My son and I heard the food was good so we decided to give it a try on a busy Friday evening. Seated right away on the porch. Ordered the Gorgonzola Garlic Bread appetizer, it was delicious. My son had a burger and fries, I tried the Fish and Chips. Everything was tasty. The fish filet was as big as the plate. The Baja sauce was a nice alternative to tarter. Service was quick, food good, place looked clean and we even had live music to listen to. I enjoyed it.

Let's start with the positives! Very friendly staff, food was good, drinks were OK, decent parking. Not sure if we were there at an off time but it was not busy, yet we waited a long time for everything - for the host, for a server, for our drinks and a very long time for our food because they forgot to put in the order...it happens, and I appreciate the honesty, but I'd been wanting to go here for awhile and was a bit disappointed. Unique and cute place, staff was friendly and the food was good. Maybe we were there at an off time.

This place has the best pancakes AKA "Porch Cakes" that I have ever had the privilege of stuffing my food hole with! The chocolate chip cakes are good, but so far, their walnut cakes are the perfect blend of flavors. Because of this unique trait, they are the perfect method for destroying any diet, in addition to providing you with limitless happiness for the duration of your blessed meal. Their cheese grits are rather phenomenal as well, and will come highly recommended! The sourdough sandwich was quite delicious as well, but the Porch Cakes and grits stole the show like they always do...

I loved eating at lunch and getting to sit at the front porch. The staff is super nice and they’re down to help out with any ingredient changes. The blackened salmon with a side of mashed potatoes were so good. The parking lot has a fair amount of spots.

Normally a five-star experience when dining in, my first to-go order from Front Porch was pretty awful. This is definitely a go-to for me in SH, but I know to only dine in and never order takeout. Meatloaf and burger were very bland, and this (in the image) is NOT a key lime pie. Always a great experience when dining in.

Fun neighborhood restaurant that has character and quirkiness that is a delight. Lots of different seating options from the porch, to the patio to inside. We sit on the patio on a beautiful morning and had a wonderful experience. Servers are nice and friendly. The menu has some great options. I ordered the Benedict scrambled and loved it. Really wish this was on the border to my neighborhood, I would walk here every weekend.

Mahi Mahi was fresh and had a light and savory lemon butter sauce that was amazing, I polished it off in about a minute. Donna had the pasta with bolognese meat sauce that was too spicy for her, but not me, I loved it. We ate inside to escape the Florida afternoon heat. It was rustic, and there were some flies buzzing about, but the service was good. Happy hour deals, Decent beer selection, didn't try any mixed drinks. There was a band playing outside too!

Had a nice lunch on the porch with our jack Russell terrier today. The server immediately brought our dog some water. My wife had one small issue with the food and the response was more than appropriate. We will be back if we are in this area again.

very cute spot, fast service, great food, and really nice staff. all of our breakfasts were really delicious, i got a bowl with scrambled eggs, potatoes o’brien, fried chicken, and cuban bread, and my friends got the greek omelet, a breakfast sandwich, and a spinach omelet. i really loved the chicken, it was flavorful and great for breakfast, and the potatoes o’brien were perfect. overall a super cute place, and definitely dog and kid friendly, so it’s a good option if you’re looking for somewhere nice to sit down and have breakfast/lunch but are traveling with kids/pets. we sat out on the porch and it was really lovely with the weather. def would go back !

Good price and atmosphere. Some of the best priced mimosas in the area. Eggs benedict were cooked just right with good sauce to boot. Just enough lemon but not enough to overpower the rest of the eggs. Potatoes were cooked just right. Meatloaf left something to be desired with flavor but the mashed potatoes were spot on and complimented the lack of flavor in the meat. Would definitely come back to sample more of their offerings.

Food was Unappealing and taste less! Biscuits and gravy was orange and had no sausage! Didn’t taster anything like it! Home fries tasted just like it look plan fat cut potatoes! With no seasonings 🧂

A Perfect Sunday Brunch at Front Porch & Barns Tavern 😊 My husband and I had an outstanding brunch experience at Front Porch & Barns Tavern this past Sunday. Dottie, our server, added an extra layer of enjoyment with her excellent service. The special $3.50 mimosas were a delightful touch, setting the tone for a great meal. I opted for the Porch Bowl, a harmonious blend of home fries, eggs, hollandaise, and sausage links. Each element was perfectly cooked, creating a symphony of flavors on my plate. Meanwhile, my husband indulged in the Huevos Rancheros—a culinary masterpiece featuring eggs, corn tortillas, queso fresco, and black beans. It was nothing short of amazing! The ambiance was exactly what we were looking for, with vibes that exceeded our expectations. The fall Florida weather at 76 degrees made our porch dining experience even more memorable. It was the perfect setting to savor a delicious breakfast. In conclusion, Front Porch & Barns Tavern is a gem for brunch enthusiasts. From the inviting atmosphere to the delectable dishes and Dottie's impeccable service, it's a must-visit. Highly recommend for a delightful and satisfying brunch experience.

A great comfort food spot! Very laid back vibes, this former house turned restaurant/bar is really a cool spot. It’s not fancy, but it’s very home-y and friendly. There’s limited indoor seating and plenty of nice outdoor seating on the front porch so I recommend coming when the weather is nice so you can sit outside. The menu has a lot of variety with most entrees at or around the $15-20 mark which is good considering how much food it comes with. They have drink specials everyday and food specials most days too (mimosa’s $3 on Sunday). The meatloaf is my favorite in Tampa. Can’t go wrong with most their menu items.

I enjoyed the food; it was filling. I got the Egg whites with goat cheese, the potato cakes, and Canadian bacon and added a flavored pancake (slices of banana) to the side. We also had calamari as an appetizer, one of the best I've had here in Tampa; it wasn't just a greasy mess like the others. I wanted to sit outside, but it was hot, and the fans on the porch were too weak. They could add a few rotating fans to the corners of the ceilings. Our waitress Dotty was great!

A quaint Seminole Heights staple. It's been here for years. Food has always been good, nothing extravagant, more comfort foodish. Great outside seating patio as well. Always a good option.

Very disappointed with the experience. The house is falling apart and needs an urgent deep cleaning. Omg! We saw and felt the dust on the table and the condiments. The whole place is dirty and in poor condition. I think that is 20 years they haven’t bought new glasses. How they can serve water or anything on them? The food was horrible it tested old and with a rare smell. We would never be back. I would not recommend this place at all. Sorry!

Went here with some friends because they recommended it. Restaurant seems to be a conversion from an old Tampa house complete with inside and outside seating options. They had a specials menu which we ordered the grilled octopus with chimichurri and feta. The flavors were good although I wish it had more of a grill flavor or spent longer on the grill to develop grill marks. We also ordered the escargot appetizer... Delicious.. they bring you garlic toasts and the escargot themselves were large and in the wonderful garlic butter sauce. For dinner, I ordered the blackened salmon. It was a nice portion size and was accompanied with rice and seasoned veggies. The atmosphere was very home/“front porch” like. They do allow pets in the outside seating areas which was nice. Wait staff were attentive and professional. All in all a great place to eat and close to other area bars and restaurants. Definitely check it out!

This place is a dive. The food was terrible. The structure is falling apart. Silverware was covered in fingerprints. Water cups and plates were chipped. Holes in walls (literally). Flatbreads were soggy in the middle and burnt on the ends. The Thai flatbread was wayyyyy too sweet. The fries were soggy and under-seasoned. The table was bowed on the edges and the wood was coming apart. We will never go back. Yuck!

Food was delicious, drinks were tasty and our server was very attentive. Cold night sitting on porch but unfortunately heaters were out of propane so we didnt order dessert. It's Florida, so we will come back again when its warmer.

Hung out in Tampa for the first time on my birthday and was blown away by this place. We arrived after dark so sitting outside on the wrap around porch was a must. The ambiance and vibes were very chill with an upper class touch. Menu had many amazing options and a tag along special and drink menus. Tried a lot of the specials which were all worth it. Definitely coming back.

We go regularly. Good has not let us down. Service is good if not slammed busy. Atmosphere outside is very nice. Inside a little dingy and loud. But I over look not since it's a very old house. The outside tavern no one ever has come up to us to see if we want a drink. But love sitting out there when a band is playing

The menu is diverse, and food is wonderful. The burgers are tremendous as well as the desserts. The old house creates a homey feel like you are eating among family and friends. It is a loud place filled with happy banter, both times I have been, but not overwhelming. People of all ages were there; from young to old and groups, singles, couples, and young families. Dress was come as you are. The live music outside was fun old classics. It's definitely a great Tampa asset.

A nice quite place for dine-in with lots of options on the menu & delicious food & drinks. We ordered Mediterranean platter, west coast flatbread & fish tacos.. everything was so tasty. One of the best fish tacos & flatbread i ever had. All of the staff is very nice & friendly. They allow dogs on their patio too. Would love to try their breakfast menu next time :)

The food was good but the service was terrible. It took our waiter over 10 minutes to even come to our table. She checked on us once after she brought us our coffee. That's it. When she dropped the check off she said she'd be right back and over 15 minutes have passed and as I write this review we're still waiting for her to come cash us out. The food also took forever to come out. Something like 30-40 minutes. Which wouldn't really be a big deal if our waiter had stopped by at any point in time to let us know the kitchen was behind. I mean, this is just common sense, basic stuff. I feel like the only person actually working diligently and attentively to customers was the hostess. I've heard good things about this place but I won't be coming back again. The service is truly awful. I noticed that the table next to us also had to wait forever for service and food and they had a different waiter.

The food was so good, hot, fresh, and the portion sizes were generous! The staff were all so friendly and though they were busy, did a great job at making every customer feel at home and appreciated. I was very impressed, will definitely be returning!

I’m a big fan of everything at front porch. The live music the bar the crowd the staff the food and the prices. We love the brunch as well. I had the egg white omelette it had some delicious goat cheese in it. It’s probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. Boyfriend had the traditional eggs Benedict…also great. Ham was extra thick n delicious. Eggs were cooked perfect.

Wait for a really long time at around 2 pm. The fries are not crispy and fresh enough. The sandwich is good.
