Staff is hateful and very rude. Treatment of me and my family was horrible. Apparently everyone staying needs to be able to show manager a valid ID to rent a room. When trying to further understand the reasoning for this policy was threatened to have the police call and be trespassed from the grounds. Very nasty and hostile Anti America owners.

There are roaches and bed bugs everywhere Plus there is no phone in room the owners complains about the mail all the time and all I asked is if my mail can be delivered here. There is no laundry room well not anymore Do to a guest they decided to lock awy the laundry room and never open it again Pool is nice if u like stuff floating in with you

Super rude at first the guy said I could get a room for me and my baby when I went to withdraw cash because they don't take cards, he was gonna charge me 550 for a week, then when I came back and he then said he needed the person that gave me a ride ID too, witch made no since but my driver said that wasn't a problem. When he went to the widow the guy told him that we couldn't rent a room. My driver was black these people are completely disrespectful and rasit. And from the reviews I'm glad I didn't rent there.

The place is in sad disrepair. In was bitten by ants while sleeping. The towels provided were the greyest white towels I have ever seen and scratchy! Even if the were clean there was only 1 bath towel and one wash cloth. We paid for a double so I really expected 2 sets. Glad I had brought my own. But I wished we had just gone camping like we had planned. They have a guest Wi-Fi but did not provide the password either at check-in or in the room. No phones in the room so I couldn't call the desk for it. I was too tired to walk all the way back there to get. I just used up more data. Kitchen had a small microwave (dirty) and a mini fridge (surprisingly clean). When I turned down the bed there was a wadded up paper towel between the sheets.... Another trip to the car to get our bedding. Wish I had taken pictures to post here. But honestly the only thing I wanted to remember about The Star Motel is that I will never stay there again.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed!!!! Place is falling apart and just tried to cook dinner for my family and the stove caught fire and the owner was outside and I took a picture of the fire and the owner tells me that we caused the fire!! Place is falling apart and they charge me $380 a week!! Roaches all over the place!! Asked nicely 2 be put n another unit and was refused!! If you are smart u would stay as far from this place as u can!!!

My honest experience I unfortunately had to stay there once it is the home of the meth users ,hookers and alcoholics that live at Art’s lounge across the street!!

Most disgusting "motel" I've ever been to! An old friend stayed here and the TV is like 25 years old and the AC both didn't work. The microwave barely worked. The infrastructure and furniture in the rooms look as if they're decomposing and about to collapse. No clean towels or maid service everyday. It's only a one time towel deal the first day you check in. The rooms No incentives to staying in this place unless you like filth, bugs and drugs! Disgusting and shouldn't even be allowed to use the word motel. Should be called "No Star No Motel Stay At Your Own Risk!" Not "Star Motel." "Wreaking havoc!"

The song Motel is actually a pretty nice place. There's plenty of parking , you're close to a lot of different stores convenience stores Walmart places to eat. And the motel is set up like little Bungalows or cottages it's not like a normal Motel where you go and walk up a couple of steps to walk around the building to your room are all individual and that's really nice especially if you have children. The rooms are nice and it's pretty quiet at night I would definitely recommend this place if you're coming into town for a night or a few days.

Horrible owners and the cleaning/maintenance. Remodeled rooms done by unlicensed workers. Almost guarantee Not up to code. Price is way too high to be sharing your room with 🪳 🪳 🪳 tenants there for years, might as well be labeled as Seffner projects

This place was very helpful when me and my family needed a roof over are heads. Also the started to clean and renovated some of there place there kitchen was very useful. I did experience some bugs but this is Florida were dont u find bugs.The owner and his wife are very nice ppl and they understood my situation and gave us time to pay. I would come back

I had driven into Tampa and expected to find a room easily but for some reason. The town was booked. We got the last room. The staff was efficient. Room was old but clean. Served its purpose.

Very clean and high security everywhere you look. Security is 2nd to none. Observation of the whole area constantly under scrutiny. Upkeep of property is to be commended.

I love the "compound" look and feel. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful and I feel safe here. I have stayed in places that charge more and have nationally known names but Star will be my first choice from now on.

Filthy and very small rooms. I caught headlice bigger than cockroaches here. Bedbugs. Just generally disgusting and overpriced for what it is. For weekly or longer guests they put you in mobile homes that they have blocked off into 2 or 3 "apartments". It's crazy. And the people who stay there as well as the owners are all crazy too. Owners are rude as hell

Room stunk like ole smoke and had a lot of roaches

Closet room available to the pool is a decent sized efficiency with kitchen, 3 beds, 1 bathroom. The place is a bit run down & is need of some major repairs. Toilet flooded around the bottom of the tank, obviously, needs a wax ring & is not caused by regular usage of 2 overnight guests. Then pool is kept clean & is highly dosed with chlorine, but since we had to use all our towels to sop up the flood in the bathroom, there weren't any left for swimming. The drapes in the room are not the most private as they are either too small & leave gaps or they're not properly affixed to the cement walls. Burn holes in the bedding & ashes from previous guests were obviously overlooked by housekeeping, if the bedding was even changed at all. All in all, 3 stars at best. No one tried to wiggle the doorknob without knocking as they did at other more shady places.

Visited a friend here and I believe they charge too much for the rent. Also when I tried to get a place there to stay 3 years ago they actually turned down my medical service dog. I guess as foreigners they dont know the laws in America.
