My wife and I ate dinner here for our anniversary tonight. Let me begin by saying that the biggest pros and best part of our experience were the views of downtown when sitting outside and the exceptional service of our host Kathleen. She could not have been more on top of things and gets an easy 10/10. I would also like to thank the staff for adjusting our reservation when we were running late. Other pros: - The broccoli portion was far better than I expected - The volcano rolls my wife ordered exceeded her expectations - Plenty of parking, reasonably priced and easy to access. The only negatives from the experience were not knowing or being told that parking could be validated to receive a $10 discount. Parking on site is $5/hour which isn't bad at all but it would have been nice to save the $10. Also, it looks like we were charged for what I thought was our complimentary anniversary slice of cake. All in all, a nice experience and we will likely return.

First time here. I have to admit the view is why the dishes are so high. My party and I had sushi. I have to say Sushi alive has better prices and more to chose from. Don't get me wrong the food other than the crab cakes was excellent. Especially the lobster roll ! The crab cakes were so pasty and mushy I would not recommend it. However ! I'm use to my crab cakes being baked or fried Here is our list from start to end Appetizers! Coconut shrimp 4 jumbo count for $15.00 Course one! I had . Classic Dragon roll. Which is $15 shrimp and big bites of eel with eel sauce. Lady in pink Close to a Mexican roll I was told $15.00 Course 2! Blue crab cake. With orange sauce $15 Final bite! Lobster roll. Tampura With eel sauce $19

Visited for the first time today for their Sunday Brunch. The restaurant is lovely and you have a view of the waterfront from nearly every table. The waitstaff was exceptional and cordial. Drinks were brought expediently, water filled before glasses became empty, plates cleared quickly, and checked often to see if we needed anything. The food was very good as well. You had your standard breakfast offerings plus a custom omelet station. The bacon was well prepared and the grits were good. Those are two difficult things for a lot of restaurants to get right, but Jackson's pulled it off. The grits had a few lumps by the time I got around to them but they still had great flavor and were overall creamy. I liked that the eggs were soft as well, overcooked scrambled eggs are just not appetizing. There was an assortment of seafood dishes that I did not partake in, but my friends enjoyed them. I enjoyed my lunch selections even more than breakfast. I sampled the brisket, which was so flavorful and completely tender, chicken that was in an olive sauce, olive & feta salad, and probably my favorite of the regular food items was the flank steak with yucca, amazing! I would suggest adding a couple more side dish items, there were some baby potatoes, but mashed potatoes, a rice dish, or mixed veggies would have been nice as well. (And I'll be honest, there might have been some more options that I missed) I wasn't very tempted by the dessert options. The mint chocolate macaron, and the bread pudding were the stand outs here. I wish I had saved room for more of the bread pudding! People will balk at the $40 price for this meal, but honestly it's not that bad. It's a nice restaurant with a great view, attentive staff, and for the most part really good food that you can enjoy as much of as you like. Something else I appreciated was that their chairs are comfortable and very lightweight. Very easy to pull out and sit close to the table. I wish more restaurants would follow suit. I generally prefer booths but here I'm definitely okay with a table.

Update 2/17/24: Sadly have to share my latest experience to Jackson's on my birthday. For a Saturday was not too busy & took 20 mins to get water. When about to order told that the menu they gave the party was wrong. The attitude of the servers was piss poor. Made it clear that after picking something from the first menu, that they will not accommodate. The managers looked aloof in suites and unapproachable. After how I felt on my birthday, will never go back. Looks like the Sports Bar nextdoor looks a lot more fun & busy. Ownership should reevaluate their staff & culture of a nice restaurant. 5 Star all the way in Tampa Bay! Cool location with great views. Food was on point & server was friendly/fast. Lobster Mac was fabulous.

The location really sells this place - right on the water, beautiful views, outdoor seating. An OG Tampa restaurant. Really used to be a favorite spot when I first moved to Tampa. However, the last few times I’ve been here the quality seems to be struggling. The food was hit or miss, the service was friendly but seemed disorganized and green, and the atmosphere was standard. The sea bass itself was good, but the vegetables were bad, lacking flavor. The calamari was fine but the portion was small. The lobster Mac needed to be introduced to salt. Everything was fine, but not what you’d expect from an establishment like Jackson’s. The service was nice but not what you’d expect at somewhere like Jackson’s. Once we were done with our food it took 50 minutes for them to get our boxes and the check.

The food and service were amazing. The place was busy but the view was perfect of the river walk and has an amazing vibe. The food and drinks were amazing and will definitely be back to try more of the menu. The crab cake, the special snapper dinner and scampi were really done well. And the peanut butter torte was too die for!

I really like this restaurant. The food was spectacular, the New York strip delicious, juicy and tender, the snapper really good too, the sangrias? Good work from the bar!! The service 5 start plus: Michael you’re an excellent waiter. The view really nice. I recommended 100%

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at this five star, top of scale restaurant. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all quite impressive. Vito is a pleasant and knowledgeable server. On our next visit we will be asking for him. It is nice to find a restaurant where they understand what customer service is and treat people nicely. The food items were prepared fresh, cooked properly, and tasted as they're supposed to. This makes for a wonderful experience. If you have not been to Jackson's yet, I highly recommend getting your reservations set soon!

Visited the area recently and was invited here for brunch. Great selection and variety of food, however I felt as if they could’ve kept the stations a little more tidy, and I had to wait 10 minutes for them to bring out more plates. I love the made to order omelet and pasta stations. The food and mimosas were delicious, and I really enjoyed the waterfront view! It was definitely worth the price. $40 for the buffet and $4 mimosas. I’m moving to Harbour Island in a few weeks, and this will definitely be my Sunday brunch go to spot, especially when entertaining friends who are visiting.

This restaurant came highly recommended. I will say the views were beautiful and the kitchen handled the lunch conference rush well. My pasta was missing the crab and breadcrumbs and the remake came with over cooked crab sat on the side of the bowl. I expected more from this restaurant. My sweet tea wasn’t sweet enough. My partners steak was ordered medium rare and it came medium well but eatable. The server was quite busy. And I guess that’s all I will say.

Very good restaurant! The cocktails are amazing, food is amazing too! Toilets are very clean. Staff is very friendly. The way they present their food is really nice. See my pictures. It is a restaurant next to the water which really makes the experience better. Came here for the second time and would definitely come here again.

I was a vendor for a wedding in the beautiful room overlooking the water. The space is gorgeous and the staff, specifically Nick was lovely to work with. He hustled and had his eye on the client and keeping them happy the entire night. Such a sweet location for an event. I personally felt that 90 guests was too many for the space to be comfortable, if you are planning if a bigger wedding this may not be the right venue for you. The other thing to consider. As a vendor, it is tricky to load jn and out of this room, there is one elevator for guests, the kitchen and vendors. You must leave plenty of time and plan ahead. The view is amazing and everyone had a wonderful time.

Went here on a trip. They had no customers inside, and no one came to greet us. The workers ignored us, and we left after 15 minutes. We ended up trying a different day, and the energy was much better. We had Dawn, and she is so sweet. The food was lovely too. The truffle fries are definitely some of the best I've had. Great experience the second time around, but I can't say with certainty that they have consistent good service here.

We first ordered the Seafood platter and Oysters were not even cold as it should be. Food did not have much flavor at all for an entree where you pay $33. Dessert was decent. Some of the napkins on our table were not washed and the server had to switch them when we asked. I would not go there again.

I love the ambience of this restaurant. We had a very nice dinner on the water looking at the sunset. We had a quick walk from our hotel, seated quickly and experienced good service. The food was flavorful and fresh and our server checked on us regularly. I would recommend this restaurant for location, good food, ambience and service. Try to go during the sunset and sit outside, you can't beat the views.

We came for a birthday, and I will admit that everyone is super friendly. We had a few hick ups on food orders . I would say Oysters were very small compared to other places I have been. The manager and staff were friendly. Brunch is absolutely delicious here. I definitely recommend brunch. If you like old fashion drinks, I recommend " widows Jane " and ask for Jeff to make .He makes the best drinks if you ask me. As for dessert, I'd recommend Crème brûlée absolutely delicious.

We have eaten here several times and it does not disappoint. Fantastic views of downtown and the harbor. It was Christmas time and the Christmas tree was . This restaurant is a close walk to convention center area. Service was great. My husband had the Chicken and Penne Pesto and I had the lobster Tempura Roll which we both enjoyed!

Lobster roll was chopped up lobster. Not expecting it to be chopped into little pieces. There was lettuce underneath the lobster. When i opened the sandwich to add the mayo some of the lettuce was brown and starting to rot. Needless to say I should have ordered something else. It was also very dry. I needed to ask for some kind of sauce to make it more palatable. The waiter gave me a spicy mayo which helped a bit. Shrimp and grits was delish. Lobster Mac and cheese was also delicious.

We dined here for our Anniversary and had great experience. The food was outstanding and at a fair price. They have great lattes too. Ella was our waitress and was so nice and professional. She went above and beyond to provide us with exceptional service. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend Jackson Bistro!

My first visit to Jackson's was a great one. The atmosphere was very nice. The food was delicious as well. My server's name I cannot remember but I feel really bad about it because he was very sweet to us. He did a wonderful job. The view was very nice as well. It's a great spot for a girl's night, a guy gathering or a date night. A little pricy but worth it. I will definitely be back. My friend and I both had the blackened fish with lump crab and tri colored carrots. The sauce was sooooo good, they just need to add a little more lol I also didn't know that they validated for parking so i ended up having to pay $15. I know next time. Thank you Jackson's for a great first visit!!

Excellent atmosphere and view. We had a beautiful evening to eat out on their outside patio and watch the action. Food was delicious, I ordered the steak sandwich and it was on the softest bread and steak melted in mouth, all food we ordered was so good. Our server very attentive and very clean bathrooms. Parking in underground garage which the restaurant validates so it's free.

Birthday dinner for my daughter who attend s USF. We chose Jackson's because we wanted to sit outside by the water. It's a gorgeous location especially as the sun is going down. My daughter chose a couple of sushi rolls & I went with the grouper with roasted carrots and lump crab meat. We also split a side of huge asparagus. Everything was delicious & I have leftovers for tomorrow. My daughter also got a slice of carrot cake, also delicious. Our waitress Jacquelyn was amazing. Very attentive and nice. She also brought my daughter a small birthday cupcake ( great chocolate on top with a huge blackberry and chocolate spelling out Happy Birthday on the plate) lit the candle & sang Happy Birthday. It was a great evening and we plan to go back again.

My husband and I have eaten at Jackson's many times. I didn't expect the taste of the food to change due to the menu change. My salmon and asparagus were burnt. My son had the lobster Mac and cheese, and he said it had absolutely no flavor. Bring back the old chefs and menu. I spend $200+ every time, and I don't want to ever eat burned asparagus and salmon ever again.

The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was gorgeous, however the entire experience was diminished from my perspective because of the strong bleach smell from their cleaning products. We were sat inside and I am certain the smell was not as noticeable outside. If I returned, I would be sure to request an outside table. I think the smell unsettled me enough that I struggled to enjoy the food and wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Great views and very friend server. But kitchen was struggling today. I got a French onion and a roll and it took over 30 to get this (both came at same time) soup was luke warm but had a good flavor so still finished it up. The roll did not get a lot of love but also edible. I’d probably skip lunch in the future but the dinner menu looked good so I’d give another shot. We all know that can’t always have a perfect experience every time!

This was my first time dining here. It has a nice atmosphere. My friend picked this place for her birthday dinner as she previously had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, she left her dinner disappointed. We were a party of 8 with a 7:30 reservation. Our server was extremely slow. Other parties of the same size or larger came in after us and left before us. I am not sure why he was so slow, but it dragged out the dinner when it shouldn't have. As for the food, I ordered chicken ceasar salad and coconut shrimp. I had to send the salad back because the chicken was mushy. The coconut shrimp was the best I ever had. They were crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I can't say I wouldn't recommend it because others in the party stated our experience was not normal. So if I'm ever back in the area, I may give them another try...BUT...wasn't impressed.

The view is wonderful and the staff is great. Some of food is delicious, like the Caesar salad, the mashed potatoes and the spinach. Other is mediocre like the crab cake that has corn as a filler. And the sushi rice is cold. The sushi fish was was fresh but there’s so much sauce you can’t taste it. All that said I went twice for the nice tables and views.

Sushi was sooooo good here!! The patio is under construction, but there's still a nice view from the window. My husband hand the steak and cousin has fish. Everything was delicious! Service was great too!

I ordered boneless wings, which I assumed by the number next to the wings I was getting eight. But I got 5 bite-size wings for $15 a child size fries $5.50 , suppose to be sweet tea for $5.50. It was a group of us a total of 7 we didn't

Staying in the area and decided to give this place a try. My husband had sushi and I got the seafood Alfredo. We both loved our meals. Super tasty and fresh on the sushi side. We shared a bottle of saki and had a few other drinks. All were very tasty. Would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. We walked to it but there seems to be a parking garage under the restaurant so parking is probably not too bad.

Sunday Brunch Buffet! Wonderful destination with great views of the bay and surrounding boating activities. The restaurant, when we visited on Sunday, was offering a buffet. The quality of the food was good and the variety offered choices for everyone. Seating outside was a bonus. Service was friendly and professional

Beautiful scenery, delicious food, and great service. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there and took my husband there for Father's Day. If you want to eat good food with a waterfront view-- Jackson's Bistro is the place.

The restaurant overlooks the water, had great seating and well established dishes. Coming in as a single person, I was not a high priority, but still received good service. The food was between bistro and fine dining. I would like to see a larger sushi offering if sushi is in the title. The plating was nice and neat. There was simply 6 special rolls and the rest were run of the mill.

1st time here as we celebrated Valentine’s Day! Our server Morgan was excellent, very informative with a great personality. We started with a California roll which was really good. We over ordered but we’ve never been so we wanted to try a little of everything! I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich. It was not spicy at all, very tasty and loved the flavors of the fish! I got the side salad with balsamic and I loved the goat cheese! My husband ordered the roasted chicken, it was cooked perfectly. He also wanted to try the lobster roll so we ordered that also 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was beyond full but he said we needed cake for dessert because it was Valentine’s Day so we ordered the chocolate cake with the homemade whipped cream. Upon receiving the bill, we both agreed it was reasonably priced and thought it would have been so much more than it was. The view was beautiful; all the lights overlooking the water, the nice boats and people walking around. Definitely a must see during the day.

I give it to the chefs and the staff. Food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! I had a tummy full at the buffet. Definitely my new brunch spot! Beautiful water front scenery too. Everything I expected and more! I rate this place A+++ Parking was very hard to achieve at the parking garage but it was worth it all.

The ambiance is nice! The food was absolutely delicious! The hostess and our waiter were super nice. We didn’t have any drinks. Not able to comment on the drinks. I would definitely put this as one of my top restaurants. I’ll be back next time I visit Tampa!

First time at jackson's. We opted for outdoor seating. The view of the water is lovely at night; the heated lamps are a plus for a chilly night. The drinks were great. The appetizers were great as well. However, the main courses weren't all that great to us.

It was a great experience, Make sure to make a reservation first. Food is great, service and the ambience is awesome, a great place with a great view to have a good time right in the middle of the city. The prices are average to high because of the restaurant location. A Good experience overall. Fully recommended 👍🏼

The food was delicious and the service was great. Crab cake, sushi, oysters were perfect. The salmon was so good. Everything was truly exceptional. Could have had more Lobster in the Lobster Mac but the flavor was really good.

Kathleen was our server this evening and the best word to use is phenomenal to say the least. Right from the beginning she was down to earth and put a smile on our face the entire 3 hours of our date night. Her descriptiveness of the menu with only having 3 years of experience at this restaurant was amazing and made it easy to fall in love with a dish. As a sever, to see her handle the room and manage multiple parties at once along with our table made her time even more appreciated. She went out of her way to help us with wine and find an off menu cocktail and food items. All in all this was an exceptional experience. Give servers a raise and give this women the praise she deserves. Absolutely recommend this restaurant and make sure to request Kathleen as your server!!!❤️❤️ Thank you again Kathleen for this wonderful evening
