Seriously, stop here!!!! These are the nicest people you are ever going to meet!! And guess what? The food was phenomenally excellent!! We ordered Jerk chicken, Curry chicken, and the brown stew chicken, rice & peas, with corny bread, Mac and cheese, cabbage and coleslaw, literally everything was perfect, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, did I say perfect enough??? Perfect!!

One of Bartow's greatest hidden jewels! B&G Prestige Jamaican Restaurant is the best place if you want authentic Jamaican food that is always served fresh daily and packs as much flavor as you would expect from Jamaican cuisine. The restaurant is always super clean and brightly lit and the staff treats you as if you were already family. Food is served hot, which is hard to find these days from a restaurant. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great Jamaican cuisine that is always served up fresh, hot and tasty, keep up the great work please!

This place came recommended by a family friend. Let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint! Their jerk was sweet but definitely had the heat I was looking for. Also had the curry goat. It’s so easy to overcook goat and make it tough and rubbery, these folks know what they’re doing; the meat was so tender you barely needed the fork. To top it off, the had a large selection of D&G Jamaican drinks plus multiple types of Irish Moss drink. The only thing missing was scotch bonnet sauce. They were all out, but she promised me next time they’d hook me up. Came all the way from TX to try it out, and will definitely be back for more.

Best Jamaican food I’ve had in years. Curry chicken was fantastic, Mac and cheese was yummy, and cabbage was delicious. Will be back any time I ever find myself in Bartow again. And I hope it is soon.

My wife is a very good cook so she's picky about buying certain kinds of foods when she goes out. We tried this place. She had the oxtail and days later she actually went back. That says a lot. We prefer our food a little bit more spicy than how most restaurants prepare it but we've accepted that not every customer likes it that way. What I really like though is that their oxtail is cleaned up so you don't get a lot of useless fat like you get most places. The portions are also good. I was tempted to remove a star for the setting but I guess they're not trying to go for that 5 star ambiance. If you're there for the food though you likely won't be disappointed.

Friendly service and amazingly delicious food! Their Jerk chicken is flavorful and spicy, but not too spicy. The corny bread and cabbage are both perfect, and my family and I will definitely be making this a regular in our restaurant rotation! Yum 😋

Good Oxtail Stew is undoubtedly one of the most nutritious and savory dishes you can have, plus in me it acts as a comfort food. The oxtail here is delicious! I had it with Jamaican coleslaw and boiled veggies (it comes with rice and beans, of course!). It was nice listening to reggae while I enjoyed it too. :)

Corn bread muffin really good with the honey butter. Fries need to be crispy and seasoned. The Beef Meat pie,, mmm mmm good!!! Good place to eat at. Thank you!!!

Had the jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage and green beans. Loved it all. Tender spicy chicken. Could have enjoyed more cabbage, which was a little sweet, had carrots, and was cooked perfectly. Oh, that rice and peas was good to the last kernel and legume. Kind owners. Will definitely go back.

The outside strip mall restaurant with a big Jamaican Flag on it, you can't miss it. Walked in to nice ambient Jamaican music playing. The first thing to catch my eye was the writing on the wall, literally... It was a Jamaican proverb, it made me smile and made me interested in knowing the kind of person running the place. I walked up to the window, and a smiling elder woman of color greeted my friend and I. She was very polite and welcoming.. We ordered the curry chicken and curry goat both with rice and peas, one with Jamaican coleslaw and the other with cooked cabbage. Reasonably priced, portion was good enough to get full from. The flavor was delicious, it made my face happy. My friend enjoyed hers as well. There were a few wooden table and chairs there so we decided to eat there. The lady brought our food out to the table. We Grabbed a couple of the Jamaican sodas and had a great lunch. We then ordered 2 patties, not because we were still hungry, just because we wanted to try them... WARNING, If you don't like real spicy food, don't get the pattie. It felt like it melted my taste buds. Glad I ate the curry first or I wouldn't have been able to taste it. As we were getting up to leave, the lady thanked us and wished a quick return. That's when I found out that the lady was Gloria. Ms Gloria is the G in the B&G. Her and her husband run the place. I was truly blessed to have come across this place just because I wanted something different to eat. I could tell that Ms Gloria loves what she is doing. We asked her if she catered in Lake Wales since this place was located in Bartow, she said yes but she prefers to see her customers faces.. I love that. That just tells me she enjoys feeding people. When you enjoy feeding people the love shines through. Thanks B&G. I will visit again.

This was myself and my spouse first time visiting this restaurant and the experience and food was superb 😌 Stacy was very sweet and warm welcoming as well. She helped us choose our sides and gave great recommendations as well. We have tried Jamaican restaurants and food trucks in the past but this one will be our new spot. And the portion sizes are well worth it too. Enough to eat now and save some for later. Mac n cheese was amazing…all the food we ordered was amazing (Jerk chicken with rice and peas, Mac n cheese, with oxtail sauce on top of the rice && Curry Goat with white rice, Mac n cheese and cabbage)

Our first visit here and it will not be the last. We ordered the Jamaican Jerk chicken plate and it was AMAZING. The chicken melted off of the bones. The beef pattie was also very delicious. The employees were exceptional and kind. Also, I found a mango orange Sunkist pop (soda) in the treasure trove of drinks!!! Definitely recommend if you want home style cooked food.

Finally! I found a Jamaican restaurant that serves good quality rice similar to the Caribbean culture foods that my parents grew me up with. Plus the young lady in the front was friendly and courteous.

The restaurant sits in the corner of a plaza. The restaurant is clean and the staff is super nice. It looks like a family owned business with authentic jamaican food. I've ordered jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail. Everything I had was really good. Plus is doesn't taste heavy and the portion size is good for the price. If I need jamaican food, this is the place.

Service was really good and the person who took my order was delightful and kind. I ordered the jerk chicken with two sides of cabbage. I guess I’m not used to a barbecue sauce-based jerk, as I was expecting more of a spiced rub. I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce since I felt it really took away from the traditional jerk seasoning spices. It was OK. The cabbage was cooked really well, but again there was some sort of tomato base added to it, which I’ve never had cooked that style at a Jamaican restaurant before. I also didn’t get any spicy cabbage, so overall I’m not sure I would return.
