For those visiting Tampa and for those who live here like I do, if you're looking for something relaxing to do at a great price, this is a fantastic option. The staff is very friendly and the boats are nice. The river route is especially relaxing; you get to see the buildings and the riverwalk from a new perspective. I would totally do it again!

We got all day passes from the aquarium all the way to ricks. It was a great experience and the staff was helpful and informative. The only Reason we are giving a 4-star is the hour wait between pick ups. When your going to eat it’s hard to time the service and how long an adventure might take, so when you finish early or just miss it your stuck for an hour until The next one. It also creates uncomfortable crowding on the boat because everyone is rushing to not miss the boat, on the way back it was so crowded there was nowhere to sit so we just got off tried to wait for the next one and just barely missed it trying to run to the restroom we ended up paying for a Lyft to get back to the hotel

We had a group outing on the Pirate Water Taxi in Tampa. Enjoyed a relaxed evening cruise with food and drinks onboard. Ideal for work groups and newcomers to Tampa. Not a party cruise, but perfect for a pleasant time together.

We had such an amazing time for our team event this week thanks to the patience and coordination of Derek @Pirate Water taxi! We reserved a private charter for ~26 of us and it was just the right size for us to mingle and spread out a bit. We opted for the drink package (definitely worth it) and some snacks. We had a few “particular” drinkers and he was even able to help us out to accommodate their requests. I can’t speak highly enough of the experience and will certainly come back for another event in the future! I’ve also ridden as a day pass guest in the past with the stops at various places on the river and I think it’s a great concept for locals and tourists.

Wonderful captain and crew. Very friendly passengers. Great narration of the local spots of interest. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is between had to abort early due to the stormy weather.

Such a fun experience doing this water taxi! It’s a bit expensive but worth it if you ride it for an extended period of time. They have drinks you can buy on the boat, alcoholic seltzers and beers. Super cute to try once. It’s a great experience for the whole family, kids would love doing this. The views are great, the crew is kind and helpful. It has a few stops around downtown tampa! I would prefer this over driving or ubering any day. It’s a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it for tampa natives or anyone visiting the area!

I love the employees on this boat. They are very friendly, helpful, and they told us when the last boat of the day would be coming by our location again. Buy a day pass and enjoy the businesses along the water.

Fun ride with narration of the sights. Pirate Taxi goes up the river a few miles, the Connector Taxi stops at a few downtown locations. $25 all day for both taxis. Get on and off where you want. A bit pricey.

This is a great experience & lots of fun. Pirate water taxi helps get you around the riverwalk for a very cheap price. It’s great when you are with children & elderly that may get tired from walking miles on the beautiful riverwalk, so that they may take a break and grab a pirate water taxi back to the beginning of the riverwalk where you started your walk. Amazing Taxi Company

We chartered the water taxi for an afternoon activity with our organization and it was such a fun, relaxing time! From making my reservation to our onboard experience, the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They even let my granddaughter “drive” the boat and were very kind and patient with her. This is definitely a must do if you’re in Tampa!

A fun ride for adults and families. Hope on and off all day, eat on the waterfront, about 19 stops, two different routes. Very courteous staff. Whether you live in Tampa area or just visiting, this is a must. If you have a bike( or rent one) the riverwalk is fantastic also. Lots of public parking within three blocks.

Excellent festival lights cruise! The crew were interactive and Kicksie was the best. Cruise was on time and lasted longer than we expected. Nothing bad to say about tonight’s cruise. Thanks everyone!

My family, including 3 kids and 5 adults had a great experience aboard your taxi. The kids loved being slid all the extra cookies from other passengers and singing Christmas carols. 🎄 also thank you for letting them write 🎅, the whole crew was fantastic and we highly recommend this for any age!!

Martin, Jen, Mike, and Austin were so friendly and informative! I learned a great deal about all the historical features, attractions, and famous visitors up and down the shoreline. We were lucky enough to catch them on the way back south too, such a warm and friendly crew. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we'll absolutely be coming back. Thank you!

The water taxi experience was fantastic – purchasing tickets online streamlined the process, and a convenient bracelet allowed unlimited rides to two designated areas until closing. The stunning views, whether in the afternoon or evening, added an extra layer of enjoyment. However, it's important to mention that no food is served during the ride. On a positive note, at one of the destinations, they do offer drinks, but they are not complimentary; you need to purchase them separately.

The water taxi is such a fun way to get around Tampa to see all the fabulous places it has to offer. From Channelside/ Sparkman Wharf to Curtis Hixon Park/ Museum, Uleles Restaurant and Armature, down to Rick's on the river, it's great. FUN !Lotofun.fun.Lotsjokeshistory with

My family and I really enjoyed our time on the Pirate Water Taxi; we had no idea it had a large Air Conditioned cabin but we absolutely loved it! We rode the Taxi right when it opened and couldn't be happier with how quickly it moved and how easy it all was! Definitely recommend anyone seeing Tampa for the first time or even longtime locals to check it out because you see the downtown Tampa district from a completely different perspective. We ended up going all the way to the end of the route and eating at Rick's on the River then taking the Taxi all the way back to the Convention Center. The captain and "cabin boys" couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating and my family would love to check this out again in the future. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon or evening on downtown Tampa!

Went for the fireworks display. Never saw them. Very limited visibility. Half the boat is completely enclosed with no air conditioning so most people were crowded in the open air portion. On a positive note, Jeff the bartender was great! I will stay ashore next year.

LOVE this experience. Me and my family went during Father’s Day weekend. The customer service was great and the boat was clean. We did a lot of sight seeing and got off the boat to enjoy a nice meal. Once we returned from lunch we waiting about 20mins at the stop and then the shuttle took us back to the boat and made our way back to our stop. Definitely worth the money. $15 for kids $25 per adult under the age of 2 is free

Lots of fun. We got the all day tickets so we could hop on and off. We took the river trip then went back to the Armature Works for lunch. We then jumped on the other taxi for a trip the other way. It started lighting so they docked the taxi right where we parked. They do not run while there is lighting within three miles.

Good ride and safe. Knowledgeable staff. Do not expect perfect timing as the tides affect when you can board. I purchased all day off and on and could only use one way one time due to tides. Not a good value for the money.. This is not advertised as a potential issue and I think it should be in print.

My husband and I are SO disappointed with the Pirate Water Taxi experience! We had one day in Tampa and decided that the best way to see the city would be by water taxi. I purchased two “hop on hop off” adult tickets online the previous night and we walked to stop 12 as it was closest to our hotel. The schedule showed that we would be picked up at 11:38 am so we were there by 11 am. When no water taxi had appeared by noon, we called to see where it was, and left a message. I also used the tracker feature, which showed that it had arrived at stop 7 and was loading. By the time we saw a Pirate Water Taxi coming by, the staff shouted to us that it was full and they would come back to pick us up. By then, we were done with waiting. We went to stop 7, where I spoke to a manager and received a refund. I would rather have had a good experience! The website needs to communicate that it’s a “first come, first serve” policy…we would have been at stop 7 early! Please improve your communication so that others don’t have the same problem that we did.

It’s a nice way to travel up the river, but they are never on time per their taxi schedule. One time they simply said “we are done for the night” and left us stranded. I’ve waited far past the posted schedule times to no avail. Have had to Uber instead. Sometimes they completely skip over a posted stop and you’ll wait an hour until the next one.

Star and Steve are a terrible representation for your company. The attitude Star gave us when we arrived at the dock was absolutely uncalled for. I tried to explain to Star we had 2 more passengers walking up (my elderly parents). Her exact words to me was they need to hurry up. Really, I paid for 13 passengers to ride your shuttle today over 300 hundred dollars was spent, to be treated like garbage. This treatment we received was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. I can promise one thing, I won't spend a dollar the rest of the time I am in Tampa with your company.

It was an easy way to get through the city but we didn't get any facts about the Tampa itself. We hop on and off all afternoon and had drinks at stops 2, 7, 12 and 14. Overall made for a fun afternoon

The River of Lights boat tour was very festive and interactive for all on board. We were provided with instruments for some of the carols and there was even a special effect for one song, but I won't ruin it by telling. This is definitely a family "must-do" activity if you're in the area during the holidays.
