Really surprised and impressed coming into this place... The environment walking in was like crossing a border into an alternate reality, a warmer and more welcoming one than the world outside. There's music, a crowd of smiling faces laughing and playing games with friends, gentle lighting, and a bartender who truly seems to treat you as almost family. He told me about Kava, then gave me the first shell free since it was my first time in offering the same to other customers and then cheering "Bula!" with everyone at the bar. He then did the same with Kratom, providing an explanation and offering my first cup on the house! Both drinks were actually really good, too. Apart from that, I came to do some work on my laptop and there's plenty of desk space for that as well as lounging space on couches and at the bar. I gound s comfortable place and took a picture for this review. I can see this becoming a regular coffee shop of mine to work out of while I live in this area. Kava latte with oat milk and vanilla flavoring, Bula!

For the Saturday morning I was looking for a coffee shop and decided to try out Bula Kavananda for the coffee. Bula Kavananda is an amazing coffee shop with beautiful interior and positive vibes. When I entered the cafe I was greeted by the cashier Maggie and she helped me to decide the coffee by answering different questions. She was very helpful and had a smile on her face while answering the questions. After exploring the menu i decided to order Matcha Latte. The service was good and i got my hot coffee in 10 minutes. The coffee was delicious and freshly brewed. I loved the coffee and atmosphere. I can clearly say that it is one of the best coffee shop in Tampa. I will be definitely back to try Kahwa too.

Came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago to meet up with a friend. The mocha latte I had was delicious and tasted great!! Also, I enjoyed the ambiance and loved the nice chairs. I have never been to a coffee shop that had an actual bar. I'm definitely coming back here again.

This is the best coffee house we have ever been to. We tried the Fiji Kava and got all tingly. Chris, behind the bar, was so friendly and kind. We immediately felt at home. We both had the cold brewed coffee, which was deliciously amazing. They even carried monk fruit sweetener! It is located in an old house, which is stunningly beautiful. Even the bathroom is pretty. Loads of people working on laptops enjoying their drinks. The bar is huge and fun to sit at. We will definitely be returning!

Atmosphere is wonderfully calming, great morning spot. Curious about kava and some of their herbal infusions, but I got a latte as I was looking for coffee. Nice outdoor front porch space too, inside desk space for serious work-from-coffee-shop-ers. Mostly drinks, I didn’t see any food cases with morning fare.

The best VIBE kava bar in Tampa. Friendly kava tenders, great group of regulars and OG Gabriella is making fantastic new drinks and holding it down! If you are in the area stop by and have a fantastic time! Definitely worth a visit.

Great kava/coffee shop located in the bungalow style house. Authentic Seminole Heights vibes, friendly atmosphere, great crowd and staff. Many daily specials, events, and activities for socializing. It has great corner for work and study. Reasonable prices. A true hidden gem in Tampa!

I am so happy to find a non-alcoholic bar these days. We don’t have these in the town that I live in and I sure wish we did. The atmosphere is relaxing fun and decorated with cool art which makes it a win-win with a drink menu loaded with new things to try! I had the lotus tea and it was my first time trying it. I went back to order another because I enjoyed it so much. It did what it was supposed to do which is make you happier. All of the drinks on the menu are meant to be mood elevators and that makes it a great place to bring a friend that you can chill out with for hours. The night I showed up, there was a DJ running a trivia game and it was a lot of fun. I told many of my friends and family that showing up on Sunday night would be a fun way to spend their evening.

This place varies wildly on how long you’ll want to stay based on the music and who’s behind the bar. Sometimes it’s such a good energy with great music, other times you have monotone kavatenders blaring cheesy pop punk covers so loud you can’t concentrate. Short guy has the worst music taste.

The vibes! Their coffee selection is awesome. They are dog friendly and you truly feel like your at home on the couch. It’s a great cafe.

Really cool place. I had the best lemon Roibose tea. I highly recommend this as a cool spot with great people and an awesome staff, especially Monica.

It’s nice, but if you want to study or do work, DONT Come here on Sunday night. Loud music w/ DJ. If smoking bothers you, AVOID this place!! The front porch is nice, until people go out on it smoking cigarettes and it gets all on you. Other than the smoking, it’s a great environment inside for a cozy coffee/ kava spot.

All the products are sublime, and the service and vibe is the cherry, banana, whip and fudge on top of the sundae! Camilla and Jason are wonderful. I come from an hour and a half away, and hope they are there when I go. I was nervous the first couple times, but they are very welcoming with nice vibes.

This place has been great! I stumbled upon it while traveling for work about a year ago. Unfortunately this visit, the barista wasn’t as friendly as typical. I was sad to hear Chris no longer works here, he was the highlight of my trip each time. His presence is definitely missed!

Ok. This is by far the best kava bar I have been to in West Florida. The prices are not outrages. The kava is a good strength. The employees and other customers are so friendly. It’s been nice to have a home away from home away from home lol Maggie is awesome, ask for recommendations! Parking is a little struggle unless you think outside the box (nice neighborhood to park in)

This is my 3 rd time going there and I absolutely love it. Great place to hang out over the weekends or sit quietly on comfy couches and read. The barista Wes and the other girl I forgot her name they both are super friendly and creative. If you like customized coffee they will try their best to create it, just ask for it. The ambience feels really homey and relaxing. And please don't forget to play the African safari themed chess.

Really nice vibe, coffee was delicious, and the music was fitting for the feeling of the establishment. Place seems animal friendly, lots of people brought their cute pups. Parking was difficult to figure out; we ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood but it’s actually directly behind the building, just hidden a bit. Only docked a star because one customer was so extremely loud that her laughter was ear grating, and quite obviously upsetting the rest of the patrons, and it didn’t seem like the staff mentioned for her to consider the other people in the building. They just kinda let her keep talking at max volume and basically screeching every time she laughed, which nearly made me and my group leave but she, thankfully, left first. So, keep in mind the place is very small and you should keep the volume to a considerate level for other guests :) I’ll definitely go back though; it’s a very chill and relaxing place!

Kris has been the most welcoming person. And the reason I have continued to come here!!! Every time I have come here he has continued to be overwhelmingly welcoming and pleasant to be around. He always makes time for a conversation and makes the BEST DRINKS EVER. I didn’t know what kava was before coming here and was a little skeptical, however, Bula has the best environment ever and I will be back

I’ve gone twice so far and Oml it’s so nice during a random Thursday Night! Love the atmosphere! Great music and everyone seems friendly! I love when kava bars have a welcoming atmosphere because I tend to meet new epic peeps! I had two premium shells and an 8oz Blue lotus >>> Very much worth it! I got so muddy but of course I drove home safe and sound !

BULA KAVANANDA IS THE BEST DANG KAVA BAR IN TAMPA. Not even close the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is great. Not to mention the owner is a great guy. The coffee is out of this world as well.

The AC has been so bad. I love coming here but it’s been this way for awhile. The owners need to do something. It’s summer in Florida and I shouldn’t be sweating inside your establishment that’s fully indoors. It’s probably 10 degrees cooler than outside. Not sure how long it’s been but I’m gonna have to go elsewhere until the owners fix the issue. Not sure what issue is here. They bought a tiny AC unit that doesn’t do anything. I’m hot and irritable do something lol it’s Florida!!! 😭😅

You cannot beat the atmosphere at this local, charming, Coffee and Tea house! The drinks are on par with the atmosphere, and the staff is amazing! Whether we're just relaxing with friends or cranking out work, Chris and Jason definitely keep it fresh with daily, curated, music playlists.

This place is boycotted..A toxic environment from old paradigms that desperately need to fade away operating under the guise as a conscious community..I never cared for the manager, but I loved this place until a few weeks ago an aggressive male patron chased me down the road in his car attempting to run me off the road.I immediately reached out to their management to inform them.After weeks of no response I was told by management"we don't check the answering machine" "oh I don't know why he's acting like that again, I'll have a talk with him."AGAIN???( This patreon has acted agressive with other women in the past.)Women have been banned by this same manager for talking too much with male patrons by making them uncomfortable..This same manager talks to her employees like peasants as they walk on egg shells around her because of her unaddressed mh issues.. to not push back and challenge is to be part of the problem..All people deserve protection.All people deserve respect.We as people have the power to decide what we support by the money we spend at these establishments,and the new paradigms emerging call for us to be conscious consumers

I loved the atmosphere of this place and loved the customer service. I came in to get a coffee and to work from my laptop. The coffee was amazing. The customer service was amazing. The relaxing music was amazing. The Wi-Fi was amazing. Just amazing, amazing, amazing. I will be back.

Walking into this place makes you forget about the world. Never have I seen a place with such a vibe. Love spending time here. Staff is very friendly, and you will see the same faces every time you walk in.

Maggie is so great!! She is really good at making the Atmosphere feel like home. She goes above and beyond on customer service and always remembers conversations we’ve had in the past. This place is the best! Highly recommend.

Absolutley love this place! Perfect lounge to study, socialize, or sit alone and ponder your thoughts. Super warm and cozy vibe, and the Kavatenders are also extremely welcoming and upbeat. Highly recommend stopping by and checking it out if you're in the Tampa area.

The drinks and the staff are awesome! I love to write here, and the music is just loud enough that it helps me concentrate. Lots of milk options too. And the staff knows a lot about their drinks and are happy to talk to people about them. Definitely drop by if you've never tried Kava, but you're into the idea. 10/10.

Chris/Kris was super friendly and helpful! His personality aligned perfectly with the atmosphere of Bula. I had been trying to find a place with bulletproof coffee, and I’m so happy I found Bula. And I was happy to see they had Delta 8, too.

This is a beautiful space with a great vibe. They have kava, of course, but also a full menu of specialty teas and coffees. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. So glad I tried this great place and I will definitely be back!

Coffee is good, not sure about the atmosphere. I guess if you're 20 and work from home or do your school work in a coffee shop it's good atmosphere. Little weird to me.

Amazing atmosphere. Very inviting staff and customers. Great place to work too! So happy this great cafe is so close to home. Def will be returning! I never had kava before and they provide a free sample and give a lovely education on it. It is a wonderful, relaxing drink.

So we only go to Grassroots which is basically across the street but there was no parking so we decided to try Bula out and it is a very different place. So Grassroots is more open meant for talking and playing board games while Bula is meant to sit quietly and work like study but with very chill Stoner style vibes. Also the cover there is like at least three times as strong which is great but it's less of a communal fun place and more of a let's relax and unwind kind of place

Absolutely loved the experience and atmosphere! It's the perfect spot for quality time with family and friends. Moreover, it's an excellent hub for creative inspiration and a productive haven – like a home away from home. You won't want to miss out on this gem!
