My wife and I read a lot of hype about Butter’s Burgers and we were beyond excited to try what was sure to be a tasty, enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, once the hostess seated us, it took an unreasonable amount of time for a server to greet our table. So much time elapsed that we had to get up from our outside table to find someone to serve us. After placing our orders, it took an incredibly long time for our food to be ready. To be fair, the manager did come to our table to apologize for the wait which was appreciated. When the food finally arrived, I found it to be enjoyable, but it certainly didn’t knock my socks off. All in all, the experience was just okay. We will likely not return unless there is a compelling reason to give this place a second shot.

Great ambience, customer service was excellent (remember to ask your server’s name, our server hadn’t been asked for 3 days)…burger concepts were creative, but they fell a bit short. Specifically, the consistency of my burger was a bit off…it was a bit too tightly packed if that makes sense. They also could have been cooked a bit less…we prefer medium-well, but asked for medium (since most burgers cook a bit more as they’re being served). Although I’m giving three stars I would actually recommend a visit based on potential.

The pug dog was the star of the show! Hands down probably the best loaded Chicago style dog I’ve had in years. It’s large enough for two people to be honest. The Nash hot chicken sandwich was really good, not your traditional Nashville hot sandwich as this was not made with a dry rub seasoning, but still pretty darn good. It’s essentially a Buffalo chicken sandwich. The coconut shrimp was phenomenal paired with an orange marmalade. Will certainly return !

This place was pretty good when they first opened a few years ago. Well let me tell you about my experience a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a Pug Dog and sweet potato fries. The food I received looked like I was the dog that they were feeding. 7-11 hot dogs are better than this place and cheaper. The sweet potato fries were cold. My order was to go. I work across the street. So it's not like I had to travel far with my food. I paid $14 and some change for the meal only no including tip. Please compare my photo of what I received and what they advertised. They offered me to come back, and they'll fix it. No, thanks.🤢🤮😡

The food was delicious, quick service and super chill spot. They have a big bar with lots of TVs all around. They have iPads on each table to check the menu. We came after a night at Ybor City and had steak tacos as appetizers and two burgers. We replaced regular fries with sweet potato fries. The location is in the downtown area, and there is a public parking right on the corner.

In the downtown area right across the street from a water display. Indoor/outdoor seating with friendly service and good food. They have a variety of menu selections so it’s not just burgers. The burger was very good and cooked the way I wanted. Drinks not so bad either. Definitely recommend.

We loved the environment, staff were very friendly. It doesn’t have a variety of wine, one of each grape. But for beer lovers, they have a few more Latin love is a drink “painkiller” style, but instead of orange juice is raspberry juice, sweeter, but good. Meatballs was ok. Sauce was very good. Wedge salad was good, but missing sauce. The burger with Gorgonzola and raspberry is amazing. The one with mushroom, was delicious, but the taste is mustard is very intense. And last one, the second one in the list, egg, bacon, chipotle sauce… amazing!!

The concept is amazing. I am not sure they are executing to fully realize the potential of the location and concept. We came right after a lunch rush that had them backed up (I overheard a waiter apologizing for the long wait on food because they were not staffed for a big rush today). The service was good - we sat at the bar. This was the bartender's first day and he did a good job and was friendly. The burger menu is extensive and has many choices for anyone including vegetarian or chicken instead of beef. We ordered a couple of local craft beers and burgers to start. The order went in quick. After a bit of a wait (I honestly did not think it was more than 15-20 minutes) the bartender said he would check on our food. He promptly returned with our orders. They clearly do not have a system to let the bartenders/waitstaff know when food is ready. Now onto the food: Both of our burgers were very good. While you could tell they sat for a bit, they were still delicious. I would imagine they would have even been better if they came out right after cooking. We both opted for onion rings as our side. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. My friend had a mix of overcooked (like hard and dark) onion rings along with what I assume were fresh onion rings that were soggy with oil. My guess is the oil was not at temperature when they were cooked. My rings were just soaked in oil and warm not hot. The picture that is included shows my meal after I was done - to be clear this is what I turned back to the bartender. He asked if I wanted to box it up and I said no that I really did not care for the onion rings. He apologized. Listen, y'all I am not trying to bash on this place. The service was acceptable, the atmosphere was good, the concept is something I could come back to again and again, but it still needs work. My personal opinion is while it was great to see the owners on property they need a restaurant manager to help them realize their dream. I will be back. I really did like the idea and the burger and service were almost there!

You may not have guessed it but this place has good burgers. I had the Franklin and it was great. We came here with our kids and one them got a plain cheese burger that pretty good all on its own. I had loaded fries as a side and I the bacon was thick slices and so delicious. We sat outside and that was a lot of fun.

Great tasting specialty burgers! The seasoned fries were great! The onion rings were perfect! I also think it is important to point out that the ranch dressing was really good, as opposed to that obviously jarred stuff that many restaurants use. Great list of beers on tap. Our server was new (she told us), but was very friendly and competent. I think this fact must point to good management.

Excellent food and service- Ray knew how to make a perfect summer drink with the cucumber gimlet- and introduced us to a fabulous gin. Burger was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. Will definitely be back!

It was busy when we walked in for lunch. They told me it will be a 25 minutes wait. After 5 minutes the server showed us to a table and said that she will be back in 25 minutes to takes our orders. After we were seated, she forgot about us. She seated three others group after us and took their order. After 30 minutes I asked the server when will she takes our orders. She said that we shouldn't have sit down by ourselves. I told her she was the one that told us to sit down. Didn't even say sorry and just gave me a "whatever" look and took our order. The blueberry burger was good but the blue cheese overpowered the blueberry. The Franklin burger was okay. It say that it have brisket but it doesn't look like brisket meat. The burger meat was very good. It was smoky, soft and the meat was cook perfectly. I love the Pug Dog. The portion is huge and was very good. Overall the foods are good but the service could be a little better.

Great food. Excellent server. Great spot for a beer and a burger. Nice view of the park and an excellent place to people watch. You can see a whole slice of Tampa in about 30 minutes. Outside seating was typical patio style furniture and umbrellas. Interior was tall slab style tables with backed stools. Not my first choice for seating but it worked.

This is my go to spot in Downtown for my "cheat" meal 😁 the burgers here are fantastic and you can sub out the beef for grilled chicken. Theres a full bar and the drinks are good too. The servers and service is on point as well. Great burger spot to check out when you're downtown.

Good was great besides the shrimp burger. It completely fell apart :(. Overall views was really cool and WIFES burger was excellent. Flys started to come but outside you have to expect that. They have a wide variety of burgers with downtown street names pretty good idea. I’ll have to come back soon.

Walked in was immediately greeted and told I could sit anywhere bar indoor and outdoor seating available.... The vibe was laid back games were playing on the TVs, a few patrons around enjoying drinks and meals. This place was laid back a bar serving really good craft burgers and a nice beer selection with options from local breweries. A very helpful wait staff ready to answer any questions very knowledgeable on the food and the drink selections. I enjoyed my time there and definitely enjoyed the food. It was cooked just how I ordered it no complaints. I would go back we ordered the channel side put the truffle fries and nachos and a different Burger with truffle fries... Definitely give this place a try

Cool spot to have a beer and munch on appetizers or burgers. Burgers were good. I ordered the blueberry burger because it seemed interesting and our waitress recommended it. I definitely did not disappoint! Very good! 👍

We were on vacation in Tampa and caught the free TECO Streetcar. We rode it to downtown Tampa and walked around. We decided on Butter's Burgers. The server was very attentive. The burgers were good, and the fries were amazing. My son and I had the Channelside Drive burger. My burger was cooked just slightly more than I preferred, but it was not a deal breaker. We both agreed that the addition of spicy brown mustard threw the taste off slightly. We paid the extra $1.95 for the 10oz burger. I couldn't finish it with the fries.

Ray the bartender was excellent. The chicken sandwich was not cooked enough and couldn't eat it. Onion rings and drinks are great. Food is ok.

After dinner at Butter’s Burgers, great food and drink options, my date and I took a walk to see the sights near the canal. It was full of life - live music, skateboarders and people on rentable scooters, food trucks and vendors galore. The water was serene but the heat made it hard to enjoy long term. I enjoyed the lights and waterworks most. Perfect atmosphere for an evening outing.

Pros: Burgers were fantastic! The service was great! The atmosphere was upbeat and fun! Cons: Parking is $25 20% Gratuity is added to all orders. The service and food was so great I was going to leave a $50 tip however, since I was not given the option to choose a tip about the server only got 20% instead of 32% I was going to give. I'm not a fan of forced tipping.

This was our first time visiting, and our waitress exceeded our expectations beyond measures! They didn’t have any avocados for my grill chicken sandwich, and our waitress ran to the store close by to grab some. You can say customer services meets every end of anyone’s expectations…I will forever recommend this place to anyone. Besides wonderful customer service the food was very good as well.

I visited this restaurant today 5/28 and it was pretty good. I would rate the food and drinks a 4/5. Only reason I couldn’t get to a 5/5 is the touchdown drink had too much muddled strawberries and the burger which was ordered “medium” came out “medium well”. Descent place for a burger and definitely a 4 star restaurant. There were some issues with the restrooms not having soap/paper towels and one of them didn’t lock as well so management might want to look into that. Overall a descent experience and 4 star quality food and beverages.

Enjoyable, great service from staff, relaxing space and tasty drinks. The food was good and the space had a comfy sports bar feel to it, it’s definitely a spot to enjoy a game with food you can enjoy. I personally didn’t love the tacos I ordered but they were definitely tasty and know others would enjoy. Nachos were yummy and the burger w/ fries were also good 👍🏽 😊 I would come here again.

Nice view of the park and an excellent place to people watch. You can see a whole slice of Tampa in about 30 minutes. The fries are so good. They're the extra thin kind that get really crispy. …It was cooked perfectly and prices fairly. I had the burger with the blackberry sauce, Gorgonzola and thick-cut bacon on a brioche bun.My meal wasn’t flawed the way so many burgers are. The side of fries were great and also cooked perfectly.Perfect cook on the burger which was properly seasoned.

Had a great experience at Butter’s Burgers in Tampa!! I sat at the bar, and Jarren was very pleasant and helpful with making my decision. I went with a classic, basic burger when I first go to a burger place and was not disappointed. The sweet potato waffle fries dipped into the bam bam sauce tasted incredible! Shaun, the chef/cook stopped by to make sure I was happy with my order, which I was. Great customer service all around, even other servers were quick with a smile. I am a burger junkie and I’m always looking out for new places to try, but look forward to returning to try some of the other specialty burger options. Thank you to all the staff for a great dining experience!!!

Fantastic chicken sandwich...very messy but very good! My husband really enjoyed his cheesesteak and the side salad was finely chipped with all fresh ingredients. Fries were average. A great location for families visiting the children's museum.
