We were in Tampa for an extra long weekend. Ginger beard was hands down the best coffee we found. We even returned for a second visit the next day. We tried everything, from the hot drinks to the cold coffee on tap. You can tell that they really care about their coffee and the customers. On top of the good coffee, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The owner gave us a list of good food and drink spots in Tampa. All of which were amazing. Give this place a try!

First, just love the name. Evokes a fun and informal vibe, which is a great descriptor for the atmosphere. Based on other recommendations, I ordered the dirty chai with oat milk, and I absolutely endorse that it was the best I’ve ever had. We also had a nitro which was smooth and delicious. Friendly service and love that it doubles as a brewery. Will be back again. Bonus is the pool table.

Came here on a friend's suggestion and he couldn't have been more right about this place--excellent atmosphere, spacious seating, fantastic location, and GREAT coffee. I started with a peanut butter nitro cold brew, added some cinnamon? Just right! Then I went in for the chai latte. And that was a MISTAKE. That incredible beverage went down WAY too quickly. It was the perfect temperature and SO delicious. The cold brew was the entree, the chai latte was dessert. Fantastic customer service with, YOU GUESSED IT, a ginger-bearded barista. I'm guessing he's Joseph, as he was umpteen feet tall. Super-great guy, knowledgeable, kind without being "much." I really appreciate that. Don't come at me with your extra before I've had coffee, please. And he did NOT. Love this joint. Truly. Highly recommended.

My teeth are buzzing! This is the BEST Nitro Cold Brew I have ever had. Served up by what I assume is one of the owners (judging by the epic ginger beard). Excellent service! Even had a short conversation, asked how my day was, and where I was from. Explained the cold brews, and even inquired about any caffeine sensitivity. Super friendly service, and hands down the best (strongest) cold brew I have ever had. If you find yourself exploring Tampa, be sure to check out this gem.

Great locally owned coffee shop that shares a space with a small local brewery (coffee by day, beer by night). Known for their awesome cold nitro brew, but they also have drip coffee with free refills, and all the other normal espresso drink options. Awesome chai latte (with or without espresso) Digital nomad friendly with outlets on the bar and a great atmosphere so you’ll see plenty of people working from here every morning. They also have a second location inside Magnanimous Brewing north of downtown. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Excellent all around! The espresso is magnificent with a touch of 1/2 & 1/2. Enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and my dog loved it too! This is my new spot for great coffee!

Super cool, chill place! Extremely dog friendly, which is so wonderful! This is truly a local spot! They are known for their cold brews, and they are excellent! Josh greeted us when we walked in and he was so very helpful and gave a very warm welcome to these out of towners!

There I was: a tourist looking for an "energetic" breakfast before my 9am bike tour. Succulent "dirty" (expresso shot) chai latte and kashi cereal and milk at 8am on a Sunday to the rescue! Josh, Derek and friends were friendly, witty and went above the call of duty with tips and aid - one of the best experiences I've had in 3 decades of traveling the world. Extensive selection with sincere cheerfulness and willingness to accommodate. I understand that the brewery is new - must go back to try it! Could easily spend a relaxing day with friends - from coffee/tea/cereal to brewskies!

Best dirty chai out there. Started coming to the gym across the street about a year ago and stopped in with some buddies ordered a dirty chai. It’s hands down the best one I’ve had to date. Not to mention the awesome staff, couple guys that are incredibly down to earth with some killer beards. My favorite coffee spot in Tampa, 3 years in💪🏾

Great vibe! I was recommended the cold brew - it was everything I wanted. I listened to the flavor notes and the recommendations being given to everyone placing their order and was impressed! These guys know their coffee as well as their beers. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again!

Without a doubt one of the greatest coffee spots I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Everyone is stupendous, friendly, and the coffee is delicious. We were in Tampa for a bachelor party and this place hit the spot twice now. Fantastic bar as well. If you haven't tried it, please do yourself the favor.

This coffee shop is tucked away inside Pour House, so you might miss it on the first go around - keep looking! It's worth uncovering. My husband and I have been several times, and we're always very happy with our drinks. I asked if they had an off-menu item, and they were able to work with me to get the drink I was looking for. Service is quick and friendly - I'm sure we'll be back again soon.

Best coffee! The cappuccino with whole milk was smoother than a newly paved road. Strong flavor with a toasty after taste that screams fresh and handmade. The barista prepared it right in front of me while making small talk that made me feel welcome and special. The atmosphere is pretty chill and relaxed, giving off good vibes. Love the unique artwork on the walls! Pet friendly if they're on a leash. Saw a good puppy who was so proud of her toy. Totally worth a trip to Tampa just to visit this place. If I lived here, I'd be getting coffee here every day.

Seasonal nitro brew was perfect for a warm day. Environment is great for work and socials. Definitely think the owners make it special. Can understand why it’s a bumping local spot

Quality coffee, would definitely keep coming to support this small business preferably over the franchise Starbucks down the street. Tried their vegan cinnamon roll today and it was delicious!

Awesome Coffee spot co-located with Late Start Brewery. Inside had is a casual environment, and there is a great patio outside shared by the other businesses in the plaza.

This is the coffee I never knew I needed! It is high quality coffee and an awesome experience. The nitro pb coffee is smooth and not sweet! The staff are kind, friendly and helpful. They offered suggestions of things to do and places to go during our visit to Tampa- and also offered to message them on IG if we had questions.

My first visit was based on the reviews and since then this is my go to coffee shop. I visit different coffee shops as a hobby but I will always come back to Ginger Beard. I also try hot chai tea lattes anywhere I go but so far nothing has topped Ginger Beard's chai latte. Josh and Derek are super nice, Josh is really engaging and Derek is super chill. Depending on the day of the week you could get either Josh or Derek behind the counter, and they'll get to know you as well which is nice! Since I usually go at the end of the week I'll see Josh a lot of the times and he's memorized my order since I get the same thing every time lol. A lot of people come here to work or study and they allow pets, I would definitely recommend for students and anyone who works remotely. Thanks Josh and Derek for the great coffee and lattes :) They've earned every single 5 star review on here

My papa and I were on our way out of town and decided to grab a drink before we left. We stumbled across Ginger Beard Coffee and I couldn’t have been more happy with the experience we had. We were greeted instantly and welcomed in, Josh then asked what brought us in to which prompted him and my papa to spark a conversation on espresso beans (my papas a big coffee/espresso connoisseur) once he finished up with him he then asked what he could get for me. I told him I wasn’t a big coffee drinker but he saw that as a challenge and quickly asked me questions about tastes I like. He then gave me a sample of a peanut butter latte with oat milk and MY GOODNESS, it was one of the best drinks I’ve had. His service was unmatched and his excitement for customers was sincere. Do not skip out on this place because the service and products are high quality.

I was traveling to Tampa for a concert and work. I needed to find a place with great coffee and a good atmosphere for co-working as well. Ginger Beard did indeed have a barista with a magnificent ginger beard and a chill demeanor. I had the peanut butter nitro cold brew and an espresso, both were excellent. I did not see any food on offer but there was beer on tap and parking was perilous if you're unfamiliar with the area. I drove around in circles trying to find the location and ended up asking a kind local for walking directions once I'd parked.

Quite literally some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I got a Cortado with oat milk and it was creamy and delicious. Absolutely will be coming back. ::)

Great nitro cold brew on tap. Tons of caffeine so take it slow. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They usually have a breakfast pastry to go item from a local business which is great to see local business support each other. Come for the coffee, stay for the beer when they switch over to Pour House at night

Hands down the best coffee, chai, etc. in Tampa. Located inside Pour House in Tampa’s Upscale Channel District, these bearded wizards construct the best micro-brew coffee in Tampa. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the effortless comfort of this coffee lounge done exceedingly well.

We stopped in a whim for coffee and can’t wait to go back!! One of the owners, Josh, helped us and was super friendly!! He let us taste the different nitro cold brews before we decided on what we wanted and told us about the different flavors and caffeine contents. We told him we weren’t from that area and he made a bunch of great recommendations for places to eat and get drinks. The coffee was was so good, I’ll be be back for the peanut butter cold brew for sure!! 10/10 I highly recommend stopping in, you won’t be sorry!

Great coffee, great beer at night. The peanut butter less-caf is my go to coffee. Staff is incredibly friendly and learned my regular order.

Ginger Beard is a true, local gem. It is locally owned and the two owners are here daily, pouring the best coffee/nitros/cold brews and making some of the best lattes/cappuccinos around. On certain days, they offer locally sourced treats (waffles, doughnuts, etc). A lot of locals spend the morning at the bar, working and/or catching up with friends (and the owners, who are also friends). It’s got a great local vibe, but not cliquey - “outsiders”/“newbies” are always warmly welcomed! In the morning, there’s plenty of street parking on Madison or in the Grand Central garage. In a few weeks, I am moving away from the neighborhood, but will make-a-point to drive to Ginger Beard. It’s worth the trip! I hope all of the new residents in Water Street and Channelside patronize this business because it’s ONE OF THE BEST!

I absolutely love this place. It gives Irish pub vibes at 9am in the best way. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel like they’re your oldest friends. Highly recommend the peanut butter draft latte.

Cool coffee and apparently brewery in the Channel Side district of Tampa. The staff was really friendly and the coffee was good. Seems like a cool spot to enjoy a rainy weekend morning with friends, probably not not a place to work and/or read.

A really great coffee shop! The Peanut Butter (seasonal) Draft Cold Brew was stellar, the service was friendly and the environment was welcoming. Dog-friendly too!

My girlfriend and I just went in yesterday and we were blown away. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome. It was our first time at Ginger Beard's and we didn't know what to expect. We had our laptops with us and weren't sure how accommodating this coffee shop would be. The locals right away noticed us looking for outlets and immediately showed us around the shop to where we could connect. We ordered two lattes on tap-- one peanut butter, one peppermint-- and we were so happy with our choice. Usually, coffee on tap is dangerously caffeinated; I'm talking, can't drive on the highway anxiety-type caffeine levels but these lattes were not like that at all. Josh, the friendly guy behind the bar was able to explain exactly how much caffeine was in a serving, and explain the difference between their tap lattes and a standard nitro brew. The lattes were delicious and the perfect amount of caffeine. Finally, I can get the taste of a nitro brew without the heart palpitations haha. Music was great, and we actually started up conversations with four different people we had never met before; how often does this happen these days? Such a good community feel at this coffee shop. Josh behind the bar was super charismatic and made sure every person in the shop was taken care of and having a good time. He also had great food recommendations which we took him up on. Want local? Want community? Want great coffee with great conversations? Yup, this is your spot.

Simple, straightforward menu offerings. Well roasted beans served up nice and hot. One of my favorite mocha cappuccinos in Tampa.
