Found a coupon in the local guide from the trolley ride. Rented the 9.9 HP 2-seater for a few hours and had a great time! The 2 hour tour allows you to circle nearby David Island, it’s beautiful house (included Tom Brady’s and Peter O. Knight Airport at the end. Then, once you return to start go 1/2 upstream North under a 1/2 dozen bridges and sights. If you’re booking in summer, suggest to get the first slot to get out and back before either the Rain or the sweltering heat. Not much room inside the 9.9 HP boats. Bring a small beach bag with fluids, sunscreen, etc. We brought a small BT speaker for some tunes. You CANNOT get off the boat besides at their dock OR bring Alcohol. NO License required! Only a brief boating review (ten minutes tops at the docks). GO Go Go! PS-Got 4 people? Use their retro boats (they’re slower than the green boats) but seat 4!

I was hesitant at first because we aren’t small people and those little green boats looked very tiny from the dock but surprisingly the boats were large and comfortable. We had enough space and leg room to comfortably cruise the bay 😊 The boats were easy to navigate (even if it’s your first time behind the helm). I would definitely recommend Riverwalk Boating Company.

This was our second time renting boats here. We had a great time both times. We rented the more powerful boats. They were easy to control for us and we are inexperienced with watercraft. We rode out to the bay and then up the Hillsborough river a bit. An hour was perfect for us, anything less would be too short to get anywhere and back. I’m horrible with names so I don’t recall the guy’s name who rented the boats to us, but he did an awesome job orienting us and was very friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Ok these little boats you can rent were so much fun!! We weren’t planning on doing it but saw someone doing it and had to join in the fun. It ended up being one of my favorite things we did while visiting Tampa! The boats weren’t super fast but it was fast enough to feel like you were getting a bit of a thrill haha. Seriously so much fun! We had fun exploring on our own in this way. We saw Tom Bradys/Derek Jeters house which was a cool Bonus! Highly recommend.

Great way to see downtown Tampa. Great experience. Very helpful and friendly staff. Dominique was ver nice and courteous. Best to reserve ahead of time, the 15hp boat is the best option. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, the sun gets to you very quickly. Mini boat prices are $35 for half hour, $50 one hour, and $80 for 2 hours.

Stumbled across these boats while eating at the waterfront and we are glad we did! It was the perfect way to see downtown Tampa (and Tom Brady’s house 🏈). Great price for an hour! We enjoyed it so much we thought about doing it again the next day 😂 thank you!

Great little boat rental spot in downtown Tampa - definitely recommend! The mini boats are great for a cruise along the water to tour the Tampa area. Discovered a cool food hall and outdoor market spot while boating that we ended up visiting later that day. Dolphins and manatees may even make an appearance while you’re there, as we saw a couple dolphins ourselves. When you’re done, right next to the boat company is an outdoor bar and other eateries to hit after your adventure which was an added bonus! Thanks again to ‘Captain’ Emily for showing us a great time on our excursion!

The best part of my trip was this boat ride!! An absolute must whether you are with friends or alone. I did this alone and I had sooo much fun. Micheal and Rachel were really helpful and nice and explained everything I needed to know beforehand. Can’t recommend this enough!! Can’t wait to come back again and cruise the river

I will be coming back again! Cons: I felt lost the whole time! It was January! And we got wet and it was COLD! Downtown parking SUCKS! Pros: WE SAW DOLPHINS! or was it sharks? I had the BEST TIME! The staff is SO GREAT explaining the map, the signs! How to handle the other boaters! The price is definitely reasonable! Great date idea! I've lived in Tampa half my life and had never been out on the Bay! Next time I do this, I am wearing sun block! Clothes to get wet in! And waiting for warmer weather!

Had an enjoyable afternoon on the water. Boats are great for 2 people. They go fast enough to get around but not crazy where you have to be a captain. Saw a dolphin on our trip. Well worth it!

The guys here are absolutely fantastic, and the experience is great! Can make it around the island and to Armature Works and back within the hour if you're quick! Perfect way to see the city, and a reasonable cost too. Thanks guys!

Great experience. The stuff very nice and friendly. I was late for my reservation about 45min they actually were patient with me and allowed to ride full two hours even with me been late.

Rented a motorboat with my sweetheart while visiting Tampa for the second time in two years. It was a very relaxing time and memorable experience. I can speak for us both when I recommend two things. One, be very aware of the map they give you, it is easy to make a mistake and venture in the wrong direction, up the river, towards alligator-land. We almost did. Two; make sure you visit the Marriott hotel across the street and dine in their restaurant... order the seafood tower for two (if with the love of your life); you won't regret it. Food was great, experience and company was better.

Cool activity, very chill and a great way to see Tampa in a different light. Breeze through the Hillsborough River on a perfectly kept vintage “speed” boat” and enjoy the weather and scenic views. Had the best time on Babs with my husband- some good laughs and a memorable morning. Afterward, walked the river walk to the cute Sparkman Wharf area and had lunch at one of the recommended spots, Spitsville Southern + Social. Johnny gave us a wonderful experience from checkin to checkout. Friendly, informative and super helpful with all things Tampa and the reservation. Even took photos for us! He completely made our day! Totally recommend .

Had so much fun on these boats!! We rented the pink retro boat had plenty of time to explore the bay. Lots of room in the boat too. Michael and Hunter were awesome !!!!

So much fun! This was our first time and the employees make it super simple to learn how to drive the boat. Clear maps are provided as well. Book the 2 hours, 1 is not enough!

This was an amazing experience. It was fun, intimate, and thrilling. Jason, Michael and the third gentleman (can't remember the name at the moment) were all great, knowledge and encouraging. Honestly this was our first time doing something like this but it won't be our last. We did the green two seater and plan on returning with the family to do the four seater.

We took a one day trip to Tampa with our dog, she turned 12! Decided to go on the mini powerboat that goes about 10 mph, which you get for two seater an hour ($79 + tax) or two hours ($149 + tax). It’s something different to do and Our dog loved it. The staff were friendly, location was easy to find but you need to get there way beforehand to find parking, since you have to pay and it’s limited. There are parking lots walking distance from it, also $$$. The powerboat is way too expensive but it’s alright if you do it once tho and just for the experience.

We had a great time boating! The little green boats were so much fun! The staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly, gave us suggestions on where to go next and provided us with an overall awesome experience!

Had a lovely time exploring the bay! Emily was great and explained everything in detail (as a first time driver). I felt super comfortable driving their boats on my own. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would recommend Riverwalk Boating to anyone looking to do something fun during their stay in Tampa. A plus is that the company is close to several restaurants and bars, so can't beat the location for dinner or a cool drink after your ride. Thanks Riverwalk!

It was easy to reserve time. The young men at the dock were helpful and answered every question. The boats are in great condition and we were able to go out on the Bay.

We had a great time and I’m glad I found these guys. Make sure you give yourself time to find parking especially if there’s a hockey game going on lol. Once you get past that it’s all fun from there. They go over how to drive the boats beforehand and give you a little map of where to go and where not to go. We only did the one hour trip which was perfect. Obviously you can see more if you do the two hour ride. So this is the way to go if you want to see Tampa from a different perspective.

Purchased as something fun for my husband to do. He had a great time! Fun to get out on the water and explore. We had some billing confusion since I paid ahead and he paid again while he was there and they were able to locate and resolve the issue quickly. Great experience and customer service. My husband said he’ll definitely recommend it to friends coming to town as a fun way to see the city and get out on the water 🌞 🌊
