Sooo very disappointed. We were excited to try it for the first time. We don’t drink alcohol so this is a food only review. Service started strong but by the end we kept having to reach out. The food was not terrible but by no means supported the price point. The biggest problem was the lobster in his lobster bisque was dry and not very good tasting. I also had lobster in the “sauce” which was more like a broth in my grouper and it was also not just dry but funny tasting. I did not eat the lobster in my dish. We then had really nice cups of coffee and a very strange warm vanilla cake that was so weird like cornbread rather than cake. It was so heavy and odd in texture. It’s not often I give scathing reviews but I do not think I will ever return. I liked the soft butter and rolls but to be honest that’s about it. The server was nice but had too many tops to keep up. The food I had there did not support the price point by any means. I have a feeling their cocktail game is strong but the food was barely okay and the old dried out lobster was just not okay!

Another amazing date night! Great food, service, & ambiance! We were a little worried because there was a family with a small child & infant in the same room but the ambiance remained. Drinks were good, we both had the Whiskey Clover it was very good. I had my go to meal, crab cakes. They were very meaty and well seasoned. My absolute favorite was the roasted Brussels sprouts, just cooked to perfection. The Black Truffle Mac was not good to me but my SO enjoyed it. My SO had the Filet Mignon which he enjoyed it was tender with good flavor but not the best he's had. We did not have dessert we were too full. The warm bread was very good as well. Definitely recommend!

Hands down one of the best seafood restaurants in the Tampa area! Definitely the place you take someone to impress them as the food quality is just as spectacular as the service. The lobster bisque is delicious with huge chunks of meat. The crab appetizer comes out cold and smoking with dry ice. Legit one of the best dishes I've ever tasted! Every cocktail is crafted to perfection!

Excellent food and excellent services. The host Katelyn was very helpful with making my reservation. My waiter Paige and floor manager Kananne were professional, attentive and nice. They made sure I had a good birthday. Now, the food was delicious. The shrimp was very good. The Colorado lamb was so tender, it easily fell off the bone. The truffle Mac & cheese was unique. And the peanut butter chocolate pie was an oversized Reese cup which was awesome. I had a memorable experience at ocean prime...thank you.

My husband and I are in town for the Eagles v. Buccaneers playoff game(Go Eagles!). My friend, a Tampa/St. Pete native, said that we must visit Ocean Prime while in town. The only reservation I was able to secure was for 3:30P, hence the popularity of this place. The service provided by my waiter Justin was impeccable and the food matched. He made our experience a beautiful one. His genuine ability to connect with guests was evident and his knowledge of the menu was extensive. My husband and I love grouper, but the snapper was so tempting. We got both and Justin had it plated equally, so that we could easily share. Both the grouper and blackened snapper were delicious. The grouper came in a broth-like liquid with gnocchi and lobster chunks.The snapper had the most wonderful corn “cake”. In addition, we had the twin lobster tails with asparagus. The bacon creamed spinach was amazing! It had the subtle hint of bacon with the texture of a traditional creamed spinach. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake which was moist and sweet. We’ll return again when in town.

My partner brought me to Ocean Prime for my birthday, and I can honestly say it wasn't worth the price. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews of the amazing food, and we couldn't disagree more. The sushi we got as an appetizer was great, kudos to the sushi chef. But everything else... Not so much. Both entres were sub-par. The grouper was overcooked and dry, and in a bath of watered down flavorless sauce. The steak my partner ordered was great, but the mashed potatoes were so cold that even the server was shaking her head about them. Even after removing the mashed potatoes from the tab and having a FREE dessert for my birthday, the bill still came over $250. I'd say it couldn't have been worth much more than $150. Now let's talk about the "fine dining" atmosphere. While the table was beautifully presented, and the servers were dressed nicely, the restaurant was the furthest thing from an intimate fine dining experience due to the absurd volume of the music playing. I could hardly hear the waiters speaking to us, and other people in the restaurant were drunkenly rowdy as well, at 7pm. We were there for a romantic, intimate dinner, and got sat next to a drunken group of men for a work party. I can't express how disappointing this experience was, we were both so excited to try this place. However, I can say without a doubt we will not be dining here again, and definitely will be advising others against it. If you're looking for an actually good date spot, try Ulele for the amazing seafood, or Bern's for an actual romantic date night atmosphere.

Everything were great! The lamb chops was so good glad I ordered it medium cooked. The chocolate dessert was just perfect for sharing.

Had a lovely dinner here. Started with warm soft Serve pretzels. Then, sea bass with truffle mash potatoes and generous slices of truffle. We ordered truffle Mac and cheese for the table and it was rich and creamy. The Sea bass was perfectly cooked

First time here. The food and service lived up to the hype. I had the whiskey clover cocktail over ice (pictured)and my husband had the smoked old fashioned. They were both delicious. We’ve had a better presentation of a smoked old fashioned at Bonefish Grill, but this was still tasty. For an appetizer we split a beet salad, which was served split - nice touch! - and the white truffle caviar deviled eggs. I forgot a pic of the salad, but it was beautiful. They served orange and red beets. Delicious dressing. The deviled eggs were interesting. They had a lovely presentation, but they were fairly bland even with the truffles and caviar. I’m glad we tried them, but we wouldn’t order them again. For our main entree, my husband had the fish special - haddock maybe? - and I had the Chilean Sea Bass. He enjoyed his dinner, but we both preferred the Sea Bass immensely. It was cooked to perfection. We didn’t leave a bite behind. For dessert, we indulged in the 10-layer carrot cake. The presentation was beautiful. The taste was “okay,” nothing to distinguish it from any other carrot cake. I gave a 3-star for atmosphere because when spending that kind of money on a meal/experience we are expecting every aspect to be 5-star. Unfortunately, Ocean Prime isn’t focusing on details. The level of dust on the table in the ladies room and on each of the wall hangings behind our booths in the dining area prove attention to detail is overlooked. The painting was chipped in areas that most people would probably overlook because they are focused on “just being there.” I can appreciate that, but when spending $250 on dinner for two I’m paying attention. I expect the WHOLE package to be 5-star.

Excellent restaurant! It is very expensive, so it's a great spot for a date night. The view from the inside and even the outdoor seating is amazing and you won't even feel like you are near the mall. The food is absolutely fantastic too! Highly recommend coming here.

I can absolutely say that the experience at Ocean Prime was truly exquisite. The atmosphere was amazing 👏🏾, Service upon entranceway to the bar for happy hour was outstanding and Top tier. I wish i could have remembered the two waiters name at the outside bar that made my experience amazing for me and my woman. Thanks Ocean Prime!!!

Everything you have ever heard about Ocean Prime (in the most positive way possible) is absolutely true! The ambiance is first class all the way. From how you are greeted at the front door all the way through the very personal treatment by the wait and bar staff. It is a very welcoming environment, and the food is absolutely superb. One misconception about a restaurant like Ocean Prime is that it is not somewhere everyone can eat. That is simply untrue. There are very high-end options on both the dinner and drink menu that require significant financial means, but there are options on the menu that work for a person navigating a tighter budget. Those lower priced items are exceptional in preparation, presentation, and taste just as much as the higher priced options. Ocean Prime is a fantastic location to go have a dinner meeting, dinner date, group meal, or solo experience at the bar or in the dining room. Might I suggest the smoked old fashioned! You may not find a better one anywhere! Happy eating all!

So Ocean prime is a chain but it's a very high-end chain. Been to other ones in different states have always been excellent. Haven't had a bad experience yet! This place was no different. We did have a state that was overcooked and they rectified it. You really can't complain. Getting a steak. Perfect temperature can be challenging. The one thing I love about this place. Is the atmosphere very upbeat and a lot of fun. We'll definitely be back

On the outskirts of International Mall, Ocean Prime is just off of Westshore near the airport. I should have come sooner because my experience was superb. I arrived just before noon and there was already a line. I did not have a reservation but I was still seated right away, a nice comfy booth in the bar room. I kept it simple, Lobster Bisque, Twin Lobster Tails and a glass of Pouilly Fuissé. A perfect meal from start to finish. Service was spot on by Jarrod and Jenn. Great ambiance, good service, delicious food and a nice vista from outside. Prices are moderate and parking plentiful. It's versatile in that it's suited for many purposes, meetings, friends gathering or a romantic dinner.

Celebrated my niece's birthday at Ocean Prime. A nice place to go for happy hour if you're not into a big meal. Most items are alacart. Valet parking available. They have three bars and plenty of outdoor seating with a beautiful lake view. I enjoyed my calamari.

Ocean Prime is a solid fine dining option for special occasion dining, business lunch or in my case, ladies who lunch and enjoy doting hunky servers. Today I had fish with a lovely jalapeño corn tartar sauce. Everything is perfect and elegant. The warm butter cake is decadent.

Service was excellent. We made reservations for a birthday. We got right in and they had confetti on the table. I didn't know they did a free dessert so that was nice. It was really loud in the main sitting area which was surprising. We ended up in the back room which was nice. I don't eat steak or seafood so choices were minimal. The vegetable sushi was the best I've ever had. They do have tasty looking salads and lots of side options for vegetarians. My husband enjoyed the steak. I would definitely go back for the sushi.

Definitely a new date night favorite! Our server was a very nice gentleman named Nick out on the patio. He was very friendly and informative on all the off menu items they have. Highly recommend requesting him when you join them for dinner! Fantastic steak tartare, calamari, salads… and our main course was an Italian cut of steak which was so good we forgot to take a picture!

Nicholas was a very kind and attentive waiter. He offered recommendations that were delicious. I had the calamari as an appetizer, which was very tasty. I had the Chilean Sea Bass as my main meal. The bed of mashed potatoes were absolutely amazing. The sea bass, however, was tasteless and bland. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. All the staff were dressed very professionally and were very kind and courteous.

This was thee best dining experience my girl and I have ever received. I had to tell Leanne, that D, and Derrick truly made this experience for us remarkable. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we had the door opened and we were greeted, and D was so profesional in the way she spoke to us. But my boy Derrick…..his service to us is something I would call the gold standard, I truly don’t think I could even receive better service than what Derrick gave us, he knew the menu like the back of his hand he saw me eyeing a drink and said I’ll make you the same drink but better and he did, drinks phenomenal, food on another world, If I could give this place and their staff a 20/5 I would. This is my new standard for dining. This means they have great management because they instill what needs to happen and obviously employees follow management suit and seem genuinely happy, thank you Derrick and D for the amazing experience!

My dining experience was phenomenal. Rudolph held the door and was so pleasant to chat with. We sat on the patio/bar and Ryan was amazing. He was so attentive it blew my mind. I’ve never had a dining experience as great as the one I had tonight. The drinks he made were the best I’ve had in such a long time. Tomas was so sweet and very attentive as well. 10/10 would come again. The food was amazing as always

Wow!!! We've never been here but my husband brought me here for my birthday!! Super impressed. Almost everyone that was working came and told me happy birthday!! The service was exceptional. Bruce was our waiter. I can not say enough good things about this young man. He was phenomenal!!! Explained the menu, was timely on everything and extremely hospitable. The food... the food was absolutely delicious. We got crab cake for an appetizer. It was tasty. The flavors meshed well! We got a cocktail and a beer. Both were wonderful!!! We got the 8oz piedmontese filet. It was so tender we could cut it with our fork. I got the teriyaki salmon, It was extraordinary. For dessert we got the butter cake. So moist and flavorful. Because it was my birthday they bought my dessert.

We recently went with a few friends and dinner was amazing. I had the 14oz American Wagyu strip steak which was cook to perfection and bursting with flavor. Absolutely one of the best steak I've had in Tampa. Service was top notch and drinks were great as well. Highly recommended.

Everything here was fantastic. Our server, Angela, was one of the most attentive and thorough servers i have ever had! We had calamari to start, a variety of entrees, espresso martinis, and a delicious creme brûlée at the end. Although this is comes at quite a high price point, its worth every penny.

Came here with a group for dinner and had a great experience. Was seated in the room next to the front entrance so we were able to see how busy this restaurant can get, even on a weekday. Service was excellent and the waiter saw to it that all of our requests were met. Food and drinks were all made perfectly. I will be back.

We had a wonderful dinner here at Ocean Prime! From the service to the food, everything was perfect. We had 2 of the specials which was the Tomahawk steak & 14oz South African lobster. Both were so delicious and cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend an evening here.

I had the best birthday experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant today. They neatly scattered birthday confetti beautifully. The king crab was incredible. The mojito with raspberries was THE BEST. The on-the-house birthday dessert was so beautiful- I am bummed I didn’t get a picture of it before my little one dug in lol I wish I remembered our lovely server because he really just created an entire experience and the young man who lit the candle was SO sweet. Thank you all today for really making my birthday an incredible experience!

We had sea bass and salmon. Both of the dishes are good. But lobster bisque was too sweet for me. Crème brûlée was just mediocre. Staff were amazing though. They have accommodated us in best of their ability.

It’s 2nd time here for my husband BD. First was not impressed for food and dining area. This time is much much more better. Richard has wonderful service with his lovely smile and very attentive. Dining table we have is perfect. Cocktails and food are prepared very well. We will definitely be back.

We went there for a business lunch. We started with a smoking seafood tower with lobster, blue crab, Alaskan king crab legs, shrimp, and oysters. Everything was fresh and delicious. We also shared beef tartare and some sushi, also, delicious. I had the tuna and salmon poke bowl and others had sea scallops and the short rib dip. Again, everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I also highly recommend the smoked old fashioned. The service was top-notch. Our server was very attentive and suggested things to make our experience better. All and all 5 stars.

I've been coming here for years for late night drinks and dessert. The bartenders on the patio never disappoint with their espresso martinis and other signature cocktails. Service is always friendly, my fiance and I enjoy the variety of desserts. I've been getting butter cake or creme brulee for years but recently tried the penut butter pie cake which might be my new favorite!

Everything was Amazing! Celebrated my birthday dinner here last night. We sat outside, and felt like we were inside- highly recommend it. The service was fantastic, even the guest having dinner were so nice to go out of their way to wish me a happy birthday. Now on to the food- the best part. For our appetizer, we had calamari with sweet chili - delicious. My entrée was the Colorado Lamb O.M.G it was tender and full of flavor. My son had the saddleback farm pork he loved every bite he ate. My husband had the scallops with parmesan risotto- let me tell you I tasted the risotto and I was impressed by the amount of flavor it had. My daughter had the lobster linguine - it was creamy, and the lobster was cooked to perfection. Our sides were garlic whipped potatoes and sauteed mushrooms both were delicious. We end our dinner with a decadent dessert - CRÈME BRULÉE I was not disappointed- full -but definitely not disappointed!

Every special occasion has been made wonderful by the staff at Ocean prime. It's more than a fine dining experience, the atmosphere is elegant and cocktails are always perfect. Love Ocean Prime ♥️ they truly are the best.
