Beautiful hotel, I was married here in 2001, and it's still just as beautiful and elegant. I was most recently here for an anniversary party. The service was excellent, the food was very tasty and the reception room was gorgeous with an amazing view. My only complaint is parking, you have to valet. This hotel has a clean, beautiful beach and is very close to Sanibel.

This was an excellent experience for our family. My mom died in August and that was tough on us. My family plus my sister decided to take a trip to Florida for a distraction. This was exactly what we needed. The hotel isn’t back to 100%, but seems really close. Everyone was so nice here. We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants, they honestly seemed a bit pricey for average people like us. We also chose to self park the rental car to keep costs down. The atmosphere here is excellent and it has spectacular views of the sunsets. The pool areas are set up very nicely and the bar there is very handy.

My family and I loved our stay here! All the staff was incredibly courteous and beyond kind. the hotel itself is beautiful, in an amazing location. Special shout-out to Joel over in Charley’s Cabana bar. He was super helpful and very nice. He definitely made our experience this weekend much better. The food and drinks were awesome as well! Definitely recommending family and friends to stay here.

Two of the greatest front end clerks( friendly and all about service) but visit is falling short. View spectaculars. Room is clean, although had little bugs crawl out of coffee pot. No fridge in cabinet but brought us one immediately. Extra Towels and extra blankets delivered promptly but blankets were musty. Fans not working in bathroom so creating some steamy humid conditions. Beds and pillows comfortable. Service was slow at Charley’s Bar and it was a pretty slow night of guests. Didn’t have bourbon as listed. We’re here 5 more days so it can only go up. Dinner at Court side slow( there were three tables going) and just okay. My boys said gym was awesome. Two days later…. You can drink your face off but don’t expect to have food available after 10….no food in this resort anywhere??? Stunk after a long day of rain delays in baseball to come back and have zero food options. Dry cleaners also laundered baseball ball pants … they came back smelling good but were dirty like when I turned them in to be cleaned. Had to do dry clean option because one washer and dryer for 11 floors. Was trying to wash uniforms until 11:30 at night. We needed to be up at 5. Showed front desk pants and they did refund money. The front desk people make this place for sure.

Stayed here for my birthday was super excited to stay on the ocean which I had a beautiful view. The room itself was fine, there were spots that weren’t clean and the main light when you walked into the room didn’t work which was kinda irritating for how much I was being charged for the room. I had walked the room once getting there and that was after driving straight from Wisconsin, I could have made my complaints to the front desk but I honestly at that time was too tired to care and not in the mood to switch rooms after driving for the past 20 hours. They had complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash that smelled amazing but the conditioner was empty after 3 pumps so they may have forgotten to fill it. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a stay if you are planning on going

The place is amazing. Driving in to the resort felt amazing as well as the lobby and the customer service coming into the resort. We loved the room the moment we walked in and so fourth. After checking in we quickly settled down and ran to the pool. When we arrived the pool was amazing right next to the bar. BUT for some reason the music playing was not the vibe at ALL. They kept playing sad and unknown music really kept bothering me. After that we just ended up going back to the room and called room service to setup out sofa bed since they weren't aware to set it up. After showering we had a Disgusting smell coming from the pipe system in the restroom. We called the front desk and they simply said nothing could be done, that there was no way to resolve the smell. We went out to eat hoping when we come back the smell is gone and the bed is set up, when we came back an hour later the bed was just opened up and the sheets were in a bag for us to setup. I was really displeased with some of the experiences I dealt with. But after we woke up the breakfast staff was amazing, and we managed to check out later then expected due to eating breakfast late. Would I come back? yes. Just because of the location. But overall my family had a good experience.

Beautiful resort conveniently located just before the causeway to Sanibel Island. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Our room was on the 10th floor, had a balcony and overlooked the water. We were able to check in 4 hrs early as well! I did not agree with the self parking fee of $20 per day especially when we had to park so far away on the first day. Convenient coffee shop downstairs that opened at 6am. We did not dine at any of the hotel restaurants as we wanted to explore options on the island. Their Gift Shop has a nice selection however the salesperson was a bit annoyed when I asked to try on a necklace in the case. And there was no mirror to see it on. I almost purchased it but she ruined the vibe. It’s ok I’ll get it at a Brighton store when I get home. Overall a pleasant stay here celebrating my birthday. It’s nice to see another part of Florida.

This hotel is open but is still recovering from the hurricane. Elevators were pretty beat up, but we were glad they were functional as many in the area are not from hurricane damage. We stayed on the 7th floor and could smell the damp/mildew smell as soon as we stepped off the elevator. Found what looked like wood mites on some of the furniture. Might have been something else moisture related. It didn't create any specific issue for us, and we were too busy to stop and report/change rooms. Room had some repair needed. The power outlets were not all functional/loose, and the shower didn't drain. Some small holes in the room darkening shades. Carpet appeared stained and not well vacuumed. Had some noise issues with doors closing audible in our room at night. That said, the view from the balcony was great. Location is spectacular. Right at the Sanibel Causeway entrance and walking distance to Bimini Bait Shack. The front desk, valet, and bar staff were all very nice and friendly. I'm sure if I had made a complaint, it would have been addressed, but again, we didn't have time to deal with that.

What an incredible experience! We checked in late one Friday morning for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. From the moment we arrived, the warmth radiating by from the staff was welcoming. We were surprised with an ocean view balcony that offered the best view of the sunsets. And while we were due to return on that Monday, we received all the healing we needed by Sunday morning, cutting our stay short by a day. Best decision ever! We’ll certainly be back. We just hope it’s sooner rather than later!

Lovely stay at this beautiful place! Great for a romantic getaway or even a family stay. I was upgraded to an ocean view in the main tower. Great cocktails at the pool bar and food options. If you want to visit Captiva/Sanibel you will need to drive or take a taxi, as the resort doesn’t have direct access to the beach.

Great hotel, nice bars and restaurants, good pool, great views, super nice staff. We stayed for 4 nights in June, in the main tower with sea view rooms. The rooms are well equipped with a desk space, large TV, nice bathroom and decent balcony. They were clean, the beds were comfy and the shower was good (especially given how water pressure varies in the area). The hotel has good pools, and the pool bar was good - the food was average but the drinks were good and the staff are super friendly. Charley's Cabana Bar was also good, with much better drinks and similar food to the pool bar. The hotel is well positioned for great sunsets and views out towards the gulf, it's close to Sanibel Island but doesn't have any real beaches of it's own. Overall a great stay, it comes at a cost but all in all is probably worth it.

BUYER BEWARE! If you’re looking for a suite, be careful, there are TWO types and NO PICTURES of one of them. So, you think you’re getting a reasonable price on a suite but it’s really just a regular hotel room with a wall dividing the sitting area. There IS one benefit to this room: there are 2 balconies and the views are wonderful. We spent 4th of July weekend here and the ONLY events they had scheduled were tennis lessons for kids. Come on people - you’re supposed to be a resort - plan something! Many of the other resorts we’ve stayed at have fun stuff going on for holidays. SUMMARY: The Good: Beautiful views and the staff was friendly. The Bad: Kinda in disrepair and needs some attention. We live in Florida so we get what the sun and the salt air does to property but they could do better. The food is super expensive with tiny portions and drinks are expensive and a little weak. WOULD I GO BACK? No - better places to spend my money. We were disappointed and if it wasn’t for the great view we would’ve rated this hotel 2 stars.

Staying at this resort was amazing! I really love the facility. The pool was beautiful. The food at the restaurant was great. My favorite experience was the spa. My massage and facial are both incredible. The place was run very efficiently and every staff member was friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back

I was with a large group over 3 days. The friendly staff made us feel welcome and assisted our every need. The interior is beautifully decorated. The exterior is fantastic, especially the pool and jacuzzi. It's a tropical paradise. There are several restaurants and bars. I ate at two of them[Tarpon House and Charley's] and really enjoyed my entrees.

Beautiful views from our waterfront balcony. We didn’t need to leave the resort. The servers took great care of us at the pool. Loved the jet ski and yacht dinner cruise. Friendly staff who accommodated our early check-in and stay extension. Room was clean and sanitized. Overall great time!!

Most hotel staff are very attentive and have a unique desire to take care of your every need. It's the few that tend to ruin a pleasurable resort experience. The fact that this resort took a brutal hit from hurricane Ian a year ago, the facilities are impeccably in order. Very few missing amenities that would make things better were problematic.

This property is still recovering from the damages of the hurricane of September 2022. My review is based on my experience staying at this hotel for few days in December 2023 although I stayed here for first time in 2021 . The property location is fantastic! Just steps from the waters of the golf of Mexico. The pools, Jacuzzi, bar, restaurant and opportunities for activities within the hotel and in the area are just great. Dinning while cruising this resort private yacht is unique ! Rooms need some love and attention, things look and smelled old (even before the hurricane). Also, we had problems with the quality of the Internet signal and the T.V. and room A/C didn't work properly even after technicians check on it. Customer Service was Phenomenal !!! Breakfast buffet selection and freshness is second to none but service is truly the best part of it !!! Can't wait to see how the property will look after all renovations are completed.

Right on the water and I recommend the ocean view rooms. Can't beat the sunrises and sunsets. The pool is very clean and well maintained. With a view of the ocean from your lounge chair. They have multiple properties in the same location and they usually separate the older more relaxed people to this hotel location and keep the families and kids over at the hotel with the big pool and hot tub.

I had an incredible stay for so many reasons! -Yoga on the beach with Angelina and Sarah! They are wonderful people and doing yoga with them was healing and the highlight of my trip. The Marriott has yoga on the weekends now. -Dinka in the spa was so friendly and welcoming and gave me an amazing tour! Such an awesome person. -The staff were accommodating and it seems many love their job and are proud to work there. That was special to see. -The chef at Tarpon made a delicious fully vegan Buddha bowl. -Roots Cafe had great coffee and it was nice having a local vendor. -The bay views from the room were gorgeous and you can see dolphins often!

The room had no wash clothes, my wife called and 4 hr later still no wash clothes. I called again and an hour later they delivered the wash clothes. The room was clean, the pillows are horrible and they are so flat that even if u stack 3 of them on top of one another its like your laying flat on the bed. The view from the room was amazing. The restaurant inside by the pool had horrible food. The fish tacos, had fish that smelled so fishy I was able to smell it before it got to the table. I had the fresh catch snapper and it was not good. My daughter had a filet and u could just look and see that it had been sitting under a warmer for quite a while.

Fantastic resort, huge property with lots to do. It was our first time staying here and we’d certainly go back. Lots of space, all the restaurants are really good and it’s really beautifully kept up. Our room was spacious with a dining table and little bar area, sitting area, two tvs, work space and lovely little patio. Clean and bright. The people here are what really make it though. We had such fantastic service from nearly everyone we interacted with. The only negative was a manager confronting an employee in front of all of us sitting at the pool bar and them getting into an altercation while guests sat there very uncomfortably listening to them argue, which was incredibly inappropriate and management 101 is never to let anything like that happen, so we left. Otherwise wonderful stay and definitely recommended.

Beautiful location. Came here with family years back and returned with my husband. The views are outstanding. The food was very good although extremely expensive. Wish there were more affordable options at the hotel to grab a quick bite. We stayed in the captiva tower. Loved the location of our room. The lobby was nice, pool was nice and they even had cookies out every day in the lobby in the afternoon. Very convenient having a shuttle running all the time. The food at the court side steakhouse was awesome and great service there. However I do have a few complaints. The foul low tide smell throughout most of the week was rancid. Couldn’t sit on our patio for most of it nor use that pool because of it. The thermostat in the rooms maxes out at 70 degrees for air conditioning which is absolutely ridiculous for such a nice hotel, and in Florida no less. Although you can "set it" at 65 or lower, it shuts off when the room hits 70. What a scam. It was way too warm in our room and there was no way around it. The service at the other dining spots in the hotel was terrible. Staff was rude at the Tarpon house. What probably stuck out to me the most at this hotel was the nauseating perfume smell in the lobby every time we entered either of the lobbies. Marriott must use some sort of strong chemical to clean. It was too much. Lastly, the fees were excessive. To pay for parking at this hotel was unnecessary and if it weren’t for all the fees we would probably return.

Wonderful experience. Lexis behind the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay extra memorable. She was wonderfuly kind and extremely knowledgeable. Cathy at the lobby bar was also a bright spot. Can't wait to come back to see what else the resort has to offer!! 7/7/22

This is the first time I can say I’ve given a resort two stars. I booked prior to reading reviews and made the choice to gain my own experience. Nelson is an absolute gem and was the highlight of our stay. He is a great example of the Marriott Brand Standards and deserves 5 stars. For the two star rating …. Upon checking in, I was not informed that a Continental Breakfast was included to Platinum Elite Members, nor were we offered water. The A/C did not work in one of our rooms. Absolutely no one answered the phones, to report it. The next morning I head to the front desk and ask for a late checkout, Diane immediately says 1PM is the latest available. I work in the hotel Industry and was fully aware of the EXTREMELY LOW occupancy. I then asked, if she could look up my room to see if that’s the latest available. She stands firm that 1pm is the latest she can do. For this property to lack amenities, it was really the minor things that could’ve fixed it. Diane chose not to honor the 4pm checkout that is offered to members, which is not okay. I did not want to have to worry about the kids not being able to shower after a pool day before hitting the road. All in all, we didn’t have a pool day, checked out by 10am and probably would never return to the property.

What a wonderful experience. Jimmy was most accommodating driving the golf cart around the property. I never felt like I was bothering him. He helped me get my luggage from the car and up to my room. What a great, 18 year, employee you have there! Cannot wait to come back.

Highly recommend this place to stay and great service and been staying at the resort for over 10 years. Cat the bartender is very knowledgeable and great at her job. Go see her and have her make you a old fashion.

We were here for 3 nights for my son's wedding. It was the perfect location, always a beautiful view from anywhere on the resort. Staff, service, and food were exceptional. I would recommend this venue for any formal gathering!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott in April 2023. Lexxi was our hotel manager and went above and beyond to assure us a nice stay. Our Sweet at the Sanibel Tower was beautiful, spacious and Newley renovated facing the Harbor and pool area. All the staff attentive and ready to please. Our lunch and breakfast delicious. A warm “thank you”, to everyone! Sara Jones

Very disappointed. Room was not as expected by pictures we saw on website. We had to travel 3 different floors just to get ice. The TV in room has maybe 10 channels where only 2-3 worked. We only had a choice of the News or Family Feud, very boring. The restaurants located in hotel only served part of the menu until after 5:30 p.m. which made no sense to us. Only a fridge in bedroom and a tiny coffee maker. You have to pay $15 dollars to park there or $25 for valet parking for a hotel that offers nothing in my opinion. They offer you to FREE bottled waters per day not cold. This place appears to be high class, I would never go back. I would have done better staying home honestly.

Map I was given at check in needs major improvements. It has no compass and the map's orientation is unclear. North on the map is not north and I had no way of knowing that. I was put in the Captiva building which is about a 5-10 min walk from the lobby and main building. As I exited the lobby after check in with my map I was extremely turned around and seeing as how the road on the map is the same color as the background it was just overall confusing. I asked an employee in a golf cart for help and he kindly drove me over to my building. Was on the 8th floor which is the highest. There are 11 floors in the main building. I got into my room just in time for sunset. Thermostat was not working properly. I set it to 76° F and left for dinner because the room was very cold. Came back and it was still ice cold so I turned the thermostat off and just opened the patio door to let in some warm air. I didn't call about it because it was late and I was pretty tired. Room was clean, employees were nice. There is a shuttle that will take you from the Captiva building to the main building if you dial 0 so I got a ride over in the morning. Overall had a fine experience but if management is reading this, please consider updating your property map.

It was great to see this resort open. It is not on Sanibel Island, but right at the bridge going over. We always like to stay in the Captiva Tower, because the pool is pretty much all yours. If you prefer to be near the bar, you definitely want to stay in the main tower. The restaurants are good, and the exercise room/spa area is beautiful.

Loved this hotel! Great location on San Carlos Bay across from Sanibel. Beautiful rooms. Good food across 3 restaurants! Friendly staff. Only gym was sub-par. Old equipment.

We stayed five nights during a conference. We were in the Captiva Tower in an accessible room, which was great. Large and easy to get around, true roll-in shower. There is a pool and lobby, but all the other amenities, bars, restaurants, shop, conference spaces, are in the north, main area. It is about a ten minute walk, but there is a constant shuttle that runs back and forth. If you are just running up for dinner, they are glad to valet your vehicle. The views and amenities are first class. We expected and gladly paid resort prices for a great experience. Although the entire Ft. Myers area suffered greatly from the hurricane, many things are available as the area comes back.

Overall, this is a nice resort with lots of amenities and restaurants with very good food. They have someone that provided transportation throughout the resort to get to many areas a little far from the main hotel. The views are beautiful and it's right on the water. The sunsets are a must see when staying here. The front desk staff are exceptional and provided excellent recommendations and service. We had reservations at the restaurant on the resort, it was top notch, food and service was very good. My issue with this resort is the rooms, they need to be updated. I would return as the area is convenient and the resort is close to Sanibel Island.

I am a wedding planner and have also stayed as a guest here. Just planned a wedding for my bridal clients this past weekend. Joanne Kreise in Wedding/Events was wonderful to work with and her staff is excellent. Rohan, the Catering Manager was also excellent and exceeded our expectations. I look forward to planning and referring more weddings here💖

Location is right before the toll bridge heading to Sanibel town proper. We were able to do the dinner cruise during our stay and that was really nice. On check-out day, power went off and generator did not kick in. They did help us with our luggage (8th floor) as we navigated to go down the stairs to the lobby.

We booked this resort on Priceline before really digging into the conditions of the hotel. Unfortunately we later found out that the spa is closed for renovations due to the hurricane. Most amenities are up and running, including the pool, bar and restaurants onsite. It’s $15 a day for parking and $25 a day for valet. The self parking is quite a long walk to the hotel, so they do try to pressure you into valet. The morning we were supposed to checkout we woke up feeling super hot and sweaty! Unfortunately the hotel’s power had gone out and the rooms were all heating up. Everyone had to use the stairs and really the only amenity left was the pool. Although we enjoyed ourselves the first night and the bed was comfy, this hotel was nothing special and still has a ways to go to fully recover from the hurricane. The nice thing is it’s an 11 min drive over the bridge to Sanibel which makes the location prime for tourists. This is definitely a tourist trap and they nickel and dime you for everything. We didn’t get our receipt until a few days after due to the power outage and we noticed they charged multiple resort fees, for what? There are definitely a lack of amenities right now so I don’t understand the extra fees one bit. Even if we got a deal on the one night, the added fees, lack of the spa and the power outage really put a damper on our experience.
