This is by far one of the best arenas in the nation to go see a Tampa Bay Lightning game, a concert or other event. It's conveniently located downtown by the water which has walking access to many local bars and plenty places to park. The entrance area has lots of space to grab a drink ahead of time or to sit and watch the game on the huge screen with your kids or dogs. I definitely recommend getting tickets that give you access to the Ashley VIP Lounge if you want a celebrity like experience. The food is amazing as well as the service and can't beat no lines to go use the bathroom!

Amalie Arena, located in Tampa Bay, Florida, is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue. Home to the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, this arena boasts a seating capacity of over 20,000 and hosts a variety of events including concerts, family shows, and other sporting events. The arena opened in 1996 and has since undergone several renovations to keep up with modern technology and amenities. It features a unique design with a sail-like roof and stunning views of the downtown Tampa skyline. Amalie Arena is not only a popular destination for sports fans, but also a top spot for entertainment in the Tampa Bay area.

This is a great arena!! We sat pretty high up, but it didn’t take anything away from the energy or the experience of the night. The Bolts are a great team to watch and, I have to say, the fans are just as passionate as the players themselves which always makes for a fun time. Most importantly on this particular night, the Red Wings earned the “W”, so that was a nice by-product of going to watch the game. I highly recommend going to watch a game here, it will no doubt be a memorable experience!

Was lucky to get tickets for a Tampa Lightning game! Beautiful venue, organized, and the set up outside for leisure, shopping, eating and drinking is well laid out. Pre-game tailgate of sorts. Well done. Seats are super tight. Only complaint. It gets cold. Dress accordingly.

Came here last night for the 2022 USA Gymnastics championship and had a great time! Amalie Arena is located in the Channelside area, and is located near entertainment and restaurants. The decor overall was a bit standard, but had a nice blue color to it. The staff inside the stadium was nice and friendly, and the stadium inside was a bit clean, although the restrooms could have improved. The food inside the stadium is costly, but is still high quality. The event itself was very good and had a great time. Overall, is a good stadium, but still needs some work to be a great stadium.

We were here for the Iron Maiden concert and it was absolutely awesome!!! The stage was so close and the screens were extremely high quality. The food here is decent for a stadium but don’t expect anything amazing. The venue was all indoors and was clean and comfortable. Definitely will return for future events here!

I was here for the 2022 Stanley Cup final and it was my first time to a bolts game. As a red wings fan they did a great job here. Amazing atmosphere! The arena is well maintained and the food, while over priced isn't as bad as some arenas. I would recommend checking out a bolts game the next time they are playing at home.

Outstanding venue area! I drive by it many times, and you can see it’s always a poppin area. I visited here for a hockey game (LETS GO LIGHTNING!) we ate at Fire Sticks, the food was outstanding. Fresh handmade ice cream, seafood, and more. Back to the arena, it was clean. All the floors and bathrooms. The stores were cool and decently priced. Many bands and artists come here to play.

The most exciting and electrifying atmosphere in professional sports. Being at the game is a totally different experience for the senses, watching it on 1 dimensional TV does it no justice, especially during the playoffs. When you're there, you're in the game. Everything is amped up, including the fans, the intensity, you literally feel the energy! The organization does an amazing job, the acoustics in the arena are second to none, the music pumps you up, they put on a show full of special effects, and it's supercharged! Go Bolts!

We went here to see a rock concert. The arena was very clean well laid out and in close proximity of other venues. Was very convenient for us to get there early. Find someplace to eat enjoy some other establishments before going into the arena to see the concert. All the staff there as well as the ushers we’re very accommodating and we’re able to move the large crowd very efficiently. I would rate this arena above most of the others that I have been to just due to the surrounding areas inconvenience factor.

Went here for Monster Jam, what a blast! Parking was very easy and they had plenty of it in the surrounding area. Walking in through security and ticket check in was fast and efficient. All the vendors were friendly and multiple monster jam merchandise shops. The show was LOUD! However it was a great show and would love to come back for another show or lightning game in the future!

Beautiful walking, stunning buildings, right near the water. There is a ferry, water taxis and a fun boat ride. There are stores, cafes and bars and eateries. Just a great walking path, fun for kids, dogs and adults. You can spend hours in a lovely atmosphere, be near the water and with shaded areas as well

So glad we experienced a game on vacation. What a place! Parking was a little tough trying to get in, but the way out was a breeze! Arena is pretty nice and food is reasonable price. Seats are comfortable! Great view in section 116 center Ice right behind the penalty box! Go Bolts!

Amalie Arena is a great place to see a concert. Even the higher up sections have a great view. The sound system offers quality sound. The staff is efficient in getting the large crowd into the building. Ushers are available throughout the arena to offer help and keep people safe. Restrooms were clean and maintained throughout the evening. I would love to come back here soon to see a hockey game!

My wife won tickets from her work to the New Years Eve game between the Lightning and NY Rangers. The Bolts lost but this was an amazing experience for my first hockey game. The food was also very good, and service was friendly and fast. A great experience, I hope to come again.

Amalie Arena is one of the easiest arenas to navigate. We’ve lived in many metropolitan areas and the parking and traffic at Amalie is by far the most controlled. We parked in green for a concert and it was a quick walk across the street to the arena. The Arena itself is clean, the seats are comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Signs directing you to each section were placed appropriately throughout the arena. The restrooms are marked with entrance and exit signage. The food options are endless. There is something for everyone from typical arena food to well known chain restaurants. We were on the Tampa Bay club level and enjoyed the nachos, sliders, and fries. We also grabbed a couple draft beers from Cigar City Brewing. The view of the concert from our seats was fantastic and we look forward to returning for a Lightning game. Go Bolts!

Great facility. Every seat is a good one for Lightning games! Drinks are a little expensive, but what do you expect from a stadium! It's clean, well managed, and easy to navigate. If it's your first Lightning game be sure to stop by guest relations for a free button.

Area in and around the stadium is very lively and vibrant. Pretty easy to find your section, and the staff were nice and able to direct well. Stadium packed with high energy, and the lights and atmosphere are great. Stairs to the upper sections might make you need to catch your breath. Hockey in person is definitely much more entertaining. I’d suggest eating before hand, and drink only if you must. 30+ dollars for two drinks is pretty steep.

I love coming down to Amalie for concerts or shows. It’s a great venue, right on the water. Food and drinks are expensive, but I like the atmosphere. It’s super easy to navigate, but I do wish they’d open the doors sooner for shows, especially during our rainy season. I also like the common area outside, where you can mingle, walk around and chill out before going inside. But it can also get very hot out there. In terms of the inside, the 300 level was not very clean. The floor was sticky and it was clear it had not had a cleaning. The leg room up there is sparse as well. However, there’s not really a bad seat in the house and it’s large enough to make you feel like you are at a large show, but it’s not humungous. The staff is always nice and pleasant and always helpful. The food is way overpriced, but part of the experience!

I love Lightning games. Had a fantastic time. The Bolts really know how to put on a great show. The sound in the arena is amazing and the organ is my favorite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Already looking forward to my next visit.

I love that this hockey arena also serves as a concert venue. I went with a group of friends from church to see Pastor Steven Furtick and Elevation Worship. It was a fantastic time! Some of the arena workers were not as pleasant as I had hoped, but most were enthusiastic. You could tell the ones that were not loving life right then. The temperature was perfect, the energy was electrifying and the environment was safe.

I really enjoyed my concert experience here. The location is really clean and the staff is friendly. Prices are typical stadium prices. Lyft dropped us off in the front and when we left we walked 4 blocks to get Lyft. Sitting section 200 you can get some great views. Great venue to enjoy sports or a music show. You can get in and out in under 5 minutes

Amalie Arena in Tampa is an incredible venue to experience a lightning game. The arena is spacious, clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing great customer service. The seats offer fantastic views of the game from all angles, and the sound system is top-notch. The atmosphere is electric, especially during a big game, and the energy from the fans is contagious. The food options are plentiful and delicious, and the bar selection is impressive. Getting in and out of the arena can be a bit hectic during peak times, but it's worth it for the unforgettable experience. Overall, Amalie Arena is a must-visit for any hockey fan in the Tampa Bay area.

I really enjoyed going to the Amalie Arena to watch a concert and a few hockey games. There were pregame parties (I was there for a playoff game) outside the arena which was great. Security into the arena was fast. Food and beverage at the arena was expensive, but what area is cheap. But the staff worked well and they were friendly. Seating views and comfort were good. I was also able to try the VIP option and that was way better than I thought it would be with free drinks and good food, they even had steak. I also liked the pregame video hype and the Tesla lightning strikes on the ceiling when Tampa scored was cool to see. Also for the rock concert, I wasn’t so impressed by the acoustics inside the arena. The sound quality was way too loud and sound distortion was terrible. If you like my reviews, photos or videos then tap Espo a puck in the slot to make a top shelf hit of the like button.

Purchased some expensive tickets for disney on ice for yesterdays 3pm show. Upon getting to the gate to scan my ticket I was stopped with my 3.5 year old daughter and told I would not be allowed in. When I inquired why they said “no one over 14 is allowed to dress up as any Disney characters“. My daughter asked me to dress up as Elsa with her to go to the show. I asked how I was supposed to know that before the show they responded it was in an email that was sent after I purchased my tickets. I scanned through all of my emails from Emily Arena and Disney on ice and I cannot find anywhere that states a mom cannot dress up with her daughter and take her to Disney on ice. I asked for a supervisor and that took 25 minutes. By now the show had already started and was going on. Manager came out and also reiterated that I could not enter the show in front of my daughter who was at this point hysterical crying. Someone in line had been watching the whole incident and went inside and bought me an extra large Disney T-shirt to go over my costume and went to bat for me because they felt so bad about what they were witnessing . The manager refused to give me her name. I missed the first half or quarter of the show that I paid for. Furthermore my daughter was distraught and couldn’t calm down and felt overwhelmed. I am including a photo of myself and my daughter. I went on Amalie Arena‘s website and also searched for this policy and I cannot find it anywhere. I am so extremely disappointed I drove over an hour to get to that show . We have been planning this mother daughter day for a month. I am in tears about this. Amalie Arena how could you? She is a 3 1/2 year-old girl. You should be ashamed of yourself!

The Lightning beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 last night, it was a great game! Even the least expensive seats have a good view. The BierGarden is an option for beverages and food, our first time in this area, and there are many other options for dinner or snacks. The arena itself is very nice and the bathrooms are clean. There is also a gift shop where gear and souvenirs are available for purchase. Also, parking is not an issue. A fantastic time for the entire family.

We went to Amelie Arena to see Tool in concert. This was our first time here. Getting back and forth to the venue, both on foot and using a ride share service was easy. Entry into the concert moved as quickly as possible considering the volume of people all arriving at the same time. The concessions were good and prices were as expected for a concert. Sight lines from the seats were good and the sound worked well in the arena. I would come back here again for a show.

As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan I frequent the Amalie Arena often to enjoy Lightning games and other events like Monster Jam etc. This arena is not only the most enjoyable place I’ve ever been to enjoy some sports or events but is also state of the art. They have everything you need as well as a huge selection of food and beverage vendors. You would be hard pressed to ever visit every place in there due to the amount of options. Most everything is pretty quick and bathrooms are strategically placed. The food offerings are great. The beverage options are plentiful. Parking isn’t all that much of a hassle either. Also they have 2 Tesla coils hanging from the ceiling, one on either end of the arena. If you hear an electricity sound make sure to look up! I included a picture of the bolts of electricity shooting from it. All in all this is an amazing place, as is the beautiful and top tier city of Tampa Bay, and as always, GO BOLTS!

I’ve been now to Amalie for a concert (Def Leppard and Journey), and a Lightning hockey game. Love Amalie arena. Easy in and out. Everything clearly marked with good signs. Haven’t purchased any food or drinks either time. Quick in and out in the bathroom. There are escalators and elevators aside from the stairs. Not a whole lot of leg room but seats are comfortable. Can’t wait to come to another Game.

Saw Sebastian Maniscalco there. From what I could see there were no bad seats. It's not a huge stadium, focused mainly on the Lightning. Parking was horrific. Traffic surrounding the Arena was atrocious. Publix will tow you if you park in their garage. Chase lounge had great bar areas. Cute stickers on the urinals.

Top notch arena. Incredibly clean and very walkable. The audio and lighting truly make this venue an experience. The staff is so friendly I almost forgot I was at an NHL game. Decent food selections and the arena itself is in a very convenient downtown Tampa location.

Winna-Winna Chicken dinner!!! Located on the Waterfront in the heart of Downtown. Traffic was crazy as to be expected for a concert at a venue that seats 21,500 people. We stayed close by and it was an enjoyable stroll. Plenty of restaurants and bars walking distance to enjoy before or after the event. They even had a PDQ chicken fast food chain inside!!! 🍗🍗🍗

Great experience! The Ashley VIP lounge is totally worth it. The food was spectacular. The drink were a whole vibe. The lounge itself was beautiful! Clean bathrooms and easy access to floor seats. Definitely the way to go for a full concert experience.

We came to Amalie to see The Cure. The ac is great! That's important because Florida summer. Plan to spend around $20 on a drink. Restaurants are located inside the arena, but they're mostly burgers and dogs. Staff was very friendly. There are plenty of restrooms and the line is shorter if you walk a little further. I'm not sure where the elevator is to get in and the steps can be daunting if you have mobility issues. Leave extra time for parking especially driving around construction.

Great arena to catch a concert or watch the multi time Stanley Cup champion TB Lighting play. Most recently visited for the Blink 182 (w/ Turnstile & KennyHoopla) concert. We had a great time! Staff was friendly and the arena was clean. Only complaint (although expected) was drinks & food pricing, but it's not any lower or higher then what you'd expect at other arenas.

  • 4/5 C F D. 11 months ago on Google
Was here for the new edition concert, and I will say that the concession stand was fast and efficient, and the bathrooms were actually clean. I can't give more than 4 stars because the stairs are wonky and the seats are on top of one another. Definitely not built for comfort.
