I normally do not complain, but this place needs a change in management. Way overpriced to start. The front desk sent us to a room that was not what we requested. Basic elevator signs were not available leaving many people confused and trapped. We were promised some provisional items and the front desk smugly guaranteed some basic things like bedding, pillow cases, but they were never provided, so yes, we slept without sheets and a blanket. Elevators were a mess and at least two of them were not working leaving a line of customers waiting and frustrated. There is no way this place is rated at 4.. more like 2 or less. If the staff were more helpful, I would not have complained, usually this means something is wrong with hotel management.

I will never stay here again. A total nightmare if you want to do something as simple as doing your laundry. The machines take quarters. But apparently there is some massive coin shortage in Tampa. Not even the banks have them. I had to walk all over Tampa to find some. The front desk was not willing to help at all. Additionally, the machines do not work very well. I’m currently air drying all of my clothes. Secondly, the front desk was unwilling to help me with my tax exemption for federal agencies. Tax exemption forms are not needed for federal agencies. However, this hotel requires it, while all my colleagues staying in other hotels had one provided to them from the hotel they were staying at. Lastly, the parking is expensive. They won’t negotiate the price, even for people staying for a year. I tried giving Hyatt a chance because I normally stay at Hilton hotels. I was going to stay for a year, but this hotel experience has made me sign a lease for an apartment. This hotel has no clue.

Don’t stay here if you can avoid it. - Power outlets broken in bathroom - Pillows smelled like someone literally just slept on them, showing that they don’t actually clean the linens (gnarly) - Food remnants on the couch - Front desk workers are lazy and lie to your face, don’t bother asking them for anything. I called and asked in person multiple times for replacement pillows, they will grin and tell you one thing and not actually do it. - Joke of a restaurant that charges 30$ a plate for the ambiance of… a hotel lobby. It’s literally not even separated, it’s just the other side of the lobby. I didn’t go, but it looked terrible I won’t be staying at Hyatt properties anymore.

So we reserved a room online and paid for the room. We arrived late from out of town only to find out that our room was given to someone else. We also lost our first night refund. So my question is why reserve? This is classless and will only get a retort of the same. I get business but these are people staying and paying good money only to have no room and no refund?? Worst service ever. Do not go there - only a money making operation. They do not care about whether you have a room or not. I will be posting this every week for the next year.

This was our favorite hotel here but this was most likely our last stay here because the front desk staff wasn’t very pleasant and the free breakfast clearly took the economic hit. The scan to request your car via text never worked. And last but not least, I was bitten by something multiple times. The one highlight, the valet crew. They were the sweetest given the chaos they were dealing with.

If you're staying here for customer service or hospitality go elsewhere! It took them 24 hours to give us an extra blanket and two days for extra towels. There is no room service. Their restaurant never answered their phone and it took the server 20 mins just to give us menus. The food was not worth the high lunch and dinner bill! The only highlight was the suite. The suite was clean, spacious and contained a full kitchen with dishwasher and refrigerator. The heated pool is an added bonus.

2 night stay downtown. Perfect location. Very night hotel. Everything was great. The only thing we miss was a Jacuzzi and ventilation fan in the bathroom. Note each time you valet park your car and exit property you have to pay the $36.00 fee.

Room pictures were deceptive. Only window in Living room is so hidden in an alcove that you cannot see it sitting on couch. Very dark and depressing. I was with my wife on our anniversary and was expecting "upscale suite" What we got was at best a 2 star room that had NO HEAT. Woke up to mid 60s room temp. Not horrible but cold to Floridians. Could not get the Heat to come on. The Breakfast Buffet was very limited and again of the quality of a 2 star hotel when I paid for what I thought was an Upscale. Room was clean bed comfortable and shower very good. Only reason I gave this hotel a 2 star rating and not a 1. And by the way as others have stated the parking fee is ridiculously high at $38 = per night. I had not stayed at a Hyatt property for some time and I can now say it will be my last.

Front staff during the day is rude and unhelpful. We get to the hotel pay for our stay and they double charged us a $300 hold which is for incidentals they say. The card was put twice in the terminal because, it failed on her end the first time but said approved on the terminal. Said it would just fall off after we checked out when showing them both of the charges on my account. Then half way through our stay they charged another hold of $141 and some cents. They gave us absolutely no explanation as to what this hold is for when I called the front desk. I called customer service line and the woman told us the front desk would not help with the resolving the issue, and advised me to contact the complaint line. The reasoning the front desk couldn’t assist is because they were unable to see the double charge. I am a Hyatt member and I have stayed at many Hyatt hotels and this is by far the worst customer service I’ve received at a hotel. I had a total of $741 of holds while I’m staying from out of state. No apology, nothing. I have already contacted the complaint line and I am canceling my Hyatt membership. However, I am concerned for what the people in other reviews are saying about a great breakfast eat at home. The food is ridiculously unseasoned and bland. A side of salt, pepper, and basic hot sauce that’s crusted over from the non use does not qualify as seasoning. Salt that I couldn’t even taste because it was probably from some back room storage where they keep the french toast as well. The french toast on a few days were the same ones you get on a school cafeteria tray. I would choose to pay for the breakfast if it was better than this “complimentary” breakfast. Pathetic for a hotel breakfast. Not many options for people with allergies. If I could have left early I would have. The physical condition of the hotel was in good condition and clean.

My partner and I really had a great experience at this hotel. We had originally booked a king bedroom, but when we checked in, the front desk upgraded is to a suite with a kitchen. Great.first impression. The interior lobby is very bright and there is a bar/restaurant right off the front desk. There is also an area where you can purchase snacks, ice cream, beverages etc. The lobby also has some work areas and nice little secluded cubbies if you need a quiet space. There are 4 elevators in the hotel, so we never had to wait long. The hallways were bright and clean as well. Our hotel suite was wonderful and modern. Large sectional couch with big TV that can be rotated to face the sleeping or living areas. The kitchen had a nice large island with two seats. Kitchen has a microwave, small fridge and even a dishwasher! They supplied pots and pans, utensils, plates and the like. The bathroom was also nicely appointed and the shower is large with good pressure. Our room was relatively quiet and the AC worked well. The staff respected our request to sleep in and we were never disturbed by room service. When we requested some new towels, they were brought up quickly. In terms of location, you are in the heart of downtown, super close to the Riverwalk - which is a great way to spend a day in Tampa. The gym is quite large bright and updated, and there are several bikes (even a Pelaton!) and treadmills. Very nice space. The rooftop pool is ...ok...but is very small and there is limited seating available. Nearby though there is a really nice outdoor terrace with lots of seating and a great view of city hall. If you are planning on experiencing downtown Tampa, this a perfect place to stay - highly recommend.

Also, breakfast was 7-10 am and around 9 am they started a roped off security line. Only letting a few guests enter into the area at a time. And the happy hour from 4-6 the bartender was slower than a snail and not welcoming whatsoever even though I only ordered 2 drinks from the get go. I could even order another round she was so slow. Still tipped over 20% but my god. This place was that awful. Again go to Hilton right down the street. The best.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The room reminded me of a loft in NYC with just the right amount of space to move around. The front desk attendant was so nice and helpful. I was even able to chat with the General Manager of the hotel that was very accommodating to a unique request. The pool was absolutely perfect (great temp) with great views of downtown. When I am in Tampa again, I will not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Hyatt House for the great experience.

Great location for exploring downtown Tampa with plenty of restaurants nearby or head down to the River Walk (10 mins walk) foe something a little more special. All staff were super helpful and the room was exceptional in size and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend!

Simple but very cosy. Professional and friendly team. Beautiful bedroom/studio (great view). We enjoyed our burgers and fries at the bar one evening. Perfect location.

Dual property with Hyatt Place. Hyatt house offers more of a longer stay feel with a kitchen set up. Parking is valet only Very nice gym!

Overall the stay was lovely. Location was perfect close to the water and our daughter’s apt. Service, the staff was professional and helpful when needed. Rooms were spacious. Pool was quiet, hint: sun doesn’t hit the deck until around 2:30 pm. Lots of families vacationing. SBX was on-site which was a plus. There was a concert or event in town which brought several young adults/ college students who enjoyed life to the fullest, though were very loud and obnoxious upon returning from 1-3 am after a night of hanging out. The quiet sign from 10 pm - 7 am wasn’t really acknowledged or enforced.

I’m a avid Hilton customer so was looking for a hotel that would offer more than just a bed. I booked a room with the kitchenette and sitting area. I enjoyed the option of staying in bed or on the couch to watch tv. Another reason I booked a stay is the ability to cast and watch my own cable. I find myself having more time to catch up on vacation. Breakfast was decent as well

Super comfortable hotel. The rooms are so clean and smells nice. I was shocked about how spacious the rooms were. Also, the staff was always helpful and friendly.

We visited during a peak time when lots of guests were in town for a NFL game. They did their best to get everyone checked in on time. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and they have a decent continental breakfast. There is valet parking out front and an attached Starbucks. We would certainly return again.

The hotel is GORGEOUS and in a great location. Most of the staff was incredibly helpful, however I did have one pretty negative experience. I purchased some food from the snack bar and the person at the reception counter was one of the rudest people I have every encountered. Completely dismissive and disrespectful. Probably one of the worst customer services experiences I’ve had in my whole life.

Very clean hotel located in the heart of the heart of Downtown Tampa. PROS: very clean rooms & amenities, spacious suite that comfortably fit my family of 4. Breakfast was also good with lots of options. There’s a restaurant in the lobby, another across the street & another on the corner. There’s also a Starbucks on the same block. CONS: you’re charged a “tourist” tax everyday ($15) of your stay, parking is $36/day plus tax & valet only. The pool is small and doesn’t get direct sunlight so if you’re traveling outside the summer months it’s chilly. There’s no hot tub. It’s pretty noisey - we heard all morning traffic (honking horns) despite being on an upper floor. Overall it’s a nice hotel - 45 mins from Clearwater beach & 30 mins from St Pete. It’s just full of hidden fees and can get loud. If you’re not planning to be in the room much & don’t mind the extra fees go for it.

If you’re looking to enjoy the pool in the morning or early afternoon forget it !! The pool is a joke. No sun on pool or pool area until 4pm !! I would have never booked if I knew that. They should at least make people aware of that when booking Rooftop pool it is not. It’s on 5th floor .

I was supposed to stay at the Hilton (where I usually stay) and my reservation got messed up so I booked the Hyatt House Downtown Tampa. Best decision! I travel a lot and by the time I got to the Hyatt I had been on the road for 3 weeks. Nice, clean, friendly, comfortable, etc… and Veronica at the front desk was amazing! I will be choosing Hyatt from now on. Thank You!!!

We had many rooms at this hotel for a wedding. It was so great to have a space to hang out with all our family and friends in the lobby of the hotel. Donald was the best! He was so helpful with many questions and accommodating all our needs. The rooms were large and very comfortable with the best showers and great views. The location was perfect. Breakfast was good with lots of options.

Nice clean hotel, perfect location. Right in the middle of downtown, walkable to everything. Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Nice gym, pool area and lounge area with a little fire pit. Starbucks is located in the lobby which is convenient. Free breakfast is just ok. The food at the restaurant was good. Overall good experience. I would stay there again.

Donald was hands down the best front desk man ever. He was so kind, answered all of our questions and always had a smile on his face. Only giving 4 stars because of the valet only parking. $33 a night is pretty steep. We ended up parking in Fort Brooke Parking Garage which was .2 miles away. Only a 4 minute walk from the hotel so totally reasonable. It was $2 an hour and a max of $12 per day. We parked there the night of an event and had no issues finding a parking space there. Breakfast was awesome too. It's open from 630-930. We made it down with 5 minutes to spare one morning and the full spread was still hot and fresh.

I just wanted to send some feedback due to the impeccable service we received from all of your staff at the hotel during our staycation. Regardless of Hurricane Ian, everyone was cheerful and welcoming. I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, not to mention the delicious food and cocktails in your Corazon restaurant as well as the hospital valet staff that helped us with our car and moving our belongings. We will definitely come back to this hotel. It is new, modern, clean, quiet, close to everything in downtown tampa and we felt very welcomed during our stay.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and while overall it was just as good as last time, there is one new glaring problem versus my previous stay. I don't know who decided to make the parking valet-only, but they need to reconsider. The issue is that the driveway/entrance is not configured to handle the amount of valet traffic the hotel experiences at peak times of the day (check-in/check-out/dinner time/etc). The first time I stayed here, self-parking was the default and valet was an option, as it is at most hotels in this price bracket. I liked that arrangement. This time however, guests were blocked from parking their own vehicles, and were forced to use the valet. I wouldn't have a problem with that if it functioned well, but it doesn't. To be clear, it is not the valet runners/drivers who are at fault - they were working very hard and doing their best to move things quickly. The problem is solely related to the physical space and arrangements of the entrance. There is no space to queue up vehicles that need to be parked. Additionally, guests who use the automated text service to retrieve their cars sometimes do not come down right away, leaving their car sitting in one of only two possible lanes for vehicles. This is inconsiderate behavior by some guests, but the real issue is that there is simply no space for cars to sit. I was in Tampa with my family, including 2 small children, and we were coming and going frequently during our stay so I used the valet multiple times. There were 2 occasions where we had to wait 20-30mins for our vehicle, including 30+ minutes after check out. Additionally, we had to wait over 30 minutes just to park our car, because of the issues mentioned previously. I'm surprised the city lets the hotel function this way, because the valet line was routinely backed up well into the street and around the corner, blocking a lane on a busy road for a long time. This really sucks, because I love this hotel otherwise. It's why we stayed here again. All of the staff are great, the facilities are clean and exactly as described, the included breakfast is great, etc. Everything is really good, except for the parking situation, which is entirely self-imposed! This was enough of a problem that even though I loved everything else about the stay, we won't be returning unless self-parking is allowed again.

The Wonderful staff make this hotel special. Getting in late with two young children, check in was fast and painless through Abdul at the front desk. He truly went above and beyond for us. Mariah at valet was also helpful.

Just finished a three night stay here. Staff were super friendly and were very responsive to a couple requests we had. I recommend room 1207 for the big windows and great view! I am giving four stars for something that is slightly out of their control - the valet parking. At certain times of the day and I’m sure particularly on the weekend it is so backed up that cars begin blocking the intersection. We would text the valet when we were ready to pick up our car but they never received the messages and we just had to wait when we got down there. The cost to park is high. And I’d gladly self park and save the valet the hassle. They seemed to be understaffed. I’ve never experienced a combo Hyatt House and Hyatt Place. It did make for a very crowded breakfast. Quite overwhelming. Also, there was a man in a room four doors down from us who kept his door open all the time. All. The. Time. It never bothered us when we were in our room and we were thankful not to be closer to his room as he was a loud talker and loud tv watcher. Just odd. Other than those quirks we very much enjoyed our stay!

Stayed for 5 days. Lovely hotel, clean new rooms, great breakfast and a Starbucks in the lobby! Breakfast changed daily. All were good. They included usually bread array and bagels, most days lox and capers too, eggs, bacon or sausage, French toast, French toast sticks, and a potato item. Fresh fruit, juices, cereal, yogurts, granola, and sliced meats and cheeses too. Staff was pleasant. Valet was fast and polite. Over all top notch.

We had a great stay here! All staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and our bed was actually super comfortable. Nice location close to lots of restaurants. Busch Gardens was a 15 minute drive. The free breakfast was good. And you MUST try dinner at the on-site restaurant, Corazon. It’s ridiculously delicious!! I cannot believe how delicious our food was!! I would definitely stay here again.

We really liked this place. It was clean and very modern. The beds were comfy, the towels were nice. The breakfast in the morning was pretty decent. Usually eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns.. cereal options, fruit. Would stay here again in an instant.
