I am giving the venue 5 stars...slow bar service, sticky floors and all for the fact that the staff has to deal with obnoxious people. I went for the first time, pay by plate parking is everywhere. ID is checked outside. Ticket inside. Saw a ton of bad bathroom reviews. Its a concert venue hosting a bunch of drunks. Why would you expect HGTV decor? Guess what? By the end of the night there's no TP either. Spare a square anyone? The show was good. Sound quality was good. Heard every word from the artist and the quality didn't deviate from what I am used to. I would go again to see another show and I would recommend to friends.

Loved this venue at first; my issue being the card minimum & lack of free tap water. I don’t bring cash to shows, I don’t bring a purse AT ALL because I mosh, when you mosh you sweat, when you sweat its super easy to become dehydrated, when I want to drink WATER because I’m dehydrated and already spent $30 getting into the show and am having a great time in the pit and screaming to my favorite bands, the LAST THING I WANT TO DO IS spend $5 on water that’ll last me 5 minutes. At least they could offer regular bottled water that isn’t $5.

Cool place to see a show. I took my daughter to see Dance With the Dead and Beast in Black. Parking sucked as the lot was full and we had to pay to park in some dude's yard but I didn't have to worry about being towed and it wasn't that bad of a walk. My daughter is 17 so when we went in I was told I needed to keep an eye on her in there. I said that goes without saying and we chuckled. My biggest gripe was the lack of seating in the outdoor venue. I am 50 y/o. My days of standing at the stage for hours are long gone. There were a few benches and stools around but they were either in use or broken. It was a six plus hour drive to get there but my kid was happy she got to see Dance With the Dead. She got her pic with the guitar/keyboard player. The other two she saw around but they were being bombarded by other people or moving too fast. My back hurt but it was a good night. I would go there again.

If you enjoy dive bars for concerts this is definitely a great one. I have been around four time in 2023 alone and I love it! Sad to see everything inside only, can make the crowds rough. However the staff are accomadating and so kind to people with mobility devices and go out of their way to make sure you can get the experience you need to be equal to others, safely.

Great venue for a show. The sound was awesome and has a laid back atmosphere to really have a good time watching the concert.

Dual stages, one inside and out, make this venue the new place to be. Top acts from around the world play here. So intimate you might even get to meet a few walking out and the sound is stellar. Great drink selection. two bars for easy access. Local bar seating for when you need rest. Clean bathrooms.

My husband and I have been to this venue a few times for metal shows. The setup is cool with the inside bar and pool tables/merch stage. You can even watch the bands play from a huge screen inside the bar. The outside bar/stage area has plenty of room for people to get drinks and dance without destroying each other. I just have 2 suggestions: buy your own backup generators so bands don't miss their sets when you have technical difficulties outdoors, and put extra toilet paper in the bathrooms. For the love of all that is good, PLEASE give us extra toilet paper!!! Overall rad venue, great atmosphere and people, we love it here and keep coming back. Definitely check it out

Fantastic club/venue. Will definitely add my voice to those saying this place had good A/C, which is a matter of survival in the South, especially when partying. Good drinks, good music, decent prices. Also, big shout out to their security & management for protecting women. We saw a couple of very obvious men dressed as women trying to sneak into the women's bathroom and they very quickly removed them from the club. πŸ†

ONLY complaint is that I wish the bar menu had the prices for non-alcoholic drinks listed either somewhere at all or more big and clear because I didn't see any on the board at all although I'm certain it was available. I'm not wanting to get hammered but DEFINITELY needing to stay hydrated! OTHER THAN THAT, it's a great place with a great vibe. There was good seating but it was mostly standing room, but seating was definitely around enough for people that need it. The AC works great, the bathrooms are clean. I mostly just kept to myself but it all still seemed quite welcoming at least for the Kaiju Big Battel wrestling show, I'm sure the same will be true when I come out for the concerts too! Here's a quick video of the inside since I haven't seen one put up for all the time it's been at the new location: Panning from the bathrooms to the bar to the stage and standing room to the seating area with the ATM and the sound guy (shoutout to Nugget the ref in the corner, dude got a chant during every single match of the night). Should've gotten a shot of the drinks and prices but it's whatever, basically like 6ish dollars for a beer then upwards for different drinks; just bar prices.

Emo night brooklyn was super fun, there were 2 bartenders that i worked with a dude with a head band, and a blonde woman, the dude with the head band was able to hear me and my partner well enough to work with us, but the woman, closed our tab because she couldnt hear us and thought we were drunk, even tho i had been typing what we wanted into a note pad on my phone so she didnt have to try hearing us. Other than that. It was a great night. Dont know if the same bartenders work there everyday but figured i should mention it.

Saw Emery here in July 2023. Sound system and engineering for the show was top notch. $25 or $35 card MINIMUM for a bar tab. Meaning I hope you drink plenty or know to bring cash if you just want some water. They left the door to the patio open the entire night....in Florida.....in July. You pay for AC, why would you try to keep it shut? Glad the Emery show in 2022 got moved to New World Brewing.

Fix your no parking situation! I have missed several great shows because I arrive 20 minutes after the doors open and the parking lot is already full and closed! I can’t believe this is the best Tampa has to offer in a live music venue.

Great place to see a show. The prices are also reasonable. The issue is parking, you should ride share if possible but if you can't you probably need to park at Walmart a few blocks away.

Great venue. Not super big so you get a more intimate setting and it has an outside and inside stage. Outside also has a covered bar so you have a lot of choices to be comfortable.

OK service, OK sound. Parking was insufficient when hosting touring bands. (Homeowner on the closest side street was charging $20.). Advertised door time was 7:00, no music start time or ticket price advertised. Decades of heavy metal concert attendance, never once has the music started sooner than 30 minutes after doors. Arrived at 7:40 to find the second band well underway. Ticket price was $35, cash only. Way more than expected, at least they have an ATM on-site. Outdoor stage was pretty neat, though it seems to be an open invite for vaping and pot smoking, which is pretty gross on a light wind evening. Barricade for the loading area kept falling over onto the gear of the touring bands, definitely lame. Always happy to check out different venues that support underground metal, decent overall.

I really enjoy attending shows at The Orpheum. I have been there twice, one for an inside show and one on the outside stage. They have a bar inside and outside and for the sold out show they had a food truck on site (not sure if the truck is there all the time). Plenty of space inside and outside. While seating options are available, the seats are limited around the venue. If you plan on drinking at the bar I highly recommend having cash on you. To use a card it's a $25 minimum. That might not sound like a high minimum, but if you only want a drink or two cash would be better to use. Also parking is EXTREMELY limited. I recommend getting to the venue as early as you can prior to doors, especially if it's a bigger show. Or if you can get a ride to and from that would help with not having to deal with the limited parking.

This was my first visit here to see Carcass and opening acts. Although I really enjoyed the venue itself, I was really disappointed with the beer selection! They have a microbrewery selection there, and that's really it for the most part. I kept trying different flavors in hopes I'd find one I could semi enjoy. I didn't like any of them. I much more prefer the standard domestic choices. I'm sure others may enjoy it, but it wasn't for me. I didn't like that I didn't have the option to choose something that's more standard. Other than that, it was a good setup. Stage is outdoors. They have a smoker onsite which cooks up a variety of barbecue choices for sale. There's a bar outside as well as inside. They could definitely benefit to have more bartenders on staff, since it was a little difficult to get someone's attention at times. I understand it's hard to prepare accordingly for every event though. Overall, I enjoyed myself. There's really not a bad spot in the place to watch the bands. Anywhere I moved around, I could still see the stage with a good view. I will definitely go back when another good show is in town. I'm just hoping they'll eventually have a better beer selection!

Really cool venue with the dive-bar feel. Awesome bartenders, reasonable prices for both tickets AND drinks. The sound is pretty decent. I'm not local, but if I was in town again I'd definitely return.

This is one of the only mid-sized venues left in Tampa Bay, since State Theater shut down. It's a good venue, it gets good bands, but it isn't without some issues. The bathrooms are kind of bad, but not worse than your standard concert venue. The drink selection is okay, but I hope you like whatever two craft beers they have on tap at the moment. Craft beers are like $8, but they're 20oz, so that isn't really a bad price. However, the $20 minimum on cards means you have to get three of them, which might be too much to drive on if you're alone (especially if you're drinking a 7% IPA). I suggest using cash for drinks. I think they have an ATM in the building. They get good bands, and they also sometimes do good DJ events (like with the Communion After Dark hosts). It's an important part of the Tampa Bay music scene. I'll be back, but it isn't really like I have a choice. You have to go where the bands go.

I saw Northlane and Currents here, it was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Great location to get up close and see your band without paying ridiculous prices!

The Orpheum moved out of the Ybor location to a new location. An Indoor/Outdoor venue. Pros - Fairly spacious and never felt to packed, with the ability to be inside and hear the outdoor show I think that let's people roam and feel part of the show still. Multiple bars which helped to speed up drink service. Cons - Sound quality outside was okay, maybe it's due to sound ordinance but standing to the left of the stage(see photo) you could talk slightly above indoor voice and hear the person next to you just fine. It's a concert, we want it louder then that. Also the main vocals of every band seemed to be to quiet and at times tough to hear. Over all not a bad place, just needs some added UMPH to the sound and it'll be quality

I really enjoy coming to this venue. The tickets are affordable and they always have a great variety of bands/artists. I’ve been here several times and have always had a great experience. Whether you’re a pop rock fan or extreme metal fan, this is a great venue to enjoy such shows as well as having an area inside for people to put up merch for sale. It’s always a fun time here. :)

I went to see The Mission here. Had a great time, good sound, smoked Bar-B-Que in the courtyard. All in all a good experience. The only issue is parking, not enough spaces for a well attended concert, but there were plenty of places near the venue to park.

An excellent venue with a very intimate feel right in the heart of Ybor city. The acoustics of the building and the quality of the sound system made Teddy Swims and an already talented group of musicians produce an absolute lights out performance. I'll be back soon!

Good venue. Good staff decent beer selection and sound was decent if a little too much low end.. Moving to new location soon

The sound tech for the Orpheum always does a great job mixing, I'm left with just the right amount of ambient ringing in my ears, and the lights are spectacular, the real attraction are the poles though, they've been in countless photos throughout the years and it will be sad to see the place go.

One of my favorite venues! Great concerts, great staff and right in the middle of Ybor, so there's always something to do before & after the shows!

Great atmosphere. I saw Cold Cave & Riki on the indoor stage. There is a food truck in the outdoor area that served excellent tacos. Overall, a wonderful, larger scale venue.

Pretty efficient check-in process and the bartenders were friendly. Good layout and sound acoustics. Only issue was the $25 credit card minimum, which is a bit for one person who just wants 1-2 drinks and had to drive home after. Make sure you bring cash to avoid this issue.

  • 3/5 Timber 7 months ago on Google
The venue as a whole was fine. It's partial indoor partial outdoor. The sound was okay, the set up was okay the security staff was also okay. The bar tenders were friendly but the rules are a little outrageous. $25 minimum for a credit card and the only option for water is a $5 can of Liquid Death. So if you brought only a card and you're dd or dont drink, be prepared to BUY 5 cans of water all at once, I guess. Their ATM was broken as well, so there was no way to get cash and therefore no way to buy merch from someone of the bands that were cash only. There was a food truck with Mexican food and soup, but it was messy and not ideal for no great seating. Half the sinks in the bathroom don't work either, but it's a seedy venue, what do you expect? I just wouldn't pick nachos for the food choice. I was fortunate enough to get the absolute last parking spot in the lot, but would recommend showing up early unless you want to park and walk. The bands were great after all was said and done and this is a really cool spot to host more obscure things, so huge points for that. I'll go back, sure, but probably won't eat there again and remember to bring cash.

It is easily my favorite place in the Tampa area for small-time artists and bands. Bar is exceptional. My one and only complaint is that as someone with bad knees, it's a fight to get a seat at the bar.

Amazing venue!! Great music! Bar staff is super friendly and attentive! Clean place, bathrooms were nice (though the line for the ladies room is always super long..) awesome place with really great shows! Whoever manages the music there... awesome job. Can't wait to attend more shows!!

Love this venue. The new location is top shelf. So much nicer than ebore not to mention parking is a dream really a great move. The stage is wonderful the bar is big enough that everyone can be served it's perfect. Our daughter is in a rock band for junior teens and they allow Bach to rock to do their battle of the bands there twice a year. The kids love it they play it like it's an actual concert and it's a real experience for these youngsters. I think it's amazing that they give back.

While I do miss the old Orpheum in Ybor, this new spot has its own special charm. Love the large outdoor area. Sound is great. Staff is nice and hardworking. Prices are reasonable for a concert venue. My only complaint is parking. While they have a proper lot, it is small. So most folks have to park far away and walk a hefty distance. But overall, this place rocks 🀘🏾

Drove 6 hrs to see Blitzkid ..The staff was great, the bartender was right on point. The sound was great. Probably one of the best concerts I have been to and I have seen a lot of bands over the years.
