Lovely boutique hotel complemented by excellent staff and service as well as a fantastic restaurant and bar. While not overly luxurious, the modern styled room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. Our room overlooking the pool was quiet. The location was perfect for exploring Ybor and the surrounding areas. The MVP here is the staff. From valet and front desk to waitstaff and housekeeping, the Hotel Haya employees were consistently professional, helpful and personable.

This is a great option and a good location. The parking situation, you either valet for $35, park at the public parking across the street for $22/night, or park in a parking garage. You can tell this place has been renovated but I feel like with some of the renovations you can tell corners were cut. The shower has no door and the glass doesn't go far enough over, so water splashes out which makes it slippery when you get out, even with the floor towel. We brought our own drinks and couldn't put them in the fridge because it was jam packed with other drinks. There is also no microwave. The balcony is small, but nice. We were on the side where there were no chairs, while not a big deal, it would have been nice. There's a Cafe which is good, and also a restaurant, that we didn't try. You can tell they do a great job with the general upkeep. For the price, this is a great option in the area.

We recently stayed for two nights while in Tampa. The hotel staff is wonderful!!! The hotel is exceptional!!!! The beds are pillow soft and the room is immaculate. The coffee shop staff and menu offerings will not disappoint. The pool is resort quality. The restaurant is four star! Once in, you'll find it hard to exit the beautiful marble lined showers. The water pressure soothes aching muscles. All this for reasonable prices. I can't wait to return. Thanks to all the hard working staff!!!!!!

OUTSTANDING stay for a weekend with friends in the Ybor City area. Very clean hotel with great common areas and pool. Excellent coffee shop. Entire staff from check-in to check-out without exception were outstanding. Had some issues with friends arriving late due to weather and Hotel did everything in their power to assist. Especial appreciation to Manager Sophia and Front desk administrator Logan. They are definitely there to help you get settled in and with any issues that might arise. Definitely recommended for anyone staying in this area.

Very chic, trendy and well appointed hotel. We have stayed here many times because it’s a great location and the hotel bar is amazing. The huge disappointment here is the valet charge at $35 per car for overnight parking. Other hotels and lots in the area/Tampa are half that price! Getting a great deal on the room rate is dashed by paying another 43% for parking. You either need to include your valet in the rate and make competitive or charge for only 1 car. Will think twice about staying here again because of this.

Our whole company stayed here for a summit, and we had a fabulous experience. The hotel in itself is beautiful, but the real standout was the bar. Hayley and her team took such great care of us, we can't wait to be back.

We stayed here for one night. We booked a courtyard room as I had read that the other rooms had noise throughout the night. Even with the courtyard room you had a disrupted sleep from guests shouting in the corridor drunk at 3am. The room was really nice, clean and modern. The bathroom was excellent and we loved the design. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but we had drinks and the staff were really friendly. The reason I’ve marked it down a star is because when we arrived and went to the pool, there were lots of beds covered with towels. It had no assistant who went round removing towels from people who were no longer using them/had left. There were guests putting towels on the floor and lying on them because no one knew which beds were free. Guests had to ask other guests who were on beds if they knew if the beds next to them were available or not. There were also lots of used plastic cups not collected. At one point the fresh towels had not been restocked for a period of time. We stayed at the pool for a couple of hours and only at the very end someone finally came around and removed some used towels. It may seem something so basic and small but it was frustrating that a four star hotel didn’t have someone monitoring this. You are close to all the bars and restaurants so I think the location is excellent if you are planning on going to these.

We are extremely disappointed with this place that is in the middle of the hood. We made reservations to stay here over the weekend and leave on Sunday morning. So we were only going to be here for two nights. Needless to say when we made a reservation she never mentioned that we had to pay $35 a night for valet parking, nor did they mention that they needed $200 for it incidentals. The most I’ve ever been charge for incidentals in any hotel that was reputable was $50 for the stay. The room is mediocre and not impressive. The manager at the front desk was not helpful and she made me more upset. I also can’t forget to mention that our stay here for this weekend was for my fiancé’s birthday and now we are both upset and this is ruining her birthday. Management here has no heart or consideration for anyone. Had we known that we would be getting stuck with all these additional fees with no other obligations we would’ve stayed elsewhere. We will never return back to this place ever again, and I will recommend to all of my friends and family to never stay here as well. Your people should be ashamed of yourselves!

My husband and I stayed in Ybor for the night to grab dinner and just get out of town. The valet was very kind and helpful. The bus boy was extremely helpful not to mention this hotel was probably the most pet friendly I’d ever stayed at. They even offer a “pet package” the bring your dogs beds and water bowls! The pool was fun and laid back with a bar! Stay here at Hotel Haya!!!

My husband and I had an great experience at Hotel Haya I only wish we could’ve stayed longer. From the moment we pulled up the valet and front desk staff were welcoming friendly and helpful. Everything was extremely smooth from check in to check out. The whole space was so beautiful and our room matched the lobby vibes and was super comfortable with a great balcony. The pool area looked great too but we didn’t stay long enough to use it. A great perk is having the restaurant and coffee shop so easily accessible in the building. We had delicious craft cocktails and shecrab soup for dinner and in the morning we had to take off early and we’re very happy to find the coffee shop was open and had such a good selection of quick breakfast items and top notch coffee. I’ll be recommending Hotel Haya to anyone visiting Tampa in the future!

Absolute gem. My wife and I stayed here during our Tampa visit. Slightly deceiving from outside, but let me tell you a total oasis inside. Great atmosphere, pool and bar. Staff was probably the best I’ve ever seen. Everything in there is super clean. The rooms are fully updated. We had a balcony room and it was amazing to sit and watch the sun go down over the city. Also, coffee at their cafe is perfect. As loud as Ybor gets on the weekend the room is very sealed from noise once the balcony door is shut. We ate at the Columbia restaurant down the road and best Cuban food ever. A wonderful and memorable weekend.

The hotel is so cute and so nice. The front desk staff is so nice and great!! The coffee shop and restaurant are awesome. Clean! The valet company is trash. I recieved damage to my vehicle and realized 2 hours later called and never heard back I called twice more and finally heard back from the valet manager and he said he would put in my claim. I was immediately disregarded after 19 days of no contact. They said they asked the valets and said it didn’t happen here. That’s the only basis of proof. “We asked some people and they didn’t know”. Meanwhile they can’t even answer the question “ is the lot secured and private?” After 30 days still have not revived an email from the valet company. This reflects nothing on the hotel but they have hired a terrible valet company! The hotel is cute and wonderful for real! Would stay again and not park there!

Definitely my favorite hotel in Tampa. Sitting at the edge of Ybor, there is always a diverse and lively energetic vibe filling the air. The drinks and food (try the meatballs) are excellent and the staff have been great. Love their selection of cigars and the frequent pool party themes. As we were hosting an event at the hotel, I want to send a big "Thank You" to Jennifer for helping us get our block of rooms handled for our traveling guests. Great location to host an event or to bring your special partner!

I've stayed here twice and loved both times. The service was slower in dining area but bar was fast. The pool is clean , rooms are nice especially the balcony rooms you can open the door and get the city right there with you. They have awesome smelling shampoo and conditioner. Valet on site. Restaurant has good brunch and a create your own mimosa option..... bartenders mike and Becky are awesome ! Also stayed an extra night after a Sunday pool party they featured.

Really enjoy our weekend stay. They offer Valet parking for $20 and $35 overnight. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with a great view of Ybor! Super cute patio!!! The bathroom was incredible with a wild shower. My only flaw with the place was the unfinished ceilings. I get leaving the nails and such exposed but why have 3 exposed nonfunctional cuts that were patched up? Just took away from the rest.

Has potential to be great. Location is perfect, the hotel restaurant is amazing. Staff is very courteous. But with all that said, I don’t understand why the rooms don’t have a microwave or fridge besides the mini bar. There’s no ice machine on any of the floors, so you have to keep going to lobby for that. You’re forced to do the $35 a night valet due to the hectic public parking near the hotel. They never mentioned the $100 incidental fee. Yes…I said $100 per night. Like I said, has potential to be great but they must address those concerns

My partner and I came to stay for one night and I can honestly say The Haya is officially one of my favorite hotels to visit in Tampa. The hotel is decorated beautifully and it is very clean with friendly staff. The hotel is perfect for adults/couples. I didn’t hear any screaming kids which was perfect. We went to Flor Fina the restaurant inside the hotel and it has this beautiful ceiling art piece in addition to the lightning and delicious food. The restaurant has a smaller menu but trust me what they serve is made with care and lots of flavor. Transportation is easy to find because there was the trolley train station near by and it’s free to ride. The hotel is a must visit

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. In fact, I warned my son and husband that it would be loud especially because we were there over New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t believe how quiet our room was and how much we liked the room. The mattress, pillows, towels were all very nice. We didn’t use the valet as it seemed really expensive, so we parked our car in the garage across from the surface lot. The garage charges $12 per day. We got drinks at the bar and were a little surprised to see a “credit card recovery fee”. The drinks at the bar are pricey enough, why are they acting like a small town gas station and charging a credit card fee. That is the price of doing business. Also, the bartenders didn’t seem very happy. Maybe everyone yelled at them about the fee. It was only $1.39. Doesn’t seem worth the bad will. We will definitely stay here again. I liked Ybor a lot as it has a nice small town feel. Tampa was also great but I am glad we didn’t stay downtown. I loved this location.

My husband and I have stayed here for our wedding and anniversary. However, as locals, we come here a decent bit for the bar. We love coming here for a drink or two. The bartender Natalie is one of our favorite people there. She is so knowledgeable and is always willing to answer our questions about different drinks. She is a big reason we love to go there because she just has great customer service. The other bartenders are polite and wonderful to be served by, as well. We have never had a bad experience there!

Great location, kind staff. Our experience was wonderful. The location was perfect with great restaurants, and entertainment options. The only one thing I would recommend is if you don't like the night life, do not get a room facing the streets where all the action happens. The pool was clean, beds so comfy! Will return one day.

Our company, Back Bar Project, stayed at Hotel Haya for 4 nights during our sales and marketing summit. To put it simply, their entire team was remarkable and our experience there was easily the best since we starting holding these summits. Hotel Haya's staff is beyond attentive, the food and drinks are all top notch and the rooms are phenomenal. Each hotel room is spacious, well appointed and the comfortable beds made for a restful work trip. While we try to hold these events in different cities each time, it will be hard to go elsewhere and expect to have an equally amazing experience. Thank you!

We hosted our daughters baptism brunch at Hotel Haya and we are so glad we did! The brunch took place in the Valencia Ballroom's pre-function space and it was the perfect setting for the type of event we wanted to have. The space is so beautiful and all of the staff and team were amazing (especially Logan & Carlos). Everyone kept talking about how lovely and beautiful the whole party was. We are so glad we went with the decision to host our event here and we would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for an event venue!

Nowhere near worth the money a night. Super loud at night and I mean like 2 AM. Management was whatever. Rooms were lousy, they really cheaped out on them, my terrace door didn’t lock, sink was clogged, shower was missing a whole door, a lot of issues. Valet was good. Just stay in downtown, we wish we would’ve.

Great location! Hotel looks pretty new so the rooms and entire place looks modern and clean. Staff was pretty nice. The cafe was a bit overpriced but it’s convenient and food was good. Only blocks away from plenty of restaurants and bars, the streetcar passes by. The thing i was worried about from other reviews was leaving my car at the valet, but i went ahead and did so and had no problem at all. Dropped it off, stayed 2 nights and picked it up when checking out. Valet was friendly, no problem to my car at all. Stayed during weekdays. No microwave, coffee maker nor space in mini fridge.

The perfect location to stay if you want to visit Tampa or Ybor. Only about 1.5 blocks to the closest street car stop to get to downtown Tampa. Great service. They held our bags for us so we could explore before our room was ready. The bar was nice, good and friendly staff and the food was good as well. The rooms were spacious and clean. I have no complaints at all and will definitely be staying there for our next trip.

An artistic historic gem in Tampa’s beautifully restored historic district. Designed & renovated by renowned Alfonso Architects, La Haya is a contemporary Cuban and Italian renaissance of fine design. Service is friendly & impeccable; salsa class & social irresistible. This is a 5 star hotel at 3 star prices.

Stunning hotel. The room and view of the city was beautiful. Everyone working there was very kind. Excellent location for walking Ybor City (especially for attending a show at The Ritz).

I stay at this hotel multiple times a year when visiting Florida. I normally have a great time at this hotel. However, this experience was a little lackluster. The bed and pillows are horrible. They need a complete overhaul of the beds and pillows. I would have to reconsider staying here because of the bed and pillows. Additionally, the sink in my bathroom didn’t work and I requested it be fixed and it wasn’t.

My husband and I are here for a staycation from Clearwater and I will tell you, it is absolutely one of the best hotels.. it reminds me a bit of NYC. The vibe is great. But most importantly, the service is amazing. Haley, the F&B Manager, has to be the best person we've met. Such a great attitude and so accommodating. We think we found our Tampa hidden gem. Keep up the great work. Haley ROCKS! And Michael at the bar is amazing as well. A true craft drink maker.

Warning: check your credit cards after staying here. Had several mystery charges had to call and get removed. Staff was obviously inexperienced. During our stay, the whole placed was staffed by teens. Kind of odd for a "four star hotel". The only good thing about the place is the location and cleanliness. However, missing basic amenities like: ice machine, microwave, and fridge. Yes, there is a mini bar you can try to cram your stuff into but seriously, will seek other lodging next time. Luxurious looking on outside but has no real class as an establishment.

Had a pleasant surprise there. Stayed 2 nights with my son and liked very much. Great location, very courteous staff, amazing food. Not the place to sleep at night, I may add. The street has an hyper active nightlife and makes the place super noisy and unbearable to rest. Both weekend nights we couldn't sleep. Police was called (not by me) and all the shenanigans went on until 4am on both nights, which leads me to believe it was not a party, it was regular schedule.

  • 1/5 Dani G. 4 months ago on Google
All responses from management are generic, so just believe everything in the bad reviews you read. Drove here from two hours away so I could get a good night’s sleep before spending the day in Tampa. It’s 6:00am and I just woke up with a sore back after tossing and turning all night. The mattress is so uncomfortable and cheap I’d have been better off sleeping in my car. I don’t know how I’m going to make it today when all I want to do is go home and get into my bed. I have my two people with me. They only gave me two towels. I guess we will share. In between the two towels was a crumbled up receipt for cigars. That was strange. The shower is missing a door so you soak the floor when you shower. Also, mold in the shower. The parking is a rip off. There is a parking garage attached they use for valet. $35. There are two public parking lots on two sides of the building that are $15 overnight, but I didn’t feel Safe parking in them at night because this is definitely not a good area. This is a watch your back kind of place. The place is cool and I’m sure I would enjoy it a lot more if my husband were with me and I were coming for the night to explore 7th, but this is not like a cozy, clean, unpack and stay awhile place. If you want that, go to the Hilton downtown. As soon as my people wake up, I’m out of here. Surprise! Also, $100 for incidentals. That’s so stupid. I guess they are hoping drunk people eat and drink everything in the mini bar. I’d better get my money back.

It's stylish and trendy. Trendy means no real bathroom door. What's trending more than hearing your traveling partners bowel movements before and after a night out? The bed springs are... They announce themselves. The window goes alllll the way to the wall. The black out curtain doesn't seem to- a crack of bright light at 8am- chefs kiss following a night out of drinking. And finally, and I mean this, it. Is. Freezing. I don't understand it. I've never encountered it before. No one told me I'd need my jacket inside.

Wow. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are so clean and modern. The bar and restaurant were so great! The service was superb! Amazing location! Also, fun to wake up and see all the chickens roaming the street. I will be staying here when I come back to visit Tampa.

The Haya is a nice comfortable hotel with a very pleasant, friendly staff. Because of some reviews, I searched for a safer place for my car and was frankly unsuccessful. I used the valet service at about $10 more than what I had found and the car was parked safely in a garage adjacent to the hotel. The valet gents were all friendly and accommodating. Our room was very nice overlooking the pool and was quiet. The bed was a bit too hard for us and the ac seemed to have trouble cooling too 68. The real issue came in the morning. I am an early riser, 0500, and like my coffee in a comfortable chair with no hassle. Not so much at the Haya. Coffee makers and microwaves are not in the room so plan on a trek to the lobby for your morning cup or two. Ding #1. On arrival in the lobby I was told coffee wasn’t supposed too be ready until 5:30, the flyer says 5. Ding #2. I almost bought my own coffee maker, which I often do. Foolish me. I did find a comfortable chair and finally settled into my normal morning routine. When my wife awoke I balanced three cups of coffee and brought them to the fourth floor. The coffee cooled, it would have been nice to have a microwave. Ding #3. We spent some time lounging about at the pool which was really very nice. So why four stars? We did enjoy our stay and I don’t like to let little aggravations cloud a review, life happens. The Haya is a very nice hotel located in a wonderful section of Tampa. The neighbor hood is fun and diverse and the restaurants are really very, very good. When we travel I feel that not all hotels can or will meet all our needs. Flexibility is key to having fun when you travel.

Adorable from the moment you drive up. I had to find a hotel in Calabasas for work and since I travel 70% of the time I am quite picky about where I stay. I look for clean, safe, location and stylish- this hotel hit all of the marks. They are friendly and welcoming at the front deck, if you pass by the staff in the hallways they are polite and friendly. The rooms are adorable with that beach chic feeling. I stayed in a standard room and was very surprised when I walked in how big it was. Didn’t use the pool, however you pass by it on your way to the elevators and it’s very charming situation against the mountain, as is the whole backside of the hotel. Check in and check out process with very easy. Fast food options, grocery stores and gas stations are all within minutes as well as freeway access. Couldn’t have picked a better hotel.

Had previously rated this hotel five stars. Unfortunately it has gone downhill a lot in the past year. Small complaints: no ice machine, no ATM, common areas on the hotel floors are not kept very clean, not enough baggage carts, no Spanish speaking staff Big complaints: valet lost my keys on Feb 12 and the front desk refused to offer any assistance. The blonde woman was very dismissive and basically told me I was SOL with the hotel because the valet is a separate company. The bar is still very nice and the hotels location is ideal for Knight parade. Even though I’ve stayed here many times over the past few years I will probably stay downtown in a big brand hotel next time.

This was a most perfect stay!! The hotel was clean, beautiful, great location, the staff was amazing! The room was beautiful, trendy, and still comfortable. Yes, parking was $35 per day but, it’s Ybor city and that is parking. Our car was safely parked and quickly retrieved by the valet staff. I traveled with my family for a short holiday weekend stay and I will most definitely stay here again.

The staff goes above and beyond to make the stay a great experience. This is a boutique hotel, and the Haya has all the right boutique touches, including a luxurious but comfortable feel from decor to towels. We will be back!

  • 5/5 Nick D. 10 months ago on Google
This is a great hotel all around. The price you pay for the product you receive is remarkable. We will be returning for sure. We did not have a single complaint the whole weekend. I read the hotels 1-star comments and found a common theme. The patrons did not do their research before booking at this hotel. They were clearly looking for a different type of area/hotel. The complaints they wrote about were completely on them. Don't write a negative review about a business when you (the patron) clearly didn't do any prior research before booking.

Hotel was ok, overpriced for the condition of the room and facilities, Update(replying to the Hotel reply) Thanks for your response, but I do not believe I will be returning. You have a good location and great service, but the hotel needs to put some $$$$ back into the rooms if I am going to return. Also I took away a star since your response was so disconnected.

I have stayed in Tampa more times than any other city. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! By far my favorite. The rooms were clean, tidy and filled with all types of snacks and cold drinks. Plenty of usb plugs to charge all if your electronics. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. There is a nice restaurant and cafe downstairs or you can DoorDash/Instacart pretty much anything you need. 5⭐️’s!!!

Had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here last fall and I was amazed at how many photo opportunities were inside the Hotel Haya! It has the full flavor of Ybor but still extremely classy atmosphere. I truly enjoyed working with everyone here. Highly recommend this for your wedding day.

I want to caveat this by saying the hotel staff has been helpful and great. But do NOT stay here if you are expecting to sleep. It is 2:48AM and the music and noise outside is insanely loud. There are horns blowing, car alarms going off, and cars driving by with crazy loud music, and the nearby club is so loud, this is to a level that I could have never anticipated. I am so disappointed in this place that I would never recommend. If I could leave at this moment, I would.

I came for a solo weekend trip, I will say the pros outweigh the cons, but it is worth discussing both. Pros: The hotel is beautifully decorated and modern, the pool parties are incredibly fun, the hotel bar and restaurants are very nice and the overall proximity to restaurants and bars in Ybor make it a nice pick. Cons: The hotel's proximity to the bars makes it an incredibly loud area to stay in, do not expect to have a quiet night and sleep until after all of the bars close in Ybor. Additionally, the valet parking is a bit messy and expensive, making it difficult to access your vehicle after it has been handed off. Lastly, the prices for food and beverage are absurdly high, expect to pay a hefty premium to eat or drink anything inside.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Took the boyfriend here for a night for his birthday. Valet parking was a little bit of a mess at the time of drop off/pickup. The front desk was nice and quick. Decent room rates. The room was clean and up to standard.

We found those hidden gem on the way to Tampa for a birthday weekend. Location is awesome as it is on the same street as numerous bars and clubs as well as restaurants. The rooms/property are new and updated as well as very clean. The front desk and valet associates were awesome for entire stay. The only disappointment was the food in the restaurant did not meet quality expectations for a hotel restaurant however, the drinks were delicious. I would recommend the stay just not the restaurant.

Beautiful property in the heart of Ybor city in tampa. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, very nice and always willing to assist with all of your needs. I stayed here a few weeks back for an event over the weekend. Upon arrival we noticed there was a bigger event happening that weekend with a fraternity and we definitely experience the loudness of their music, partying and late night partying in the halls, outside our window via the balcony and also outside the window via the indoor patio, it would have been nice to have a do not disturb sign in my room to hang outside my door in hopes people walkikg in the halls late at night would see it and quiet down, but there wasnt one in my room. Also the hotel is located literally across the street and down the street some of the bussiest bars/nightclubs and nobody got any sleep. My room was on the very top floor (4th) and with my patio closed and drapes closed, tv on ...I could hear all the music, traffic, and people being drunk and loud all night up past 3 am. If you are looking for a relaxed, quiet and serene hotel this is not the place for you. But if you wanna come hang out and party your heart content over the weekend this is definitely in the perfect location for that. Our event was catered and we had most our meals in the hotel, food was great. Beds were super comfortable along with the pillows. My room was separated by a wall between the desk and the bed, it was very posh and stylish. The bathroom was super nice and grand, the toiletries smelled amazing. Only thing i will dock points off is the creepy photo of a man on the inside of the bathroom door, it was very uncomfortable and weird having some random man staring at me while going to the bathroom or using the shower, my suggestion is to put him somewhere else. I absolutely loved the full size mirror, great for selfies. The view of the scenery from my balcony was amazing, got to catch a few sunsets. Some of the couches near our event space were great to lounge on during our breaks. The rooms do have a mini bar both on the desk and inside the mini fridge if you want to endulge, pricey if u ask me. I ended up getting snacks and drinks from a local store instead. Hotel has a nice bar in the lobby, very spacious and lots of places to hang out and talk with people. Uber anf lyft are readily available nearby if u need one. And while you are walking the streets during daytime u may run into some roosters wandering the area, they won't bother you at all, just keep in mind if u mess w them u will get a 5k fine, as they are protected in this area. There's a 7/11 down the street from hotel if u need last minute snacks, drinks, etc.

Haya is our go to when in Ybor. We love the fact it's pet friendly as well. We have stayed here 3 times now and always get a room with a balcony. The rooms are spacious, modern decor and clean. Staff is great. Will be back!

Attended an art show last night in the newly opened ballroom space. Excellent hotel, great vibe, and amazing service! The property looks beautiful but the service team is above and beyond. Enjoyed drinks at their bar in Flor Fina before the show. Great experience all around! And the GM is stunningly handsome.
