Such a beautiful tribute to all those lives lost over the years fighting for our freedom. The entire park was beautiful and well kept. Perfect place for a nice little picnic next to the water as well. From start to finish it took us around 45 mins to walk throughout every exhibit. Due to COVID (I assume), the museum was closed. We were able to peek our eyes through the glass to see part of the inside though. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this park for a weekend or weekday visit with the family.

I great park for all! I find it peaceful and easy to contemplate here. My husband can fish while I do what I do. There is a lot of respect and honor here. I posted pictures that peaked my interest.

A nice relaxing park with several plaques and various statues memorializing past wars and fallen soldiers. Very calm and a nice place to visit and relax. A brief paved walking path that follows the river. You can fish or just enjoy the breeze and watch the alligators.

This place was absolutely beautiful !!! This is what a Veterans Memorial Park is supposed to look like !!! We were here for the Carry the Load event and this was just perfect !!! Tribute to every branch and just about every major war. Speechless is the way to explain this park. They thought of everything when putting this together. Must come & walk through all of their Memorial statues.

It's what's on the inside (that's just as important to Veterans) as to what's on the outside in the memorial park. A VSO officer named Patrick is patient, helpful and caring. An experienced veteran in all areas of helping and assisting those who need VSO services. Thank you for your service and ALL you do for veterans Patrick!

Very beautiful park. It is small but such a great way to honor Veterans from different war time eras from Hillsborough county that died in service. There are some picnic areas overlooking the river.

Great park to show respect and to learn history about the people (and animals) that served our Country. There are lots of outside memorials and a small inside museum. Not really a good place for little ones, lots of things that look fun to climb but are off limits. Maybe they should think about making this place a little more family friendly. I know my father who served, would love nothing more than to hear the sound of children laughing and playing, in a country he fought to protect... Don't wait until Memorial day to come enjoy this park.

One of - if not - THE nicest Veterans Memorials I’ve seen so far. This place is wonderfully setup and the pictures don’t do it justice. What a fantastic way to memorializes our heroes.

AWESOME FREE HISTORIC PARK! More people should visit here, it is a large park all about our countries veterans and the wars they fought for us. It's amazing how many memorials they're are to look at as well as an actual helicopter, tank, and many other artillery displays! It's also beside a large canal. It's a 'must see' if you haven't yet! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED!!

I had the privilege to play taps for commemorative ceremony recognizing the 20-year anniversary or the start of the Iraq War (March 20th, 2003). This ceremony was held at the Veterans Memorial Park, with Congresswoman Kathy Castor and Lt. General Carl E. Mindy as the two key-note speakers. After this event and walked around this quiet and peace park reading the many and admiring the plaques, monuments and memorials scattered across the grounds.

Excellent place to visit for veterans and families, non veterans also will learn a lot at this Memorial park and Museum. Survivors can purchase a brick to be displayed at the specific war Memorial in memory of their loved ones. This is an exceptional place to visit and to Honor and recognize those who fought and served for this country. A must visit for everyone.

Lots of history here. A beautiful and serene park to pay homage to the many men and women who served our country. Pet friendly park with a path for walking, running, built in exercise equipment etc. Get there early to watch the sunrise.

We attended a memorial service and it was very well done. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we really didn't explore the grounds.

This place is amazing. As crazy as it sounds, you can almost feel every veterans presence. There is such a sense of peace sitting in any area of the park, no matter which memorial you are observing. No, I am not a veteran myself but have many family members who are. I will be going back to make this a definite all day trip.

😠 There's a family of 5 HOMELESS people actually living and sleeping in the park right now! For 5 days in a row went there with my cousins to play some basketball in the facilities in Bypass Park and we wanted to seat on the seating area and those homeless were SOOOOOO STINKY that we had to go at once...
