Banbasa Barrage is a hidden gem!The tranquil waters, lush greenery, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers. The Barrage itself is a remarkable engineering marvel, and the surrounding area offers great birdwatching opportunities. Don't forget to bring your camera and enjoy the serenity of this place.❤️

Good place in evening. I found remains of a small gauge rail network around Banbasa barrage.

The barrage connects uttrakhand to Nepal border. The view around it is beautiful with waters running at a fast speed across the dams. The hills of Nepal are also closeby. You can cross the border of Nepal from there with proper documents and enter the nearby towns. The barrage is very slim and you have to be careful while walking. One car in a single lane can go at a time.

Beautiful location,no visa,, no passport, only you need 35 🇮🇳👳Indian rupees to cross the indo-Nepal border. Amazing 93 years old British era dam. For the locals it is a beautiful picnic spot, and for the outsiders it's a memorable spot. Photography prohibited due to security reasons.

Good place, worth seeing, although photography is prohibited here but you may find people taking selfies or photographs. Linking road is not good and requires repair. You have to take care of small children here.
