like entering a time capsule, with its vibrant decor, patterned floor design, and repurposed garage doors that looked out to the main street. Had a delicious burger and blt loaded with bacon, but the real star was the professional and on point staff. I am looking forward to our next visit.

We went during the week about 5pm. Not very busy during that time which was a good thing. First sat inside, then because it was cold we decided to eat outside. Both ordered burgers & shakes. My wife wanted an egg on her burger. They forgot to add it. The food was so-so and the shakes were the best part of coming. Not the worst but nothing great either.

Had the chicken sandwich, GG classic burger, The rusty dog, and an order of onion rings. The Chicken sand. and the onion rings were the best of what we had ordered. The burger was hand pressed with a tomato and sugar puree sauce. The hot dog and the fries were just standard. The building has a art deco vibe. Prices are reasonable for the area.

Best burger. I had the Hyde Park burger and the cheese was AMAZING and the toppings were so fresh! The onion rings come with a campfire sauce (which is so good). The banana cream pie is rich and yummy and so is the chocolate pie! Not to mention this is very cute and love the diner vibe!! The ice is also “good” nugget ice and the coke is crisp (it’s the little things) I cannot recommend this place enough!!

What a great meal and experience that we had at Goody Goody. My server was attentive and courteous. We are local and took a while for us to make it here since it has historically been busy. We skipped dessert since the main dishes we’re great as expected. I cannot wait to come back but will need to save room. Thanks to the Gonzmarts for resurrecting this Gem!

From out of town, found this in google. Came for breakfast. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling host and seated quickly. Our service was fast and friendly. Our food was delicious!!! Ordered the kitchen sink omelette, chocolate chip pancakes and banana pancakes. It was all very filling. They have yummy looking pies that we will have to try next time. Overall very pleased with our experience and hope to make it back before we go home.

Breakfast is sometimes ho hum at restaurants. Not here. We split a Kitchen Sink omelet and a pancake. Holy cow. The pancake syrup was incredible. Omelet was very good. We would recommend this place to everyone.

I really enjoyed most of the items I ordered, except the goody burger. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was mediocre. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes and the guava cheesecake were amazing 👏 😋

Goody Goody Burgers located in beautiful olde Hyde Park is a great stop to enjoy a burger or assortment of grilled and/or comfort styled food. The customer service is always friendly and personal, and the food comes quick and is delicious. The restaurant offers table and booth seating and can accommodate large groups. The atmosphere is family friendly and comfortable. Prices are affordable with a nice menu selection. Started with Onion rings for an appetizer which are my favorite. Nice crunchy, spicy outside and sweet hot onion inside. I had the Olde Hyde park cheeseburger with a side of coleslaw. Burger was cooked well and the slaw was nice and creamy. If visiting Old Hyde park stop in for a quick bite then enjoy the shops near by.

Every time I've came to visit this retro themed beauty I am always happy! I am usually left stuffed so I haven't tried the other delectable looking desserts on display but maybe someday I'll have the privilege of going back and checking it out! I wish there was a Goody Goody near me because this place is phenomenal. This is an appreciation post— some day you and I will be together again Goody Goody homefries and omelette!

Cool, nostalgic spot with simple comfort foods. Special Shout out to Miss Jessica for preparing the BEST cheese grits you're ever gonna have ( besides maybe your grandmas kitchen) . The shrimp & grits were delicious! Good service, & location. Will definitely be back.

Went here out of the blue since we were in the area, honestly very surprisingly good and wonderful. Obviously there are different options because of the area but this place is a must try. Pies and all were all good. plus they have seating outside in case you bring your dog. so pet friendly is also a plus.
