Best Mexican food we have found in Tampa. Expansive menu and dishes very flavorful. Seafood was fresh and tortillas are made to order. Love it when you get fresh warm tortillas, with salsa, to kick things off. Server was Lou (i think) and he was great. Very personable and knew the menu and dishes, in case you had questions or wanted recommendations.

On Sunday night we were craving for Mexican Food and we searched for the Mexican restaurant near us and decided to have Sunday night dinner at Miguel's Mexican Restaurant. We were greeted by our server Louis with water as well as menus and Chips with Salsa. We ordered Guacamole for the chips and salad as well as ordered Skinny Drink. The chips and salsa were amazing and delicious. The guacamole was fresh too and was freshly prepared. The skinny drink was amazing too. For the dinner we ordered Signature Salad with Sautéed Shrimp and Grilled Chicken Fajitas. We didn't had to wait much for the order and got our order in 5-10 minutes. The food was hot, delicious and freshly prepared. Loved the food. After the food we ordered Pastel De Chocolate as the desert. The desert was delicious too. Loved every bite of the food. Amazing restaurant with beautiful decor. Must try Mexican Restaurant.

Decent little spot with a pretty nice menu. The staff is friendly, and helpful. You start off with free chips and salsa which is always a plus, only thing is I wish the chips were served warm. Me and my husband decided to try the steak nachos, they come with the beans, meat, and cheese already cooked on top the chip. Which I don't mind, but I think the dish would be better and more worthwhile if the ingredients came as a dip or individual for you to put on top chips served on the side, but still tasty. For our entrees we chose the enchiladas. I picked the shrimp, and my husband got the seafood. I really enjoyed the flavor of the shrimp and cheese sauce, I wasn't a fan of the amount of spinach they used and how it wasn't quite sauteed enough, and the cream cheese was rather room temp. Also if you are selling a dish with seafood it should have more seafood in it than veggies, which was also the case for my husband's dish. More mushrooms than seafood. All in all good flavor, just think they should cook to order and not use the warmer to get dishes hot. At 20 dollars a dish , take the time to do more cooking it will be well worth the customers experience. The margarita was excellent 😌😌

Easily one of Tampa's best Mexican restaurants (for gringos anyway) that has stood the test of time. Beautiful special event space, a private dining room, ample parking and a full bar. They're especially popular for their weekday lunch specials. Though they offer a large menu, you may find the food rather bland. Still, they're worth trying.

We stopped here for lunch after landing in Tampa. We saw this restaurant on our way to our hotel and we decided to stop & I’m glad we did. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! I had the Jalapeño Margarita which was recommend by our waiter. I’m not a fan of spicy stuff but the margarita was perfect! The food was delicious as well!

Came here for Brunch for the first time and really enjoyed it. I like that they are a Mexican restaurant with a special Brunch menu with more breakfast-like options. Great atmosphere and decor, nice and roomy dining area, a large menu, great service, and huge portions. I plan on coming back here again.

Great spot!!! Authentic Mexican food with some great seafood options... The guacamole appetizer is as fresh as it gets!!!! Great service and the pitcher of top shelf margarita was a little high but it's strong, tastes great and they give a good amount... Overall pricing is fair but so worth the quality and taste of the food... Next time I'm in town I'll be back 💯

I’d love to give this place a better review, but it is just short of 5 stars for me. Chips were tasty but a bit greasy (salsa was awesome). I had plain old tacos and the ground beef seemed also greasy to me. The hard shells were very narrow at top, so it was hard to get cheese and lettuce into taco without breaking shell. My companions liked their fajitas and the margaritas were good. Cool atmosphere, good service. I’d go back and recommend but IMO they could do better. 😕

Wow! Usually I’m a stickler when it comes to Mexican because they are everywhere and not all are good but Miguel’s was a refreshing new spot to try. Chips & salsa were tasty & fresh. I couldn’t get myself to stop eating them before my meal arrived. The food was prepared exceptionally! I had the fajitas with pork and shrimp. Awesome portions and probably the best pork I’ve had in awhile. It wasn’t a boiled soggy mess but had a nice charr on it and super delicious. The stuff jalapeños with shrimp were phenomenal! I came here for brunch not expecting much and can honestly say I’m dying to go back!! 😋

Food is plated beautifully. The stuffed jalapeños were delicious. The "spicy" pork flautas slightly bland though, had to add more spiciness and salt to my meal. Otherwise was still good! Strawberry Margaritas were stellar. Atmosphere was 10/10. Would definitely go back with friends or coworkers.

Had a great lunch here, my wife and I walked in and we got seated immediately, we were served some chips and salsa as we browsed the menu, the food was good and the waitress was very friendly! Would love to come back again and try some different things on the menu!

The food & service are good. I am giving 4 stars because my guests didn't like their food. I had the steak fajitas and I loved it except for the tortillas. I would still go again. It is the best Mexican restaurant I tried in Tampa!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TAMPA! By far, this place is better than ANY other restaurant I've tried in this area. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious. They are more than accommodating for large groups and the drinks are strong! We went on Mother's Day so there was about a 45-minute wait for a table so we got drinks at the bar. I got the Casamigos Reposado margarita with a Grand Marnier floater. I also tried the frozen mango margarita - you can't go wrong with either! For our appetizer we got the Chile Con Queso - it was piping hot so I'd suggest letting it cool a little but it was some of the best queso I've ever had! For our entrees, we got the Kobe Style Fajitas, Fajitas Brochette, and Chicken Enchiladas. The portion sizes were massive and well worth the money spent. I can't wait to go back!

Had a wonderful dinner at the bar on Saturday night! The bartender was lovely and so enthusiastic about the food, it really made us excited for our meal. I had the seafood enchiladas which are excellent, and the skinny jalapeno margarita is huge and only 10$! Great place with exceptional service.

Truly authentic Mexican Seafood and traditional dishes. The burritos 🌯 so money...When I tasted the guacamole I knew this was going to be good. Fire roasted tomatoes and the nachos not real...I'm going to sit and nibble on some jalapeños.....Great take when in Tampa....

I have not.eaten here for a few years and was nearby at lunchtime so happy to find Miguels is still a great spot to enjoy some Mexican food. Arrived for a late lunch and was promptly seated by the host and attended to by our server. Chips and salsa were almost instantly set on our table. The chips were thin and crisp and held the delicious salsa well. The house sangria and frozen margarita were very good especially since house brand and served in nice heavy glasses. I noted the extensive tequila offerings and premium margarita selections on the drink menu and hope to sample on another visit. We ordered from the lunch and dinner options and there is a wide selection to suit most any dietary preference. Our entrees arrived quickly and were a good temperature and generously portioned. I especially liked that the tables were spaced apart, the restaurant was clean, the tables were set with fresh white paper covers over the tablecloths, chairs were comfortable and the decor was neutral and inviting with stone, wood, and tile textures. There is a nice wood bar near the center of the restaurant and did not check if the open courtyard seating is still available.. We had no trouble parking right next to the restaurant and noted overflow parking lot behind the restaurant lot, both fully paved and spots marked.

We have always looked forward to visiting Miguel's each time we visit the Tampa area. Disappointed this time due to quality of the food for the price we paid. Priced too high for product received.

The decor is pretty. Ambiance can be loud and crowded. Complementary chips and salsa. Food was overall good, rice lacked some flavor. Shredded Chicken was seasoned nicely inside my flautas. Cheese dip with chorizo was good. Kids meals come with plenty of food as pictured. We chose extra rice and no beans and a chicken and cheese quesadilla. No drink is included but dish cost was $6.95.

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! Every dish I tried was absolutely delicious and served in generous portions. The attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I was also impressed with the freshness of the seafood. 10/10 recommend!

Love eating in their outdoor court yard. The fare is typical Mexican fare and a bit pricey for rice, beans and enchiladas. The atmosphere is great and the servers are very attentive. On one visit I had the bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp appetizer which was cooked to perfection. I could have eaten another serving! Don't try the fried icecream. It is enough for two but it was horrible.

This place is on Kennedy in Tampa. Very nice restaurant. The outside patio area is the ultimate vibe. They have great drinks. I prefer to get lunch there, dinner is just as nice though.

It's hard to rate a place on just one dish of take out for the wife. She said she liked it and that's what 4 stars literally means. There is an outdoor and indoor bar and the same for dining. Located on busy Kennedy Ave. near McDill Ave. Miguel's is a Mexican Restaurant and I know little else about it.

When we arrived, we drove around looking for interesting restaurants and gave this place a try. It was a great decision. The inside is clean and the tables are well spaced so you are not on top of each other. Our server was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Margaritas were fresh tasting and didn’t sting of cheap sour mixer making they very enjoyable. The queso fundido was flavorful and served piping hot. This had to be some of the best salsa with a rich pepper taste and thick enough to stay put on the cris delicate chips. The quesadilla were hearty and flavorful. I do wish they would have spaced the dishes out a little bit so we could take our time and savor the yumminess. I will definitely return to enjoy Miguel’s again.

Had to wait to get seated even though no one else was in line. Hostess was not friendly. Server was slow, difficult to hear. Ordered appetizer that never came out before our meals. Ordered pitcher of marquritas that didn't didn't show up till we were done eating. No apologies were extended and bill was incorrect. Food was good, just service was terrible.

Food was delicious with a great variety to choose from, waiter was attentive and polite, and atmosphere was relaxed even in COVID-19 times. Waited quite a while outside to “Please Wait to be Seated” with a couple skipping us in line and being helped first because they got impatient and walked inside. Steak was not cooked as requested (medium) and was overcooked (well), but thankfully not dry.

We choose this place because my husband loves Mexican and seafood. The chips and salsa (you can tell this was freshly made) was so good, we almost were too full by the time our dinner arrived. My husband had the Seafood enchiladas(suggested by the waiter) and I had the quesadilla marciso. We were both in heaven! We were so full so got the tres leche cake to go (O.MG.!!!!!) and it was the best thing I've had all week long during vacation here.

Love, love, love this place. Awesome outdoor area in the back of the restaurant, great food and good vibe. They make my favorite sangria!!! Will definitely return next time in in the city.

The Top shelf Margarita is awesome... all the food was great, the fajitas are not served on a screaming skillet but they are delicious.

  • 4/5 Amanda J. 3 years ago on Google
The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice as well. I am only rating them a 4 because I had ordered a sangria and to be honest it did not taste good at all it was watered-down but like I said other than that the place was great.

The burrito was nothing special, you had to eat it with a fork and knife. It was edible. Maybe it's better known for other stuff.

I had been wanting to try this place for years. I was nicely surprised. The tacos were good and the yellow rice was not too salty. The refried beans were ok. On my first visit I tried the Kobe fajitas they were good but expensive and should have more meat for 29.95 cents. I have ordered 2 times here.

  • 5/5 Kelsey 3 years ago on Google
Best Mexican in Tampa. The interior atmosphere is nice. The outside of the building looks like a strip club, but that makes the moment you walk inside even better. Their yellow queso is a nice experience, but it’s really about that white quest which toys with your tastebuds in a delightful way. Everything else is good. Don’t be an idiot, eat here.

I've been going here for almost 30 yrs. Usually good, but today was a lemon. The chips and salsa or basically grease and salsa. When I complained they just kept bringing out the same greasy tortillas chips. I had the two enchilada lunch and the enchiladas were so dry I had to ask for extra enchilada sauce. Not sure if the cook's have changed or just a very bad day, but they didn't try very hard to satisfy me as a customer. If it continues it will be not one of my favorite Mexican places anymore.

I would have given this place 5 stars but the staff seemed a little impatient and a rush for us to leave. My husband took me here this past December for my birthday. I loved how there was the option to sit outside due to the pandemic. And their drinks were super strong and amazing which is a plus for me!
