You can tell this hotel had a bad wrap before by the money, and repair they’re putting into this location. Judging by the reviews, those reviews are prior to the renovations. However, I booked after the first wave of renovations and looked like there was some more work to be done, as they let us know that. The customer service In the hotel was amazing. We were greeted with smiles, and such an accommodating feeling. They upgraded my king to the king with the loft because she saw it was my birthday and were in town for that. Overall a hotel thats moving in the right direction based on what I saw. Will be booking with them again when in the area! Attached some photos!

I was very straight forward when they sent me a survey request online and I got a lovey call from a lady who worked there telling me off because I was honest and telling me what I had already known my review was straight forward and honest not my fault you guys got roaches and I’m not the only one who has complained of the cleanliness of the hotel the staff may have been nice but I wouldn’t want to lay my kids to sleep here we were offered to stay till 12pm instead of 11am check out…. But even after cleaning the room so we had somewhere to stay we had 3 hours of sleep then left quickly out the hotel didn’t want to be bringing anything home with us. If it offends you for your customers to speak on the quality of the establishment maybe rethink how you respond to them….

This is the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. Lets begin by saying that I paid $404 for just 2 nights with an extra $100 deposit (I didn’t think it was bad pricing thinking it was a better hotel). I got the king size suite. There were roaches walking on the walls and floor. It was very dirty. The a/c didn’t work upstairs (there’s 2 a/c, one for downstairs and one for upstairs). The electric plugs were not working (couldn’t charge our phones). It had a very strong moldy smell. The column holding the stairs (inside room) was flimsy (very unsafe). The sheets on my bed were dirty. There was a dirty towel left from whoever stayed there prior to us. This was a horrible experience. Another couple was in the room in front of us and also experienced the same. Never again.

Very rude lady at front desk, only nice person was Michael. They Complain about having 2 guests, which are family.came to visit my sister and it was a very unpleasant stay there. They basically harassed her the whole new year's weekend. Plenty of people had guests yet they bothered her. Also we only slept there 2 days ...we were out the whole time. It's Indian owned and it seems like they have a hate towards others that aren't Indian. Beware ⚠️

Nice, clean, the suites are great for the price. The staff is polite and courteous. But really if I have NO interaction with the hotel staff except of course the check in and that is limited, it's a good night. The rooms were well stocked with everything we needed. I'd recommend is foe a nice budget friendly place.

The room is very spacious. I love that there is A full kitchen With a stove and a dishwasher. The bed is very comfy also the room is very clean yet compared to where we came from at the red roof inn. We will be revisiting for sure. And almost forgot the staff is very nice and respectful. ❤️🥹

I have really enjoyed this hotel. Location is great, central to alot of places we were traveling. Had a continental breakfast that was good. Waffles included. Front desk very customer service oriented. Housekeeping kept room clean and visited daily to offer linen change and toiletries. I will be staying here again.Room clean and updated. Environment was nice. A little noisy at night but nothing intolerable.

We were looking for an economical hotel near the amphitheater for a concert that we had Saturday night. We chose Clarion Pointe because I am a choice hotel member. Michael was absolutely delightful. He got us checked in, he recognized me as a member with a complimentary bottle of water and bag of chips. He explained that the smell outside her room was fresh paint. The hotel is undergoing some remodeling. The outside of the hotel is lovely. They also have a nice pond to view. The hotel also offers a morning complementary continental breakfast. (Go early for the best selection) They offered make your own waffles for breakfast, cold cereals, instant oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices when we were there at 830 AM. I stopped at the desk to check out, I did speak with Michael to let him know that the room was missing some things. There were no shelves in the shower to put your shampoo or hang your wash cloth. You could tell the shower stall was newly installed. No towel hanger on the door for a bath towel. The room offered no blow dryer but that's okay. I brought my own. I learned that lesson the hard way at hotels in the past. The cleaning staff missed vacuuming the hall upon our arrival and check out, the room floor had dust you couldn't visually see, but could feel on bare feet from the remodeling, and because it is not a carpeted room, it would need to be mopped. I had to rewash my feet after my shower, and wear slippers. All and all it was a pleasant stay for one overnight stay.

Got a one bedroom with an upstairs loft. It's one of the coolest rooms I've ever seen. The inner courtyard is beautiful and relaxing. Each room has a balcony, and mine faced the pool and the inner courtyard. I enjoyed sitting out there and relaxing. This place is a hidden gem, and I liked staying here.

We had traveled for 14 hours, stuck in traffic a good piece of it going to our daughter s. We were tired and just wanted to stop and rest for the night. I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful motel. Clean and beautiful with friendly service. A shout to Micheal, you are A1 in your management of wanting to make your guests comfortable and have what they need.

Great location for a concert at the fairgrounds! Still under some construction but the 2 story suite is amazing! Great pool view, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bed and pillows are premium quality and the shower has amazing pressure. We overslept the 9am breakfast but maybe next time. Highly recommend this location for casino, Busch Gardens, or the fairgrounds!

I advise you, DO NOT stay here. This hotel honestly ruined our trip. I went with my significant other and our 16 month old son. So I paid about $305 for two nights, we stayed in the room with the loft. The bedspread had nasty stains on it. Upstairs where the bed is was 80 degrees. AC wouldn’t work. And there were no fans. I called the front office and they said they would be there in a few minutes to come check it out and they never showed up. So we had to sleep downstairs next to the AC on the uncomfortable pull out bed couch, which was disgusting. The sheets on the pull out bed had dirt specks on it. I felt so dirty sleeping at this place and my poor son and I had BLACK feet from walking around the room and the stairs to the loft obviously hasn’t been vacuumed as there was dirt and other crumbs all over it. Also the shower was terrible it had no water pressure and they only provide you with two bath towels. AND there was a dirty pair of UNDERWEAR hanging up in the bathroom closet and garbage in the mini fridge I had to throw away before putting our stuff in it. So our option was get refunded for one night or get moved to a brand new, single-story room. So we took the other room, which was just okay. But moving everything to the other room, especially with having a 16 month old, was exhausting and inconvenient. And the shower did not get warm, so every time we showered the water was freezing. Also, when we left the room to leave for a day out, two housekeeping people started arguing with us, angry that we complained about the room being dirty. They said that we are lying, and that they clean and mop everyday. All in all, the only refund they cared to give me was $20…….will never come here again. Very upsetting as we just wanted to have a nice little getaway with our son. After the lousy $20 refund I still paid $280 for staying at a very dirty place who argues with the guests when they walk out their hotel room. I never write reviews but this one felt very necessary.

So cute...the loft room was a perfect room. The noise was terrible and the freshly carpeted halls were a mess with trash. The smell of pot was very strong..it was suppose to be a non smoking hotel but it really smelled of pot ...I paid top dollar and he restaurant was under construction so there was no breakfast. I was given a sandwich bag with a breakfast bar. I hope they get thing place up to par because it is such a neat hotel concept.

**Update when this issue was brought to their attention in writing I still was not offered my money back but was offered 20% next night stay during a weekday. What a joke.** Rented the room for a night because we had an engagement nearby. Showed up late so we unloaded our stuff and got changed really quickly. Was in the room for at most 45 minutes. Walking through the door it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, old food, and cheap perfume trying to cover up the smell. We turned on the fan trying to clear some of it out. Also there wasn't a balcony as their website shows, it had a very blurred out window. While we were getting changed we noticed the stairs had food crumbs all over them, the bathroom floor had "water marks" and hair on it, the walls had what I hope was strawberry jelly on them. There were pennies glued to the floors, old nail polish on the night stand and the couch was heavily stained and smelled of sour milk. Because of the smells in the room I had a massive headache in the short amount of time we were in the room. We figured we would talk to them when we got back since we were running late. When we got back we went to the room, two doors out of 4 that lead to our room had dogs barking at them (it's a no pets allowed hotel). We got our stuff, took pictures, and went to the front desk. The man working at the front desk flat out told us we couldn't get a refund because the room was prepaid for (whatever that means, aren't most rooms prepaid for?). And they were fully booked (there were barely any cars in the parking lot at almost midnight). It was very clear they could care less how horribly presented their hotel was outside of their lobby and amenities. We travel quite a bit some months every weekend for business or pleasure. This is by far the worst experience we have ever had and will stick to the Best Westerns and Holiday Inn's that we usually book a room at.

This place was wonderful. Nice little getaway. The rooms were nice and the property had a resort feel to it. Perfect location for nature lovers surrounded by trees and a small lake. The pool is very inviting and the decor is perfect for photo opps. I would highly recommend to those looking to relax for a few days.

Since I travel for work, I have stayed here as a Quality Inn every few months for years, primarily due to the cheaper rates. Now known as Clarion, they have recently renovated the place and it is very nice now. Modern rooms; good bed; spacious bathroom; bright and open; better TVs; much better breakfast area than before; and good service at the front desk from Charlie. No doubt I will be staying here in the future!!!

I feel very bad for not communicating my feelings on this hotel. I stay all over the country and this place is BY FAR the best. No traffic noise and best of all the staff. The rooms are great and the newly renovated rooms are spectacular. If you come to Tampa stay here!

Had to switch hotels and this one will not disappoint you. They let me check in early because of my situation with the other hotel. Even though they were under renovation it was quite and clean and very welcoming. I've saved this hotel on my favorites list and will always stay here when I'm in this part of Tampa.

Just saw a roach like literally just now....this is mess up...room not that great but would probably be okay If didn't see a roach...spent majority of my day for business and came back at night...hotel needs some major upgrades but most importantly gotta take of the bug problem...breakfast looks nothing like in the pictures just some fruit 🍎 🍊 🍌 and frozen Bob Evans sandwiches you will have heat up. Oh let me not forget about the yogurt. Going to the laundry mat as soon as they open definitely don't wanna travel with roaches..

Decent facility. Rooms could use some updating and better cleaning but it sufficed for a 2 night stay. Comfortable bed. The king suite with loft area is neat and the buildings will present better when the remodels are completed. Very small pool and no extra/fancy amenities but it was decent enough. Stayed with kids and felt safe. Nothing fancy but would stay again if needed.

Stayed two nights for the Outlaw Festival. Very nice loft room, but my knees would have been happier not climbing them. Pool view balcony. Can't speak on breakfast, and such because we slept in both mornings. Definitely recommend.

This is easily the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in for the price range. Just needed a room for 1 night so wasn’t looking for anything extravagant but was actually surprised how nice it is here. Michael at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. Most definitely coming back here next time I need a room in Tampa area

My family stayed here and rented two different rooms. Michael checked us in and he greeted us and was very professional! He went above and beyond and made us feel very happy with our stay. His customer service attitude blew me away. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Michael got us extra towels and blankets on request. The pool was outdoor but it was warm! I was so happy to take my kid swimming. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, including my favorite Dave and Busters. We would happily stay here again and I highly recommend.

I booked this room through my Choice Rewards points, thinking it was going to be decent. Well I was WRONG, we checked in around 5pm went to get something to eat at 9:30pm, we brought it back to the room to eat. That is when all h3ll broke loose. The roaches started coming out... big ones, little one it was just nasty. They were coming from behind the bed, the mirror, even on the toilet. I called the front deck and told them, they came down and moved me to another room. I asked if the next room would have roaches as well, he told me that they did not have roaches and did not know how they got there. As if I was the one to bring them in. I wish I had of read the reviews or even looked at the stars on this place. Now I will say they are doing construction to update the whole place but this is something I could not handle. In the new room writing this. This our 3rd room the first on the sink was finished, however that was understandably due to the construction. The roaches are in room 116, the refrigerator did not have shelves as well. In the morning I was offered 15% off my next stay, which was laugh able. I don't ever plan to stay here again. The hotel looks nice updates will be lovely when finished, but they need to handle the pest problem. It is also close to the 75.

Location was close to other place I had to be. Everything was great with the room, but the floors needed a better mop job. Service was polite, helpful and professional. Would have been nice not to smell marijuana every time I went outside of the bldg.

This place has great amenities and it's very clean. They've been doing some renovations- everything is new and looks great. The staff is very helpful and great- Mike especially has been a huge help during our stay whenever we need something done! The pool is very clean and open whenever we want to use it. It's only 20 minutes from downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg is 30 minutes away. Beaches are close by as well. We have very much enjoyed our stay!

This place isn't the nicest it fulfilled are need of a place to stay but that's it. The room was dirty, the sheets were dirty and we saw a roach in the bathroom. They forgot to do house keeping our first day so when we came exhausted from the parks the rooms were a mess the trash was full and we didn't get any new towels. The breakfast on thier website is a lie they just give you a brown bag with a water and a muffin. Our room had a small kitchen but we were afraid to touch it. When we opened a cabinet the door stayed in our hands. One side of the hotel is under construction. The only good thing I can say is that the room was really big and had no carpets so for 4 of us it was great. But everything else was not worth ever coming back.

  • 3/5 MZ. GINA H. 2 years ago on Google
Only thing is I was walking in the kitchen and seen a roach crawling on the floor. Room smell like mold. It would be a nice kitchenette if they upgrade this whole hotel. I didn’t have no issues in the room. Plus I bought my own Lysol so I made sure to spray everything in the room including the sheets. I had Covid already I don’t need it again. It wasn’t too bad I only got it for a night.

This place is being renovated but we had no issues. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom had the largest shower and the hottest water. The room overlooked the patio with a fountain.

  • 1/5 Nickelcc 1 year ago on Google
Upon arrival the man at the front desk was rude and angry. All of our questions were met with attitude and we were treated like we were stupid for asking. The room was dirty, there was dirt and other debris in the drawers, the cabinets doors are barely hanging on, and the bedding is full of stains and holes. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

After having the worst possible experience at Red Roof in it was a welcome change to have a beautiful, clean, and welcoming environment. Helpful staff, clean , pest free rooms. Safe for children.

This place missed the two most important things: BED and BREAKFAST. The hotel is decent, clean and the people who work there were nice. The BED: probably the worst bed I've slept on. It was lumpy and very noisy (even for one person). Even Motel 6 has a better bed than this hotel. The BREAKFAST: What breakfast? When I made reservations for our family, I was told they would serve continental breakfast. The only thing they had was juice, a waffle mixer, some cereal and some bags of oatmeal. I thought the hotel itself was charming and it has potential but the management needs to get it together and fix the two most important things about a hotel: BED & BREAKFAST. People pay for hotels to have a comfortable bed to sleep on and good breakfast. Unfortunately this place missed it 😕 👎🏼👎🏼

  • 1/5 C C. 1 year ago on Google
I recently stayed at the hotel for a few days for the hurricane. I called the hotel before making my reservation because I wanted to see if they had backup generator just in case the power went out. When someone finally answered the phone and yes I called the actual hotel NOT Choice I was told that they did so I made the reservation online. Well when I went to check in there were several people waiting and some of them were upset because they were also told the same thing about generators and breakfast. Some of the guest were worried because they needed to know because of health issues. I checked in and got my room and when I opened the door I immediately noticed that that the room had not been cleaned properly. The floors in the entire room were dirty they had stains on them, hair in bath tub on bathroom sink, stains on toliet , white putty on walls were apparently they had done some work on it, dust on lamps, headboards were dirty, refrigerator needed to be cleaned out, microwave dirty, the cabinet in kitchen area was leaning forward so you have to be careful when you open it after cooking something because the plate in microwave would move around and when you opened door the plate would fall out if you didn’t pay attention. The coffee maker smelled like mold. I went back to front desk and spoke to a young Indian guy who told me he was the manager I explained to him that my room had not been cleaned he told me it should have been I tried to get him to come look at it but he said he would see about sending someone. About a hour late a older Indian guy came and said here gave me a small dirty mop and broom and a spray bottle with yellow stuff in it. I said aren’t you going to clean it he said no and walked away. I ended up cleaning it myself with my own cleaning stuff. I cleaned everything but the floor. When ever you would enter the door on the floor that I was on it smelled like marijuana someone on the floor that had a dog that was barking. I paid to much money to have to come in and clean my own room. There was a woman with glasses at the front desk that was rude . All I can say is that I am thankful that we didn’t lose power I hope that some of the other guest that had issues too will do a review as well because this location in Brandon really needs some improvement. The lobby is beautiful it’s just some of the staff. Don’t get wrong it wasn’t everyone because there was 1 woman there that was very helpful and she did everything possible when I did see her to help me. I tried to upload pictures but I couldn’t get them on here. This location really needs some improvement.

  • 1/5 Robin M. 1 year ago on Google
Well the lobby looks great. I am hoping our room was 1/2 done. It looked like drugs were cooked in our room. Water stained ceiling tiles in bathroom, holes in wall, paint missing lots of areas, gross vents…. The furniture looked beat up. My husband didn’t even want to take his shirt off to sleep in the bed! Anyways we didn’t want to use the shower either….: it looked dirty! We left as soon as we woke up. It’s close to the amphitheater, which is why we got it. We usually book another hotel when we come for concerts but totally Forgot and they were full. We will not forget again and if we do, we will not stay there!

Room was nice, they're doing some renovations so a little dirty. Mediterranean style, outside courtyard was really nice. Could have sat out there all night long. Housekeeping was a bit rude. I'd stay there again.

This is a little older hotel. The staff are nice. It could use a little up dating. The rooms could use a better cleaning. Dirt in corners and base board area

  • 3/5 Jeff B. 1 year ago on Google
It's clear the owner is putting money into this hotel to improve the guest experience so perhaps best to give that some time. I hope that the very first thing they work on are the below window air conditioning units. My primary objective at a hotel is to sleep and I had a rough couple of nights. You can run the fan constantly which is nice but when the compressor kicks in, the whole unit rattles, enough that it will wake a person up. Multiple times per night I was startled awake and I'm a light sleeper to begin with. Now maybe that was just my room (114) and they have upgraded the AC elsewhere or I just had a bad unit but a glance at a other rooms indicate that there are mostly older AC units. The bed was comfortable but I never understand these half pillows, particularly on a king bed. The shower was a little quirky. Turn the handle on partially for hot water. I waited 15 minutes for hot until I finally called the front desk to sort this out. The location is safe, quiet and out of the way and the courtyards are quaint. If they fix the AC issue, I'd stay again. Otherwise, hard pass.

First off, I’m a little angry because I booked this hotel online based on the reviews, and when I got there it did not match the ratings given. Now I figured out why, if you look at the reviews, all of the 5 star reviews are fake and clearly written by the hotel staff or owners. It’s a dead giveaway when every 5 star review is anonymous or the name on the review has 1 review, not to mention they’re not written the way someone would do a review and sound totally scripted. Anyway, I paid 130 a night which is about twice what this place should cost. It’s being renovated which is good. I wouldn’t bring a woman there or kids, not the safest place. I wouldn’t go back again

So, my fiance and I booked a package through Travelocity. In the description of this hotel, it states there was a "full breakfast" included with our stay. After staying our first night there, we come down to find nothing of subtenance. It was definitely a continental breakfast. Also, the person at the front desk told us they "upgraded" our room, and it was not an upgrade. The sheets and towels were washed with cheap Clorox, which caused a reaction or rash. The sink and shower gets clogged after using them. The water goes down very slowly (I guess they kept the old piping). In addition, the walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbor outside or in their rooms. By the way, do not expect any housekeeping. They will not clean your room until after you leave. The service is fine, no rudeness or anything; however, do not be surprised to be charged an extra "service fee" of $4 per night. Overall, our stay was very disappointing and misleading.

We stayed here 7 years ago and the place was good. now their improved site advertises free continental breakfast that only includes cereal and wafers, no eggs or bread or sausage. Also, we went to breakfast, and when we returned to the room, they had deactivated our room key

This place is a true hidden gem! We had an unexpected one night stay in Tampa and I found this beautiful place. Small and quiet with a resort feel to it. The property is well maintained with beautiful landscaping and an awesome pool. They staff were very kind! The rooms were SO clean and beautifully updated with a modern touch. The bed and pillows were high quality and we slept beautifully. They offer complimentary breakfast and have a selection of snacks and drinks to purchase as you please. Located very close to the hard rock Casino and very affordable! If we ever find ourselves in Tampa again we will be staying here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I had a great experience at Clarion Pointe. Rooms and common areas were very clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again - this place is a great value and much better than other nearby places I’ve stayed at this price point.
